Fleur de Lalita

After having tested at least three other Dusita scents and although they were really special none of them was for me, - and now comes "Fleur de Lalita". This scent really positively overwhelmed me, so perfect it seems to my senses. The most wonderful, perfectly arranged white flower bouquet, not sweet but fresh, and really delicate. After a while it turns into a white flower cream, again, not sweet or cloying - with a nice note of galbanum, but still super elegant and fresh. But, and that is the point for me, it's not a bridal scent in my opinion. In the base there is a very subtle but still very noticeable erotic vibe, really hard to describe. (My husband stated that he thinks it smells like white flowers in a very expensive, light-flooded house at the seaside, somewhere in the Carribean owned by a very elegant, yet natural sexy woman. =D ) I've been a perfume collector for many years and I probably have tested a thousand scents meanwhile and honestly, not many things can really suprise me anymore and I'm often sad, that most new arrivals all kind of smell the same, because they are owned by the same big corps or the ever same perfumers all went to the same perfumme school., and following the new trend, they almost all drown any creativity in those artificial crap notes like Ambroxan, Paradisone, Cashmeran, - which I smell immediatley and I really hate those notes. It's so boring and predictable meanwhile. And what a breath of fresh air the Dusita scents are then, unconventional for sure, and the reason might be that the perfumer, Pissara, was especially not at one of those ever same perfume schools as I read today (and got mocked by the industry in the beginning for wanting to do her own thing) and instead really creates unique scents. Melodie de'l Amour was not after my taste, it was special for sure but there was a note in it I couldn't bear, two others were special too but also not my taste, but Fleur de Lalita really is fantastic for my nose as it is a rich, fresh, creamy white flower scent (which I generally like) but not typical and conventional. After testing this for a full week and totally falling in love I ordered the full bottle and am really happy to having found a new perfume for my collection after not having bought anything new in a year. Looking forward to more new scents from Dusita and I hope Pissara remains on her unconventional course of creation!

Fleur de Lalita is an absolutely stunning and joyful white floral, featuring lively jasmine and lily with a realistic botanical feel, with a fresh and dewy green naturalness to it, like the scent the flowers would give off while being watered. The galbanum is very present and is quite potent initially, giving the initial opening an almost chypre like feel, but Lalita quickly settles into more of a vibrant white floral but with a crispness rarely found without being headache inducing. I’m very sensitive to certain pungent white flowers, lily being at the top of the list, but somehow this is done in a way that is actually soothing to my senses instead of the usual piercing between my eyes that I normally get from similar notes. On paper, this sounds like a “no way” for me with all the jasmine, lily and magnolia, but somehow these notes magically harmonize and create a beautiful and realistic botanical white floral unlike most I have tried. Lalita settles into a slightly sweeter version after a couple of hours when gentle vanilla, clean musk and rose surface. After 3-4 hours the galbanum returns and lingers with the musky ambergris base for the remaining duration of the dry down. Fleur de Lalita is such a celebration of femininity, joy and optimism without going too “pink” or overly sweet. Fleur de Lalita is stunning and is proof we should never rule out any notes. Sometimes we just haven’t found the right combo or artistic touch to make it work for us. 5/5 for me.

I thought I'd moved on from my first olfactory love of jasmine-heavy, feminine florals, but Dusita is causing me to seriously reconsider. My favorites from the Discovery Set are Fleur de Lalita and La Douceur de Siam, and I'm going back and forth over which necessitates a full bottle. The two are similar in approach, but Fleur de Lalita is cooler and fresher: bitter green galbanum dressed in gorgeous white flowers. As others have pointed out, the formula isn't particularly unique or ground-breaking, but the quality and execution are stunning. Rather than follow the current fashion of frothy, sugary-sweet floral bouquets, all flowers represented here are elegant and sophisticated. I stop noticing this fragrance after a couple of hours, but I'm not sure if it's a performance issue or just that I'm becoming habituated to the scent. Last night my friend told me, "It smells like you just put it on!" long after I stopped being able to smell it. UPDATE: I just got a full bottle of this! I got 40€ off for purchasing the Discovery Set, and they also have a promotion going right now where you get a free 15ml bottle with a full bottle purchase. I was able to fulfill my Douceur de Siam longing as well!

