Galloway

This cologne was a total surprise. its beauty lies in its subtle and clean floral sillage that gently radiates from the body. Backstory: I was on the hunt for a new summer freshie. My search started with Fierce, which I almost blind bought, and I'm glad I didn't. When I tried it in the store at the mall it was gone in an hour. I was all but certain I would make up for this by buying Percival, which is known for being a very long-lasting, Fierce-like freshie. What I found interesting was reviews on Percival often include comments on PdM's other fresh fragrance, Galloway. nonetheless I headed to Nordstrom with the intention of buying Percival. I'm at the counter and sprayed Percival on the left wrist and Galloway on the right wrist for good measure. at first Percival was too sweet to my nose, like some other blue fragrances. I realized why people think this is "generic", but it really smells great in the dry down. I test drove these 2 PdMs for two hours as I walked around the mall. The Percival drydown is beautiful as it settles. however the remarkable thing to me was that I kept smelling this lovely, soft swirl of orange blossom and musc around me. The softer Galloway created a more noticeable, and more beautiful sillage, radiating from my body, even though it's a "lighter" scent. Review: though the notes seem simple, the Galloway dry down was not. the peppery orange helps Galloway project for 3 hours, and it never fully fades. Then orange blossom takes the lead, and iris provides a powdery softness, both slowly fading over the next 3 hours, leaving you with a sweetly fresh, airy "second skin" aura in the base. overall I get 6 to 8 hours of longevity. Even at 10+ hours Galloway very subtly lingers. I kept trying to convince myself I wanted Percival (which was also great!) but the fact was undeniable. Galloway unexpectedly won my heart to break the tie. The musc is gorgeous, and not at all animalic. it's creamy, soft and clean. the ever-changing introduction of notes elevates this freshie above most on the market. overall I would rate this 9/10. If this cologne had friends it would be Another 13, Petit Matin, and Neroli Portofino. NOTE: smells nothing like GIT, nor SMW. I own and love the former, and dislike the latter.

A Parfums de Marly underdog. I don't see that many people talking about Galloway, and I'm not sure why. People are saying that it smells boring because there is nothing challenging about it, but just because this frag is well constructed and well balanced in a non-challenging way doesn't mean that it smells boring. You come to Parfums de Marly for good fragrances, not for challenging fragrances. Now let me explain why this frag isn't boring. To begin with, I'd like to express this frag as a bomb that explodes in a uniform distribution of colourful, perfectly balanced shrapnels that harmonize to manifest a redolence that is strong but easy on the nose. I was expecting this frag to begin with a blast of citrus, but it's actually much less citrusy than I thought it'd be. This is a W in my book, because I don't like it when frags are too citrus-heavy. The black pepper is very masculine and disperses throughout the whole wear of the frag despite being labelled as a top note. The musk is very clean and very strong but incredibly smooth and not at all offensive. The orange blossom is heavy and animalic but not in an offputting or revoltingly pungent manner. The iris provides this mass-appealing powderiness but not in a generic manner. The amber is tenuously sweet. This frag has the perfect balance of EVERYTHING and is constructed in a way that is unexpectedly albeit appreciably NOT GENERIC OR BORING AT ALL. To me, the scent of this frag is reminiscent of a mall. Despite the fact that my skin chemistry is suitable for more heavier frags like Kalan, this frag performs great on my skin. I'm attributing this to the use and abundance of expensive raw materials in this frag, especially with the musks (which serve as great fixatives). I think this frag works best at a temperature range of 15°-30°C, with 2-4 sprays depending on your skin chemistry (I typically go with 4). Scent: 9/10 Season and time of day: Best in summer days, summer nights, and spring days. Gender: Masculine Longevity: Moderate (lasts 6 hrs with 4 sprays, tested in 25°C weather) Sillage: Strong (projects 6 feet with 4 sprays, tested in 25°C weather) Price value: Good value (taking into consideration performance, cost of raw materials, and quality of formulation)

