Seminalis

This is my favorite fragrance of all time and my signature scent. There is simply nothing like it in the world. Seminalis, like all of Gualtieri’s creations is parfumerie done as art at the highest, most avant-garde level. Many label the idea behind this scent (being that of sperm) as a pure marketing tactic, but I’d like to believe that it is much more beautiful than that. Seminalis is a celebration of life and its creation, a process so absurd, yet so beautiful, and one that we have all undergone in order to be alive today. It supposedly contains bourgeonal, which is the chemical secreted by the egg to lure the sperm towards her, therefore truly making this fragrance the scent that started life. I think that’s beautiful. The fragrance itself is even more complex than it is given credit for. Having worn it forever now, I still occasionally pick up on new subtleties and new ways it interacts with different weathers and environments. Seminalis opens up with a sharp woody and latex-like accord. This opening is definitely what throws the most people off as they are often immediately repulsed at the unconventional scent paired with the perception they have of the fragrance based off its name. I personally love the opening, for the woody and slight creaminess in the back brings out a maturity in the latex accord that prevents it from being an endeavor of mere crude humour. After about an hour, the latex takes a back seat as the sandalwood begins to dip itself into a gorgeous condensed milk accord that is truly mouth-watering. To this day, I have never seen condensed milk synthesized so well in a fragrance and I wonder whether it was even the intended note Gualtieri had envisioned. This sandalwood + condensed milk combo swings neither overly gourmand nor woody, nor does it lean masculine or feminine, it simply strikes the perfect balance. It is helped on by floral notes, which I believe to be lily-of-the-valley (what bourgeonal supposedly smells like). This portion of the fragrance essentially lasts the whole day, at least 18 hours, as do most of Gualtieri’s creations (no clue how the man does it time and again). The projection is also NUCLEAR on my skin, I frequently receive texts from my friends saying they know I am in a certain building as soon as they walk in, even though I would usually be in a closed room far from the entrance. And that is only from my usual three sprays of the fragrance. The floral sweetness lingers into the skin-scent phase as a vanilla-esque accord and the sandalwood finish off the journey. By this time, you are in bed after a long day and the perfume rocks you right to sleep. Those are the most prominent notes I get from the fragrance, but there were times where I spotted great hints of raspberry, chai latte, and something akin to carnation. The complexity is truly off the roofs and I have never been bored of wearing this scent. It is also one of those that really fit into any weather or occasion. Yes, it reads more like a cooler weather scent because of the sweeter, more woody feel, but I have rocked this in summer and spring with no difficulty not cloyingness, and just as many compliments. It could also be an everyday scent (although admittedly unusual, but being an artist myself that’s more of a badge of honour than anything). It most definitely suits a date night, and can absolutely be dressed up for a special occasion. Bottom line is, Seminalis is my dream fragrance. It has a beautiful story and artistic vision that connects with me on a spiritual level. It has a scent unlike any other in its uniqueness and complexity. And on top of everything, you’re getting back for your buck with its performance. Unless this ever gets discontinued, and God forbid it does, I see myself wearing this for life.

This is for someone who has not decided yet on getting a decant, please ignore every review that tells you that this smells horrible because it doesn't. The story behind the "Orto Parisi" line is based in an artistic way, an artistic idea, the idea that every perfume in "Orto Parisi" is based on our body, which is a garden, thus every perfume from the line is inspired by something from our body, and in this case "Seminalis" is inspired by "the scent of the creation" hence the name "Seminalis" which is very inspired from the name "Seminal fluid", yes, it's basically called "Sperm" however it has nothing to do with it from an olfactive point of view, no, it does not smell like seminal fluid, the whole story behind it is just an homage to the "honor of life", nothing more. The usual untrained nose can easily like and even enjoy this perfume, it's different? yes, it's creamy, nutty, even lactonic, basically smells very cozy, safe, warm, it's vanillic in nature, has a santal note too, so it's also woody, it projects a little bit less than other from the line however it persists like CRAZY, it's a soft and very sophisticated smell and it's very easy to wear, I would say that it's more easy to wear Seminalis compared to Bergamask. Note : the reason is called "Seminalis" is that there is a note inside of the formula called "Bourgeonal" which is an "aromatic aldehyde" which is associated with the smell of " lily of the valley, otherwise described as floral, watery" and this specific note is believed since 2003 to be involved in helping the sperm locate the ovum, so, yes, this perfume has a note found in our human bodies which helps to create life and not only that but due to this, most people can describe this scent as being an erotic or even sexual scent, for some it can be felt better for others less. With all of this said, Seminalis itself can also have an aphrodisiac effect due to the existence of the "Bourgeonal" in it. When smelling this pefume you will sense : sweet wood, warm cookie like scent straight from the oven, nuttyness, vanilla, white flowers, warm milk smell, sugar, some freshness. Do yourself a favour and buy a 5ml decant, you will love the scent, and even if you don't, this perfume does not deserve slander if you don't like it, it's like a piece of art from an exhibition, you don't like it? fine, move on to the next piece of art, not everything must be appealing to everyone, your nose might feel something different compared to mine however, just for the experience of smelling this, get yourself a decant, who knows if you gonna love it ;)

