Velvet Oudh

Velvet Oudh is my favourite of the Panah line so far. As the name suggests, this is a thick, soft, oudh that covers you gently. Like a rich, velvet, Tuxedo. Starts off with what I think is the trademark Panah Damascena Rose note, ( apart from Italian Citrus, it's there in all the other 3 frags in this line) with woody notes. The heart is a rich, sensual patchouli, I dont know if it's Indian but smells very natural. ( for example, Not a Mugler A*Men type patchouli) The rose from the top, the patchouli in the heart blends exquisitely with the sweet Cambodian Oud in the dry down. There seems to be an ambergris type fixative but it's more probably ambroxan. It does not really matter as the whole fragrance is blended and balanced beautifully. If you like sweet oudh and rose combos, do not miss out on this. One of the best I have tried in a long time. Again, longevity and projection are good but not beast mode. About 5-6 hours. I think this is more of an evening fragrance so works out nicely for a night out. This is also pretty much unisex, I can see it working for guys n gals. It is sweet so do bear that in mind.

It is a smoother take on oud, very westernised if I may say. The composition is well rounded. Recommended for anybody looking for an introduction to oud. There's a slighly powdery, musty feel to this fragrance, suspect this is the patchouli. Think this one is leaning more towards masculine.

Oudh Velvet by Panah London: One of the Best from this House Amazing frag...I got this beautiful perfume from Projekt Perfumery India (PPI). I am an Oud greedy... love Oud in any form. This is the best presentation of Oud in western way. Oud has very anamalic aroma and but Oud Velvet really shows very sweet and beautiful blended approach with patchouli. Opening with cashmere and Rose really going to blow your mind, very sensual and attracting. The sweet Oud from Cambodia takes it to a different level and very much unisex and soft Oud not like Middle Eastern Oud oils. Patchouli in it lingers throughout the journey of the fragrance It's a long-lasting perfume...for me it stays about 8+hrs. VO is a very versatile perfume and best occasion to wear this is perfume defiantly in office setting during high end client meeting with suite and tie. Panah London you have really taken Oud, Rose and Patchouli into different level. I have ordered from them. Received my package after 4 weeks. Received the wrong perfume. The shipping box listed the correct one but the box inside didnt. I opened the package out of curiosity thinking it was mislabeled. Now they refused to reimburse me after they promised to do so. Will never deal with you guys again. Worst service ever. Order#1029

All I can say this is an amazing take on Rose and Oudh. Velvet Oudh is beautifully blended with standout notes of Panah Damascus Rose , Smooth westernized Oudh and patchouli in the background. Top notch quality and 8-10 hours longevity.
