Silver Moon

This would be THEEEE PERFECT VANILLA with a hint of almonds... IF it had better longevity and projection! This scent is divine and really an almost perfect vanilla blend. Really, the scent is great! The scent has a decent scent bubble and projects more for maybe an hour. After the initial hour, it actually lasts a very long time, but it becomes more intimate and a skin scent. I spray all over my clothes and it seems to cling to clothes better than skin. If Pacifica could reformulate this to keep the exact same scent, but make it to where it would project even 3 or 4 hours and project even to my elbows, I would pay $150 for this, maybe even $200! So, I'm still (forever) on the search for my favorite vanilla! 🤣 (((((⤵️ Side note about a different Pacifica vanilla: I also have Island Vanilla by Pacifica. Even though they're different types of vanilla, I'm very disappointed in the blast of alcohol I smell when I spray Island Vanilla and the alcohol smell stays for a whole minute or 2. When the alcohol scent finally goes away, it's an extremely faint skin scent immediately and I have to press my nose to my skin to smell a faint vanilla. If you're on the fence about which vanilla to try from Pacifica, I definitely reccomend Silver Moon instead of Island Vanilla! The hair & body mist of Island Vanilla actually lasts longer (not by much) and smells better than the Eau de Parfum.)))))

This one really grew on me and is currently one of my favorites. The reason why is I don't care for almond notes typically because they always turn sour on my skin, as this did. But I spray this on my clothes and it lasts for absolute ever and stays creamy and sweet. This is a delicious vanilla with the almond being more prominent at the begining. There's a small hint of spice in the background but its mostly vanilla. Its a sweeter vanilla without being super sweet, which I don't mind but know some people don't. This and Dream Moom are outstanding examples or a natural perfume made with essential oils while still smelling like a much a more expensive more conventional perfume. The other ones in the moon line give me body spray vibes but this and DM are outstanding and I wear them as much if not more than my $100 ellis brooklyn scents. Silver moon as reminds me of Dulce by Rosie Jane. They're not dupes because of the almond note but the vanilla base is very similar. This last longest on clothes but I do find myself reapplying a 2nd time during my day. Thats normal though with natural perfumes because they do not contain some very toxic components that make traditional perfumes last. I can smell this on clothes days later though. Overall for the price this is a 10/10.

This was a blind purchase, based on reviews saying it has similarities to Dior HP. Dior HP is probably my all time fav scent that I have been searching for something similar but not exact match to for years. I am very happy with this frag! It is not a dupe for HP, however it has a very similar feel to me. The gourmand and non-floral coziness and snuggliness of HP does exist in Silver moon, and that makes me so happy! I keep spraying and sniffing myself and smiling, which is rare for me. Usually I feel sort of let down and left wanting with most new frags I try. Silver Moon is like HP at its heart, but less complex, more linear. It has stronger vanilla and heliotrope / clean laundry notes than HP. But the overall vibe is very close. I do wish Silver moon had slightly more almond bitterness to offset the sweet vanilla. overall I am really loving Silver Moon. I don't really like the name and packaging and lack of a lid but that is something I can overlook because of the affordability and similarity to my fav Dior HP. I don't know why it is listed as unisex, for me this is very femme. If you like vanilla and Dior HP you will probably like Silver Moon. for what its worth my daughter said it smells like sunscreen, which I don't really relate to.

I previously had Dior Hypnotic Poison and I loved it but soon the play dough note became too much for me to use it on a regular basis. When I saw some reviews of Silver Moon I decided to sample it and I was super surprised! The almond vanilla scent was very spot on to Dior Hypnotic minus the play dough smell. It smells like a powdery almond, vanilla, and slightly spiced just as described. I very soon got the full bottle! I was taken aback because it doesn’t include a cap for the spray so just be warned it can spray out easily in transit. Also it doesn't have a lot of depth to it and doesn’t last for too long, maybe 3 hours or so on me, but for the price it is a really lovely scent that I feel I can use everyday without being tired of it! It is just a pleasant everyday smell that is a wonderful price and from a great brand! And they have a hair mist too! ☺️