Fleur de Lalita is a refined floral scent, not too sweet, not too heavy, powdery, enhanced by a touch of greenery and something aromatic. A very female scent, though, not at all reminiscent of aftershave. There is a hint of a garden after a heavy rain, when the earth is soaked and then breathes in the warm sun. I am not talking about earthy scents, though, just the rain evaporating from the ground mixed with the smell of young, green leaves - a slight ozonic freshness in this perfume, which lingers among the florals that play the major part in Fleur de Lalita. Yes, the price is high, no doubt about that. If you find a perfume there that suits you well, though, it might be worth it, because this is really high quality. On my skin this parfum lasts more than three hours. I sprayed it on my wrists and behind the ears in the evening and when I woke up in the middle of the night, I could still easily smell it. In the morning it was mostly gone. I love this as an inoffensive, yet complex enough to be interesting fragrance for the day and I'm hoping it will perform well in warmer weather.

This is lovely. If you like '60 and '70 green florals, this one should not be missed. Beauties like Chamade, Chant d'Aromes and Calèche come to mind. It has that understated, demure and lady like charm of the era when nice ladies still wore corsets every day and lowered their eyes and not just for kink. When the social expected behaviour is rigid, multitude of opposite ones bloom in shadow. This flower opens cold and chaste to fade sensually. Well, it's a great way to go. The white flowers can go both ways and usually one of the two is chosen. This perfume can be a story of the personal and sexual discovery or liberation. Or just a lovely white flower perfume. Ms Umavijani has a unique approach to flowers. The facets underlined are not always the most gracious ones, but they are there nonetheless and with Ms Umavijani's help they shine. There is something very real and truthful about her creations. This just might be my favorite one. That might change because I continue discovering them every time I wear one of them, again and again. Full bottles might be needed.

I have just gotten an FB of this. It is a beautiful, grown-up white floral. I smell certain flowers- not sure which- mixed with a notion of stale cigarette smoke which makes this classier. In opposition to the reviewer below me I think this is very different than Douceur de Siam and Melodie de L'Amour. I believe L'Amour is gardenia-heavy and for that reason it was not for me. Siam is an abstract floral but not a white floral. I own that one. as well. The performance on this is really good and also for me only Siam dries down sour. I think this one is my favorite from the line although I would also love to have Oudh Infini! (I think- need to re-test.) I just want to acknowledge that I was influenced by the Lucky Scent write-up of this one which is so perfect. But to me it DOES smell grown up and I DO sense some stale cigarette smoke in a good way. Also I have learned something about myself- that I love the smell of lily. This is a great lily scent. Another great one that took a different tack is Blondine by Frassai, which I hope to get one day.

Woah! Too much for me. Too many white flowers and then sharp galbanum cutting through it all. The galbanum eases off thankfully and then the musk ambrette shows through. Now the sweet element appears. My word this quick and dramatically develops. I actually love the green galbanum note but for a while it was too much in this. Once the sweetness comes through it becomes quite addictive. Lily, jasmine, magnolia, rose and ylang softened and merging into one another. There is also a powdery aspect to this floral. I could easily imagine some exotic tropical flower exuding this heavenly scent. Not a heavy mesmerizing scent like that of the datura or lily though. It truly is quite heavenly. One for angels?! I don't say that about many florals if any! Florals can easily be too much for me but not this beauty. It does not induce a headache. I'm disappointed that it doesn't have near average sillage and longevity. I'd love to put this on my want list but it's out of my price range. Do I think it is worth the mega bucks? Not really.

I tried a sample, it's a very nice and natural fresh bouquet of flowers, mostly white flowers. Beautiful. Update: I like it more and more, out of the 12 samples. The scent is soothing and - I can't stress enough - natural. Dusita fragrances should not be judged at first sight, you should try the samples several times, at different times of the day and in different moods, because there is a kind of attractive note (or even more), which you may not like at first, but maybe you won't believe it yourself that it will eventually become your favorite, like hay for me. Although there is no hay in this fragrance, there is in many Dusitas, I try to write about them too. I highly recommend trying the sample pack on the official Dusita website to everyone who really wants to smell natural fragrances and doesn't shy away from the fact that it won't be a synthetic nuclear power plant. Love it! 9/10 3 weeks later: couldn't detect even a trace of sourness on myself.

