Yosi Break Kanto Version

Whoever left the review that this scent is “more female” must be joking because this is the stronger and significantly more masculine flanker of the Original Yosi Break. I first sprayed this on a tester strip, and my initial reaction was “WOAH THAT’S STRONG”. Really cigarette smokey animalic opening. I believe that this is more polarizing to other people as opposed to the Original Yosi Break. Still smells great, but more ideal for the cold and rainy season. It to an extent shocked me, but fits its name as a “Kanto Version” because it will remind you how cigarettes smell like in eskinitas. The drydown is a lot more calm than the initial opening wherein you notice the mass appeal of the original flanker, but still has the strong masculine touch of the cigarette. This is a like for me because I think this would be something that could choke me if I accidentally oversprayed it, compared to my other Parfums Astraux fragrances. Plus, I prefer the mass appeal “safeness” Yosi Break has. Although this flanker to me is worth owning due to its artistic execution and being a part of the tobacco collection. My Tita also mentioned that it still smells good, but sees that a cisgender man would appreciate it a lot more. While I thought really masculine men, smokers, or former smokers would appreciate this better. I understand her sentiments because this one is really something else in a good way, because I can say with certainty that I have fragrances I hate. I do not feel that way towards this, and in case anyone else hates this— it only means that it is not for you, but does not deserve the hate for exploring the artistic boundaries of what local fragrances can offer.

I just got this today—the 2026 formulation—and it immediately stood out to me. If you’ve smelled Yosi Break before, this comes across as a more potent and noticeably more animalic take on that DNA. It leans deeper and rougher around the edges, giving it a more daring and less crowd-pleasing profile. The smokiness doesn’t hit you right away; instead, it gradually reveals itself in the later stages, especially during the dry down, where it becomes richer and more pronounced. To me, this feels like an elevated version of the original, but not necessarily designed for mass appeal. It trades some of that easy likability for character and intensity, which makes it more niche and interesting. Unfortunately, only 20 bottles were released this year, which makes it even more frustrating for anyone who might want to get their hands on it. It definitely feels like a collector’s piece rather than something widely accessible. easy 8.5/10

Got mine today. Very similar sa overall smell sa original YB but a little stronger sa ashy/smoky feel. Naisip ko actually from smelling the cap and the atomiser is parang ashtray siya, like it is that smoky haha. The candy-like sweetness from the original is also toned down making the overall scent a wear little heavier (?) for me. The original kasi has a strong sweetness that balances out the tobacco, this one dials up the tobacco and tones down the sweetness. For me mas potent yung scent YB pero siguro dahil macerated na yung juice compared to the flanker. Speaking of the juice, it's very oily--same with any Parfums Astraux fragrances I have in my collection. For the perfomance I have to rest mine muna and let it macerate for a week or two.
