Vanilla Whip

Lovely. The orris is a major player in the opening, making one think this is going to be very powdery vanilla... but after a bit sweet vanilla comes forward. When I first smelled this, the orris in it immediately reminded me of another powdery scent I have: Mix:Bar Cloud Musk. The opening of Vanilla Whip is like a sweeter, vanillic version of that. After a while, the orris fades more to the background, letting that gorgeous vanilla take full lead. I perceive a bit of the pepper in the opening, a hint of almond, and a little sandalwood on dry down...but I really don’t register the florals, vetiver or amber. I have allergies right now, so when those clear up, I may start smelling more notes—not that I’m complaining! If it smells like this sans sneezy seasonal congestion, I’ll still be happy.😃 When wearing the Vanilla Whip edp and mist together, the resulting fragrance is lightly sweet and delicious, and with the orris it has a subtle powdered makeup note to it—a beautiful and timeless feminine note that I have always adored in perfumery. Performance is satisfactory for this one, I get about 3-4 hours. Pacifica frags traditionally disappear from my skin at about the 2 hour mark, so this is nice!

I'm so impressed by this little perfume! You get a gorgeous vanilla for under $15 and it lasts 3+ hours (on my skin). It does have that initial alcohol smell but the dry down is heavenly. I get a creamy, fluffy vanilla. Almost spun sugar/cotton candy vibes. So pretty on it's own and great for layering with other vanilla fragrances and body care. Update: This is a great scent if you work somewhere with a no fragrance policy. I work at a spa where we don't want a bunch of weird smells mixing together in the air but I still enjoy wearing perfume. A few sprays of Vanilla Whip and it adds the slightest sweetness to my scent bubble. So I feel good without disrupting the atmosphere of my work place:)

Literally 95% similar to Vanilla Skin by Phlur. It smells good, BUT it’s pretty weak and has zero projection, minimal longevity. I sprayed myself 10 times and 45 min later it completely vanished. I know it’s 15$ but most of my body mists last at least 2-3 hours... This is called an EDP that performs weaker than body mists. Pretty sad 😪

I love this!!! Very basic vanilla. Not super sweet just a nice light vanilla. Has awesome longevity for the price. It lasted a solid 4+ hours

It surprised me. There's this booziness to it, but like if you have a drink with brunch, or even like fruity pebbles & milk. Sweet, creamy and airy, slight pepper to it. I could wear it to a date night. Inoffensive and sits close to the skin. Odd but will keep. Update: So it smells like cake to others but to me it smells like what real authentic marshmallows smell like, the kind you make at home with marshmallow root. This scent has an earthiness to it, and I was originally put off by it 'cause it smelled stinky, but after shaking the bottle and wearing it by itself, it's quite delightful. This leans to be an earthy gourmand, like a fresh strawberry that still has a bit of dirt on it, or Cake made with whole natural ingredients. Organic, which coming from Pacifica kinda obvious. I only have the body spray and originally ordered the perfume so I'm updating this to my committed shelf.

I'm always auditioning new vanilla body mists as a base layer, so this review is for the body mist formulation, which has a similar note profile to the full strength version. Overall, I like this vanilla. Upon opening, I'd put it in the slightly greenish, sugary, fresher side (bergamot, orris, almond) of the vanilla spectrum. However, the drydown here is a fantastic and true vanilla extract scent, and very long lasting for a body mist. I did a side by side with the Athena Club Golden Vanilla and while the opening of that mist was admittedly nicer, it had zero longevity compared to Vanilla Whip, and Vanilla Whip deepened where Golden Vanilla faded into nothing. Vanilla Whip is also $5-6 less than the Athena one and for a body spray, I'd say it's a nice true vanilla that performs really well at an excellent value.

For the price point, this is very well done. It is your simple everyday layering vanilla, however I do find the almond/pink pepper notes prominent enough to give it a slight edge. Dries down to a gorgeous sweet, creamy scent. Lasted on my skin and hair way longer than anticipated, easy 3+ hours of wear time.

Simple, light, feminine and sweet vanilla fragrance that sits close to the skin. It performs like a body mist. Nice to keep in your work bag as it's not to overwhelming. Great value for what you get.

Body mist vibes, body mist price, body mist strength in a way smaller bottle than the average body mist. This smells like half a dozen generic kind of hairspray-like fragrances from Bath and Body Works. It has a little more sillage and lasting power than the Amber Cocoa, but that’s not saying much. Like the Amber Cocoa, it smells pretty juvenile and cheap. I thought it would be a good base layer vanilla, because a lot of the reviews I’ve seen suggested that- but it’s got too much synthetic citrus and florals. I think I was hoping it would be more like a Kuumba Made Vanilla Bean or EOS Vanilla Cashmere and it’s definitely not remotely in the same family. Wicked Vanilla Woods from Bath and Body Works is broadly similar but smells a lot better, in my opinion. Reading these other reviews after actually purchasing it is making me feel crazy- this smells like drugstore hair products.

The alcohol when first sprayed is STRONG, like nose burning strong, for at least 10 seconds, and for me it takes a while to smell sweeter (maybe a half hour? It could’ve been longer). I can’t describe what it smells like at first, maybe that’s because of the alcohol, but it just doesn’t smell like vanilla at first. It’s more of a fruity floral vanilla or something. It’s not a bad scent, but it’s not what i go for as i prefer sweeter, more gourmand vanillas, and i don’t like waiting for sweetness to come through lol I’ve only tried on clothes, so maybe it’d be different on my skin

This is very light. Lighter than a body spray. At first I just smelled alcohol. The dry down is a nice airy vanilla but it’s a skin scent and nothing more unless you use the entire bottle maybe??

Meh stale vanilla. It’s okay layered with warmer scents, could have been something without all the florals. Perfect for someone who like not so sweet gourmands tbh

Love this! Such a good little vanilla cheapie. Not at all like Island vanilla, their prior vanilla-both the og version and the creamier, reformulated version. This is closest to Vanille Chantilly by tutti delices-a creamier extract-y vanilla with grendadine and crap longevity. Also very similar to Athena club Golden Vanilla, Plush Vanilla and a sweeter Vanilla Skin- if you like any of those, youll like this! Longevity is good with this for the price, around 3-4 hours for me. If you're a vanilla lover I think you'll dig this one. Great price Pacifica! 👏

This is a very good vanilla, and would rate higher for me, but it pulls a bit synthetic on my skin. None of the others in the new releases do this. Otherwise, it's sweet without cloying, a rather airy and light vanilla almond cloud. I am definitely getting the sandalwood in this one, which keeps it more interesting, but is also what is pulling synthetic on me. I've noticed certain synthetic wood notes do that on my skin. Despite being my least favorite, I still quite like it. Great job with these new ones!

This is not what I was expecting. It is a simple Vanilla scent, I had not great expectations but this is not the gourmand scent I Imagined. It has a light almondy floral opening, that reminds me of baby cologne. The drydown shows more of a sweet vanilla aspect but it doesn't become too prominent. On my skin, this is some sort of sugared baby cologne scent. It is cute, just not what I imagined.

This smells like a slightly more almond Vanilla Skin dupe. Not exactly the same but pretty similar especially on the drydown. It also has the same slight smokey quality. The lasting power is better than most the others from this collection too. If you like a slightly smokey vanilla with a small dash of floral this is pretty worth the $15 price tag

Anyone who is familiar with Vanilla Skin by Phlur will instantly recognize that Vanilla Whip is a clone of that fragrance! It’s nice,smoky,alluring and sweet but definitely not for summer or warm weather.I will be saving my bottle for Fall and Winter.
