Dean Street

A year and a half or so ago I was smelling some of my friend's perfumes she had on her tray on her vanity. This was the one that stuck out to me. She had way more expensive and complex perfumes on there at the time. Having tried, loved and owned many expensive and complex fragrances this was different. I got it, used it here and there and over the course of a couple of months I noticed whenever I didn't want to decide or think about what to wear to work, or for a date or for meeting up with a friend. I gravitated towards this scent. It has that clean fresh smell but with the lasting power of a perfume. I think that's where a lot of confusion comes in with a lot of people that don't like this. It's an airy type of scent that isn't supposed to be too complex and in your face, yet has the lasting power of a stronger eau de parfum. On skin it lasts a good 6-7 hours. However, on clothing this can last into the next day. This is definitely a Unisex scent (have gotten compliments as a male). Especially in the dry-down. I have worn this in the winter as that fresh out of the shower all day freshness type scent. Which in the colder months is a breath of fresh air but not too fresh, I think this is where the fact that it's an Eau de Parfum really helps it perform well in colder weather as well. If you're looking for a fresh clean and sophisticated effortless scent that isn't too complex, crowd pleaser and super easy to reach for. This is great. The notes aren't as relevant in this for me, give it a try and don't think too much about it. Think more in scent-profile (fresh all day fresh in a sophisticated crowd pleaser way) for none complex fragrances like this that just work!

This has been on my Wishlist ever since its release and I finally added it to my collection. It's so much better than I remember too. I get a sweet soft citrus, more linden blossom forward with a beautiful fresh rose. It dries down more musky citrus rose on my skin and lasts about 4 hours or so. It's not a beast mode projection, more intimate lingering trail. This fragrance is a beautiful blend of sugary citrus rose musk. I don’t get any distinct apricot or amber, and very little magnolia, which I’m actually grateful for. Apricot tends to smell very dry woody to me and Amber usually makes it more heavy to my nose. Since I don’t get any of that in this fragrance I’m delighted at how soft and sweet this is. I can imagine a spring mid morning tea party in a flower garden with pretty floral and pastels

i looove this, though it turned out to be quite different from what i imagined. it was advertised as a fresh citrusy scent but it actually smells more like a sweet ripe apricot. it was my go-to post-shower scent last summer and i find it absolutely perfect for that. while not the most citrusy, there's a clean soapy quality to it. it reminds me of being at a luxurious spa where you can get a glimpse of the sunset through a window. truly a gorgeous fragrance for the warmer months. highly recommend. great value too!

I accidentally ordered the wrong body wash one day on OUAI's site and ended up with Dean Street instead of Melrose Place, and OH MY GOD! The most pleasant mistake ever! This is now my 100% go to for everyday. Scent is reminds me of the Away spa at the W hotel. I use bodywash, perfume, and the lotion. Its so fresh and clean, top note citrus with magnolia then a dry down of amber. End of the day you can still smell it, perfect for summer. Im still going to wear this year round regardless!

I love this scent. I have the hand wash and when I smelled it at the store I wasn’t impressed but now I am addicted to washing my hands with this scent. It smells impossibly fresh and light with subtle complexity. I will be buying the perfume.

I love this one I’ve just bought my second bottle. It’s got great longevity and silage and it’s so summery fresh and sweet at the same time. The citrus smells like bergamot to me and it just reminds me of a warm summers evening. Love it 👍

This is clean but sweet at the same time. It’s fresh and citrusy but also warm and sweet. I get bergamot and amber in this scent. It’s quite addictive but sometimes a tad sickly.

Fresh, light, clean, citrusy, with a hint of floral and touch of warmth. I love this scent. It is my go-to.

i can safely say i’ve never owned / smelled another fragrance like Dean Street. i like it but it’s not my favourite and i probably won’t repurchase, but my boyfriend always compliments me when i wear it lol. to me it smells clean and citrusy with floral undertones, thankfully nothing like Soho’s Dean Street irl because that would be a fairly grim scent. i like it more the more often i wear it and often pick it for an evening out, but it’s definitely not for everyone and probably more suited to day wear.

This is a clean, fruity and fresh out of the shower perfume. I get quite a lot of the apricot and the mandarin. It’s a sweet and refreshing fragrance and it makes me feel clean and elegant, although it barely lasts. It probably lasts 3 hours at most and even before it completely fades away it is quite subtle. I wear it after the shower and it makes me feel extra fresh, so the lasting power doesn’t bother me too much. It makes a good fragrance for those who prefer subtle, clean and refreshing scents.

An excellent affordable clean fragrance. This conjures up images of fresh linen and newly washed hair but has a muskiness about it. I reach for this for work on hot days as the longevity isn’t amazing. If you like Mojave ghost or Blanche from Byredo, you may like this

Barry’s gym uses the products with this smell. And as much as I adore the body wash and body cream the perfume itself doesn’t appeal to me. The brand may need to improve the base components even it means to increase the price.

I found this a very crisp citrus scent. Would be lovely for daytime but the longevity isn’t there for me. It’s also very faint.

Dean Street is like a little sister to Montblanc Signature. It's more fresh, softer and a bit less creamy.

This smells like a shampoo from a fancy hotel. I get the apricot but I wish it was sweeter. It’s not loud in any way but it almost comes across bitter. This would definitely be a fragrance that would work if I was the type of person to spray perfume directly out of the shower to continue that clean feeling but it’s not for me.

I finally found a tester to purchase on eBay. I am so glad I did not blind by this because, the opening is like kitchen cleaner esq. A green kind of citrus. Quite sharp/tart/sour ish to start with. It reminds me of D&G Anthology L'Imperatrice 3. But made cheaply, the deep dry down is the best part for me.

Got a little free sample of this. It’s an alright perfume, but alike some other reviews, this to me smells a bit like a fancy toilet spray. It’s probably because I’m not a huge fan of overpowering florals, especially rose. The musk gets a bit lost in there. Not bad, just not for me.

This is a nice fruity perfume, although it is very fragrant and reminds me exactly of For Love and Plums from bath and body works. Because I can get it in a body creme/lotion and it smells like a lotion, I don't want it as a perfume. Smells cute though!

I was on the hunt for my perfect clean scent and loved this at first. A beautiful, bright, sparkling floral-fruity fragrance- that's until I started to pick up on coriander. That ruined it for me, otherwise this is a stunning fragrance.

A round, fruity scent that mostly smells like apricot to me. I feel a bit of waxiness to it as well. It's not bad, it's a perfectly pleasant fruity scent although not really my thing.