I get why people say it’s boring and generic, especially if you’re someone that enjoys bold and unique fragrances. I get why people may expect more from PDM considering it’s a niche house selling fragrances at luxury price points. But can we normalize niche fragrance houses creating high quality well blended simple fragrances without dismissal. Sure you can find a cheaper alternative of this DNA but you get what you pay for... a cheap synthetic smelling composition. Galloway may smell “basic”, “boring”, and “generic” but no one can criticize the high quality this fragrance possesses. We all love a bold and unique, statement making fragrance but we all need a simple understated fragrance in our collection for those boring simple everyday moments in our lives. Like grocery shopping, doctors appointments, going to school or the gym etc. Surely you can’t expect to show up EVERYWHERE wearing oud, spicy, gourmand compositions. That’s tacky and obnoxious. Balance out your collection with a high quality clean, simple and “basic” scent like Galloway. It smells like crisp cleanliness. A very balanced and smooth citrus, musk and wood combo with a spicy opening. It’s not your typical clean fragrance but a luxurious clean scent. Smells like someone who bathes using the most exclusive and expensive bath products on the market and is very healthy and rich 🤑. Smells like a Doctor on their off time. Someone who’s “better” than most people but is still pleasant and humble for the sake of their career and reputation. Smells like someone who smells great NATURALLY... like they smell amazing without wearing a fragrance, just soap and water, deodorant and clean laundered clothes. Performance is great too lasting about 6 to 8 hours with a nice projection a little bit south of 2 feet. Leaves a really nice crisp but warm clean musky sillage. Also 100% genderless. The opening is a tad bit off putting with the spicy pepper, but it fades and blends in with the other notes beautifully mere minutes after spraying. TLDR: don’t be that insufferable fragrance snob who can’t enjoy or at least appreciate a very nice well made simple fragrance. Galloway is a great option if you want to smell clean and luxurious.

So after ordering samples of this a few times, the writing was on the wall, and I ordered a bottle. There are just some fragrances out there that you cannot ignore despite a 'low fragrantica rating' or 'poor reviews'. Galloway seems to be an underdog, and plenty of reviewers say that it is 'not niche' or since it is PDM it 'isn't real niche'. Well, those folks can eat shit. I buy fragrances because they appeal to me, not the brand or the house per se. Maybe, If I was trying to impress people, but no one cares. It is scented water. More often than not, the folks writing fancy-schmancy word vomit are the same schmuckos who fake their entire collection by just clicking 'have it' to hundreds of niche fragrances, then they put down the honest folks who buy clones, cheapies or maybe aren't 'niche snobs' who might only splurge on niche stuff when they deem the fragrance to be worthwhile. I am one of those guys. I love fragrance, and I can afford to buy whatever I want, really. But I try to be realistic. A fragrance has to 'speak' to me somehow. Galloway did. I don't know why, but the DNA just stuck with me. And every time I wore it, I had a smile on my face. Yes, I got positive attention with it on. I tend to get positive attention a lot, because I am a very charismatic person who just enjoys life. This fragrance is uplifting to me...the contrasts of the peppery notes and the musk with the citrus...It just works for me. It isn't a huge performer, I only get about 3-5 hours out of it, and that is ok. What it does, it does well, and I enjoy every minute that I wear it. Isn't that what this fragrance thing is all about? Just enjoying it? There is so much negativity floating around, and I come here to indulge my fragrance hobby because it genuinely makes me happy. Galloway is my kind of happy.

To me, this scent is perfect. Galloway is, and always will be, my signature scent. Its beauty lies in its simplicity; yet it doesn't take its simplicity for granted. Every note and accord is so well done, and the manner in which they are blended leaves traces of intelligence, kindness, and humility. The pepper gives the slightest bit of edge and masculinity to the combination of white florals and the white musk. To me, it's gentlemanly, but in a kind way. In an inviting way. It's so simple. But it's simple done to perfection. It's casual when I need it to be. It's formal when I need it to be. It's sexy when it needs to be. It's friendly when I need it to be. It's perfect for any occasion, literally anytime of the year, and its performance is PERFECT. Every. Single. Time. I get my 3 hours of brilliant projection, followed by my 3-4 hours of really nice projection, followed by a second skin with some additional mmph for the remainder of my day/night. I get a consistent sillage and scent trail throughout the life of the wear, which brings people in (especially if you have a kind, easygoing, charismatic personality. It gets me through my day always, but never overstays its welcome. Compliments have been near endless - this scent is me. Be it across a table while outdoors, or in close quarters with a friend or lover, people pick it out, and people identify me by it. I feel like my best self when I wear Galloway. I am my most interesting. I am my most lively. I am my most confident. I am my most high on life. I will wear this on my wedding day, on the day I become a father, and on the day I give my Oscars speech. Scent: 11/10 Longevity: 10/10 Sillage: 9/10 Projection: 10/10

