Cavatina

I went to the garden centre with my dad this weekend, and chose a small pot of lily-of-the-valley. It is coming into bloom at this time of year, and in my pot, the little white bells are emerging from their tiny green buds. Their distinctive clean, green-tinged white floral scent, innocent rather than carnal, encouraged me to buy it. I chose Cavatina from my Dusita discovery set today at random, only to discover that it is a lily-of-the-valley scent, as crisp and clean as the bells in my new pot. Cavatina draws obvious comparisons with Diorissimo, the original and never-bettered lily-of-the-valley scent. It is almost a soliflore, but here the muguet is enhanced to perfection by other notes playing second fiddle. Cavatina (a musical term meaning "simple air") opens with lush, creamy white florals. I get tuberose initially, rounded out by jasmine, but after a short time, the muguet becomes dominant, green, clean and slightly waxy. The other white florals serve to enhance it, and the bergamot adds a hint of freshness. It is perfectly judged - every note plays its part. As it develops, it becomes more powdery, with rose emerging in the backbone. Muguet remains king, but the rose serves to complement it here. Some ylang ylang adds sweetness as it develops further, but it is restrained. Cavatina becomes musky as it dries down, sweetened by just the right amount of dry vanilla. Soft woody notes ground it here. It fades to a musky skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is feminine, best worn in spring. Aptly named, Cavatina is a simple, melodious scent, bright and beautifully rendered. As the lily-of-the-valley note must be synthesised in a lab, it is a testament to the skill of Pissara Umavijani, given how accurate and realistically it is rendered here, not to mention how it is enhanced by the other well-chosen, perfectly-placed notes. A modern perfume in a classical style, this is a worthy successor of Diorissimo. Excellent. 4.5/5.

I’ve had the opportunity to wear Cavatina yesterday. I spent the day in my garden planting zinnias, coleus, cosmos and gladiolas. I made three bouquets of purple and white lilac, weeded and raked. Through all this activity Cavatina projected like a diva and stayed with me—a full five hours of toiling in the dirt. And that’s kind of unusual for a Dusita perfume as I have a hard time making it to the three hour mark with many others from this brand (Erawan and Splendris). Granted, this perfume felt more formal, but Lily of the valley often goes that way. I always associate this flower and scent with Easter and my catholic mother. Beyond its religious connections (white being purity, Mary’s tears, etc) Lily of the valley heralds the birth of spring and death of winter. The opening is fresh and citrusy thanks to the addition of bergamot and other notes I can’t identify (there are other flowers in this composition but I only identify lily of the valley). There’s also an exotic feeling to the mix, I’m not sure what Siam smells like but it could be that combined with Ylang? Dry down brings out a mellow vanilla and and some warm wood notes. Pissara handles florals like a maestro, the perfectly named Cavatina fits nicely in the Dusita repertoire of lush florals. For fans of this flower, you are in for an olfactory treat.

This one is beautiful, my first by Dusita. It’s a lot like Diorissimo but gentler and less pungent. The notes are elegant and remind me of spring with its distinctive white floral notes. It is definitely well-composed and balanced, and maintains a beautiful balance through to the dry down. I read in an article somewhere how true lily of the valley is so hard to capture, and this fragrance was applauded for succeeding in that. It doesn’t last more than 3 hours for me though, unfortunately- but I did use a dabber and I got my sample from a third party. The only drawback is that to my (disclaimer: very amateur) nose, it lacks the wildness that Diorissimo has, that sometimes I miss. It reminds me more of a home scent vs a truly outdoors scent- kind of like a painting of beautiful scenery with swans but without the reality of actually being out there. But I think that also makes it more delicate in a way, otherworldly, and a much safer scent. While I prefer wilder interpretations, this is a beautiful and quality one. I have a feeling the more I wear this and get to know it, the more I might grow to love it and want to get a full bottle.