Oh! My! God! This is incredible! Love at first smell. This smells like a used rubber that you just freshly took off, but not in a vile and raunchy way, but in the most warm, comforting way, and that stays throughout the whole wear. This smells like aftercare in a bottle, not sex appeal, not feminine/masculine extremes that smell attractive, but just as sweet sex. Not a scent that you'd wear out to a club to get laid, but the scent you'd wear to meet up with your long distance lover. Finally being able to enjoy each other's physical and emotional company, and wanting to leap on them. Something you'd wear to seduce an ex who's seen you naked a thousand times, you've ditched the performative dressing up and getting ready, and just want each other in the purest most true form. The opening is a little citrusy in my opinion, maybe thats the slightly intense rubber smell. Then it settles down and starts to sweeten up, still smelling like a used condom, but just sweeter and sweeter by the minute. As it's settled I'm getting a little bit of a sweet rice water note in there, almost like a rice pudding, but not nearly as sugary. After an hour or two it starts smelling more lactonic, like a warm glass of milk. Then it develops even more, sweetening up even more with the vanilla starting to come through. Some places list carnation, lily of the valley, and raspberry at the heart notes, and I honestly can't smell anything fruity or floral about this. It smells a little powdery and ricey to me, in a lovely way. Not typical powdery, but the powder you'd get on a condom as it's out in the air. I'm also not smelling much patchouli or sandalwood directly, but I believe it's there. Honestly, I couldn't care less about the notes in this because the whole fragrance is just so damn good, you could tell me there's an eyeball and feces and i'd go "yeah smells great". Honestly this is a pretty inoffensive perfume. I can absolutely see how someone would go "hmm not for me" but I can't see anyone finding it straight up disgusting or unpleasant. At no point was there a note in this were I though "ugh let's just fight through this to see if it settles nicer" every whiff I got was pure bliss, and I couldn't stop smelling myself. This is a scent that keeps on giving, and I'm not a believer in signature scents but this fragrance is questioning that. I need a full bottle ASAP!

This one is an odd-ball. On first application, it does have a very woody attack. I wouldn't say the patchouli is aggressive but it's certainly prominent. The milky sweetness slowly starts to rear its head in waves after a moment of settling on the skin. I'd already bought Viride from Orto Parisi on a blind buy without realizing the "shock" nature of the brand, so after staring at the strange and vague images on the website, I eventually realized I was investigating what I now refer to as my "cum perfume" to my friends. I eventually just blind bought this one as well seeing as OP doesn't seem to value easily accessible samples, and I was very pleasantly surprised to find that I truly did enjoy it when it arrived. It's less semen-scented, though, as it is the suggestion or the idea of it. It reminds me of the milk my granny used to make me to help me go to sleep when I was young. She'd stir one spoonful of sugar into it and heat it in the microwave for a moment before letting me sip on it before putting me to bed. It's increasingly lactonic as it sits, and becomes very sweet and pleasant but with a strange musky undertone that sets it apart from being purely milky or vanilla-y. It does evoke a certain type of rag, I will say. Strangely enough, it almost reminds me of Female Christ by 19-69. I blind bought a bottle of FC back in 2022 and liked it well enough to wear it consistently for about a month before it suddenly turned on me and I couldn't stand to smell it anymore. It was a bit too spicy and aggressive for me, and overstayed its welcome on my skin. Seminalis, on the other hand, is a softer and sweeter alternative to the same family of scent profiles, and wears softer and softer as the day goes on. I never like to wear a common perfume, I always like it to have some kind of strangeness or off-putting quality to it to set it apart, and Seminalis has just enough to warrant buying it instead of some other woody/patchouli scent. (I'm still working on picking my notes apart as I've only recently taken a deep dive into the world of perfumery.) This scent is sweet, musty, woody, sweaty, and overall a little perverted. It feels like weird sex with a man you're attracted to enough to sleep with but not enough to text him back the next day. 10/10, will be wearing to family dinners.

