Vapor Bloom

Unique and beautiful. My first brief impression is the citrus - the orange & lime feel more like a sparkling grapefruit. Then, as promoted, I feel the 'cold glass in space' vibe. I feel the faintest note of well-used, and sometimes hot robotic joints. I sense that not every gas seal is perfect, but I do wonder what mysterious elements are in that mechanical gas. What a masterpiece! Now, we have the floral dry-down. I'm no expert on floral notes, but imagine you're in First Class on a space ship. In the exclusive space spa, you're using the most luxurious grown-up soaps & products. Florals, woods, bitter-on-sweet - so compellingly mysterious. Despite the scent of 'nature' (mysterious space flowers & woods), there's always that hint of 'not on earth' in this fragrance. Earth is long gone. Vapor Bloom is a 'must sample' for collectors. I'm so glad to have a full bottle.

This is one of my favurite perfumes. Definitely not for everyone but if you like slightly weirder scents you will like this. I can't stop smelling it whenever I wear it. Nostalgic but futuristic at the same time. The start is very harsh with the gas and metallic notes (which I love), but it dries down with the amber and vanilla making it pretty inoffensive in my opinion.

this fragrance is crazy it smells like gasoline or petrol which is awesome for the people who love that smell it’s one of those weird fragrances that keeps you coming back and smells more to comprehend it

An overworked electric motor, liquid cooled by lime cordial. Love it. One of those unexpected triumphs in unique perfumery.

Suchhhh an interesting scent. Somehow, they managed to emulate the EXACT feeling of Frutiger Aero or Chromecore translated into a scent. I was sold it in person, and the retail worker described it as emulating the vibe of 1990s computers, tech and hardware. Think yellowed plastic boxy computers and keyboards, old computer extractor fans blowing out mechanical smelling fumes (in kind of a nice way) with hints of nature somewhere buried in there (maybe the air intake from some spring flowers from a nearby window) - but mostly feels metallic, artificial and technological in a hopeful way? I grew up with old Macintoshes and somehow this instantly awakened a feeling of huge nostalgia in me - even though those computers didn't smell exactly like this at all the description brought me back to my childhood. It's more of a familiar feeling. Super nostalgic yet futuristic at the same time. Not necessarily nice but so so so interesting. Can imagine many wouldn't like it, but I think the description I got when smelling it informed my perception of this a lot. It's not something I'd wear every day or even often, but if you're looking for an interesting scent that blends future and nostalgia, this is IT.

my sister says it smells like a greasy mechanic eating key lime pie on his lunch break. to me it smells like a nutribullet that’s working too hard. like, ozonic engine smell. dirty in a way i can’t attribute to grease, but certainly mechanical in nature. kind of smoky, almost. i cannot smell any of the citrus on me. if you have ever abused a nutribullet by not adding enough liquid that is exactly what this smells like.

I can't rate this fragrance in good conscience it does what it sets out to do so well (good) and smelling it makes me want to hurllll (bad). Trips up the same part of my brain that activates my fight ot flight when I smell transmission fluid. Passed it on to a friend who said it smells like perfume a mechanic would wear.