This is super lovely! Near where I live, there's this beautiful natural forest preserve and, in May, the entire ground is blanketed by lilies of the valley in the wild. The smell walking through that place is intoxicating--both for the concentrated muguet and the way the flower intermingles with greenery, wood, and dirt. The muguet note in Cavatina has some of this greenness, while still feeling like a "fleshy" "3D" muguet--like picking up a stem of them and inhaling the waxy little bell-like flowers up close on an outdoor walk. There's also a beautiful citrusey aspect to this that makes it feel unisex. Much like Le Labo's Tubereuse composition is actually a long lasting eau de cologne type formula with a fleshy tuberose heart, Cavatina feels like a beautiful muguet note amplified over a background of eau de cologne freshness. Definitely worth a look for fans of the genre, and even for folks (like me) who really love the smell of muguet but have a hard time finding a muguet scent that works well on them.

Okay... I didn’t expect myself loving this fragrance! I don’t normally enjoy white floral perfumes. LOTV and jasmine typically give me headache and make me nauseous. I got a few Dusita samples and have been testing them currently. When I first tried Cavatina, I thought it is just another white floral centered perfume without giving me headache. But after the second and the third time tested on my skin under hot weather, I could not stop breathing in this alluring scent I was wearing! It is so well-balanced and elegant. I think the hint of citrus at the top and the base sandalwood make all the difference. Quality is excellent! When I am wearing it, I feel like a bunch of airy but vibrant white flowers dancing in front of me. A more subtle type of scent on my skin that last about 4-5 hours. White floral lovers, this one is a must try!

Luxurious creamy white flowers encompassed with subtle rose nuances and the most amazing sandal. Quite reminiscent of Accento Overdose from Xerjoff (another white floral masterpiece) only without the fruity accord. Some people say there is something dated about Cavatina... maybe 60’s or 70’s... I definitely can understand what they are saying... most of Pissara Umavijani creations are classical timeless masterpieces that shouldn’t be interpreted in terms of time... they have to be appreciated for their beauty, their simplicity, and the stories they represent... Cavatina is a hymn to human compassion and joie de vivre. Although marketed as unisex this perfume is quite feminine... I don’t mind it, I love it!! Longevity is moderate and projection is intimate. Simply addictive!!

Reviewing a bottle from 2024. Cavatina was launched in 2021. Photorealistic dewy and fresh lily of the valley. This opens with soft bergamot and creamy white florals. As the citrus fades the lily of the valley opens up fully. Ambrette supports the florals with a touch of bitterness from the siam. Gently indolic in the drydown .Sandalwood and vanilla are barely there. Pissara understands florals and is not afraid to use them in their natural narcotic form. Quality- excellent 5/5 Feminine Performance- stays close but lasts. 4/5 Simple but beautiful delicate natural white florals without sugary synthetics or overbearing musk as has become the norm. If you like Lilly of the Valley give this a try. It is a good alternative to vintage Diorissimo. 8/10

I love white florals. However, Lily of the valley is a note that I have avoided like the plague. Whenever I encountered her, she was loud, soapy, nauseating, and overwhelming everything else in her path. But this! Cavatina is stunning. I didn't even know lily of the valley could manage to be beautiful but here playing with all the other notes, she's sparkling, fresh, green and exactly like coming across a real life white flower blooming. I had a sample so I tried it purely out of curiosity. Wow. I actually love this. ♥️ All the florals together create: honeysuckle! Honeysuckle is one of my favorite flowers, and I've been looking for a honeysuckle forward perfume for years. This is it.

ETA: I am so thankful for this beautiful, light, sophisticated perfume. It's a counter-balance to all the loud stinky amberwood/ambroxan bombs that I can't seem to escape. I bought the full bottle and will soon purchase a back-up. Light and fresh lily of the valley - an immediate mood pick-me-up and perfect for spring and summer. It's very light to my nose and lasted about 3 hours on my skin. Almost immediately skin scent territory. I'm a big LOTV fan so this natural and light interpretation was perfect for me. I don't get much of the woody drydown but there us the faintest whisp of vanilla underneath. I need a full bottle!

