Eau Suave

دور از انتظار یه عطر رز-میوه ی دیگه که لابد بوی تمشکش بر نمره ی منفیش اضافه خواهد کرد! وقتی که نتهای این عطر رو دیدم؛اولین نکته ای که از ذهنم گذشت این بود!اما قضاوت در مورد خیلی از عطرها قبل از تست؛بی انصافیه و خصوصا پیش داوری در مورد عطرهای این خانه دیگه از کفر ابلیس هم بدتره! آشناترین رایحه ای که از عطرهای این برند استشمام کنید؛ویژگیهایی خواهند داشت که قطعا نظر شما رو جلب میکنن و EAU SUAVE هم یه دلیل محکم بر این ادعاست! شروع اسپایسی قدرتمند عطر؛بسیار زیباست و گیشنیز و فلفل فضایی تند و کمی خاکی ایجاد میکنن که رایحه ی انیمالیک قدرتمندی بطور واضح در کنارشون حس میشه.بعد از 5دقیقه حس انیمالیک و چرکین به حاشیه میره اما در این فضای سنگین ادویه ای و گرفته میشه حسش کرد. کمی بعد فضای خاکی و تند تقویت میشن و یه حس چوبی و کمی دودی هم میشه حس کرد که احتمالا بخاطر پچولی و خزه هست. حدود یک ساعت که از عمر عطر میگذره؛همچنان این فضا حکمرانی میکنه و در پس اون رایحه ی خفیفی از رز با همون حس آشناش استشمام میشه اما ادویه ها و فضای چوبی و انیمالیک؛کاملا مهارش کردن و نمیتونه خودشو بالا بکشه. نکته ای که جالب هست برام؛حس نکردن نتهای میوه ای هست.تنها چیزی که حس میکنم رایحه ی تمشکهایی هست که از بس رسیده و آبدار شدن؛وقتی بوته ها رو کنار میزنی؛تعدادیشون میترکن و رایحه ی ملسشون در کنار رایحه ی برگها وبوته ها و خاکهای روشون به بینی هجوم میارن. اما خبری از رایحه ی میوه های تازه و آبدار نیست! با گذشت زمان عطر ملایم تر میشه و کمی حال و هوای گلی و شیرین قویتر میشه اما همچنان تحت تاثیر فضای اولیه ست. EAU SUAVE عطری بسیار با کیفیته که اگرچه تقریبا خطی هست اما بازی زیبایی روی پوست داره و اگه انتظار دارین مثل دو عطر زنانه ی دیگر این برند و با توجه به نتهای میوه ای و رزی که در ترکیبش می بینید؛رایحه ای با نشاط و آبدار و شیرین بهتون ارائه کنه؛مثل بنده سخت در اشتباه هستید! این عطر نمایش قدرت نتهای ادویه ای؛خزه ای و کمی انیمالیک هست که رز و چند میوه رو در اطراف خودشون می بینن و طراوت و شیرینی رز و میوه ها؛فقط از سنگینی اونها کم میکنه و فضا رو تلطیف میکنن. آقایون هم با خیال راحت میتونن که بپوشنش و ازش لذت ببرن و برای خانمها شاید کمی سنگین باشه. با اینهمه؛حتما تست کنید این عطر رو؛چرا که نظر دادن در مورد کارهای جناب کورتیشیاتو سخته و نمیشه به چند کامنت و یا ترکیب نتها بسنده کرد! هر کسی برداشت خودش رو داره! کامنت:م.ع (سایت لوکس بایر (با امکان تست سمپل

Dirty and spicy rose "soured up" with bowl of fruits. This seems a very mature rose perfume, it smells extremely sensual, as said before - Dirty. Might as well be worn to a boudoir of a fancy 19th century madame. The rose here is very cold, sour and earthy. The fruits here does not add any sweetness at all, but they do tend to be very sour on my skin, which I would normally dislike, but here it fits perfectly. The "dirty base" on my skin is mostly made from oakmoss which on my skin is very noticeable. As with all perfumes from Parfum d'Empire this also is a very high quality product, very rich and natural smelling. I have yet to decide if there is a place for such a dirty rose in my fragrance wardrobe, but it is surely worth a try.