Smell is so subjective and that’s why you have to test it out for yourself. When I read the reviews on here, I just knew I wasn’t going to buy this. But I went to target and tested it out and wow!!! This smells beautiful. The almond and spices are so pronounced and smooth. If a niche house made this juice I guarantee everyone would swoon over this. This doesn’t smell like Hypnotic Poison to me. HP smells like black licorice and vanilla in the opening and play dough in the dry down. This doesn’t smell like licorice or play dough! Oh, and longevity was surprisingly really good. It lasted on my wrists for 8 hours and I washed my hands multiple times. It projects very well and lasts on me all day. My only issues is that it’s expensive considering you’re paying $25 for 1oz & Pacifica’s perfumes don’t come with tops (I’m being picky but it’s my preference).

This was an interesting buy for me. I sampled it at Target and initially thought it not special and redundant. But by the time I got home from running my errands, I caught a whiff of something sexy, ephemeral and feminal. It took me a few seconds but then I realized it was this fragrance! Immediately, I went back to Target and purchased this. I can see how people could be tempted to make the comparison to HP but to me this frag stands out on its own. The almond does something magical to the vanilla... it makes it brighter, cotton-soft yet complex. I've received many compliments and it hasn't even been a full 24 hours since I've purchased. Both the sillage and longevity are surprisingly impressive for the price.

this was a surprising like for me! first off, i absolutely get the comparisons to hypnotic poison. i don’t own HP but i’ve smelled it several times and while i do like it, something about that perfume kind of turns my stomach. silver moon basically smells like HP to me but without whatever note turns my stomach; it’s a soft nutty vanilla that deepens the longer it sits on my skin. i can’t speak too much to the longevity, but one spray lasted 3-4 hours after i left target so you may want to layer it with a scented lotion to get it to stick around longer. overall, i actually really enjoyed this and will buy the full bottle for this fall&winter season.

Okay, I love this scent. Probably my favourite almond. It's what I was expecting Mix:Bar Whipped Almond to smell like. It is a perfect powdery almond vanilla scent, no floral or cherry or whatever is typically added to almond scents. A beautiful winter gourmand. I will say, though, that it performs a bit like a body spray. You will need between 6 and 8 sprays all over your body to smell this for longer than 30 minutes and not have to smell your wrist constantly. But it's cheap at Target and Pacifica is a great vegan/clean brand so why not??

This is such a lovely scent for the price point. It's very warm and cozy, with a creamy vanilla tucked behind a sprinkle of spice and sweet almonds. The longevity is also decent compared to other Pacifica fragrances, and after several hours of wear, it fades down to a warm vanilla skin scent. Although this is definitely a warm, sweet fragrance, it has a level of sophistication and maturity to it that appeals to a wide variety of ages. This would be a great scent for a date night, or just a cozy fall or winter evening at home.

My new nighttime fragrance. Warm, nutty, vanillary. There is something in this that reminds me just a tiny bit of Lancome La nuit tresor a la Folie, but it is not as romantic, more on the cozy side. I love the beautifully blue bottle but I don’t understand the lidlessness. It makes this non-travel-friendly (although I get the nature preserving factor, but still...) Big plus for being free of some nasty stuff and for being cruelty free and vegan.

Top Notes: White Flower, Vanilla Liquor, Lily Middle Notes: Almond, Tonka, Sandalwood (Santal), Cardamom Base Notes: Vanilla Bean, Musk, Amber I absolutely love this scent. I am big into almond scented perfumes, and this is a good one. Only thing I wish was that it lasts a little bit longer than three hours on my skin and that it project a little bit more but again I’m an over overspray here so I mean I could work around it but it’s beautiful.

This is so cozy and warm, a wonderful spiced vanilla that doesn't smell edible to me at all, but rather just comforting. It really sings on my skin, and every time I catch a waft of it I smile. I immediately went and got the lotion and hair mist to match. I love this scent, and if you want something a bit sweet but mostly comfy and soft this is a great one to try. It's fluffy, not like a cloud but like a fleece blanket.