This is a Diorissimo that could be easily worn by a man. It is rich, mossy, earthy with green stems and forest floor. Lily-of-the-valley floats on top of all this. I treated myself to a Dusita discovery set of 9+3 samples, and so far I can say that, while the compositions are not necessarily novel, they are all of a stunning quality of raw materials and solid craftsmanship (or should I say craftswomanship?). It's a good thing Dusita included a 40€ gift voucher with the discovery set, Pissara must know very well that after I am through the set, I will come back for at least one small full bottle.

Green and bracing, then the flowers take over and it becomes a bit heavenly, then beautiful, beautiful! The tuberose I feared barely shows up. But where can I wear this? Do I dare wear this to work? I'd like a full bottle, but not until I figure out how Cavatina fits into my life. Formal dinners? Weddings? Days off? If you thought Erawan, Fleur de Lalita or Melodie de L'Amour were well made but couldn't stand some of their notes (I struggle with oakmoss, galbanum, and tuberose, respectively) take a chance on a sample and get past the opening.

I could mention all of the other lily-of-the-valley fragrances that have come before, but this is the most beautifully soft, elegant and refined, like all of Pissara’s work. Catarina is about understated muguet quality, that’s photorealistic, classic and romantic. There’s a gentle green acidic note which replicates the freshly cut flower stem aroma. Cavatina is the perfect white floral bridal scent as it has demure feminine purity. Put this at the top of your favourite white floral fragrances.

Cavatina is a beauty! Effortless, natural, demure and elegant. Very feminine in the most graceful way. It's a bit bitter at first and it gives this perfume a bit of youthfulness, later sets to a soft LOTV fragrance. It doesn't seem outdated to me, I see the vintage inspiration behind it, but it is quite fresh, subtle, would even be suitable for a girl, in my opinion. +

Gorgeous and green. Has a vintage vibe but feels very relevant. I don’t get a ton of jasmine in the first several hours. The jasmine appears toward the end, the sunset of the fragrance. Another stunner from Dusita. Edit, Feb. 2024. Finally sprang for a full bottle. It is dreamy and worth every penny.

Delicate and beautiful. Outstanding longevity: 12 hours later I can still smell it. It almost plays the same music as Diorissimo but it is softer, greener, it exudes a misty warmth that is nothing but ellegance and grace. Absolutely divine.

A realistic walk through a spring garden. Not complex but uplifting. Subtle, a bit "clean" in a way that makes it feel a little like it's meant for an aristocratic teen. Not me but I will enjoy my samples.

Such an interesting jasmine fragrance. At first I thought it's just another perfume, but after trying it a few times on my skin, I slowly fell in love with it

Cavatina Parfums Dusita (2.5 ml. vial from brand promotional event, thank you) Miss Pissara Umavijani always care for our community fragrance in Thailand. Time to time, she will held local event and kindly send the 3 vials via postal mail service. So we can humbly enjoy the scent alone in private, I am truly appreciate. To be honest, our Thailand fragrance community doesn't really mature much. Same as most community, they are strong discussion that might get emotional. But most of the time, when it come to knowledge, we don't hold back on sharing. That being said, I find Cavatina genius and un-expecting of Lily of the Valley scent. As this is rendered in floral bouquet format that make lily of the valley stay really long time. It is delicate and hyper-attentive to details. Mugget or Lily of the Valley doesn't have scent so Mugget scent mostly construct using Jasmine with other aroma-chemical to kind of push the strong aroma of Jasmine down, into little floral. "Diorissimo" was is the blue print of this genre, even in late generation still beautiful (imho). In this "Cavatina"; reinterpreted using Jasmin Sambac with a slight touch of Tuberose. To create strong white floral backbone, the haze out with musk and floral-aquatic material. Another brilliant point; it seems to borrow indolic from ylang-ylang instead. As there is soft fruity tone; banana like mingle in soft powdery manner at the back of the scent. Everything is dial back to support this Lily of the Valley scent. It is really beautiful work and there is twist that this doesn't really wear too green. It is lily of the valley predominant, and I find that quality is exceptional. Another point is it has slight floral bouquet feel to it. I personally enjoy the scent when it develops as Floral Bouquet. When you could sniff certain nuance from certain time. (When skin push Tuberose, when skin push Ylang-Ylang, when skin push Jasmin). It is more fun to the nose. There is a few in genre: Mugget Porcelain, Diorissimo and Lucky. Now, Mugget starts being pushed to be support tone (floral-aquatic material) like Chanel 1957 or Guerlain Musc Outreblanc. I didn't really wear Lily of the valley now (exception of 1932 eau de toilet because I really like soft carnation tone). But if anyone looking for a good Lily of the valley scent (which doesn't really have much in the market). I can highly suggest Cavatina; this is milestone for modern Mugget. (To be honest... I don't want you guy to compare this to Lucky as that is really a thin.. and not much details).