When I first heard of Parfums de Marly, Percival seemed to be the "in" scent. I first sniffed Percival spray nozzle and loved it, got official sample vial for longer evaluation and it didn't seem to perform well. Among the other samples was Galloway, and despite not being a floral scent lover, I loved this, along with Sedley, over Percival. Someday I hope/intend to include both Percival and Sedley in my inventory, but Galloway is a hidden gem. It's not feminine as florals tend to be, so I'd dig this perfume on women too but it goes well on my skin too. It doesn't seem to project much but does last 8 hrs or more although by then it's a skin scent. Nonetheless, the mild floral and musky dry down is beautiful. PdM prices are what they are, I won't write anything about that, this is my first PdM bottle (excluding sample vials). I got myself a full bottle after sampling the vial, and ordered a vial of Lalique White as well, seeing it a scent regarded as similar to Galloway. Everyone's nose isn't the same so you might perceive it different, but to me they are not identical or very close. They do have similarities - both are fresh, clean white floral smelling, but Lalique White is sweeter, perkier and longevity is lower, say 5 hours. Galloway is also fresh, clean but not as sweet smelling as Lalique White, and definitely smells richer, deeper and classier. Both do well as daily wear and office friendly, if PdM is too expensive for you, Lalique White will fill that fresh white floral scent hole but it's not identical or even very close, I see myself having both if money and closet space permit, I loved both.

So this is an updated review to my previous one from a couple years ago. I am not sure what changed, whether it’s my nose or whether PDM reformulated this, but Galloway is simply a beautiful clean scent, easily ranking as one of their best for me now and quite possibly the brand’s most underrated offering. Definitely flying under the radar compared to hype beasts like Layton. Anyway I just got a newer bottle of this in today, not sure what compelled me to blind buy it (the tester I tried at Nordstrom a while ago had almost a hot soldering iron accord going on), but damn am I glad I did with this one! If you like classy and clean office scents with a mature (but NOT old) vibe, then just get your nose on this! It really smells like the bottle looks, or like a stack of freshly milled white printing paper with a beautiful and refined orange blossom as the main note. I feel the iris is there just to give the whole thing a slightly “dry” feel and not so much to be smelled. If Parfums de Marly made luxury hotel bar soap I would expect it to smell like Galloway. This is just so elegant and I am head over heels in love with this scent and hope it stays in production because it is the perfect daytime office or casual wear fragrance literally any time of the year but leaning towards warmer weather. This might become my favorite next to Percival (the musks used in these two are very similar if not the same). I am so glad that I gave this one another chance and all I can really say is that Galloway simply deserves more love and attention 🤍

First wearing and Im between like and love with this one. Smells fresh, slightly creamy and classy. I get a little bit of Xerjoff Uden with no booze. I also get something that smells like freshly Ironed clothes, not h24 but it did come to mind for a second but this is totally different then both of those scents. You can feel the pepper in the first hours or so but it's not bad. I have a few more wears in this sample so I will come back but I can say this is full bottle worthy. Lasts on skin for 8 hours, projects for 2 of so then calms as time goes on. If you're looking for an elevated work fresh clean scent give this a try. Edit: What everyone says is true, this is a sleeper. Not the most beast mode but it projects for a few hours and stays on skin for ages. Since it focuses on musks I can see why some people don't get along as musk can act differently from person to person, but for me this is perfect. This is in the same vein of fragrance that doesn't offend, clean crisp citrus, laundry, white shirt scent. The color of the bottle kinda portrays the juice inside. For me at this point in my fragrance journey Im most into the easy going clean fragrances. For some reason when I wear these I have women stopping me to tell me how amazing I smell. Im wear fragrance for myself and lean toward uplifting scents which is what this is. I own a bottle of Nishae Nefs and that's for a nice dinner and going out with my wife. Everywhere in between I wear Fresh uplifting scents and this is right up my alley. Full bottle worthy for me for sure.

