L’Expérience 706

L'Expérience 706 is from 2021 and is part of the fragrances aimed at the male audience. The creative concept revolves around International Kissing Day, which in some countries is celebrated on July 6th, while in others the date is celebrated on April 13th. And although the French standard for dates is like ours, in Brazil (day/month/year), historically the date began to be celebrated in the UK and, for that reason, it changes to month/day/year, that is, 07/06. Hence, that number next to the name. The perfumer was inspired by the man who is curious by nature, always looking for new discoveries and experiences. And for this individual, the intention was to create a fougère – as it is a traditional style in the universe of men's fragrances – with a woody evolution. For this, she combined notes of bergamot, ginger, and grapefruit, over a body of sage, violet leaf, and thyme, which rests on a woody base of moss, patchouli, vetiver, and sandalwood. But Nathalie revealed, in conversation with Pierre Aulas, that she also made use of cardamom seeds from Guatemala and geranium leaves, although they were not listed. On the skin, L'Experience 706 is a little messier than I expected. The opening is citrusy, but too sweet, revealing a fougère-oriental fragrance for young partygoers. This time, it seems that instead of the common sage, she worked with clary sage, which is more balsamic and ambery. And together with the thyme, with an earthy taste and minty aroma, the result did not please me immediately and this would not be a fragrance that I would buy based on a blotter, like those that are delivered at the door of some stores during promotional or launching actions. However, as the right thing is to try on the skin and wait a while until the magic is revealed, with L'Experience 706 it was no different and the evolution ended up showing a sober side and a smoky drying, which improves with time and becomes woodier and drier, without the sweetness of before. I like this stage better when I feel the patchouli and moss notes more and I notice that the sandalwood doesn't subdue the vetiver, trying to dominate everything with its typical creaminess. On my skin, L'Experience 706 tends to lose projection, but it stays for a long time. Even so, among all the masculine fragrances already launched by the brand, it's the one I like the least. It seems indecisive, as in the middle of a bridge that sways a lot and is not safe, without the aromatic versatility of Hôtel de Ville 193 or the elegant creaminess of Iconique 001.

My Brazillian Review The fragrance is very close to AVON SEGNO (wich is cheapier, creamier, outperformand, and, overall, better). It's not a bad scent, at all. It's like Versace pour Homme VS Allure Homme Sport. (dependant of occasion and mood) Seasons: Spring, Fall and Summer (nights). Performance: solid (6-8 hours) Projection: personal bubble (soft to moderate) Ocasions: Signature, office, casual. As for the brazillian market? A pass. Safe blind buy. But i recommend going for Avon's first. IMHO