The easiest of Dusita's that I have worn (of my seven 10ml samples). And nope, nope, nope... this is NOT in the least evocative of Erawan (which for me, is a HUGE thank goodness). Green to start, drying to a most elegant, citrusy floral and so delicately rosey sillage (I am generally not a fan of rose, but it is sprinkled into the edges here so masterfully!), perfectly seated atop the most stable and firm pillow of supportive base notes leaning most heavily toward to Siam, as best as I can tell. Tons of muguet (almost wish it was just a tad lighter in this aspect) and does carry a freshly scrubbed soapy vibe; not getting much vanilla, tho? - I think a deep dark, sticky, resinous vanilla would be perfectly amazing to layer to this!? But 100%, if you are searching for a muguet fragrance, this could very well be it! It's a very safe and easy fragrance for social dressier moments as showers, weddings, bright summer cocktail parties, outdoor plays, and fancier picnics. However, this would not be my choice for an intimate one-on-one dinner or night out on the town... undecided it's FBW for me, however, it's assuredly a safe blind buy if you are looking for the fragrance to compliment your social bougie soirée!

The combination of fleur de oranger and Dusita’s base accord is unexpectedly beautiful. The top notes faithfully replicate the crispness of jasmine green tea. The heart evolves into the structure of Le Labo’s Hong Kong exclusive(Bigarade 18)---- bitter orange, and jasmine blend, layered over Dusita’s intoxicating Thai massage oil-inspired base. The drydown reveals an enduringly pleasant, slightly powdery woody texture accentuated by hints of pink pepper and incense. Any orange blossom fragrance that achieves this level of translucent aquatic clarity—capturing the "dewy, fleeting romance" aspect of the note—deserves to be called among ''Top neroli/fleur de oranger" in my book. This ingredient, much like the first love of life, remains effortlessly charming; it’s nearly impossible to pair it poorly. On the other hand, the sillage and longevity pale in comparison to Le Labo Hong Kong, which boasts the most potent and long-lasting projection in the entire Le Labo line. In contrast, Cavatina feels like a gentle breeze—a pure, ethereal moonlight of a fragrance. Rating: 7/10

I adore lily of the valley as a note; if done right, I find it can be one of the most mesmerising and enchanting notes in all of perfumery. There are many great Lily of the valleys, and whilst this isn’t a bad one, there is much better out there. The accord itself is constructed well, it smells perfectly green and dewy in balance with the clean white bubblegummy-soapiness. Jasmine and citrus give the scent some lift, whilst an interesting dryness seems to be emanating from the ambrette and ‘tea rose’ which is almost a little earthy. It’s a good Lily of the valley, that much can’t be denied, but it’s still not a patch on Diorissimo, which is cheaper. Personally I don’t feel the addition of this dry earthiness is a positive one, in my opinion I think the beauty of Lily of the valley is in its simplicity.

- Pollen -like. I’ve heard of this phrase a couple of times and finally understand what it smell like. It smell like Cavatina . This is a powdered (NOT powedery), live-vegetal scent with faintest hint of bitterness , and undoubtedly floral (perhaps because of the muguet behind?), hence differentiate itself from that medicinal-powder-in-capsule kind of scent I encountered in several other “pollen” perfume. And this pollen is floating on the clearest, the most transparent “water” note I’ve ever experienced. Far from your usual calone-infused “aquatic” note, this “water” feels airy and natural, add just a touch of moisture to the pollen, instead of overwhelming it. That’s just about it. Not much development, this scent is simple and beautiful like a haiku for spring.