Stunner. Absolute summer stunner. Spicy/metallic/peppery/musky. It's pretty linear from start to finish. There is a smidge of flowers in there but only up close. Longevity is what you would expect from PDM (My bottle is from 2015). It's not groundbreaking or what you would expect from a niche brand. The edges are very sharp. A little goes a long way with this one and can be cloying if you spray too much. Complements galore. Crisp white fitted tee shirt, mid-thigh chino shorts, and dock shoes. You wear Galloway when you have your s**t together and are enjoying your day off or care-free weekend. Cheers! 12/23/2025 Edit: Wife and I had a Christmas party last night and I wore this. I typically don't wear Galloway in the winter but I was looking for something unique but fresh. One spray on each side of neck and one on my shirt. Done. First comment was from my wife because I sprayed it in our bedroom and it engulfed the entire room. "What the f**k did you spray?"....was her comment. Car ride she had the windows down. Get to the party and start dapping up my friends and giving hugs to the girls. Galloway needs at least 30 minutes to settle down because I started getting the "What are you wearing, it smells good!" complements. Went to the bar for a bourbon and the cute bartender told me I smelled good. Galloway is slept on and I'm 100% ok with it! This sucker is nuclear so be careful with the sprays and let it settle down for at least 30-60 minutes before going anywhere if you're looking to impress anyone!

The scent is sophisticated, intriguing, playful, elegant, flirtatious, and charming. It's a “total” compliment magnet. Damn, it smells great! Wow! It's also entertaining, in a sense that, it takes you on an interesting journey, as it's nowhere near being linear. I kept bopping my head side-to-side to get whiffs all throughout the day. I did not get any compliments, which is something that I cannot expect each time I wear a fragrance. Some people usually notice that you smell great, but they simply don't care to let you know. On sillage... It literally fills up a room. The fragrance triggers nice trails of scent bubbles. I usually have a female friend to test fragrances with, queuing me, by indicating when / if she could smell me after walking by few times, but she was not available today. I had a buddy of mine doing the job for few minutes. Conclusion... This is a wonderful fragrance with superb performance, and I absolutely admire it. I plan to buy a backup bottle, so I have it for a lifetime. It's extrait de parfum concentration, and it's quite strong. You don't need more than four sprays. It also seems versatile, in terms of Seasons. During the Summer, two full sprays should be enough. Though, I recommend nighttime wear during Summer Season. I personally would avoid wearing it during the Summer altogether. This niche fragrance is a masterpiece.

I love this fragrance, in my opinion it is the most underrated in this house. I love it so much that I am choosing to wear it as my wedding scent for a warm spring Florida wedding. The musk and citrus reminds me of a freshly cleaned linen with a sea breeze behind it. The pepper is surprising, and definitely elevates this into a more formal scent. This fragrance is extremely relaxing, anytime I smell it on my skin I immediately calm down. It feels very natural, almost like you are not wearing a fragrance and that you just naturally smell good. Longevity is good, last around eight hours on skin for me. My only issue with this is that I go nose blind to it very easily. It does turn into a skin scent after a few hours. It also does not have the greatest projection. However, I love this so much that I'm going to wear it for my wedding. Leans masculine, but is unisex. This is an excellent summertime and daytime fragrance. It can be an everyday fragrance, casual fragrance, but the pepper definitely elevate it to the point that you can use it for formal occasions. You will likely not enjoy it in cold weather environments, and it does not perform as well in cold. In my opinion, this is my favorite Parfum de Marley fragrance I have smelled.

#532 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I've made clear I love Parfums de Marley as a fragrance house. I've also made clear I'd almost wear cat poo if it had an iris note. I don't know why iris does it for me, but it always does it for me. Galloway has a lot of the right stuff, plus iris, making it for me maybe the nicest citrus freshie ever, most especially as it doesn't have a strong bergamot note, a note that I love but which always gives me a runny nose, or I'd be wearing one of the similars people have mentioned, most of which I've had and ended up giving away. And none of those have an iris note.(one reviewer compared this to Egoiste Platinum and Armaf Legasi. I have both. Not even close.) This is absolutely great for the beach or the gym or any causal day wear. Office? I guess it depends on how formal and what level you're at, but not for me. It's a really simple scent that's clean and fresh. Absolutely impossible that it will offend anyone in any setting and it hangs on till lunch and dinner which few citrus freshies do. But damn it's pricey. Nevertheless, come warmer weather I may still bite the bullet and buy a bottle of this for the Summer.

genuinely hurts me how underrated this is. when talking about parfums de marly, this seems to go under the radar and i don't get it, it's unironically one of my favorite pdm's and hands down my favorite pdm freshie. it's a very musky citrusy scent with a touch of spice and a solid amber and woody backbone. it's simple, yet incredibly smooth and quite flexible, for formal and casual occasions in every season. performance is solid too, i get about 8 hours on my skin with moderate projection. to me it sort of has that clean laundry/bedsheets vibe to it, which i personally love. i think it's the best pdm freshie, better than percival greenley or sedley, which i've all tested, and it's kinda sad to see that this one doesn't get as much recognition as the others. sure, it's not the most innovative scent but so aren't any of the other freshies and they get a lot more talk. plus, i haven't really come across a scent that smells like this/copies this (no, i don't count lalique white, they don't smell the same at all). if you like scents that smell like clean bedsheets, highly recommended, 9/10