This happened to be one of those samples which, after having tried it, I just had to get the full bottle (not arrived yet). But with a good enough price only, I wouldn't pay 200 for it as some ask. I read the comments before I ordered my sample plus comments about two other scents from the same company. I was curious and already imagined how it may smell. Then I opened the little ball vial, smelt it and felt "Wow, there's something here that is very fine and "smells expensive"-kind." Then I poured it into a spray vial and sprayed it on. Oh dear, this is so special and good! This is floral, sweet, faint and it has this one ingredient that is like a sparkling metal wire in a gas environment -- stupid comparison but I can't say it more precisely. I mean the whole scent is ethereal, faint, but notable enough and long lasting, and the special ingredient that gives a feeling of something sparkling (fiery sparks) seems to hold everything together. This note smells similar to the miraculous ingredient in Orlov Paris's Walk On The Wild Side (my current signature scent) and MFK's BR540. After a few days, having just finished the sample, I realised that I have another scent that is similar to this but many times stronger: Orlov Paris's Flame of Gold. Flame of Gold is sweet, luxurious, lush, full of feelings and it doesn't have this special spunky ingredient in it while Seminalis is moderate, tactful, nice, delicate, persistent, polite version of it (when comparing in this direction). So I don't know what are people talking about in many comments that are body-related. But I see I'm not the only one who doesn't let the name fool me. This scent is like a beautiful poetry (for those who value it). Edit 24.03.26: over time, it has become a heavy and sweet patchouli bomb for my nose. I don't smell the sparkling part anymore, did it fly away in the air? From the bottle? I have also discovered that the sparkling part that I felt initially is available in an extreme concentration in Crystal Saffron by Matiere Premiere which is absolutely amazing. It can be that Seminalis smells differently in different times, time will tell better. But I have learned that I have to use it carefully, only a little, otherwise the patchouli + sweetness (whatever it is) is so strong that it becomes suffocating.

This is an underrated gem. I have all Orto Parisi, so here we go with my review after several months with it. This a a lactonic, musky, vanilla, woody, floral and slightly metallic and earthy fragrance. This is lactonic all throughout the way. But this actually starts with a patchouli earthiness with a certain synthetic pungent-animatic smell reminiscent of latex. Or maybe the pachouli with the milky note blended with a musk note is giving it that effect? Anyways, the latex thing can be a bit off putting but it just last the first 5 minutes. After the initial opening. The fragrance reveals itself to be a sandalwood fragrance with milky notes and vanilla, plus some sweaty (or you call it animalic) musk with some floral aspects that I think it is Lilly of the Valleys giving it backbone. Now, key of the fragrance here, the way Gualtieri blended it, you take the milky note + the creamy sandalwood + vanilla+ salty musk and you create something that smells like a thick sweet-salty butter, like you take the danish butter cookies and make a thick cream from it but the saltiness from the musk removes any gourmand associated out of it cause the salt is reminiscent human sweat. it is like trying to go gourmand but it goes into a completely different direction. The fragrance has a thick smell as semen (lmao) but airy and fluffy at the same time.The lily of the valley gives it some floral airiness and there is a fully musk that make it smell softer the more it dry-downs. The dry-down gets less thick and less lactonic, But woodier by the sandalwood, slightly more floral and earthy with pachouli. the pachouli + Sandalwood chemical compounds gives a slightly metallic undertone to the fragrance making it, what I say, the typical dry-down of all Orto Parisi fragrances. I mean, all Orto Parisi fragrances have a dry-down that try to resembles their respective caps with metallic notes. It is a versatile fragrance. Can be used all seasons. It seats in the middle in term of performance compared the other Orto Parisi ; that means not the best performaning from the line but also not among the weaker performers. Lastly, perhaps my most complimented Orto Parisi fragrance.

My Take on Seminalis by Orto Parisi : The opening hits with a blast creamy, slightly citrusy, vanilla, and musky. It’s uplifting and warm, but not in the typical amber heavy way. Instead, it feels velvet like, abstract, and deeply comforting. There’s something almost addictive about this stage. As it develops, the musk takes center stage animalic, somewhat raw, reminding me of Bergamask. The lemon like brightness fades into the background, replaced by a powdery element that to my nose resembles lily of the valley. Eventually, it dries down into a musky, sweaty, yet oddly pleasant skin like scent like the smell of an incredibly natural, living person. Classic Alessandro Gualtieri a true artist at work. I expected Seminalis to be similar to Silver Musk (Nasomatto), but that’s not the case. Silver Musk is cleaner, lighter, and more versatile, while Seminalis is dirtier, more animalic, and unapologetically intimate borderline sexual. Interestingly, I find a strange connection between Seminalis and Amouage Guidance. They’re extremely different but they share a certain similarities perhaps the category ? Creaminess, bit powdery and etc...(Amouage is more mass appealing of course) The funniest part is the polarized reviews. Some call it “disgusting,” but I see that as smart marketing, paired with the suggestive name. People often reject what’s unfamiliar or too “weird,” especially if they’re only used to safe, mass appealing fragrances. Personally, I’ve smelled far bigger “shockers” than this. To me, Nasomatto and Orto Parisi perfumes are not unwearable they’re just more artistic and carry soul. My verdict: 9/10. It’s an outstanding piece of perfumery. Would I wear it myself? Probably not it leans too feminine for my taste. I gravitate more toward scents that smell like animals, smoke, or eastern oud especially Indian or Cambodian. But still, I can’t deny it this is an amazing perfume.