"She was so, so beautiful Beautiful just to hold In my dreams she was spring time Winter was cold" -from the song "Cavatina" by Stanley Myers Gentle and whispery white floral. Elegant to the point of being above reproach, but not unfriendly. The magic happens about 25 minutes into this fragrance when things heat up and the edges of the notes all soften. The tartness of the bergamot blends with bell-shaped lily-of-the-valley blossoms. Sandalwood, ambrette, and jasmine add some sensuality and maturity. Cavatina is pristine. Absolutely no sharpness. Just lovely. Soft with low sillage.

What an interesting green opening. Stems and leaves and white flowers just beginning to bud, weather is still wet and a bit cool. Almost like I'm chewing on lime skin it's so bitter. Then more florals. White flowers. Rose for sure. This is what it smells like after pulling leaves off stems to arrange flowers in a vase of water. Softens and settles into something beautiful - kind of herbal, slightly sweet, and powdery, still floral. It is VERY strong. Spray sparingly... and I did get a couple of compliments the first time I wore it out.

This is a very beautiful LOTV perfume. I have tried it a few times, and each time it takes me back to a lovely houndstooth bottle of Diorissimo that I used to own. I really like the citrus in the top notes, and the LOTV is nice, a little soapy. I find a lot of Dusita fragrances to be soapy, even Issara, but since I like that effect it works for me. I get a touch of oakmoss in the drydown. I think anyone who had or has a passion for vintage Diorissimo should really try this.

Most realistic lily of the valley I've tested so far. I still need to try Diorissimo (but aren't there some controversies about recent reformulations?), but compared to some other soliflores, including Oriza Legrand, this one is much less synthetic leaning and also more affordable. A well done lily of the valley is not that easy to find, as it can't be extracted naturally. Dusita is an uncomplicated soliflore though, so it's only great if you're looking for exactly that.

Sparkling lily-of-the-valley. At first, a dance of citrus and white flowers; more specifically, a Waltz of the Snowflakes: sweet, light, fresh, and white. After a few hours, the base notes take center stage, leaving behind a skin scent of powdery, creamy lily-of-the-valley and vanilla. Cavatina is an elegantly feminine delight, an ivory Madame Grès gown, pure and strong.

Opened with a soft jasmine and tuberose. Didn’t catch any bergamot. Within minutes my skin sucked up the perfume dry. The on clothing spray gave off mainly lotv and some yy notes. Sorry no roses. I was drawn to this perfume from the name which is the same as a song I love. Unfortunately this is a like but not a love from me. The performance leaves a bit to be desired.

The smell of a spring garden after the rain, when you sit next to a large bed of lilies of the valley. Incredibly realistic. Very green, floral, moist and fresh. In the summer heat it is as beautiful as in spring. The best and most vibrant lilies of the valley I have ever seen. Plus a little sandalwood.

The opening was a bit too green for my taste, but once it dries down a bit and the lily-of-the-valley starts coming out, it's really quite magical. Smells very realistic, like walking through a blooming garden in spring.

- LOTV and jasmine, an old combination that Dusita has brought to life. It's fresh and zesty. Smells luxurious.

To my nose, lily of the valley is overpowering in general-- a metallic crack of a floral whip. I do love the note, but if it is the focus of a perfume, it takes over and my nose reads nothing but muguet. I also feel everyone tries to put their own spin on Diorissmo. All these things in Cavatina are no different: it IS beautiful but it does smell like most quality LOTVs. I guess I need to save up and hunt for a bottle of Tauer's Carillon pour un ange, a hopefully new take on lily of the valley.