Very qualitative stuff, strong, multidimensional and naturally smelling. The opening is a bit too sharp for my senses, I instantly get lots of oakmoss, which isn't my favorite accord in perfumery, and I also smell earthy patchouli, although both notes are supposed to show up in the base. However, both oakmoss and patchouli calm down in 15-20 minutes time and the sweet nature of Eau Suave unfolds, with pepper, patchouli and moss only framing the fruits and the rose. Unlike my dear fellow Fragranticans, I think that Eau Suave is very sweet. In a tasteful way, but still, very sugary. Sillage and longevity are both spectacular.

I like to smell rose perfume, but compound - if roses take a stand not solo, but with spice or with fruits or with musk. In Eau Suave are: mature, dark roses, juicy raspberries, comely currants, coriander, pepper, saffron pepper, musk. These notes fine connect. Scent is dinamic and also very elegant, very feminine, expressive, magic. It remember a bit Safran Troublant, but is more intense and as write Parisa - is very lasting with great sillage. I have second bottle this unusually femine, very originale Eau Suave.

Pink tea rose with cool, soapy coriander. Then, something softly sweet - vanilla? I didn't like it at first because of the coriander, which I thought was cold, soapy, masculine. But I have revisited my sample, spraying it on skin rather than paper, and the rose and vanilla came out to balance the coriander. Now I find it strangely compelling. It's a refreshing change from the sickly-sweet samples of designer fragrances I've been given recently by sales assistants at the department store.

The more I test this the more I love it..it is a deep spicy rose with wonderful sillage, I compare it with Voleur de Roses and cannot choose.. they re both rosey, spicey soft grown up and lovely roses but I think I go for this one..maybe it s the saffron, this goes so well with the rose and the peach, for me it is a good gourmandy rose. It is not an innocent rose, it is dard and sexy...I go for a full bottle:)

A light, wonderful modern chypre, very classical and romantic fragrance. Just spray, can smell the spicy pepper, rose surrounded, very supple and harmless. So for a while, suddenly rose in patchouli surrounded appear, like the young Josephine, with her extraordinary beauty, wisdom stand out in a crowd inside.

Powdery, spicy rose chypre. I know there is nothing spicy in the note list but somehow I feel that way...more unique than Le Cri.

I can't get enough of this fragrance. Let me bathe in it. Feminine? a bit, but I'm a guy and I love it too!

Eau Suave is, at its core, a rose chypre, punctuated by fruity and spicy notes. A bold, multifaceted scent, ES is well-composed with high-quality ingredients. What is curious about this scent is the order of the notes - instead of using predictable fruity top notes, it starts off spicy, and the fruity notes make up the heart of the scent instead. This adds a little flair to an otherwise predictable, if excellent, rose chypre. ES is rose-dominant throughout - a very good thing in my book. The rose note is initially slightly powdery and bolstered by a spicy saffron note, sophisticated and luxurious from the beginning. There is a nice peppery edge, but saffron is the main source of spice, complementing the rose to opulent perfection. The coriander is barely-there, and I'm glad - although I don't dislike coriander, I feel that its soapiness could take from this scent. As it develops, the fruity notes emerge. The berries add cordial-like sweetness with a slightly tart undertone. The peach follows after a little while, adding a mild honeyed sweetness. The rose remains the constant - jammy and sweet. As it dries down, the chypre base comes to the fore. Patchouli leads the way, marrying nicely with the rose to form that classic accord. It is wonderfully earthy and slightly mossy as it dries down. It fades to a sweet, musky skin scent with some mossiness remaining. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. It is a feminine-leaning, transeasonal rose scent with just the right amount of sweetness. A good-quality rose chypre with points of interest, ES is a creative take on a classic that is still relatively unchallenging. I enjoy the blend of fruits and saffron serving to complement the rose that remains king throughout. Really good stuff from a truly excellent house. 4/5.