You check this fragrance out online and it sounds nasty, dirty, almost disgusting. It feels almost immature to read about and filthy for the sake of it. After all, this is the house that produced Cuoium, with its black-toothed grin and its sinister giggle, and Megamare, with its blank eyes and creeping dread. This one, with the nasty namesake, must be as dramatically edgy... And then you smell it IRL. I have to say, i was shocked. I thought I would be repelled, i thought I would roll my eyes at how juvenile it was. I was wrong, but a little right; this DOES smell juvenile, just in a way that doesn’t read as haha-dirty-liquid-joke. It is beautiful and clean, with an undercurrent of milk, and evokes a white sheet that was recently washed, only to be soaked in water and a little cream soap. There’s a flower in there, shy but not anxious, blooming at you slightly, only very slightly, like it’s blushing. I saw an Instagram account (I believe it was fragrance poetry?) say that it smelled like a first love. I have every inclination to agree. It is youthful and mysterious but not pretentious, honestly! It is earnest and sweet and bashful and eager and kind of strong as all hell considering i just tried to wash it off and it is STILL there, while the spritz of Jasmin et Cigarette i tried had since been removed. It’s like the first day of your life. I wrote a long and dramatic review for Serge Lutens’ L’Orpheline a while back, and someone left one later saying “Why does everyone turn into a poet after smelling this?”. I felt embarrassed but also defensive, because a scent that beautiful deserves a beautiful description. This is the same. This fragrance has a story, it has a wide array of perspectives, and it truly has something to say. I listened, and I will never stop thinking of it.

I wasn’t ready for this! At first wear, Seminalis felt like I’d made a mistake. I knew the Orto Parisi/Nasomatto universe well enough to expect feral genius and I hyped myself up with a vision of "Tilda Swinton naked in A Bigger Splash but there's a twist she's also an alien"...I thought it would be my spring/summer SHOCKER fragrance that got people talking. On first wear, it was a little cold. Much like a one night stand. Sweet in a way that made me uncomfortable. Like latex lingerie and powdered sugar. I didn’t get it. I didn’t want to get it? But I kept it. And I started wearing it on days I knew I’d be alone. Days when I didn’t have to talk to anyone, or explain my choices, or exist for anyone else's pleasure but my own. And that’s when it bloomed!! Now I can’t stop thinking about it much like every other scent Ive tried from Alessandro Gualtieri. It smells like warm skin and condoms and your favorite moisturizer but leftover from the day before. Musk that gets caught in your collarbone. The drydown clings like a sexy secret that you sniff and smile to yourself. Like having a flashback to a very hot memory on the subway. It’s still a scent I wear for me. But it has become a comfort. A companion. And it makes me feel hot. Not like “dressed-up-going-out” hot—more like touched-all-day-and-dreaming-of-that-touch hot. A little uncertainty and a little sacred. I’m re-upping my split. Full bottle is pending spiritual justification. If you don’t get get Seminalis right away—good. It's not for the impatient. But when it finally happens? You'll be blushing with a cheshire grin.

OK. I'm going to assume if you are here Reading this, you know what this is and you know what it means. Let's get it out of our system. Yes semen. Har Har Har. Insert Navy joke here har Har Har. This fragrance is actually very wearable. I assume since everything from this perfumer is intentional the wearability is very intentional as well. Why? I'm not going to sit here and pretend I know the answer, and I hope you do the same. But the beauty in artistry is within its contemplation. There was one thing we all can agree upon and that is sex is enjoyable. If you ask me, I would say it is Number one on my list! Lol. On a serious note though it is a great unifier. If AG is looking for inspiration for the perfect unisex fragrance, this concept of unification through sex is a genius idea. It could also be seen as the father of all other concepts to come. Through here we establish everything else. Let’s apply that to the supposed note breakdown. The one thing I can pick up is milk. Nourishment. The one thing you have to have in order to survive and thrive. What happens after that is anyone's guess. And I think that's how it is supposed to be. Personally, I pick up on tonka and some type of cedar. That's not so spectacular. It is what is happening behind closed doors or behind the scenes that really makes this fragrance amazing. I don't know how he does it. But there is something going on that creates its own personality. There is Life going on. I'm going to end it here. Try it. See for yourself.

I am revisiting this. Initially the blast of clean, creamy, musky wood made me think that I smelled the feeling of love. It was a bashful, naive, and fluttery first impression. And then I bought it and wore it again after a period of sickness. I was... a little shocked. It was what I remembered... I didn’t remember it smelling so vaguely clinical and chemical. There was a sweetness at first, and then the second and third time, the sweetness was almost unbearable. I maintain that it smells like love— a first love, maybe. First loves are rarely long and healthy ones. For Seminalis, you smell it once, and the longer you wear it the succeeding times you put it on, you begin to wonder just how much of the happiness was imagined, hallucinated. I don’t think that takes away from the fact that this is a masterpiece. Perfume is art, and art is supposed to challenge you at times. I feel sufficiently challenged, the same way any partnership between two people will inevitably be challenged. Few first loves ever last; they change, constantly, and through change, they grow. There is a dirty, almost manufactured uneasiness behind all this milky white musk, and if you think too hard, you might be turned off entirely... either that, or you might achieve the opposite, sitting across a fragrance at the dinner table and realizing that the choice you’ve made to appreciate and know this fragrance is a little more important than any shattered first impression. But also, don’t wear this to the office.

