Pineapple Essenza

Pineapple Essenza is the newest frag from the Panah London line. I just want to state right off the bat that this is not an Aventus clone or even anything remotely Aventus so if you saw "Pineapple" and are on the lookout for an Aventus Clone, pick up Armaf CDNIM or Cedrat Boise, Tiziana Terenzi Orion or any one of many others. Conversely, do not dismiss it as an Aventus wannabe without trying it either. Pineapple Essenza is fruity, sweetish but clean smelling frag, unisex, office friendly and similar in theme to earlier Panah releases like Italian Citrus so if you liked those, it's a no brainer. Top note is a blast of sweet pineapple and citrus. This blend stays for most of the scent life, I keep picking it up even hours later. The black currant and tonka sweeten the frag in the heart, giving the frag a juicy fruity vibe but never gets heavy or cloying. The base of vanilla and musk is very similar to the first 4 Panah releases, it's like the trademark Panah blend, I mean I smell it and I know it's a Panah frag. This is EDP so projection is good and noticeable for the first 5-6 hours but not obnoxiously so definitely work friendly as long as you dont over spray. Longevity on me is pretty good, I got around 9 hours until I showered it off although it was soft for the last couple of them. Like the rest of their product line, Panah products kind of ooze restrained class, ( If you have tried their ties or pocket squares, you will know) and this philosophy extends into their fragrance line as well so dont expect anything edgy or experimental. Pineapple Essenza is a good, fruity frag that can be dressed up or down and if you live in a warm country, is a year round frag. I have been wearing this for the past couple of days and it's one of those frags that's very comfortable so you kinda forget you have it on until you get a nice whiff and think, damn something smells good, oh it's me!

Finally got my hands on this new launch. Pineapple Essenza opens with a blast of fresh fruity notes with prominent sweet pineapple and hint of blackcurrant and lemon in the background. The least noticeable note is lemon during this phase. As the fragrance develops on my skin the pineapple become more prominent alongside blackcurrant which adds the juicy sweet vibe to it. This fruity vibe remains through out the scent life. The florals have been nicely worked around by the perfumer to make the fragrance bearable. At the base Vanilla is slightly noticeable but this is understood due to the heavy note of Tonka which is overwhelming and cannot be missed ! Infact Tonka is the star ingredient of this fragrance which sweetens, smoothness provides richness, imparts powdery nuances too and supports vanilla. Brilliant stuff ! They should have named this fragrance Pineapple Tonka ! The Tonka makes Pineapple smell like as if it dipped in honey of course without making it overly sweet. Overall the longevity and projection are rock solid 10+ hours and this fragrance outshines its peer Italian Citrus by miles. Fruity notes are very well blended to perfection with heavy gourmand notes and the perfumer has masterfully used one ingredient i.e Tonka bean to balance the whole perfume .

My nose, my opinion. Sweet and pleasant but not a show stopper. I liked it more as the hours passed and others around me seemed to like it too.

A Panah fan now... I blind purchased Brandied Pear and some other samples from Luckyscent. Big hit with me (see my review). Gourmantic Orange also suckered punched me and I ordered it with this and ICY Citrus which I was waiting for them to stock. All smashingly! Impressive. Not super earth shattering different but the ethos shows through in each one. Super high quality (the oil leaves a super shiny sheen on my skin), very gourmand, Slightly skewed to left field and whilst exceptional in longevity not designed to overwhelm a room but designed to accompany you all day, pleasantly refreshing you. This scent whilst lovely is the only relative let down. Whilst lovely it dries down after an hour to a dusty pineapple and citrus old ladies perfume (as far as perfumes like this it is saying something that I still like it even so). The opening incredulously is that of pineapple wine (like from Hawaii) or rotten pineapple that has turned and fermented (actually quite pleasant and interesting) which lasts 5 to 25 minutes before evolving and the pineapple softens blending with some lemon over a prominent dusty base. For me this is feminine wearable for men. This one will be gifted but if pineapples are your thing in a gourmand give it a go.

This smells exactly like a glitter hair spray from my childhood! Mainly sharp citrus and lily, a bit of sweetness, but not the juicy pineapple I had hoped for. I usually layer this with Creed Virgin island water which really helps balancing the notes.

I ordered these samples direct from the Panah website. Sadly, I was left very disappointed overall especially by this one. Another Pineapple (or should I say 'Pineapple') scent that totally messes up the plot for me. I mean firstly where *is* it? All I get are a screeching White flower and lemony-citrus offset by the crudest of fruits - like a weird, gone-off rotting peach or something. Citruses and freshies are all about that 1st Impression - the bracing yet totally addictive and people-pleasing welcoming. This is even worse than Gallagher's Amongst Waves! The 'sweetness' - where is it?? The fragrance was more like a weird laundry detergent than anything approaching sweet, juicy fruits. Furthermore, my sample had something terrible in it - a micro-fly that had somehow got in during the decanting over there and drowned!! I wanted to report it to Panah but I just cannot be bothered now and I tossed the sample in the trash. All I can say is - thank Goodness for samples, and that's why I will not give this scent a 0 or 1 out of ten. It was a lovely sunny October day when I tested these yesterday and well, my coffee was wonderful. There, ending on a positive & bonus marks! My rating: 2/10.

I stupidly blind purchased this based on the notes. To my nose, the opening is a strong acrid window cleaner odor. As it opens up, the window cleaner odor lessens slightly. There is a slight chlorine bleach note (like Comet cleanser), and the musk peeks through. I can usually find SOMETHING pleasant is most fragrances. Not here. It has a really unfortunate chemical smell. I detected ZERO fruits or florals in this.

I can't get anything other than nail polish remover from this

This was one of the only misses for me in the sample pack I recently ordered. It's a little too sharp, practically all acid from the initial spray to the dry down - it never quite smooths out and I'm left with this sort of impression of cleaning product. That said, I fell in love with pretty much every other fragrance I tried from this house, and I currently have full bottles of Gourmantic Orange, Pink Champagne Truffle, and my favorite of the bunch, Tuberose Vanille on the way. So while Pineapple Essenza didn't work with my skin chemistry, overall I am very impressed with Panah!

I have ordered from them. Received my package after 4 weeks. Received the wrong perfume. The shipping box listed the correct one but the box inside didnt. I opened the package out of curiosity thinking it was mislabeled. Now they refused to reimburse me after they promised to do so. Will never deal with you guys again. Worst service ever. Order#1029
