Lilu

I had this as a child in the early 2000's. Got it when I was between 8-10 years old. The daughter of family friends of ours worked at PacSun in the mall (she is 8 years older than me), so she was always able to give us discounts on everything (I was big into the Paul Frank monkey with braces, since I had them 😆) This scent is remembered as a very clean, almost soapy scent, with pretty florals, and slightly sweet. Not gourmand whatsoever. Just a light, clean, pretty, slightly sweet fragrance. Not juvenile but not "old lady-ish" either. I wish I still had this; it may be at my dad's house somewhere since a bunch of my stuff is still there, but I haven't seen it in a while. This fragrance + Nollie will always be nostalgic for me. My cousin passed away in 2013 and I remember her using Nollie back in 2006-2007 before we would go out anywhere. Both are great scents, but Nollie is way fruitier. If you are considering buying this, you won't regret it, if you like light scents with slight florals/clean aspects/slightly sweet. If you're a gourmand lover or love overly sweet scents, this may not be for you. It's a pretty perfume for ages anywhere from maybe 14+. I wish PacSun would bring this back because I would likely re-purchase. But I am coming from a nostalgic/sentimental aspect (I am 31 now.) PacSun + Hot Topic were IT (for me, anyway) back in 2003-2008. ♡

It's almost 2026, and I still cling to my old bottle of Lilu, but not to use anymore, just to smell for the nostalgia before placing it back in its sealed case to preserve the scent. I don't play about Lilu!! This perfume unlocks so many amazing memories from my teen years in the mid-late 2000's and I would do anything for Pacsun to bring it back, or for a good dupe. The notes include Top: Lychee, and Forest berries Heart/Middle: Tropical white florals (jasmine, freesia, frangipani), and Base: Warm, Marine, Macadamia nut. The macadamia in it makes it a one of a kind scent! This scent reminds me of 2006, a time in my life free from adult responsibilities and a head full of serotonin, hope for the future, and most likely weed! Pacsun would make an absolute killing by bringing this back for the Millennials, and if anyone finds a dupe, please share it with us Lilu fans! I've tried Lancome Miracle, nope too clean soapy-floral. Clean Reserve Acqua Neroli?, not it, and any other whispers of a similar fragrance I've tried, but nothing comes close to Lilu <3

Lilu holds a special place in my heart. This is the first perfume I remember finishing completely. I got it as a gift from my boyfriend when I was 17. He was my first "love". I'm 35 now and married to my real love, but the boy that gifted me Lilu was my first significant relationship. So I was ready to adore Lilu no matter what it smelled like! And I have only a vague memory of the scent, but it was fresh, delicate, soft, unobtrusive, plain, but fun and pleasant nonetheless. It actually was really good, worthy of a teenager's admiration. I bought a second bottle when I finished the first and dried that one up, too. It was my signature scent my senior year in high school. Interestingly, I found out it was discontinued right around the time the boyfriend and I broke up!

This was my high school fragrance and it is hands down one of the best fragrances out there. The florals are intensely tropical, warm, even verging on spicy, from what I remember. There's a tropical fruity aspect to it that's very uncommon...guava? starfuit? mango? I had a .5 oz of the rounded bottle (pictured). Now they cost an arm and a leg. I'm not willing to spend the money at this point because I'm afraid it might not satisfy like I remember, my tastes having changed drastically. But I do encourage those who love tropical, surfer-inspired, unique summery scents to try it out.

The short answer: Imagine Clinique Happy, minus the citrus. The long answer: Lilu is a combination of Hawaiian wedding flower, macadamia nut, and salty ocean breeze. There is zero sweet. It begins very strong and soapy- then warms to a soft, romantic fragrance. This one can be worn at school/work, family occasions, or on a date. Not in your face, but this perfume has significant longevity and respectable sillage. Lilu has a cult following of women who kicked, screamed, and cried in their pillows until it was re-released by PacSun...And, I'm one of them.