“Invisible, yet Real” Sometimes at night, when everything is quiet and no one is around, I reach for it. Not just as a bottle, but as someone who was always hidden behind sounds and lights. Someone who was never really in my life, but my body knew it had to find him. The first time I touched it, I was scared. A tremor ran through my heart and skin — as if suddenly a forbidden memory woke up that I didn’t even know existed. But then, slowly, gently... I breathed it in close. Its scent filled my lungs, the skin behind my neck, and something inside me broke — not from pain, but from seeing myself. Not the “ordinary me,” not the one who walks, laughs, stays silent in front of others... but the me who was always hidden. Thirsty for touch. Thirsty to be desired. Thirsty to just be, without roles, masks, or fear. And then... when its aroma wrapped around me, I kissed the curve of the bottle’s neck. Softly. With my eyes closed. As if I were kissing someone I’ve been dreaming of for years... but who was never there. --- This scent is a kiss. A refuge. A stranger who knows me, who neither judges nor frightens, but simply affirms my existence. And in this life, that one quiet moment beside that bottle... feels like salvation.

I slid the bottle from its understated tester box, the name Seminalis etched on the bottom like a whisper both sacred and profane from a vintage typewriter. I have heard the rumors on how this scent wasn’t just perfume, but something bodily, something primal. The first spray was a surprise. Not sharp or citrusy, not clean or floral. Instead, a strange warmth unfurls into a milky, soft, and slightly sweet, like warm skin after sleep. There is a creaminess there, not like dessert but like closeness. Like the scent of another man after hours together. It doesn't bloom outward; it pulled inward, closer, more intimate. As the hours passed, the perfume doesn't fade as much as it settles into a linear scent. It becomes denser. The initial lactonic smoothness gives way to something more carnal, more magnetic. Musk rises like heat from skin, laced with something faintly salty and faintly dirty. It's not unpleasant. Not at all. It's the scent of living. The scent of being alive in the most physical sense with sweat, warmth, comfort, sex. Wearing Seminalis may not be about smelling good for me. I'll leave that to Terroni. For me it's about giving myself permission to be raw, and real, and elemental.

I wish everyone would get a chance not just to try Seminalis, but to spend some time with it. It's not fair to simply try it on a blotter in a shop. It's one you really need to live with a little while. The opening is delicious, cozy, but also quite dirty and milky. The name I would say actually represents it well—though obviously, it doesn't at all smell like actual semen. From the almost salty, condensed milk opening, it later evolves into a much more (sandal)wood forward scent. The sweetness dies down, the milk moves to the background and a somewhat rough wood emerges wrapped up in a bundle of dirty and highly erotic notes. It's not animalic, it's DIRTY. The whole fragrance takes a hard right turn. Years ago, when I first tried it, I loved the opening, but never bought it because of that transition. But this is what I mean, you really need to spend some time with it to experience the subtleties and that truly dirty/cozy/erotic transformation. It's a masterpiece IMO. Seminalis is my 2nd favorite fragrance of all time. It's so sexy. So cozy. So powerful. It's Gualtieri's most important work in my eyes. It fits into no genre and I wish we had more fragrances that do what Alessandro does.

I love Seminalis, so so much. To me, it captures the perfect milky, creamy fragrance. It smells like softness, innocence, and cleanliness, but not the sterile kind associated with laundry detergent or cleaning products. Instead, it evokes a kind of human cleanliness, something intimate, natural, and pure. Despite the branding and the assumptions people make based on its name, it very obviously smells nothing like that. Rather, it reminds me of rice pudding or horchata: gently sweet, never excessive. It’s the kind of dessert that carries just enough sweetness to qualify as one, balanced by an airy, fluffy creaminess that keeps it light and easy, never heavy or cloying. I could easily wear this every day, all year round, and never tire of it. It makes me feel pure, innocent, friendly, delicious, and quietly potent. Speaking of potency, while everything about this fragrance feels soft and comforting, it does have a notable depth. It isn’t a light fragrance in structure. It is dense, rich, and fully present in all its creamy facets. Yet, because it is so well balanced and restrained in sweetness, it creates the effect of making me feel lighter when I wear it.

For me, this is one of the most likeable scents in the Orto Parisi line, not as off putting as a Stercus or even Megamare. While it is definitely inspired by semen, as the name indicates, it is not supposed to replicate the smell of semen. Instead, Guaeltieri wanted to recreate the smell produced by the ovum during sexual intercourse. It is a scent that smells like white flowers and sandalwood, and that's definitely what I get from this perfume, as well as the lactonic notes described by everyone else. As with the rest of the Orto Parisi line, this is a perfume that you can only appreciate on the skin. I remember smelling this only on the test strip the first time I tried it, and it was much less complex and likeable than on the skin. Then of course, since every skin is different you might not like it on yourself, but I thoroughly disagree with the people saying this is a disgusting scent. I would even say that on the right person, this can be appreciated by someone who isn't interested in fragrances. Overall, this is a unisex likeable perfume that lasts an eternity (~5 days on my skin) and has really good projection. 10/10