In my initial review of Galloway, I expressed my dislike of it due to what I thought was the iris note that made it smell vegetal or earthy. I didn't realize that it is actually the sandalwood (which I generally do not like) that is the culprit but I didn't know it because Fragrantica has annoyingly left it off the notes list. Why, I have no idea since sandalwood plays such a big part in Galloway's scent profile. That said, because my initial opinion of Galloway wasn't positive, I didn't touch the bottle for several months--until tonight. I just opened it and sprayed it on. And my view of it has changed substantially. Given the time to maturate (debatably, "macerate"), the sandalwood has toned down just enough that I'm no longer put off by it. To my nose, it's now less chalky/vegetal and more woody. And so much more pleasant to smell. I like it so much more now and look forward to seeing how it continues to evolve over time. (Interestingly, I'm currently wearing Galloway on one arm and Silver Mountain Water on the other, and they smell surprisingly similar.)

Truly one of the freshest, cleanest fragrances I’ve ever worn. The opening hits with a peppery floral sparkle that, to be honest, isn’t my favorite phase but give it 10 to 15 minutes and it transforms into something genuinely beautiful. What follows is this airy, “fresh paper and clean skin” vibe, like stepping into a bright room filled with sunlight and crisp white linen. The musk here is so clean and pleasant, never loud or screechy. It doesn’t project like a beast, but the drydown is incredibly elegant and it quietly hangs around for hours. It works perfectly on its own, yet it really shines as a layering scent. I especially love pairing it with PDM Percival! The combination is almost magic. I’ve even sprayed it on freshly washed bedsheets and pillowcases when guests are staying over; it makes the whole room smell serene and inviting. To me, this is a clean white‐linen, white T‐shirt, warm‐weather fragrance, and it’s also an excellent choice for the office when you want to smell polished, fresh, and put‐together without overwhelming anyone.

Smells like a really naturally clean person with freshly dry cleaned and iron pressed clothing. Like a professional, or a businessman in a crisp, well tailored suit. Totally non offensive and the ultimate workplace fragrance. Almost doesn’t even smell like a ‘fragrance’ per se... just a really put together, smartly dressed and well groomed person. Doesn’t smell like you’re TRYING to smell nice, you just do due to your immaculate grooming. Completely versatile, inoffensive and genderless. Perfect for someone who works in a professional business like environment. Great underrated fragrance from PdM. SN: MFK GFS is my signature scent and I also own Galloway and I don’t see any similarities between the two. Other than the fact that they’re both clean, fresh fragrances. Outside of that, the scent profile of the two aren’t comparable to my nose AT ALL. GFS is gin and tonic + clean skin musk and Galloway is fresh dry cleaned and pressed clothing + clean skin musk. The comparisons between the two are a far reach.

I like this, very clean, musky, peppery and citrus (with a sort of suede note in the background), in the same family as sedley but different. The surprise sleeper note? Iris, it just adds to the fragrance balancing out the musk, pepper and citrus. I can see the comparisons to lalique white, but ultimately they are not the same fragrance or even inspired by, more like cousins when comparing them side by side, so owning one wont make owning the other redundant. I know that galloway doesn't get much love, but I prefer it to some of their more well known favorites, and is the type of profile that I enjoy. Is it worth picking up at retail price, hell no. Is it worth picking up at discounters for a good price, I would say yes. Edit: Found on fragflex for 198 for the 125 ml, and because of the christmas discount, managed to get it 10% off. So 178 for 125 ml with free shipping, yep I scooped it up. Good thing this fragrance is underrated and priced that way.

As I write and inhale the aroma, it's strongly reminiscent of shaving foam, the blue gel kind. Despite this, the scent possesses more depth and character; however, the initial few minutes are dominated by a heavy dose of spicy citrus notes. It's one of those scents that, when melded with the wearer's skin, exudes a comforting, masculine, and clean aura. I find myself yearning to be embraced by the wearer rather than to wear it myself! If it weren't for its steep price tag, I'd have already secured a bottle immediately. Suitable for summer and spring, day or night—it's truly versatile in my opinion. I find myself yearning to hold my partner close and inhale the scent from his pulse points. While it initially resembled shaving cream, that association completely dissipates by the end. It's akin to the dilemma of 'do I want to be with her or be her,' only in this case, it's 'do I want to wear this or have it on my partner.'