Rose isn ́t particularly a note I die for in a fragrance. What usually deters me is its pungent (sometimes to the point of being suffocating!) flowery-soapy smell which has a nasty tendency to dominate all other components. However, there ́s a limited number of perfumes containing a rose note that I do appreciate. "Eau Suave" by Parfum d ́Empire is one of them. Beware all rose-haters: this is also a full-on rose fragrance. In spite of this fact, the note displays an enchanting spicy-fruity character. "Eau Suave" is supposed to evoke the smell of a rose garden. Well, I ́d be more than delighted to while away the time in a garden exuding this kind of aroma. I ́m not sure I ́m ready to purchase a full bottle of "Eau Suave", but, at the same time, I have to confess that the more I test it, the more I succumb to its rose-y allure. Good job, Mr Corticchiato!

Eau Suave opens with the oddly charming smell of green peas just shelled, fresh, vegetal, a little damp, like chlorophyll snapping. Shortly after, I smell crushed stems, with a cool green rose threaded through and a dry, herbal vetiver that keeps it from drifting into romance. Hours later, it’s as if the perfume had been scripted for a whole day: bright and green for the morning, then by afternoon it morphs into something surprisingly close to Rose of No Man’s Land. The rose warms, swells, goes a bit fizzy, and settles over a clean, crunchy patchouli base. Longevity is excellent, enough to play two entirely different roles. And here’s the playful dilemma: do I linger in the vegetal charm of shelled peas or jump straight into the opulent rose-patchouli glow? I find myself happily stuck in no man’s land, even if it doesn’t move an inch once it starts.

I was so ready to give this up do to the strong spicy start . could not smell anything else but musky coriander and dirty spices. was so ready to rubb it off , but somehow new there would be a reward.. the rose had to kick in at some point. a warm slightly spicy Rose in the drydown . Almost like a taifh rose . it is very feminin and warm. i cant seperate the berrys and fruits , but they lingers in there to make it slightly softer and more wearable to me. the vanilla also comes forth in the drydown but very subtle and not very strong , just a hint to warm and sweeten it up This remind me a little bit off A.Maze People off the labyrinths. This is a grown up Rose , seductive and comforting.. im so glad i got to try this

It's true that Eau Suave isn't breaking new ground, but I've tried a lot of the things it's compared to above and it genuinely strikes a chord that none of the others do because of the drydown - it's soft, ever so slightly sweet, and one of those where people say "you smell good" instead of "your perfume smells good." Rostracto, Soir De Lune, Coriandre, etc all are a bit too sharp or a bit too heavy. Eau Suave's opening notes are similarly sharp (it's the coriander), but it settles much better than I think those others do.

That's pretty good. Rose forward with patchouli/oakmoss in the base giving it a vintage vibe and some fruit molecules to sweeten it a bit. It's a good fragrance, but it doesn't speak to me. Performance is average.

It's good. It's funny. I wrote down the following notes that i smelled (before looking up notes): Rose, Citron, Corriander, Cedar, Vetiver, Black pepper, and Oakmoss (not in that order specifically). After seeing the notes listed, I have no idea where berries and peach is supposed to be. I don't get any sweetness, fruityness or Saffron. To me, this smells like a barbershop fragrance with a Rose touch. Very nice indeed, but not what it's described as. FYI, I'm spraying 4 sprays from the official sample (which are Awesome samples). Very work friendly. Quite masculine. All seasons, but best for Spring and Autumn days. Personal score: 7.5/10. This is clean, energizing, and refreshing. Like a nice shave, finished with a splash of Rose aftershave. It's beautiful.

Opens very strong and powerful, spicy, lots of coriander, also pepper, a briny dirty musk and a bit of fruits. I also pick up aldehydes. The fruits become stronger and saffron joins the party. The drydown is mostly rose, musk and moss notes that are slightly dusty. Sillage is moderate, longevity moderate to long. The rose never really warms up on my skin and becomes slightly sour, which is amped by the fruity notes. The opening reminds me of Musc Tonkin by the same house. I smell the same briny dirty musk. This scent isn't really my thing, it becomes slightly dusty leathery, almost musty. I will save this sample for summer, to see how it works out when it is warmer. Right now, it is not working for me.