I'll try and give my take on this one with the notes because nobody is bitting the cake. this fragrance is pure genius, you know what do i get smelling it ? Butter biscuits with milk. The notes i get on top are toffee and milk at the mid i found milk and honey and maybe some yellow smooth florals such as mimosa that gives this fragrance that cream like scent. I also get vanilla amber and sandalwood as a base for this fragrance. The longevity is something out of the world I get 12 plus hrs with mostrous longevity. now talking abot the controversial stuff, does it taste like sperm ? absolutely not, does it smell like sex ? maybe, but if you have in mind the sweat leave that out of this since it has nothing to do with that, it is smooth creamy sweet and it smell like butter. This fragrance is stunning i smells like hot warm milk with cinnamon and more woods and florals ( ylang and tuberose ) but so well blended it so hard to even describe it but it is so beautiful another way to describe it how the perfume company describes it which is when the sperm hits the egg which I do weirdly agree with it smells like the extraordinary thing that can happened on earth i with there was a clone or it was cheaper because I love this and it lasts all day you only need 1 to 2 sprays. First smelling it smells like airy gone off rum mixed with spices and milk and leather but them become a more refined leathery rum milky woody perfectly blended fragrance it also smells like a warm fire. It smells like nothing ever it is very unique this fragrance smell is a 9.5 longevity and silage 10 versatility 8.5 compliments 6.5 unique 10 overall it is 8.9/10 I would give it 9.5 but a lot of people don’t like it and it can be too strong in work of school or stuff but if you like perfume for an art this fragrance is a gift from god even though I am not Christian I still think that well done Orto Parisi.

I always hear people say this smells like a lover, like a hug, like a cup of mother’s love or whatever. This smells florall, like kinda sweaty its not as much in the beginning as it settles tho its very like. maybe like oatmilk. I think if the metaphor is going to be hugs and sweat and a lover, people need to get more carnal idk. This to me is like a good dryhump. Sexy fragrances have a metaphorical voyeurism. Like imagining a sexy lady and what she smells like. This smells like sex oh shut up. This is sex, but as the voyeurism stripped of it’s imaginative fantasy. A pair of lovers who are just nude bodies to an audience of passive onlookers. But in their intimate space are deeply in tune with eachother. Unconditional love and sexual freedom without the emotionally detached veneer of hedonism. Testing at a store I did not have any kind of negative reaction to it that I was borderline curious about potentially having. Rather, I was indeed charmed by this nutty, lactic, creamy scent. That's how it came across to me, with a good balance of something else to keep it from being one-dimensional. It wasn't necessarily unpleasantly acrid, or too metallic, but a distinct anise-like impression. I wore it well on my skin and found it inoffensive. It did last for quite a while, left after a proper shower as far as I can tell. This could even be a signature scent of mine if I could land a bottle for myself to have. Pleasant, soft and mild without being boring. If you're looking for something up to this description, Seminalis is your guy. You can find him in many places, all for the reasoning of 'why not'. This has definitely earned its place as one of my recent favourite things to smell and smell like.

Never in my years of perfume hunting, have I smelled anything like this. Seminalis features an accord that mimics the olfactive equivalent to savoring condensed milk, the feeling of salivating due to indulging in deliciousness, this is beyond genius. But the overall experience in the heart is about that mouthwatering accord dripping over creamy woods with subtle use of bitter almonds to contrast the olfactive picture and slightly offset the sweet photorealistic aroma, The composition is kissed in the base by vanilla and what I perceive as shadows of musk for slight animalic nuances to darken up the overall vibe, and noticeable use of patchouli crowning the previously mentioned accord, which in all honesty, is exquisitely done. This is my reading of Seminalis, a powerhouse of a scent , with an over abundance of sexiness and over 12 hours of longevity.

Orto Parisi doesn't share the notes of its fragrances, and you can see that in this thread as well. Those who haven't tried Seminalis can get a little confused, when trying to make their own image of the scent. So let's add my own view to the soup too: For me Seminalis corresponds to my idea of a very traditional almond scent. The same style as e.g. Cartier's Dragon, slightly soapy, very creamy, little bitter, sweet and milky, however, Seminalis is not as boozy amaretto, but rather a "saliva-like musk" (familiar from Bergamask) , especially in the opening. The drydown goes into a more almondy, more soapy, bittersweet, milky musk (and sandalwood) scent to me. I love this, even over the Dragon, what I've adored for decades now.

I was walking down the local mall and came across this store that sells niche perfumes. I did not know of this brand nor this perfume but the tester of this perfume was displayed at the front. I picked this one and sprayed on my wrist (not knowing anything about this scent, I basically blind tested it lol). My friend and I went along with our day and kept walking. I noticed the scent was VERY powerful and hypnotic in some ways. I haven't smelled anything like it, to the point that I came back to the store and asked what the perfume is. My point is, I loved the scent (absent from the name, and what other people's thoughts on it was). I wasn't influenced by the marketing either. I'm currently saving up for this one. Lol.