Creamy citrus and musky florals. A lot of people tend to talk about the big 3 freshies from PDM those being Sedley, Percival, and Greenley but, I think this is so great and underrated. This is clean, fresh, and simple but, a lot of people do hate it for that. Many people expect something groundbreaking and ultra unique because it is PDM but, I think niche fragrance snobs need to remember that not everything needs to be a super challenging blend. This is a very nice and simple fragrance that has high quality ingredients. The opening is a little challenging with the pepper and citrus combo that PDM has done horribly wrong before with fragrances like Kalan but this is miles better than the Kalan opening, and it dries to a clean musky floral scent. I think the beauty of this fragrance is in the simplicity and quality. I get 8 hours of longevity and decent projection. Scent: 9/10 Performance: 8/10 Price: 7/10 Overall: 8/10

Such a beautiful fragrance and quite unique. I starts very citrusy with hints of spice, then it develops into a very green, natural iris and orange blossom, then it turns into a very expensive clean/soapy smell and ends in an airy amber note. It has a very impressive projection for about 4 or 5 hours, turns into a skin scent around hour 7 or 8. So yes, it is long lasting. It last forever in soft materials such as linnen. It is perfect for spring/summer. It never turns offensive. It will make you smile everytime you catch a whiff of it. It is amazing for formal occasions and office. It is not very masculine though. So, not for everyone. Not every man can sport the iris. Unfortunately, very underrated. It is a gorgeous fragrance and perfectly made. You can tell they spend a lot of time crafting this. Imo, it is one of the best spring/summer perfumes.

A very clean and fresh scent with a twist! Something in here gives it a spicy or almost incense smell to it but nothing overpowering. Overall, it starts off as a sharp, fresh citrus that quickly turns Slightly spicier and incense comes out a but always keeping its clean base. The dry down which lasts quite a long time on my (six hours) continues to give that musky fresh smell. Not a lot of sweetness in this one which I think differentiates it from a lot of other fresh fragrances. And the citruses in here are balanced out differently with the other ingredients which gives it it’s uniqueness. Overall, I think it’s definitely an underrated PDM as I have never seen any height for it on all the YouTube videos I watch. $200 for 4.2 oz is relatively reasonable for high end fragrance standards given the longevity.

I tend to go for the cold-weather offerings from PDM - love the Exclusifs and others there, and have not really dedicated much of my attention to the fresher options - EXCEPT Galloway. Oh, have mercy! This is clean, sharp, fresh, and WHITE. Gives a perfumed aura for many hours into its wear! On my skin, very good performance. Smooth, and in contrast with that sharpness I've previously referred to, a few minutes into the fragrance, you can already pickup some of the base-heavy nuances. I love the experience this one brings - no idea what comparisons are being made here, all I know it's nothing like Chrome Pure (which I also love). Leans masculine to me, and at discounters, quite a good price for what I got. My 125ml was ~$130.

I am revisiting this scent.... What started out as a 2.5 ounce bottle will morph into a 4.2 oz bottle because this can be signature scented. All seasons. Any occasion. Unisex. Clean. Spiced. Citrus. Its spicy and fresh but lasts a good 10 hours. And its rather simplistic in its composition. Its not a compliment beast because its not super unique but of all the fragrances in the spicy fresh lane its just a top contender. I put this above FDB london spice, above Creed santal, and below l-mmensite from LV because that one just has this sparkle to the mixture that gives it a little more emphasis. When you couple it with the low prices on the Grey market, its a no brainer. 4.7/5 overall in the spicy fresh lane

For me, this is the perfect mix of a scent I actually love wearing and something that has insane mass appeal. Usually, you have to choose between a "boring" crowd-pleaser or something "challenging" that only you like, but Galloway hits that sweet spot perfectly. It’s actually crazy how people react to this one. It’s not just a "you smell nice" kind of vibe; it literally leaves people stunned. I’ve had people catch a whiff while walking through the parking lot and just freeze for a second, like their brain totally short-circuited. It’s got this weird power where it completely takes over someone’s senses from a distance, in the best way possible tho. Worth every single digit.