I think I have reviewed this before but I came here again today to say that this is SUCH a beautiful floral masterpiece. I wore it so much when I first got it in 2023 that I almost used the entire bottle and then I kind of forgot about it. I just sprayed it on again and remember why I fell for this so hard. The transparent watery effect of the white florals, the savory intensity of the magnolia and buttery ylang, the bitterness of the galbanum, I just cannot. This fragrance! It smells like a bottle of flowers that have been preserved in 24K gold with a sprinkling of some sort of dusty tobacco or hay or something magical that makes it feel vintagey and old. I don’t smell many people wearing things like this and I see why some people don’t like it. It is an extremely specific vintage vibe and it is incredibly well done. This is now on the short list of scents I don’t think I can live without.

Whenever someone describes a perfume as smelling like a high-end florist shop, I rush to sample it. And, it seems, I'm always disappointed. Either the fragrance is too synthetic smelling or there's a nagging stale note that weighs the composition down. But Fleur de Lalita is the real thing--a fresh, realistic, exquisite bouquet of lilies, roses, jasmine and magnolia blossoms. I'd say it's a little soapy, but only because it smells clean and luxurious like the soap at a five-star resort. It has an old-fashioned romantic vibe, particularly in the heady opening. Then the green notes rush in and it becomes a vibrant, confident, modern fragrance during the dry-down and for hours after. Definitely feminine. Now I just have to decide whether to buy the travel spray or spring for the full bottle

What a beautiful fragrance. I saw a Luckyscent review that describes this as "a bouquet of tropical flowers that has grown up, moved to France, and taken up smoking and reading Baudelaire." That hits it pretty well. Starts white floral and green. But a strong rose comes in too. And then a whole bouquet of flowers. Rich and sensual, not too sweet. This is luscious and mature flowers. Not typical. Drying down there's smoke and musk and vanilla... I want to be wherever this magic came from. It gets dark and mysterious from that initial white floral high. There's an animal here, but still something clean all the way through to a woody musk bone. Fabulous.

This sure gets a lot of hate! The opening is possibly not that exciting. It's lilies and a cigarette smell which is pleasant to me, actually. But in the far drydown, this perfume disassembles, becomes musky and elegant with subtle tiny touches of sweetness. I love it and I have a bottle which I am 1/3- 1/2 through. For me it's for summer and spring only and it's one of my staples. I find it gets very sophisticated and ineffable and I love that it's lily not tuberose. I also have another fragrance called Minerva, which is a dupe of Marfa, which gives tuberose and cigarettes haha; and I love that one too.

Super-floral opening, bright and elegant white flowers. Lily and magnolia are the ones I perceive the most, and they are of a unique purity, just like jasmine. I really like it when it changes direction unexpectedly evolving in a dusty way with a light vanilla and tonka bean in the background, even if the white flowers are always of superior level keeping the strong initial glow always alive in this superb fragrance. I really like this parfum, it's like a kind of protection that envelops you and warms your heart with its unique wake. Sillage: 8./10 Longevity: 9./10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10

Fleur de Lalita is my favorite floral composition from Dusita. Like the others in the line, this is a realistic, natural scent with Jasmine in the starring role. Overall performance trumps Melodie de L'Amour which vanished within 90 minutes and became a skin scent (usually not a big deal but it’s sold and priced as an extract.) This is vanilla cream on a lush floral bed, easy to wear and simply intoxicating. I saved one of the best for last, and cements my belief that Dusita does florals like no other. Edit: this is my third Dusita purchase as of today (09.11.20).

