Island Milk

Island Milk opens very cinnamon-forward on my skin, almost holiday-spiced, and at first, the spice felt a little strong for my taste, even though I could still smell the cashew and brown sugar underneath. Once it settles, though, it becomes much softer and creamier. The dry down is warm, milky, and comforting, like condensed milk with brown sugar and soft shortbread cookies. It actually reminds me a lot of Jamaican cocoa tea... that cozy mix of creamy milk, gentle spice, and subtle sweetness that feels comforting and nostalgic. My husband said it smells like iced oatmeal cookies or gingerbread, and even joked that it smells like what you’d expect a Keebler elf’s house to smell like — sweet, warm, and cozy. I’d definitely call this a “date night cozy” or “couch and blanket cozy” scent. It wears close to the skin and feels intimate rather than loud or sugary.

This is truly one of the best fragrances I’ve ever purchased let alone blind bought. It lasts incredibly long and is worth the money. It’s very creamy and lactonic, smells exactly like Caribbean milk drinks like kremas or coquito (Caribbean egg nog). The sweetness is balanced out really well with the cinnamon spicy scents. You literally smell like you’ve been simmering in milky spice sweetness all day. And if I were to compare it to another scent like it; it’s like Nearly Noon but higher quality and more lasting power. Definitely is a signature of mine and I will be repurchasing.

I wanted to love this. I was so excited for it. But for me it isn’t a creamy gourmand. It’s not creamy or milky on my skin, it’s mainly peppery and woody. There’s a subtle sweetness. It’s not bad, but not at all what I was hoping for so I’m glad I only have a small travel spray size. The longevity on it however is great. If you like this scent profile this lasted easily 8+ hours on my skin.