I love this fragrance! Like others have said it smells like a mix between warm vanilla sugar and hypnotic poison! I put this on my arm at 5:30 it's now 10:30 and I can still smell it as a skin scent. I think overspraying and adding the hair and body mist along with it will help for a larger scent bubble. This will be something I wear often this fall and winter! I am excited to explore the rest of the moon moods line.

my most repurchased fragrance, such great value for money. layers well with almost every other perfume in my collection. honestly, i get what people say about the play doh note. when i first sprayed this on myself in-store that’s exactly what i thought, but then for the rest of the day I couldn’t stop smelling it. it warms up in such a cozy, sweet, spicy way.

It's so obviously a blend of almond and vanilla but the additional spice notes give it an extra kick. But I was kinda into it! It didn't dry down in any weird way, and the blend held together pretty well without anything being super overpowering. I don't know what occasion or vibe I'd use this scent for, but it was enjoyable!

I have the original in the square bottle, which you can still find on ebay. This is my favorite affordable vanilla, and I've tried basically everything around $20-30. It smells like vanilla/ almond shortbread cookies and a touch of spice. It's not complex but it's very pleasant, and I'm really happy with it.

I’m 100% in love. I wear it day and night. I just bought several bottles because I need this forever. Please never stop making this!!!!! I love the warm spiciness. I’ve grown so tired of boring vanilla scents even though they used to be my favorite. This pays so well with my chemistry. I need it forever!

I’m confused why people are complaining about the longevity. I sprayed some on a hand and got whiffs of it all day long and that’s while washing my hands many times in between. Projection isn’t beastly but for the price that’s okay. It’s like hypnotic poison without the play dough effect

It's beautiful. Caps are a waste of plastic. The bottle is easily recyclable and it's a gorgeous color. I would pay WAY more this lovely sweet scent, but don't tell Pacifica that! It's along the lines of Eclix La Perla, Black Opium, and Private Show. Irresistible.

Love this easy-to-wear scent. It's warm and cozy without being cloying. Good value. Pacifica products have yet to irritate my sensitive skin or trigger my fragrance allergy. I've tried many of them and this perfume is no different. Love it

It may be my favorite scent from the line or at least among the top 3. Soft, cozy, sweet, enveloping like a warm, snuggly blanket. Dreamy. On a casual side. Highly recommend for fans of almond and powdery scents.

This is very nice simple vanilla. It reminds me of the original BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar. I get a lot of compliments on this fragrance, and I like using it to sweeten and soften other scents.

(This review is for the OG formulation.) Such a cozy and warm vanilla. The spices are subtle but add wonderful depth. There are brief flashes of Play-Doh sometimes, but I can get over it.

I didn't think I would like it because I don't normally like almond or spice, but it smelled like vanilla cold stone ice cream. There was a bit of a play doh scent, in a pleasant way.

It is stronger than I thought it would be. A vanilla fragrance, well blended with almond and I think I smell a floral. I love the Moon Moods collection. I have them all.

At first I get a vague rootbeer candy scent, then the vanilla and spices come through. It is so pretty and is a lighter scent, very cozy. This is what I wanted HP to be.

Goodness gracious 😳 I wouldn't have put money on people hating this like they do in these reviews! I don't agree with many of these at all...I like this! That being said, I do enjoy a good almond. I like B&BW's Almond Blossom, and one of my favorite things ever is Burt's Bees Almond Milk & Honey hand cream. I'm an almond nut! (Pun intended 😘) This is sweet, vanillic soft almond! What you see in the notes here is basically what you get, it's markedly linear and straightforward. Yet, I think if you crave almondy things (like I do) this will satiate you 😊 It's very pretty! It has nice projection, but nothing crazy. It lasts a decent amount of time, but for the price, you can't go wrong! I won't speak about how it relates to Hypnotic Poison, because I haven't had my nose on that fragrance in quite a while. I'm enjoying this a lot, and if I didn't own some almond stuff already I'd probably order a bottle 🥰 It doesn't smell "silver" or look blue to my in my mind's eye, it's a creamy beige color. This is so snuggly, warm, peaceful and makes me feel tucked in and ready for bed. Cozy as heck.