I bought a discovery set from Dusita and this one out of all made me so emotional. I liked all the ones I have tried (really recommend them) but this one... Wow what a beautiful piece of a floral fragrance, pure class. You want a beautiful white floral fragrance in a classic style? Give this one a try. Or just try all their floral offerings, you won't be disappointed I promise. I do know I may kind of sound like an ad haha but yeah... You just got a new big fan of the brand! Pissara you are really truly remarkable and talented, thank you!

This is such a delicate, classic and vintage smelling floral. I love it. It reminds me of Chanel No 5 and also Joy Jean Patou. The galbanum is perfect and provides it with some backbone. Keeps it interesting. I could be wearing it at the wrong time of year or doing something wrong with it because it totally eviscerates itself on my skin within an hour and becomes a deep skin scent that i can’t smell at all. On the clothes it lasts and is amazing. I just sprayed all over my shirt and am very much enjoying the ride.

Green, refreshing and sweet. Between the rose and the jasmine, there is the smell of frangipani, obviously. I thought for the first time that I was on my way home. There is a frangipani tree near my house. If passing by, I usually walk up, bend down, and pick up a few fallen flowers. This is one of the few scent memories I have. This work is quite Austronesian, reminiscent of the sun and flowers of Bali...... could it be that Pissara Umavijani was on vacation there when she wrote the recipe?

This should have been called "fleur narcotique") A completely unique composition, addictive. A fountain of young salty flowers. There are champagne bubbles, green juiciness and fresh spice. It is so complexly mixed, lively, very joyful, refreshing and unusual that it gives birth to love at first sniff. There is no tenderness here, there is trills of laughter)

What seems like a polite, delicate floral soon becomes skanky and rich, and I LOVE it. It's never the same thing twice, being green, indolic, cold, rich, delicate and wild, a real conundrum of a fragrance. I find all of the Dusita florals like this, but I think this is my favourite... Dusita does florals like no other., truly masterful.

I absolutely love this one despite it being feminine But i don’t care, all I care about it the embodiment of magnolia and the creamy bunch of white folwer witht the green galbanum. All i can say is that i am head-over-heals about this one. Thank you, Parfums Dusita

That’s a green floral scent (almost smells vegetal to me). Definitely a very fresh and energetic fragrance that reminds me of beautiful spring flowers. I really enjoy it (especially the mix of bitter galbanum and a softer base). My ig: scent.guide

Gorgeous white floral that is kept from being too cloying by the galbanum. I typically avoid super whites, but this is great, no headache. I have very dry skin so it has disappeared in 2 hours, I'll update this post if it reappears.

A very nice floral scent and definitely not too sweet. It is marketed as unisex but to me it is very feminine unless you layer it with something oudy or woody like Dior leather oud. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 9/10

Floral galbanum heaven! I just really wish it lasted longer on me. Magnolia, jasmine, ambrette and something that can only be described as "Dusitinade". Layers really well with Issara.

I’ve sprayed this a few times now. On paper it’s glorious, ethereal and feminine, light and airy. On my skin, however, it starts off heavy on the white florals; it rings vintage perfume vibes and is on the mature side, but in an elegant way. The true beauty of this fragrance is at the far dry down...but I don’t know if I can wait that long. If that were the case, I’d need to schedule when to wear this fragrance (possibly 2 hours before I go out). Do I really want my nose to go through the white florals before I enjoy it, and would it still project, then? I don’t think it has strong sillage or longevity; it becomes more a skin scent, rather quickly, but I’m going to need a second opinion because I wouldn’t want to overspray. It’s well-blended, so it’s hard for me as an amateur or novice to pick the notes apart, but I do smell the rose in there too...so if that’s not your thing, don’t blind-buy this. But if you like rose, this is one of the softer rose fragrances. Overall, it’s perfect for the spring season. I vacillate between loving it and feeling neutral about it. I’ve smelled La Douceur de Siam, and they almost have the same feel, except LDDS feels brighter and intriguing. This is more of a classic feminine fragrance. I’m all for that, but it needs to be the right occasion for me to wear this.

