Iconique 001 Intense

Iconique 001 Intense is from 2023 and arrived as the first flanker of Iconique 001, launched in 2021. Once again, Nathalie Lorson takes the creative lead, consolidating her name in the brand and reaffirming her talent, which has already shone in creations for Azzaro, Lalique, and Parfums de Marly, among other brands. With this flanker, the perfumer deepens the concept of the Parisian man: charismatic, sophisticated, and intensely authentic. The storytelling here does not lose the charm that defines the original line. The Iconique Intense man continues to be framed by the Parisian scenery and exudes a mysterious and captivating aura, perfect for sophisticated nights in the City of Lights. The fragrance of Iconique 001 Intense is classified as oriental-woody and features ginger, cardamom, and yuzu as top notes; Lavender Diva, coffee, and brown sugar in the heart; and tonka beans, patchouli, sandalwood, and cedar in the base. Compared to the original version, practically nothing has changed! The bottle follows the brand's minimalist philosophy, betting on the classic to please the male audience. With a sober and elegant design, the amber-toned fragrance perfectly reflects the intense sensuality that the fragrance evokes. In practice, Iconique 001 Intense stands out for its denser evolution. On the skin, the opening became less sweet, and the central part brought more presence of coffee, which pleased me a lot. There is a warm and slightly gourmand effect, which gives a feeling of comfort, inviting a hug. In the dry down, the tonka bean is not as dominant as before, as the patchouli decided to show its chocolatey facets and the cedar brought a woody reinforcement to the sandalwood, resulting in less sweetness, with the same creaminess and a drier and woodier effect, just like Brazilian men love. The performance remains very good and is intended for colder days or milder nights so you can expect a durability of more than eight hours. For me, an excellent flanker, which respects the DNA of its predecessor and amplifies the intensity, as the name suggests. Who said that something already good can't get better?