Silver Moon by Pacifica is a cozy, soft, and inoffensive vanilla almond gourmand. Most Pacifica fragrances seem to have this buttery/creamy/waxy sort of base, and I see you, negative reviewers. Yes, it is very strong in Silver Moon and comes off as plasticky and soapy at first. I can see many people not getting past this, and that’s perfectly fine. Still, I suggest you allow it to dry down before judging. In fact, I was disappointed at first too. However, after a few minutes, it reveals itself to be a warm, creamy, mellow vanilla. Sweet and lightly nutty with very little spice present. Not a complicated fragrance. Gentle and calm. Perfect for leisurely winter days in soft sweaters. Would be acceptable for business too. Sadly it doesn’t last or project very well.

This is pleasant and a little girly and youthful. I do like this, but this is not what I was originally looking for. I wanted this to be just a little spicier and smokier. A lot of almond is present at first spray then gets toned down a lot. It also has some floral and amber nuances in the dry down, then more vanilla and less spices when it's about to disappear from my skin. I'm not sure how I feel about that though. It's appropriate for both daytime and nighttime wear; however, the longevity is absolutely not there. Lasts max an hour on me. For 20 something bucks, it makes sense that it doesn't last long even though they claimed that it's a parfum. Some BBW mists last longer than this. I'll use it, but I won't get it again.

This is a nice spicy vanilla. This kind of reminds me of “Lace Draped Spectre,” by Solstice Scents but a lot more wearable than that one and sooo many people like lace draped spectre which a strong, dusty, spicy vanilla cookie scent, while this is much cleaner with the almond note. Honestly I would rather wear this than some designer perfume with nasty chemicals. Yeah it might not have as much depth, but these perfumes also mix with one’s skin chemistry and if you wear them right, they do morph and smell just as captivating. They also project the more you move around. I spray perfumes on parts of skin that I know will feel more heat, like my neck area, and perfumes smell great on there.

I’m reviewing the newer version that comes in the round bottle. It’s a simple sweet vanilla and almond scent that doesn’t project or last long, and it fades almost immediately unless you really overspray. With about 15–20 spritzes (minimum), though, it lingers nicely and even stays on clothes the next day. I appreciate that it’s a clean fragrance made with essential oils, though that likely explains its short longevity. The almond gives off a bit of a play-dough scent opening, but that softens over time. Overall, it’s nothing complex or groundbreaking; just an easy, cozy scent. I mostly use it on my bed and pillows since it makes a lovely, sweet bedtime fragrance.

This smells almost identical to one of my all time favorite body sprays, Soap & Glory Smoothie Star. The Smoothie Star body spray is an entirely separate fragrance from the other Smoothie Star body products, which are much more gourmand in nature. Like Smoothie Star, Silver Moon is a beautiful, clean, white musky vanilla almond scent. Unfortunately, it performs very much like a body mist with extremely weak projection. I wish it were stronger so it could replace Smoothie Star in my closet (I can't get it in my country and have to rely on people visiting overseas) but I do overall like it and will keep it in rotation to layer with stronger scents, perhaps.

This is a really quiet playdoh-y almond-vanilla and I quite like it. I also own Hypnotic Poison and contrary to most people's reviews of that, its never any more than a skin scent and only lasts a few hours for me. This is very similar so if you like HP its worth a sniff. I stop being able to really smell it after an hour or max 2, but the people around me can, and I recently picked up a sweatshirt it was on I'd worn 2 days previously and I could still smell it. So the anosmia kinda sucks but this is a great little gem. And Pacifica is ethical, natural and cruelty free and inexpensive to boot - no complaints here!

Pacifica makes some very nice natural fragrances, usually comprising of just a few notes. Silver Moon's bottle is very minimal, it does not come with a cap. The vanilla blends nicely with the almond, very reminiscent of Dior's Hypnotic Poison. Silver Moon is creamy and yummy and not cloying. There is very little spice detectable which is a little disappointing but the overall scent is pleasant. This is a deep gourmand, nicely rounded and has quite a bit of depth for only 3 notes. This is a fragrance you could keep in your bag to freshen up - at only $22 it's a great deal.

I bought this in a tester set, as I want to find a new perfume because my favorite one has been discontinued. Smells very cookie-like, a little artificial, I hated it the first few seconds but it is okay. The almond notes hit me like a train after my initial discomfort, then I could get the Vanilla and Tonka Beans. I like that it's not overpowering or "aggressive". It smells very reminiscent of childhood for me, and I think that can be comforting for some people. Like afternoons baking cookies and playing with dolls or stuffed animals, while the sun starts to go down.