While Fleur de Lalita is not a muguet scent, it feels appropriate for May Day. A fresh, green-tinged white floral, it is classic in style, featuring a prominent lily note front and centre. There is a light amber drydown, bringing this to floriental territory. It is a high-quality, classic floral, enhanced to perfection by green and amber accords. FdL opens with a lush yet light lily note on a vintage-style hazy galbanum background. The greenness is dewy and sap-like initially, giving the effect of the stem and leaves. Clean, sweet white florals follow, rounding out the lily. Powdery jasmine is most evident, but I get some creaminess thanks to the magnolia or ylang ylang. It becomes progressively more powdery, with rose following the white florals. As it develops further, dry, powdery vanilla keeps things sweet without choking the florals. A sweet amber accord develops in the base, complementing the bouquet at the heart of this scent beautifully. Soft woody notes emerge in the later stages. It fades to a sweet, musky skin scent with remnants of powdery florals. Sillage is strong and longevity is moderate. A beautiful, feminine springtime scent, FdL isn't anything unusual, but is a classical floral perfume, elegant and wearable. 4/5.

I'm not a white floral person (you can view my collection to see a preference for fruit-sweetened white florals), so let me establish that clearly. This was a blind buy because I adore the fab house of Dusita, and I bought it knowing I dislike lily and magnolia. On my skin this is mostly dusty, earthy galbanum and soapy white lily--I love rose, but she's too shy here to play a starring role. It's a dry floral perfume, photorealistic, like you've stuck your nose in fresh magnolia blossom to catch traces of green stem, mold spores and heady scent. 20 minutes in, I like the scent more in full dry down (as others have mentioned)--I get a growing sense of sweet rose, but lily and magnolia give me soapy, mature vibes I can't quite forgive. I prefer La Douceur de Siam, Splendiris, Rosarine, and Anamcara. Update: Continues to sweeten and lean into rose as it develops. I definitely prefer this perfume after it has spent a good amount of time on my skin--at least 30 minutes in my 68 degree house. I may keep this bottle--but find myself agreeing with other reviewers about timing this one so it aligns with plans, lol. I honestly would just wear La Douceur de Siam--they are similar.

It is difficult to review because it seems like a different fragrance every time I put it on. Occasionally I have gotten the bitter green almost cigarette-like opening others have mentioned, other times it's a gentle lily and magnolia. One time about five hours in, when I thought it had disappeared, a delicious rose/cut grass scent emerged during a sweaty outdoor run. Perhaps humidity is the key? Purely based on scent profile (not performance), I think this fragrance is for warmer months and wouldn't do well in winter. I'd say lily-of-the-valley (muguet) is the most consistent note; if you don't like that, or green fragrances, this one's probably not for you. The floral notes are very natural-smelling and (with the exception of lily-of-the-valley) quite soft, but this perfume stands up surprisingly well to my B.O. I oddly get very little vanilla, tonka or sandalwood at all, which makes me wonder if my sample could be defective. Still trying to decide if I'm curious enough to make the leap to a full bottle...

After smelling enough Dusita perfumes, I’m starting to notice a family resemblance. This is a lot like Melodie de l’Amour and La Douceur de Siam – same warm, glowing, real-sandalwood-and-ambergris base, same intoxicating, blended-white-floral heart (with jasmine and/or ylang-ylang). Basically, it seems like the three Dusita florals are structured the same, variations on a theme: Siam is the spicy/tropical quirky little sister, Melodie is the tuberose/gardenia flirtatious and brash middle sister, and Lalita is the “nice and responsible”, rose/lily, eldest sister. The Tzeitel of the three, if you will. Lalita is swoony, rosy, headily floral, and long-lasting (10 hours!) with a hint of salt-sweat ambergris and fuzzy musk underneath. It’s definitely creamy/pearly/opaque rather than sheer or transparent; not a “crisp” or “green” floral but a warm, womanly one. Between this and Melodie de l’Amour, I’d still take the latter (because tuberose and gardenia), but don’t get me wrong, Lalita is still incredibly good.