What other reviewers described as old people smell or hairspray, to me it smelled like pencil shavings, so i got that that was the smell people were describing, but thankfully it did disappear after few minutes. After that you get this amazing blend of creamy, raspberry, patchouli that is so well blended you dont know where one begins and the other ends. Longevity seems good, but projection is def not on par with other orto parisi perfumes, this is more intimate, def was done with intent. You have to get close and intimate to smell this, its not in your face bold, smell me from a mile away... this one is reserved for only the people who have earned to get close. Absolute masterpiece in perfumery.

Smells like a creamy musk with a bit of linen. I love it! 10/10 My best advice is to obviously get a sample, but ignore the title and meaning behind the smell and to take it as it is, don’t say “I’m wearing the cum cologne” think of it as a white bottle with no name and let your mind describe the scent to you. It’s only off putting if you consider what it’s trying to be. Appreciate it for how it is. It does not smell of bodily fluids. It smells like musky, creamy linen. Also the smell on the bottle is different compared to how it smells on skin. Give it a chance. I wear this to work all time and I get compliments. It’s similar (keyword similar) to Vintage Radio. Especially the “cream” aspect.

Serenity in a bottle. It’s a blend of milky notes mixed with sugar, sandalwood, a hint of strawberry and flowers. The smell of love. An ultra animal but beautiful smell. The smell of passion. It makes me think about a moment shared in bed with the one you love. Sex, passion, love. It may be scary for some but it’s a masterpiece. It feels like making love in white classy bedsheets. You have this deep connection with the one in front of you. It’s soft and perfectly satisfying. You then sleep in the arms of each other, with the smell of aftercare around you and in the room, with Nude by Radiohead playing in the back. A cosy and full of thrust moment. You hope it lasts forever, but it will not.

not spoken enough about. my personal signature and my absolute favorite from Orto Parisi. this scent is a super eatable. for me it smells like i just walked into the factory with freshly baked bread and a try a piece and take a sip of milk at the same time. with that description it is still super wearable and honestly could work at all the seasons. this scent doesnt have that signature musk that Gualtieri puts in the bottles which honestly why it makes it so wearable. great performance. lasts- 6-7 hours on my dry skin, which is impresive for the scent with that notes. big love and discovery for me. 9/10

I made a review of this one a while back, but I've recently aquired a decant of this, so I've had more time to understand this one. I still don't this this smells like spunk, but the best way to describe Seminalis is that it's the fragrant interpretation of seman, unlike a direct representation like Secreations Magnifque. It has this thick and creamy musky-like quality to it. I know that sounds weird but this is a hard scent to describe. Don't let the name throw you off, this is one of my favorite in the line, ranking #5 in my personal ranking, just after Brutus. One of my favorite cold weather scents.

This is a weird one and first perfume that i bought from Orto. I smelled this on some guy like 6m away and I was immediately hooked. He was in the room (market place) for a few minutes like no more than 10 minutes, and the place ricked like heaven for over 6 hours. Next day he came back and same story. I had to ask him what is he wearing. He told me it's this bad boy. That was more than 6 years ago. No need for notes, smells very clean, royal like. Very unique smell that lasts, lasts and laasts. My wife loves this type of smell on me. Very comforting, warm,cuddle like masterpiece.

This is a masterpiece Alessandro really made a perfect scent inspired by life & sex It was a present for my nameday and I can say for sure that this is maybe one of the best presents I have ever got. Hypnotic , Milky & Sensual patchouli Only the opening when I first sprayed got me a little of guard because it was my first niche fragrance & it gave me a little Kleenex Vibe But don't worry when the parfum dries out everything is perfect I get a lot of compliments from women every time I wear it , but I can see why a lot of people dislike this scent I personally love it 9.5/10 MD

First things first. Everyone did misunderstand the imaginarium behind this bottle. All the spermatozoa and semen stuff wasn’t directed in a sexualized vibe. Instead, what i strongly get is love, hearwarming, wholesome, love for your most ancient childhood, where the scent you did smell the most was your mother’s skin, neck, hairs. To me this is all the point of this bottle. Milk, almonds, cookies, boiled rice, some white flowers. I mean, how the f could it be anything else?

So yesterday I went to my local perfume shop and had in mind go buy an Orto parisi and I was testing them all out I really liked bergamask and I was certain to buy it. But then I tried out seminalis and at first I was like it’s smells like sweat, then I gave it some time and I was astonished of how perfect it is. You start to smell that creamy sandal wood and also some floral notes it’s mostly unisex but I’ll definitely wear it Overall I’ll give it a 9.8/10

i remember smelling seminalis at scentbar nyc. as i picked it up, i thought, "i shouldn’t like this." the story behind it honestly grossed me out. but as soon as i sprayed it, my perspective shifted. it was unexpectedly comforting—a light, creamy vanilla balanced with just enough of that unsettling musk, a bit like bergamask’s peculiar charm. it felt oddly intimate, like a scent that shouldn’t work but somehow does. a surprising 9/10.