8:40 - It smells like...furniture? A couch in a clean vintage shop. I'm confused by this. A watery rose-coriander open. Not really picking up the saffron right away. Super basic for now. Let's see where this goes. 8:50 - I regret putting this on, which is rare for me. Even if I don't like something, it's usually more about the experience. This is making me straight up unhappy. The vetiver is asserting itself in all it's masculinity, but coming off as a creepy dude watching women leave the bathroom. 10 - Vetiver, coriander, and a musky patchouli. The rose is barely there and the saffron seems to drift in and out as a discordant note. Could be worse, but it's 100% not for me.

Soapy, mossy, peppery, rose drydown. I smell a dry coriander seed note. The fragrance smells masculine in the opening then softens femininely within the first hour. -

Wonderful grown up spicey rose. Fruits don`t make it sweet. Very intense and long lasting scent with great sillage. Must have for rose lovers

I had been ignored this perfume for too long. WAY TOO LONG. The name declares suavity (a certain gentelness and refinement), the Empire's theme was Josephine - I was more than content with my Napoleonic leathery-aromatic glorious Eau de Glorie - the theme the rose where the stakes are so high in my collection to th epoint I said enough to roses, all of these made me overlooked Eau Suave. Mistaken was I! Misleaded was I! And I should have known better as noone understand plants and botanics as Mr. Corticchiato; whether for his Ph.D., wheter his experience, or his talent, this is a rose for a king perfectly comparable to the original Lyric Woman, that masterpiece by Monsieur Visentin and @cchonguk that I will review soon. I sprayed my vial and I was soon assaulted by the most realistic red red masculine rose. Pepper, coriander, saffron, Rose de Malmaison, apricot, raspberry, peach, vanilla, and musk are the declared notes. The rose is so spicy that at first said to me male and that later said chypre (mossy woody type of perfume). Even if the notes say otherwise, Eau Suave smells like a chypre to me. It excitingly straddles the gender line, with one half of it thorny and herbal (to the point that I though to angelica, but it is not listed) and the second half soft and fruity. This rose is gender inclusive way ahead of its time. It is a red and slightly dirty rose with strong aromatic/spice accents and, surely, some moss. In the middle of the fragrance the fruits appear and sweeten up what to me has seemed a bitter gorgeous opening. Once Eau Suave dried down, it picked up an interesting bitter nuttiness and additional fruitiness that lent an aspect I hadn’t found in other rose chypres except the aformationed Lyric Woman. Vanilla further served to soften the presentation; it’s quite a large dollop they’ve scooped onto the bottom of Eau Suave and it is this finale that hooked me for ever. Again, Corticchiato took me by surprise to the point I had to added to my collection. A peppery, softly camphoraceous, barbershop rose. (Thank you ZeaMoore4 below for illuminating that barbershop facet.) It is soapy in a grand, old-fashioned, well-groomed way -- a territory with which there is some overlap with an apothecary shop: herbs, salves, ointments. Smells to me like a kindly, taciturn, freshly shaved gentleman working in his rose garden on a cool morning while a very faint whisper of Tiger Balm rises from beneath all the tweedy layers he is wearing. It resembles Agent Provocateur a little, but AP is louder, more femme, and smolders with the warmth of a humid inner-thigh, whereas Eau Suave has a very polite, mixed-company, warm/cool dichotomy going on. PSA to say that the accords here are misleading: I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone to describe this as "fruity." For lovers of Crabtree & Evelyn Nantucket Briar, Moschino Toy Boy, Clinique Aromatics Elixir, E&J Nirvana Rose, and possibly Narciso eau de toilette (black cube).

Out of 6 samples I bought directly from Parfum d'Empire(relatively quick shipping to US, only about $20 for six - highly recommended!), Eau Suave and Cuir Ottoman were my faves. When I tested Eau Suave, first perfume came to my mind was Eau de Protection by ELDO. While Eau de Protection feels something wild, sharp, and metallic, Eau Suave is softer, befitting its name. Backed by chypre base, rose is prominent yet softened by a little powdery and fruity touch. Among the various rose chypre or rose patchouli I've tried, this is the remarkably well balanced one. I really appreciate patch does not stick out too much nor the rose too sweet. Parfum d'Empire is one of a few niche firms that offers high quality scents at reasonable price point.