This is a church lady fragrance par excellence. It starts out with bitter galbanum and bar soap. You just got into trouble in Sunday school and this same church lady dragged you out of class and rinsed your mouth out with soap. (this really used to happen). You can’t help but smell her and she smells very faintly of cigarette smoke, body odor, and more soap. Once she releases you, you go into the now empty church to cry. There are lilies and magnolia and other white flowers up on the altar, which you are scared to approach. But you can smell them, at a distance, although not enough to get church lady’s smells out of your head. After a while, as you sit there and calm down, the flowers get stronger and start to make you feel peaceful. You plot revenge.

After a bunch of trials, I see Fleur de Lalita as a clean green floral. To me it's like a lighter, cleaner, less earthy version of Erawan. I see that someone is reminded of Dia Woman by Amouage, and interestingly that is the perfume that came to mind for me too. The reason it's interesting is because it doesn't smell like Dia exactly; not even a dupe. But they are in the same class of musky, soft, clean floral. I love the pretty and sweet magnolia in the heart of this, and I do get the ambrette as it dries down, which is wonderful. The biggest thing I detect is galbanum, all the way through. So in comparison to Dia, this is more green and vegetal. All of the Dusita perfumes are beautifully crafted and easy to wear. I am falling in love one by one.

I actually don't think this smells of lily, it smells more like a narcissus or hyacinth fragrance to me. It's a sharper, more bitter spring floral fragrance. I like it. It smells very classic. But overall, I do think this house is a little confusing for me. I'm not sure why anyone should choose to buy Fleur de Lalita at full price when there are many comparable vintage floral fragrances in the twenty dollar price range. This has a definite vintage flavor, and I can't remember if I've smelled Jardins de Bagatelle by Guerlain before, but this does have that old classic Guerlain floral quality, so I believe that this smells like that. It's lovely, but similar fragrances can be had for similar quality for definitely half the price, if not even less.

Just got a discovery set and I fall in love with this one! Lily-of-the-valley is not listed here but it's the prominent player here. It's such a gorgeous fresh green floral scent. I am surprised that Pissara could create so many floral scents in all different aspects capturing their characteristics. I also love Melodie d'amour as well but that one is a passionate and lively white floral bouquet. If Fleur de Lalita is a nymph in the woods then Melodie d'amour is a princess in a decadent ball with a ravishing gown. Both are gorgeous scents though my favourites are Papillon d'or and Erawan.

Favorite lily forward scent that I have tried so far. And that is coming from someone who doesn't like lily! I usually find lily to be sneeze and headache inducing, but the sweetness of the magnolia really balances the otherwise screechy lily here. It is quite green when it opens, but it quickly settles down to a more floral forward experience. All in all, It's a nice modern take on a "classic" scent profile, I really appreciate it! I am also noticing that a lot of floral dusita perfumes have an underlying rose in there that really keeps things interesting/complex. 6.5/10

- This is gorgeous. Feminine. Sweet florals on a base on green galbanum. Smells like fresh floral soap. Sharpens as it dries, so watch out for that. I can definitely imagine myself wearing this one often. It's heady. The very first time I sampled this one years ago I did not like it at all. My nose must have become more sophisticated because I love it now. Ambergris is prominent in the drydown which gives the scent an animalic flare. My top three Dusita perfumes are Splendiris, La douceur de siam, and Fleur de Lalita. I'm recently also loving Issara.

Sweaty hothouse white floral. The palpable, viscous sweetness of the lily and barely-indolic jasmine is undercut by a slight vegetal greenness and a musky, earthy accord that's somewhere between cigarette and petrichor. In the second hour, just when I think this is beginning to dry down into a straightforward floral bouquet, a fascinating, dusty hay/barnyard thing emerges out of nowhere and takes over. A very well-made and beautiful fragrance.

Sweet soft woody floral bouquet. The scent opens with a white floral medley highlighted by jasmine, and in the middle with ylang and galbanum. The perfume settles on a sweet powdery bed of ambrette, sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean. The pleasant scent has moderate sillage and longevity. This is the thing that Dusita does best. Very feminine and very pretty. Enjoy!

This is a really beautiful white floral that is very green in only the first few minutes. After that, it is soft and feminine white florals, but light and pretty. I usually avoid white florals, especially ylang ylang and jasmine together, but this is not too sweet at all. It’s very clean and pretty. Soft. Very wearable! You wear it; it doesn’t wear you.