I love this scent so much! Don't be afraid of its name. I love the "Lactone" in this particular fragrance. Seminalis doesn't have a metallic note like the actual semen. However, it reminds me of a dry crusty kleenex that has been left over for a few days. It is highly wearable. It can be used alone or layer with other fragrances. I luv to layer this with anything coffee, chocolate, amber or rose fragrances. ❤🔥

Smells like milk, someone’s breath as they just woke up from a very deep sleep, rotten flowers, vanilla, soap, warmed rubber, skin. It’s the most addictive thing I’ve ever smelled. And it lasts forever. I could still smell it on me after like 30 hours, after dancing my heart out in someone’s basement. It’s close to the skin, making it a true skin scent. Something only the ones very close to you will detect.

The lactonics they've gone wild! God, I love my creamy fragrances. This one is really buttery but not oily almost like the cream of soft flowers with almond flour and a rice like dessert. There's a touch of lust, and sometimes that touch jumps out screaming like a Goddess. I've encountered lovers who find certain notes in the Orto Parisi line too sharp to endure, but hey, that's their problem.

White sterile musk, CLEARWOOD and cashmeran. Love It. Abstract but also remebers of washed linen sheets. Also remebersr of coconut Pulp. Also desir di coeur elixir for the asma inducing smells. It Aldo have patchouli but it doesnt gives the dame vibe, but still very similar. Sil unknown Proj at least 3 m with 3 sprays. Long unknown Worth the Money. Not safe to blind buy

I got a smaller version of this from a website and I swear this stuff really sticks on you. I got it on my hands opening the bottle and, as someone who washes their hands a lot, it has stayed on me all day. The smell is addicting, kind of like when your hands smell weird yet you can't stop putting your fingers up to your nose to smell them??? Will be using this a lot

very creamy and it wears so lovely on my skin. the drydown lasts forever! i am left sniffing my wrist all day. i didn't go into it expecting repulsion and i received none :) smells like being kissed by someone wearing quite a pleasant perfume after a long day! i had to buy a sample. this will not be touching any of my clothes !! it belongs on the skin

So, despite what some people might say, this doesn't smell like spunk at all. Reading the reviews, I expected this to smell somewhat like semen, but it just doesn't. This, to me at least, is a creamy and buttery sort of vanilla fragrance. This kind of reminds me of those butter cookies in those tins that always had sewing supplies in them. Very solid.

At first I hated it. But now when I gave it a chances and wore it and used it. It was a masterpiece. The fragrance has grown on to me so hard that I would own one one day. It’s amazing and I love it. I can not explain how it smells like. I think it’s nutty with a milky warm type of smell. 12/10 and if u layer this w sadanaso ur gonna get addicted 😩

My first try at Orto Parisi and: This is a good gourmand that isn't too sweet. I avoid sweeter fragrances but the Tonka Bean is really good. I get Patchouli too. A lot of flowers with some fruit and candy on top. Then some woody note that reminds me of Sandalwood. Then Vanilla, Musk, Amber. Seminalis reminds me of Mugler Angel more than anything.

A beautiful woman's hands covered in hand cream, an almond paste flavored fruit roll up and a ufo lollipop (the powdery ones) rolling away. In my opinion a masterpiece not talked about enough from orto parisi. The mystery really adds to the experience. The drydown strangely smells very similar to TF Black orchid? Doesn't smell like semen.

creamy thick almond milk delicious humanly scent that has a human stench note at its heart for the first 4-5hrs then disappears, it smells like a loved one even the "humanic" stenchy note at its heart adds to its charm, such a gorgeous unique humanly perfume, worth the blind buy imo such a fantastic perfumery and piece of art

Seminalis by Orto Parisi – 7/10 This one smells very soft, clean, and kind of magical. I get notes of milk, musk, and some floral vibe, probably lily of the valley. It leans slightly feminine to me (I prefer unisex perfumes) but I still enjoy it. It doesn’t last as long as others from the brand, but still performs fine.

This is one of the best fragrances ive ever put my nose on, holy shit. This smells like freshly baked almond cookies along with creamy milk and etheral musk. Its a fantastic gourmand, but it isnt too sweet. This actually smells heavenly, amazing for winter. Im definetly getting a bottle, well done alessandro👏

Seminalis layers very well with Cuoium, Brutus, and Terroni. The creaminess of Seminalis magically sweetens them. I often wear Seminalis+Cuoium in the evening. Seminalis also adds creaminess to the citrusy Brutus and red-fruit Terroni. Alessandro Gaultieri's creations are always interesting :)

Please everyone write to The Fragrantica editors ( [email protected] ) and tell them to put back the notes and accords!! It makes absolutely no sense why they were removed a few months ago. The fragrance community relies on this site as an official reference source.

don't let the marketing and the name scare you, this is a pretty interesting mix of milky sweet cozy floral and musky but not gourmand type of scent, the longevity is pretty good the sillage is a bit closer to skin then any other orto parisi