I’ll start by saying that Galloway is a very underrated creation by Parfums De Marly. The combination of citruses, musk, and iris in this fragrance creates a very clean and professional scent. The black pepper adds a nice touch without being overwhelming. It’s inoffensive, and I’d say it’s a great office scent. In fact, you can pull this off on many occasions, whether formal or informal. It may not be ideal when it’s too cold, but that’s usually the case with most citrusy fragrances. The longevity is very good; I applied three sprays on my neck and got over 7 hours. The sillage isn’t too strong, but it’s there and noticeable, which is why it’s a good choice for the office.

I'm lucky enough to have this as a sample, and my judgement on it is more out of line than at least what the note votes are. Out of the gate, I get a blast of pepper, with a slight hint of orange. I don't directly smell musk, but I can feel it smoothing out the edges of the pepper. It's a very sophisticated scent, almost what I would imagine the stereotypical C-Suite employee to smell like on a day to day. I haven't had a chance to test it in weather outside of winter because of where I live, but by summer I should have a full bottle and be able to follow up on how it changes with warmer climate and what the longevity is.

this is the ultimate fresh clean neutral fragance you can buy, for all occasions, innofensive , still gets compliments from women, specially your closest and beloved ones. you guys forget the goal of putting fragance, you dont expect to smell different unique , you expect to smell good . amber , musk , pepper and some florals are the scent profiles that trigger and enhance human pheromones, you mix the fragance with your own natural smell, the more neutral and fresh the fragance the better. most of pdm worth buying over their clones. you cant beat this brand on longevity and quality

This one is special, I’ve tried two times first time with a little 3ml decant, then i got it in a 15ml one, availability in my country for this fragance is kind of limited and way overpriced. For the fair price like a reliable discounter is a no brainer, huge compliment getter and a very masculine, clean and musky fragance great for every day use but definitely not for cold weather it just doesn’t keep up, for me projection was pretty good for the first couple of ours an then it starts to tone down but progressively if that makes sense, longevity is amazing for me 10+ hours easy

Just got my bottle.....Call me crazy but this is my favorite freshie out of the PDM house. At discounters this is worth every damn penny. Bight citrus opening, transitions to something creamy smooth and almost pillowy, peppery touches, with a dash of Iris that doesn't add a powdery feeling (thank god) and fades into a slight amber on the deep dry down. Projects enough to keep it classy and lasts all day (8+ hours on skin and longer on clothing). God I cant believe I slept on this. I loved me some Sedley but it's taken a back seat to this juice.

Having a decant made me feel that something was lacking when it was emptied... Now I'm awaiting my bottle of Galloway to arrive, perfect as the spring is starting to inject some life into Stockholm, haha! Being such a fresh, open and versatile scent I wonder how it layers...does anyone from our community any experience from the scent as a base to; "Layton" "Percival" "Green Irish Tweed" "Himalaya" to the long shot "Oud Wood" or any other fragrances, either as a base or a top? Galloway was one of my first PDM purchases, yet, ironically, I don't love it. I like the citrus-musk combination, but the iris gives it an unnecessary and unfortunate vegetal / earthy accord. It doesn't seem to serve any purpose except to differentiate it from other fragrances in the same genre, but there were better notes PDM could have used. Instead, that note ruins the entire scent for me. I will still wear it but it hasn't been, and isn't likely to become, my first reach for any occasion.

Galloway is one of the most underrated, if not the most underrated fragrance from Parfums de Marly in my opinion! Perfect for spring/summer days with a masterful blend of bergamot, pepper, then florals like iris and orange blossom and a base of musk, amber and sandalwood that gives Galloway some warmth. I see this as the ideal gentleman's counterpart to Valaya as they both feature orange blossom and musk! Definitely need a full bottle in my collection! The perfumer is Michel Girard.

Underrated. The note breakdown lacks heliotrope and almond which I pick up with my nose. This is a unique twist on white floral DNA, best suited for professional environments during warmer weather. Has character and depth with pepper, spices, and almost an 'almond milk' accord. I can see why people say they get an olfactory connection to freshly printed paper, but this one is my go-to for my summer professional wear. Longevity - projects 2-3 hours and skin scent for 8 or so. 9/10

Comment from a woman: My boyfriend wears this and I love it. Its sweet, fresh and clean all at the same time, without it being offensive. Great for everyday wear, especially spring and summer time. It feels multilayered and well blended. Every sniff unlocks new depth which is a great achievement for any perfume. Sits close to the skin with medium projection but great longevity. I can see a guy wearing this at the office but also at the beach, very versatile. Marly did it again!