This definitely shares DNA with Douceur de Siam. From the name I expected a very feminine fragrance, so the biting wallop of galbanum and comparative lack of sweetness in the drydown surprised me. I like galbanum, but it really overpowers everything else here. I definitely recommend trying before you buy.

Very pretty, feminine, easy to wear. I find a similarity to Dior New Look, though Lalita isn’t as iris-y and is more tart than softly sweet. It has something in common with Chanel No.19 as well. I may wear this to my brothers wedding, as it would be a perfect fragrance for a warm weather formal event.

First time I tried it, I rarely smell anything. And then I Overspray like super overspray and I didn't regret it. I love the beauty of the green notes, realistic flower bouquet, oh so beautiful! But my husband said it's turning sour and overwhelming. I got Rose mainly and some white flowers.

Delicate gorgeous, soft airy floral for spring. There is a lightness to this fragrance that makes it so beautiful. It smells like fresh cut flowers in the spring. Light, bouncy, green floral, soft and sweet. So clean and uplifting.

This is a lovely floral, jasmine/ylang forward, but just absolutely disappears after an hour. For that one hour it is really gorgeous. If it lasted longer this would be FBW, but sadly, it has no staying power on me.

A floral blast that was very breathtaking. Unfortunately it only lasted close to six hrs. Definitely on the feminine side.

I am going to sum up Fleur de Lalita in one sentence: This is what a soap used by beauty Goddesses would smell like. +

Fully-floral and focused. I would describe this as "beach-y", softens somewhat with wear.

After sampling this several times, and allowing myself time to get past the bitter, green galbanum, I realized just how much I love this and purchased a full bottle. I'll likely purchase the body/hair spray in a few weeks because Dusitas always need a boost. What I love best is the lily and how it is softened by the jasmine. There are so many base notes that are hard for me to identify, but they end of supporting what can easily have been just another ho-hum floral fragrance, but the quality of the blending and materials used make this one a stunner for me. Because of the galbantum, it calls to mind the opening of Erawan, which I also fall in love with once the bitterness subsides, but beyond that, they are different and I prefer Lalita. I have always loved florals, and I'm happy to see they are making a bit of a comeback, though I would continue to love and wear them even if that was not the case. This is very much a throwback to old school French perfumery, though it rings clearer and more purely. I had really wanted to purchase Melodie de L'Amour, but I need to wait and save up for it specifically. I think Lalita is my second favorite. I too was taken aback from the initial spray and for about 20 minutes all I smelt was cigarette smoke and bitterness from the galbanum. But waiting it out was worth it, as underneath it, a gorgeous lily shines through, well supported by jasmine and magnolia. They remain dominant throughout the duration, though eventually I can't pick up the ylang. I am wearing it now for the first time in a preliminary trial. It really seems entirely about florals to me, though I'm not discounting that it may evolve further as it dries down. Right now, with the exception of that awful start, I find this a very beautiful floral, period. Nothing else pops out so I assume they are doing their job as supporting players in a quiet way. I am really falling in love with this brand. FB worthy? Maybe. I still have other samples to get through, but I've found that I do love lily and my collection doesn't reflect that. It also has one of, if not the best, magnolia note I've ever experienced.

When I smell Fleur de Lalita one word comes to mind, boring. Inexplicably boring; forgettable and dull - and I’m not just saying that to be hurtful. The problem is it smells well made, it doesn’t come across as lazy or cheap, but there’s just no character in it. I suppose some enjoy that minimalism. It consists of a clean, soapy array of white florals, all as vague and placid as the next, counterbalanced by a certain dry muskiness from the galbanum and ambrette. It’s perfectly inoffensive and gentle, but in a way that is it’s downfall, from a house such as Dusita I would have expected some oomph. Unfortunately not. Whilst it’s in no way a bad fragrance, I don’t feel anything when I smell it. It smells nice, and if that’s all you want then fine, but there’s a million perfumes out there which will achieve that - how does this one separate itself from the crowd? It doesn’t.