What is it about ES that is, within minutes of application, so worn-in and comforting? It reminds me of throwing on an old shirt to find that it has traces of scent from the last time I wore it. It has the appealing note, in the nicest possible way, of dirty laundry, used bedding. I'm not experienced or sensitive enough to be able to separate the threads of the laundry/bedding phenomenon into individual notes, but there are many earthy, sensual notes present - saffron, coriander, oak moss, patch, musk. The vanilla is very, very gentle. Beautiful composition with a timeless feeling. Not 'unisex' (I don't like this word) but both masculine and feminine in balance. Not my usual sort of thing, but very compelling.

A perfume in its niche prestige. Not loud, nor extraordinary, it's here not to please anybody, nor in particular purpose, on the contrary, if you're intelligent enough to notice its existence, he/she will start to lead you into a new horizon, beautiful enough, refreshing and impressive, though maybe not the one and only in the end, but this always speaks its name ever since. Man asks when talks about the niche what the hell is it in perfumy, is it about money? Or olfactory whatsover? I would answer with Eau Suave. Does something you never notice before suddenly hit you? And a part inside you is just woken ever after...

One of the only rose fragrances I can pull off. Lightweight and refreshing, highlighting the citrussy and effervescent aspects of the flower rather than its smoldering or sensual qualities. The interplay between florals, mosses and a bit of patchouli makes this fragrance a Chypre, albeit a modern and transparent one. Tangy in its fruitiness rather than syrupy/sweet, so stays way clear of the fruitchouli territory........ Completely unisex and its versatility makes it signature scent material. Can be worn on all occasions (work, gym, dinner and theatre) and in all seasons. Bravo!!

At the opening, the spicy notes come first. It joltingly reminded me of Youth-dew for a few minutes. But this goes in a very different direction. These spices don't stick around, but rather rise up and grow diffuse. Beneath them is revealed a rather heavy and somber rose, anchored firmly to its oakmoss and patchouli. I'm sure this must be somebody's lightly spiced rosechouli, ...but it's not mine.

For women?? This really should be sold as unisex. Honestly, it feels extremely masculine to me. I detect no fruits. This is a dapper, straight from the barber shop, freshly shaved man. He is stylish and confident, he can pull off rose. Especially this lovely rose drowning in saffron and coriander. Super uplifting. Decent sillage. Great longevity. The bottle is elegant.

"Eau...Not So Suave" *** This is an eau? As a matter of fact, it is, if you think of eau de rose, an ancient arabian recipe for skin's youth. But, of course, this is from Parfum d'Empire, a house that always delivers some twist on their perfumes, and here you will take with your eau the raspberry over the base chyprée. This house has great perfumes. This is just nice.

Like many others I thought, how can this be for women? Beautiful masculine scent! But wait 30 to 40 minutes... then the florals win, and this becomes a surprising, moreish, sophisticated blend which a woman can wear day or night. Like all their other scents, superb quality and good longevity. I love surprises! Must be tried. My nose loved the stuff x

This is a rose patchouli bomb very similar to others like eau de protection etat libre de orange and Charlotte Tilburys love frequency. It isn't the most original but nonetheless enjoyable if you appreciate traditional rose scents. This one has great projection and longevity as well. Beautiful interpretation of that genre.

Tart lemon opening.White flowers, orange blossom come next. It is a powdery cologne type of scent. I rather smell white flowers than rose here. Reminds me of Eau de Givenchy and Sintra Memo Paris. 7/10

Rose fragrance lovers definitely have to check this one out. It's all about rose: fresh, aromatic, spicy, a bit sweet. It's elegant and not shy. Very well composed fragrance!

Excellent rose chypre for fragheads who are craving retro structures with prominent oakmoss accord and fruity, bold, dark rose. Classic and timeless, impeccable taste.

As said, strong opening. Very sharp lemonpeel & coriander. Fades into pepper, rose and small puffs of coriander & vanilla. I get no peach.raspberry or musc.

Spicey rose,a little bit confused with a patchouly drydown that makes wonder "that's all?".Forgettable.

To my nose is a mixture between Fougere Bengale and 3 Fleurs. Especially reminds of this last one

Why for women??? :-) I wear it as a man, and fits on my suit. Very good scent!