Honestly one of the better fragrances from the PDM house.. this is so slept on it wasn’t until as of recent myself I revisited it and remembered what a fun peppery, citrus, soft musk kind of fragrance this is.. it gives off that clean feeling without doing blue shower gel as well .. wow definitely will keep this bottle in rotation for life .. simple as that 9.5/10 (would be 10/10 but longevity is to be desired)

Summer and hot days. Very citrusy with a strong touch of powder. Longevity is like 3-4 hours, projection up to 1,5 meters/5feet. I received many compliments, and until now no negative reaction. It seems to me everybody likes it. But, it may not be for you. Two of my friends tested it a couple of times and experienced a very bad smell on them selves. So test it. Very expensive, short lived, very citrusy.

Citrus, pepper, iris, and orange blossom, four of my favorite notes! This was my first Parfums de Marly (PDM) fragrance and my first niche blind buy. I knew I would like it, but I absolutely love it. It is, without a doubt, the most underrated PDM fragrance in the market. This scent deserves more appreciation. It is not simple and is rich in complexity. It’s a pure masterpiece and an underrated GEM.

Beautiful dry down ending with orange blossom, iris, and musk. However Galloway starts with a formidable blast of pepper that lasts for a couple hours. After that it's smooth sailing as the sneezy pepper becomes soft and fluffy. If you've not worn it through the entire dry down then you haven't experienced Galloway.The sillage is at its height 2+ hours into the dry down, a true eau de parfum. 9/10

Sleeper fragrance. It isn’t hyped like the other freshies from pdm. This is slightly watery, refreshing, sweet and musky. It is more musky than anything to me with the sweetness and spice supporting the musk. Solid daily driver. I enjoy this a lot. May need to re apply mid way through the day as it will quieten down a little. That and the price point are the only drawbacks.

The most underrated and versatile scent in the PDM Line or in any line for that matter. The other reviews are spot on for a basic description: Fresh laundry, clean, classy, luxurious, comforting and very inoffensive. This is a fragrance you can never go wrong picking up and has honestly grown to be my favorite fragrance for really hot spring/summer/tropical days.

Let me tell you... Galloway by Parfums de Marley is a hidden gem within the brand's illustrious lineup, often overlooked but deserving of recognition. Certain words, combined with a scenery, pops up in my mind whenever i smell this one. Words: Class, integrity, purity, sophistication. Scenery: I envision mythical beings, like dryads or greek gods, wearing white togas, male and female, tall, stunning, casually roaming a sacred, fairytale-like garden without a care in the world.

I was having second thoughts because I was afraid Galloway would be too masculine for a woman since I don't really see reviews here from women, but eventually purchased it blindly. I'm glad I did. I actually love it ! It smells fresh, clean, unique and really nice. I think Women can really wear Galloway, it's not too masculine.

Awesome frag. So clean and classy. High quality, inoffensive. Great choice for a signature scent. The bottle captures the juice perfectly. Gorgeous white musk with a dash of pepper to keep it professional, and a splash of orange blossom to make it fresh and fun. So simple but so good. Banger.

How to describe it to those who have not smelled it: take Sel d'Issey EDP (fresh water and warm base with nothing in between), add pepper and lemon to fill the gap: you get Galloway I think. I love it but wish that it lasted longer. After one hour, it is noticeably fainter...

Galloway is unexpectedly beautiful in high heat. Thought it died down? Thought it would be too heavy? Go outside and it gently swirls around you again, coming to life with you. A summertime stunner that goes unseen, Galloway might be my favorite summer fragrance of all time.

Eternal on clothes. Best PDM. Not your standard white musk scent. The iris leans more on the orris root side, earthier and less powdery. (Similar to FN Fabulous’ orris). If you don’t like FN fabulous because of that punchy, slight gasoline orris, you won’t like this.

Very underrated fragrance. A real masterpiece. Very masculine in my opinion, the musk and citrus is blended perfectly. I would wear this during summer/spring. Performance is also great despite being a fresh scent. Maybe slightly overpriced but I think it's worth it.

I'm so glad this didn't get a lot of traction and I got to gatekeep it xD. It's one of the best citrus/fresh fragrances out there. Every ingredient seems so natural. The iris in this is so beautiful and green-ish. The drydown is amazing. Perfect for spring/summer.

I just got a 2ml from my Mall's niche fragrance store, and I love this shit so much. The lemon is polarizing and bright, while the pepper breaks out as well, I would sell everything but two of my other fragrances for a full 4.2 ml of this
