Rose

on my hunt for the perfect photorealistic rose water scent, I feel like this one comes very close. The only thing is it leans a bit fresh and clean, and almost soapy the longer it's on you, which isn't my fav, And also doesn't last very long at all. So not perfect, but considering the price point, if you're a rose person this might be worth it anyway!

I layered this today on top of Florabotanica and it mixed so nicely! Since this rose is already a bit vegetal, it fit in with the green pervasiveness of Florabotanica. I highly recommend this layering combo.

Initially, I enjoyed wearing this but after a while it just became very cloying. On first spray the rose scent is very creamy and wonderful, feels like being a fairy & wrapping yourself in a rose petal! But as it settles, it begins to have a back of the nose scent that just clings. The aldehydes turn less fresh, more synthetic. Overall, if you enjoy aldehydes and fresh rose this is perfect for you! Just not my cup of tea.

There's a very familiar green scent in this that I can't put my finger on. Almost like celery or something. Someone compared it to Tea Rose, and I actually like that one much better. This one smells like something not-rose to me, something vegetal.

Smells like straight up rose water which is a nice scent, however, it turns very quickly metallic smelling on my skin with only just a hint of rose. It could very well be my skin's chemistry but this isn't really impressive to me.

This was gifted to me many years ago, and it’s definitely for someone who loves intensely strong and literal floral. It makes sense though seeing that those are the only notes in it.

FRAGRANCE REVIEW FOR ROSE BY OUTREMER Notes: Rose & Floral Notes I love the Outremer indie label and have been enjoying many of their fragrances. They wear kind of like the Demeter Fragrances but better. They last a little longer and have the same kind of pick me up feel good quality. They are simple familiar scents: roses, vanilla, citrus, etc. This is a realistic rose perfume but very linear. I don't pick up on other floral notes. It smells like it's probably mainly rose with a touch of jasmine. It's pretty flat smelling since it has no base notes to support it. It's fresh and sweet but not in a perfumy or powdery way. It's more like rose oil or rosewater to scent your bath with. Even as such the classic Evelyn & Crabtree Rosewater is better. This one is a bit too weak in comparison. It's a simple soft rose scent to wear when you want to smell of a soliflore, nothing complex. It's perfect to put on after a shower and to wear for a couple of hours. Smells really good but like others have pointed out there are superior rose fragrances. Tea Rose by the Perfumer's Workshop is actually better than this. At least that one has an incredible lasting power.

This is a pleasant rose scent, clear, fresh, and simple. If you're looking for something that is simply rose, then this is for you. If you want something more complex (especially if you want any base notes, because there are zero), keep shopping. Sillage and longevity are not strong. I would prefer more longevity, but I think for a simple natural rose scent that's likely not possible. In some ways it's less like a perfume, and more just a simple one-note scent, the same thing you'd get in a nice quality rose soap, lotion or other body product.

Metallic, clean rose with patchouli. Edgy girl rose scent. I like this take on Rose perfume. Quality ingredients, you smell good to the end. It has harshness at first, but it's the good type. Only thing is 3 hours and it's barely detectable. This is a great choice when you're not sure what to wear, and you like Roses and florals, like I do:)

This honestly smells like the rose water I use as skin toner. Not particularly complex, but a very light and dewy rose petal scent. Longevity is not very good and projection is minimal. Its sort of a pick-me-up scent, fleeting but enjoyable. Save your money for a rose perfume with more oomph.

This reminds me of a higher quality version of tea rose--oh the scent--so perfect-like a bouquet--honey for the skin; nectar for the body--a pure rose;not a fake watered down rose and not overpowering either...

The scent of an heirloom rose, lovely, simple and refreshing, the kind of quiet fragrance you can keep on your desk. The French art nouveau label lends further romance to the moment.
