Top notes: Rosemary Tunisian oil, Coriander seed, Cardamon Ceylon, Pink pepper Heart notes: Blackcurrant Bud absolute, Orange Flower abs., Rose essential, Rose Isparta oil Base notes: Patchouli oil, Labdanum resinoid, Cashmeran My first impression : hm, very light oriental, creamy rose. It is a spicy rose. If you know Jo Malone: Mimosa & Cardamon, you will get the idea of this Cardamon. Although it is milder and calmer here. If I didn't know the notes here, I would say I feel Cardamon, yes, and then Cloves, Pimento, maybe Saffron?, Carnation, Sweet Williams, Roses (more roses, one of it definitely the Damascus Rose), Orange, then light sweet woods - like Cedar. The tastes namely : very sweet, a bit of sour and later a bit of a bitter, somewhere in the background. The feelings: more feminine leaning, elegant, sexi, sophisticated with a surprising twist of not being a boring reserved lady, but a lady with wits 😊. The scent is made of high quality ingredients, you can smell it instantly. And it is brilliantly blended. Truly, the blending is so delicate, 10/10🥇🏆. Overall, it is a very pleasant, not offending, safe blind buy fragrance. I am personally not "obsessed" with it, but I like it strongly - 9/10. Mainly for the original concept and the qualitative execution. And I feel that a woman wearing this perfume is very feminine, elegant, strong willed, knows what she wants - I can easily imagine it on Duchess Kate 👸 I didn't smell perfume like this. And that's why I am going to buy it 😁😍

It’s a spicy, yet jammy sweet rose, very elegant, delicate, creamy and brilliantly blended with high quality ingredients. It has nothing to do with a “grandma” rose everybody talks about when it comes to a rose based perfume. Impression Rose Oil Isparta is modern, playful, suitable for all ages and totally unisex leaning just a tiny bit feminine (to my nose, but there’s no gender in perfumery as an art). The patchouli here is almost imperceptible, just enough to give it certain greenness, which together with the spices makes the perfume so versatile and unisex. Not to forget the ripe, sweet blackcurrant... I find it smooth, pleasant and calming, and can’t imagine anyone not liking it. It’s an absolute yes for rose lovers, and perfect for those who dislike rose (like myself), because despite smelling like rose, is a unique twist on it. Before spraying the perfume, I applied the preparation oil on my pulse points (smells exactly like soft, pure, fresh rose petals) the perfect base for a richer, longer-lasting fragrance experience. The combination gives you an incredible feeling of delicate sophistication.

This perfume is absolutely exquisite! And I don’t say that often. One of the best roses I’ve smelled in ages. Pristine elegance in a bottle. Sweet, playful with a big dose of orange blossom to boot. A gentle ambery background without being overtly oriental. The materials feel tangible and I just feel like I’m wearing something special when I spray this. Ostens are making such wonderful perfumes and this is my favourite from the line. There’s a springtime Jammyness to the rose and the sweetness doesn’t feel forced. There’s also a pollen like spark nestled in there. Absolute perfection for rose lovers!

This smells like a big bold red spicy accord comprised of jammy tart rose, immortelle with its curry inflections, camphorous patchouli and incense rendered dry and seasoned with a bit of salt. The final effect is somewhat potpourri-ish and also reminds me of dried plum tablets I used to eat as a kid (see second image). There’s a curious ‘singed’ effect which I find interesting permeating the fragrance lending it a ‘radiant feel’. Alot of fragrances used synthetic woody ambers to achieve that level of radiance but here it smells ‘natural’ for a lack of a better word. The scent reminds me of Menditorossa’s Le Mat minus the cashmeren ‘air-con fluid’ effect. The one downside is I did find it a bit linear and one trick pony-ish but hey this type of linear is fine with me (especially when you like it). Its quite steep at 250 CAD per 50ml (I wouldn’t be surprised if the final price came to 300++ after shipping and duties). I like it alot but there’s alot of good roses under/ around this price point so competition is pretty high. I mean I think its true, there’s alot of bloody good roses out there. So lets see...I might succumb if I hit the jackpot. I would certainly keep an eye out for a second bottle for less if I see one.

Smell just like small vials of pure bulgarian rose oil I remember my granny had around the house in 70’s. I havent smelt this kind of rose ever since. To my nose, it’s a red rose, spicy and aromatic, with velvety base, yet fresh, very unusual

A prior reviewer lists the notes from the packaging, which is critical to deciding if this is for you. Every note is here, but not balancing with my chemistry. I love jammy, spicy rose scents as well as blackcurrent and orange (heart) plus patchouli and cashmeran (base), but am not a fan of this because of the coriander/cardamon mix in the top notes, which isn't emphasised in the listing above. On me, those two own the show and won't step back to let anything else play. It's been 20 minutes and it's still just a coriander cardamon perfume with some light rose underneath. Also amazingly weak on me. At least seven (!!!) sprays from my sample and it's barely there. Reading it again I see rosemary in the top notes, which I'm not picking out. I have rosemary in my garden, so if it was strong I would definitely notice it. The pepper is there, which can work well with rose, but here it just adds to the spice profile I'm not enjoying. Hard pass. I ordered the sample set directly from Ostens, so no concerns about freshness or authenticity. This is my first try from the set, so maybe one of the others will speak to me. This is certainly genderless and would work on someone who likes this particular spice mix. Edit: As it settles down the rose is coming forward, but I can't get past the top notes to consider adding this to my collection. Still not very strong. Oh well. Glad I didn't blind buy a FB.

Just got my sample of this and, sadly, it's a big no for me. The description on the website and the interview with the perfume director on Persolaise's YouTube channel gave the deliberate promise that this is an especially natural presentation of Isparta rose absolute. The truth is, however, that no rose smells like this perfume. To me, there's an added heavy dose of a medicinal tone akin to anise or fennel on top of rose, and a powdery tone to completely kill it off. It's just unwearable and even unbearable to me. Another promise of rose ends up being another lie. To me, nothing yet tops Mrs. Meyer's Rose cleaning products. No other product came closer to a photorealistic rose, not even the tens of niche rose perfumes I've tried.

The rose is potent and it’s quite strong.
