Wasanbon

Smells of sunlight, wagashi, and art supplies. I could wear this every day. I wonder if American and European perfumers are afraid to use the lemon in this, since it might remind someone of a cleaning agent. It's worth the risk - it's nothing like the standard vaporizing citruses in other perfumes, it lingers and somehow seems to hold more memory in it.

SO good! very unique gourmand that smells just like its name (wasanbon being the very fine sugar used in making wagashi) it has this delicious almost sparkling honey scent that i've never really seen in your usual sugar forward fragrances. Its mostly powdery but theres definitely a underlying woody/nutty note within it that makes it really stand out

Light grape soda and powdery sugar candy. For me, with the strong almond note and sparkling soda note, this smells like the demure little sister of Dior's Hypnotic Poison. I love it, but the weak wear and silage makes me second think in getting a bottle. I'll try spraying it on my hair.

I have a sample of this, mostly I was intrigued to try something from Parfum Satori as someone who loves Japan, gourmands, and has always looked for something to sate my sweet tooth... without feeling like I'm in high school again. Wasanbon is quite perfect in all regards. I think Parfum Satori have done a marvelous job to evoke the smell of wagashi - the treats that come with tea during a tea ceremony. Expect sugar, sugar and sugar, never cloying and freshened with lemon and iris. It is, as others have said, warm and gentle. You wont ever mistake this for one of those head-ache inducing western takes on sweet perfumes. This doesn't project, but sadly also doesn't last well on my skin - expect about 2 hours before it departs. Still though - if you want to smell delicious and still like a grown up, this is very beautiful.

A very powdery kind of sugar, just like the candy itself. I'd say it's quite vivid, but since I don't like this type of candy (similar to Smarties with the fruitiness toned down) I'm quite indifferent with the fragrance as well..

Wasanbon is a traditionally made Japanese sugar and dry confectionery. This fragrance is a gentle sweet elegant and sugary scents. I like this a lot.

A nice, dry, sugary, flowery smell that brings me instantly in a good mood, even though sweet is not my favourite. Not heavy or longlasting.

-Opens as a mass-pleasing, feminine scent. -Dries down quite interesting. -Base notes: woody, with a hint of resinous sweet amber. (-)