The opening is a flourish of sparkling green florals: a champagne fizziness, fresh cut flower stems, and a rather indolic jasmine. I never really get much of the base notes coming in, I suppose it's the sandalwood that impacts this weird undertone of powderiness to my nose that gives me vibes of Angelique Noire (though they are otherwise dissimilar). It's okay but I'm not a big fan. Strong initial projections settles slightly over 2-3hr, longevity 6-8hr.

Opens with a complex, watery blend of fresh florals, with lily of the valley standing head and shoulders above the rest. Over the next few hours, the rose, Ylang-ylang, tuberose jasmine and a touch of ambrett become more noticeable but all behind the lily of the valley. When the sandalwood and possibly siam ( not sure I can identify it) begin to appear, it is creamy and beautiful

This one smell so similar to Erawan. It smells like the more feminine version. She put more florals in the base of the Erawan to create Cavatina and called it a day. While not a bad perfume it is nothing special in my mind. Very citrus and lily of the valley soap smelling.

Another indolic white floral from Pissara, reminiscent of other offerings from the brand. Light, fresh, metallic, soapy musky white floral. Moderate performance, maximum of 3h on my skin with soft projection.

It is very heavy on lily on the valley, very!

This smells a little too much like plants, soil and stems for me to really appreciate it. I find myself asking, do I really want to smell like literal plants, soil and stems???? No, not a all. Especially for that price tag. I prefer the greenness in Erawan a bit more. It's more so green and comforting and doesn't resemble plant soil in my opinion.

Green, vegetal and bitter. My least liked Dusita, probably one of my least liked fragrances ever.

I've just received a set of Dusita samples and I will review them one by one. As a musician, obviously I have to begin with Cavatina. As other reviewers have correctly observed, this is a heady white floral, perfect for those who adore lily-of-the-valley. The first blast is very very VERY floral and luminous, almost like Amarige (sans the aldehydes), but lily-of-the-valley quickly emerges as the most prominent note. So, to borrow musical terminology: lily-of-the-valley sings the aria, the rest of the white and yellow flowers join in the chorus, and the musky base notes provide instrumental accompaniment. On the other hand, if you prefer a merger of musical terms with a comparison to some well-known fragrances from the past, the exposition of Cavatina resembles Amarige; the development reminds us of Diorissimo, and the recapitulation evokes (sadly discontinued) Narciso Rodriguez L'Eau, because the LOTV and other flowers are gradually overtaken and 'silenced' by musks. As we have learned from Matvey Yudov's excellent articles, the smell of LOTV can not be extracted directly from the flowers, but has to be recreated in the laboratory; and it takes a skilled perfumer to be able to do justice to this elusive note. I'm really impressed by Ms. Umaviani's photorealistic recreation of LOTV. Although this perfume is very strong in the beginning, after a few hours it becomes a gentle skin scent, which leads me to believe that it is not packed full of nasty chemicals. I would say that Cavatina is perfect for romantic and very feminine women who adore this slightly retro olfactory aesthetic.

At first I wasn't that impressed by Cavatina, just because I have such high expectations for Dusita perfumes based on others' opinions - it opens up like a traditional green lily of the valley soliflore. But as its wearing, I understand its special qualities. It takes you back, and from smelling it I can recall the descriptions of Diorissimo that I have read. I think this is the closest you can get to smelling the original Roudnitska, because any thing vintage will have turned. Cavatina is innocent and bright up top, but with a real warm fleshiness underneath. Fleshy like flower petals, and also fleshy like warm human skin. The scent itself is not unique, but the execution is flawless. Sweet, transparent but with a solid presence that you can smell around you, not oily or perfumey, gentle and peaceful. Jasmine is joining the duet, but without any of the oiliness that a strong jasmine note can have - it's just clean and bright. I think that's the main difference between this and say a Dame soliflore - it's not oily-smelling like a perfume oil, but it's also not fleeting like an EDT would be. Lily of the valley is not my floral of choice, but I think a lot of people I know would enjoy this one. Perfect for spring. I can't wait to smell the rest of the Dusita florals.

