Orange Flower

Light Orange-Flower with Smokey Near-Cinnamon Crackles... Overall an orange-flower scent, with all the other notes working to build the orange-flower, but opens with a burst of neroli backed up by mandarin & bergamot. The opening neroli here is slightly sharp & leans crackling, dark & smoky in a way that makes it work for evenings as well, with clean, smoky, citrus, green & fresh facets. Something that might be worn by Amy Adams in Nocturnal Animals (2016), or late at night in the slightly smoky lounge of a tropical resort. The neroli lingers while the opening segues into a heart of orange-blossom complemented by jasmine & lily-of-the-valley accents rounding it out, with fluffy, white-floral, citrus, fresh & green facets. The overall orange-flower here is a fresher take with a smoky finish, rather than a dense, clean & creamy one, although there is some sweetness. This all rests on a floral support base of white-woods, musk & white-amber. Performance is light-moderate overall and I have no complaints for summer wear (I don't think this has strong enough performance for colder months). I can't stop smelling my wrist. It's a love for me. Enjoy! Update 09/08/24: layered this over Cinnabar Estée Lauder (2015) this morning, and the spicy/smoky oranges go well together. Still a love. Update 05/10/25: There's just something about this scent that keeps bringing me back. It's the spicy smokiness that's nearly a cinnamon mingled with neroli to accent the orange-blossom. This is a lighter scent, and although it's gotten a little stronger, I think it will remain a fairly light summer scent. I get arms length projection for 1-2 hours after which it becomes a skin scent for another 1-2 hours. Love it.

Orange flower is one one my favorite notes and I own several Orange blossom perfumes. My signature scent is Narcisse Noir,if someone who loves perfume, like I do, can have a signature scent. In other words I love orange flower, blossom, neroli, or orange. So I had to have this. It is pretty much straight orange flower with just a hint of other florals underneath. Maybe jasmine or Lotv. I do not smell any amber or woods. It is so pretty and refreshing. Great for hot summer days! It does have pretty good silage, but does not last very long. It is not very expensive however and it is light enough to spray as much as I want. Sweet, simple, and oh so pretty!

This is a fresh sparkling citrus scent on me. It's very uplifting and to my nose it is reminiscent of Lancôme's O de Lancome on opening. As it dries down it becomes a little soapy but then the orange blossom and Jasmine comes in and finishes it off beautifully. Overall it is an effervescent, revitalizing fragrance. It's beautiful and I think it will really bloom in warmer temps. Highly recommend if you enjoy fresh white florals.

I have the Rose and the Orange Flower. I bought both blind. The Orange Flower has a Mediterranean feel of oranges to it. That freshness and vibes that I associate with neroli colognes such as in the Acqua di Parma ones or Tom Ford's Neroli. Please, it is not the same quality of course. BUT VERY similar to the dry down of Guerlain's Eau de Guerlain (I own) Not sticky sweet at all, not heavy. It is not an orange popsicle. It does not have an aquatic nose to it. I have the Coty L'Origan and it does not smell like it to my nose or my arms, at the time of spray or as it wears (L'Origan is powdery). This is in a beautiful bottle with the ODLR typical top flower designs and I am happy to have it. Wear it in the Spring or Summer, warm holidays. Let's all say AHHH! PS.Now I am curious to buy the Jasmine (green color) bottle! I am still taking in the aroma and playing with my thoughts on the Rose