I love this! I wish they could fix projection and strength? But the notes and the blend of them, is just lovely!! I NEED this exact scent but make it extra it? Stronger! And no to me, this does NOT smell anything like hypnotic poison imo. I’m an og Dior Posion girl, and maybe people think the almond is similar? But to me HP is a bit more dense and headache causing. Maybe they’re cousins Anywho I just discovered? I really love a lightly sweet almond and vanilla! Glad I blind bought this!

I was surprised by this. This is the only Pacifica fragrance I like. This is what Dior hypnotic poison is suppose to smell like. This the notes (vanilla, almond, spices) are pretty straight forward and that’s exactly what this smells like. It is a nutty vanilla, not to sweet, not to spicy, and not to powdery. Great for the price. I purchased the perfume. I also tried the body spray/hair mist version of this scent and it smelled like soap, so I would recommend getting the perfume.

This is more in the body spray category to me. Very light. I also definitely get the playdough smell on me, however, I don't mind that! I like a quirky scent from time to time, and I certainly don't have another one that smells like playdough. As it dries down, I smell the advertised notes- almond, vanilla and spices. Not complicated but not every scent needs to be that way. I agree with other reviews that it is good value for the money.

I've been on a huge vanilla kick lately so I was looking forward to this one...I like it...the vanilla and almond are very prominent, that this has a very play-doh kind of smell...light sillage and longevity but this is a cheapie - $22 for 1oz of perfume, or $12 for the body spray version...Pacifica is a great brand that deserves support, so if this one doesn't sound like your thing check out their other various perfume/spray offerings!

Sugar cookie-esque without smelling super edible or sweet. The longer it sits, the more comforting and less cookie-like it becomes. The spices are noticeable, as is the almond, and they add nuance that elevates this beyond a simple vanillic gourmand. The body mist is very fine and sits close to the skin (which you'd expect), but I can still smell it on my clothes even after spraying it 3+ hours ago. Great for layering or by itself.

Yes, it smells like Hypnotic Poison! I'm really fascinated that Pacifica has apparently decided to dupe HP, since it is an older scent that is no longer in fashion. It's also such a departure from Pacifica's usual style (actually all the Moon scents are). Anyways, I quite like Hypnotic Poison but gave up my bottle because I switched to brands without animal testing or phthalates. Silver Moon is a good and cheap alternative.

this perfume starts out as a cozy, inoffensive vanilla that's perfect for everyday wear. i haven't seen any reviews mentioning this, but after a few hours of wear, the musk note becomes incredibly prominent and it smells exactly like nemat amber oil. i certainly can't complain because i love the amber oil, but it's quite confusing because it feels like i'm wearing two different perfumes throughout the day.

Vanilla, the almondy components of heliotrope, airiness, no spices. There's not much evolution - and no off-notes through the brief wear-time (about 2 hours on my skin). I think Silver Moon is an inexpensive introduction to vanilla/almond/heliotrope style scents. However, I'm fortunate enough that I can afford Hypnotic Poison - which more than fills that particular slot in my collection.

Vanilla Musk Ambrette. Simpler. Soft. Very gentle fragrance. Close to the skin, almost not there. It is the softest of the "Moon" line , in my opinion. Lovely. Inoffensive. A fragrance gentle enough to get away with wearing around more scent sensitive folks, children and babies. Very suitable for doctors, teachers, nannies, babysitters, therapists.

I do not like Hypnotic Poison due to the playdough note I get so I thought I would try this one out as an alternative (as I do really enjoy almond/vanilla). It smells really nice and is more likeable than HP TO ME (which I realize is probably unpopular!) but performance isn't the best. I do like it and it'll be a nice, cozy bedtime fragrance.

I like it! It's a sweet, comforting and powdery vanilla that reminds me of a less complex version of Sabrina Carpenter's Sweet Tooth. I like the latter a lot more, since it doesn't develop the odd "Play-Doh" smell that Silver Moon does, at least on me. I'll still look forward to wearing this occasionally though when the weather turns colder.