The newest release from Dusita took my breath away. First of all, the beautiful little bottle, the cards, the artwork accompanied with every release is just extraordinary. I feel extremely lucky that I get to be part of this. When brands go out their way to make their customers feel so special and so inclusive, it truly makes a difference. It helps form a commection like no other. ✨ Cavatina, the newest from Pissara is a hymn to blooming spring, to human compassion, kindness, and an ode to an iconic vintage, Diorissimo. Sparkling bergamot freshnens the fragrance throughout, but the main stars here are the florals; tuberose, jasmine, and Pissara’s unique blend of a tea rose and muguet accord. If you love lily of the valley, You will fall head over heels for this one. It is such a beautiful, slightly creamy, but overall fresh and sparkling lily scent; truly perfect for the spring crispness. It is pristine, calming, meditative and most importantly; it has a heart. Every Dusita creation has such a close-to nature heart and kindness. This is why I adore it. Cavatina is an ode to the kindess of the heart and the beauty of spring and how those intertwine and make the world a beautiful place. Full of hope. And we can all use that now. ✨

Cavatina is a treatise for lily of the valley and how it is the ultimate floral blender, congregating other white flowers, here with jasmine and tuberose, with the LOTV as the lead. It allows the other two their own voice, but they serve more to elevate our star. We also have proof here that modern developments in scent chemistry has enabled the beloved muguet accord to still thrive, and the restrictions to hydroxycitronellal and banning of lilial surely are not the "nail in the coffin." It is magnificently rendered here, with no rough edges at all, fleshy and saturated, with a rose coming through in the heart to extend and underline its beauty. I would also argue that, much like Hermes Muguet Porcelaine, this is a decidedly unisex lily of the valley centered fragrance. The sparkling bergamot at the top and the musky, smoothly woody dry down gives it a more masculine quality, albeit not "butch." It is the perfect example of perfume transcending gender. I feel the whole experience leans introspective and bittersweet, and would appeal to those who value their time with the ephemeral flowers of spring.

Cavatina is a splendour of citrus infused white florals floating on a delicate cup of green tea. The dewy petals of lily-of-the-valley softly ring its snowy bells. Sweet and pale they bloom ruling in truth and virtue, evoking a clean and bright fragrance. Sparkling green tuberose and ethereal jasmine frolic in the meadow touched by the spring breeze. They bestow its bittersweet floral aroma on a vegetal undercurrent of green tea. The sandalwood base warms up the composition with a balsamic blend of ylang ylang and vanilla absolute. I am enjoying the refreshing clarity and the delicate green tone to this fragrance wholeheartedly. The tuberose does not have that sickening bubblegum nuance to it and nor does it overwhelm the fragrance to the point that other notes are overshadowed. It is safe to say that Cavatina is probably my favourite muguet fragrance. I will be wearing this a lot during the summer.

innocent and very gentle, slightly soapy. got to love natural and green scents in order to fully enjoy it. I prefer more complex offerings from Dusita, so Cavatina was rather mediocre to me. however its one of the most realistic lily of the valley I had to smell yet. lily of the valley is actually impossible to extract naturally - im not a chemist but simply put the flower kinda kills its own aroma when you try to get it. There are some synthetics that sort of mimic it, or a perfumer can go and try to recreate the smell using other ingredients thus creating an illusion of a real lily of the valley, and Pissara did a fantastic job here. its practically identical. its something a bride would wear lasted about 2 hours becoming a quiet creamy vanilla kind of fog

I just received my sample of this, and it is absolutely gorgeous and stunning! This is very much a spring/summer scent, and it takes its place alongside Melodie de L'Amour as my top Dusita scents. I don't have very many lily-of-the-valley scents I can wear, but this is one of them. It starts out with a heady hit of indolic white flowers surrounded by the balancing citrus of bergamot. Once it dries down, the lily-of-the-valley comes through, supported with warmth from rose, a hint of vanilla, and an herbally-powdery cocoon. It is the combination of all these notes that keep the lily-of-the-valley in check for me, the balance of it keeping it from going too green. I can't say enough about Dusita perfumes.