This was my FIRST perfume that I’d ever purchased for myself, I bought it consistently until I found Calvin Klein Euphoria. I’ve been longing to find this scent for years and the closest I’ve found is Britney Spears Circus Fantasy Perfume, definitely give it a try!

If anyone is looking for a dupe of this and is coming to Latin America in 2023, look for a brand called Natura, they have a perfum called Flor do Luar from their EKOS line, it is almost the same, Lilu is fresher, Flor Do Luar is like a mature version of this.

Please anyone, has anyone found a mix or dupe that smells like lilu?

Fresh and Clean without the Scream I blind-bought Lilu after searching 3 stores in two different states to test it. Apparently, it is quite popular, as no stores had it in stock. Even after I broke down and decided to order it, I could no longer get it off of the PacSun website either! So, to Amazon I went, looking for an after-market seller. The main reason I wanted to sniff Lilu is because someone recommended it after I asked what perfumes smell like Clorox 2 Colorsafe Bleach Powder. Clorox 2 is one of my favorite smells that I remember from childhood, and I really wanted a scent that reminded me of it. Short answer is that Lilu does not smell like Clorox 2, but they have similar auras, let's say. The opening probably contains some light citrus that provides the fresh burst at the beginning, but this is not a strong citrus. It's light and pleasant. The most interesting thing about the top notes is there is a creaminess early on. It's unique and helps keep this fresh floral from being too sharp. I'm not sure what lends this effect to Lilu. When you smell it on a strip, it seems like it will smell like a million other fragrances. It really blooms on the skin and is more unique than I expected. Among the fresh flowers (probably freesia, maybe lily, maybe soft jasmine, frangipani, passion flower?), I'm also sensing some slight fruitiness. Maybe a few sweet berries or lychee. Many have stated that this perfume is best for a young girl in spring time. I agree that it is great for this profile, but I think it is still very wearable by anyone who wants a fresh, quiet, breezy scent that has a slight bit of juiciness to it. Lilu wears pretty close to the skin, and its longevity is moderate. I'm pleased with my purchase overall.

I really enjoyed Lilu as a teen, but am not so fond of it now. I do feel as though the formula isn't the same as it was the first time I had it. In my teens, the bottle looked as it does in the photo above. The new bottle I have is more rectangular. The scent smells, for lack of better words, more cheap in this newer bottle than I remember with the old bottle. Maybe I'm just mature now, who knows. All I know, is I'm not a huge fan, and I barely wear this. However, I do find if I spray it on what I'm going to wear a few hours before I am actually going to wear the outfit, the smell is bearable. The longevity and sillage is very strong with this one. I find it sweet and full of floral notes.

This was the first real perfume (as opposed to body mist/splash) I bought for myself, back when it first launched. If only I could remember what Lilu smelled like... I definitely recall straight florals, with no sweetness or fruitiness. This translated as very "grown-up" to me at the time. Actually, I still have a little bit in the original bottle but unfortunately it's gone wayyy off. Just keeping for nostalgia's sake at this point.

This was the first real perfume I ever purchased for myself and it was about 7 or 8 years ago! I still love the scent but what's left in my bottle no longer smells the same; it has more of a rustic scent as opposed to the bright sharp scent it used to have. I wish they would rerelease it.

I like this perfume, but it smells terrible on me. On other people, it's great. But for some reason when I wear it it just smells sharp and spicy.

The first perfume I ever bought for myself. I loved those summery, sporty teen scents when I was in middle and high school. I still have a bottle, but unfortunately I think it has turned or something. Too bad! I did love it once, though. Strangely, even back then, I found a strange phenomenon where every girl I ran into liked the scent and asked what I was wearing, but guys thought it smelled like some sort of powerful, sharp B.O. Even my own dad thought I hadn't washed my clothes the first time he smelled me wearing it. Very strange. So maybe it's good if you want to impress the ladies and keep the men away, hahaha!

I miss this! Just a clean but yet still a little sexy scent.
