Again I had the chance to sample this due to generous user Olgaolga 18, that I thank! This is an extremely sweet, borderline gourmand scent on my skin. The vanilla is very prominent, and it’s a thick, powdery vanilla. I don’t know the scent of ebony too well, but it might be the one that amps up the dusty/ woody side? It’s very easy to wear and lovely and it reminds me slightly of Hypnotic poison, minus the bitter note and not as deep. Performance is good on me, sillage is close to the skin but still present after 6 hours.

I love a good plum scent, this is an interesting presentation. I love the deep ebony wood here. This presents a duality of both a deep calm zen like feeling and a very sensual one. Beautiful in a serene and sensual way. The full yet gentle gardenia is elegantly presented; it is not heavy and plastic as some other gardenia or white florals can get, this one is well balanced and clean with a well mannered light jasmine. I get plum and woods melded together here as it evolves. It is kept from becoming gourmand from the cedar and sandalwood and adds a facet of depth to a sensual sweetness; the vanilla is a very smooth well balanced background player that rounds out the woods and plum dry down.
