Le Pavillon D'Or

Unisex This unusual beauty is a floral woody, greenish scent which turns from the bitter and for some maybe even harsh opening into soft calmness. This is an elixir of therapeutic, relaxing, aromatic and exotic notes and it’s warm and cozy but not in the traditional and so used noticeable “Vanilla way”. This is a mix of not so familiar ingredients and it makes this interesting. You get the feeling of tranquility inside the bubble which Pavillon D’Or creates and it’s noticeable around you as well, not too loud, not too weak, just in the right kind of projection for this kind of scent. What makes this really interesting as well, the character of all Pissara’s creations, is the ability to differ a lot depending on the wearer. It’s impossible to tell in advance in what kind of way Dusitas are going to behave on the skin and which of the notes will open most prominently. One thing is sure: the more warm the juice gets the prettier it comes. This scent is really special, it’s not for everyone so test it and do it many times since you don’t get the whole picture of the scent straight away. I wore this many days to understand this totally and to notice all its beautiful facets. I wanted to open up the different notes little bit. If you are after a relaxing and easy going fragrance that will calm your nerves and give you a feeling of complete tranquility, then this fragrance is for you! Le Pavillon D'Or is an easy fragrance to understand. It smells yellow. A warm, cozy but vibrant yellow, to be exact. To me it smells like a warm cup of sophisticated herbal mountain tea. It has a therapeutic nature about it. I get whiffs of chamomile, refreshing mint, lots of honeysuckle with a soft powder and delicate woody base. I am not big on Fig or Fig leaf in a fragrance but it is blended so beautifully here that it gives it a perfect touch of leafy greenness and balances out the sweetness. It is a fragrance for the wearer to enjoy as it sits closer to the skin. I could not see it being strong or bold by any means, it would lose it's refinement if it were made any different. I would wear this fragrance all year round although I would imagine it would truly bloom and show it's full potential in Autumn and Spring, on a day where it's not too hot and not too cold. When I first tried this fragrance my first reaction was 'My goodness, Pissara has done it again!' Le Pavillon D'Or is a perfect new addition to an already outstanding collection. It fits perfectly with the previous additions. One thing is for sure, Pissara is a genius when it comes to making herbal type florals 💚

Le Pavillon d'Or feels as if it's embroidered with crushed ivy leaves, obscure vegetation. Herbes de Provence, and dispersed among the foggy moors of my imagination. It begins with green sap and distant filmy flowers, a mollifying effect comes over me. There is a forest-like flavor, like Labrador tea, some armoise, and acorns, shrouded with orris, growing more powdery and blurry. Now there are misty oaks, autumn grasses, and heliotrope at dusk. I am then reminded of a thyme-scented soap imported from France I used some years ago. From green to grey, bitter to sweet, it travels through twigs and stems, branches and boughs, further into the sweetest, most serene oblivion. It feels vintage, but also on another plane, like something an 18th century English poet would conjure up from imagination. I think of William Blake: "The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity... and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself."

Wow, this one turned from mehh to addiction for me. When I first sprayed it, I felt it was way too powdery and almost like a bug spray, I didn't like it. I let it age and weather started to get warmer and tried again. I could smell the notes more clearly. It reminds me of arctic summer, when you're in the forest surrounded by aromatic and slightly bitter flowers and plants, with the mosquitos, and the 90s mosquito repellent oil. The sun is shining. Now this is a powder bomb, much more powdery than the prada iris perfume or the chanel n.19 poudre version. It's powdery in a buttery or "sticky beepollen" type of way. It has vintage feel but in a refreshing unique way. This perfume in heat is SO beautifull. Not sexy, nor seductive. But being so beautifull could be considered sexy. I can't stop smelling the empty bottle like an addict. The smell is therapeutic, and now I detect more oak (beautifull whiskey barrel smell). Love the combination between warm and cool. Reminds me of arctic summer with my sisters <3

It smells like a warm late spring garden, just breathtaking. I've been looking for such vibrant young greens and fresh flowers for a long time. The opening burns the nostrils for a moment, like the glint of gold in the sun burns the eyes) There is a strong galbanum effect here, but the galbanum itself is not in the composition. I adore honeysuckle, in my opinion it is one of the most “perfumed” flowers - it has such a rare, complex mixture of delicate sweetness, citrus freshness and tartness. But in perfumery, if it appears occasionally, it just smells sweet and boring. In Le Pavillon D'Or, the honeysuckle note is the most realistic for me at the moment. And the fig leaf here is very youthful and tart, without any annoying sweet powderiness or milkiness. However, Le Pavillon D'Or is not about a single flower or leaf, it's about the whole garden and the glitter of gold. My God, how wonderfully and seamlessly it is done!

I have the travel size of this perfume is 7.5 ml. It is a perfume with a duration around 10 hours, with a medium-high intensity the first hour and then it is located at a medium intensity. I can tell you that this perfume is a combination of aromatic notes, woods ... the perfume that represents an exotic forest where life comes from the aromas it gives off. But as much as I tell you that forest aroma if you don't try it you can't know what its aroma is like. The soul of this perfume is the exotic notes that make it different and special. Exotic and mysterious. As much as you read, no matter how much you look at its notes you will not know what its aroma is like until you taste it. It can perfectly be a feminine perfume if you enjoy green and woody aromas. Many men will love this perfume and it will be extremely attractive and for all types of ages.

Le Pavillon d’Or opens with a burst of fresh green mint and the sparkling floral sweetness of honeysuckle in perfect harmony. This wonderfully green dewy opening is pushed forward by a blend of galbanum and fig leaf. As the fragrance evolves boronia absolute adds a fruity floral touch, perfectly complementing the opulence of golden-honeyed frankincense. The gentle herbal warmth of white thyme oil adds relaxed refinement. As the fragrance moves into dry-down soft vanilla and toasted rum barrel aromas of English Oakwood are blended with a classic, clean & woody Sandalwood. Holy hell.... L O V E On my skin it’s a creamy, smooth, exotic, herbal scent. I thought Erawan was my favorite from Dusita and I’m proven wrong. This is the second time I have worn Le Pavillon d’Or and I pulled the trigger. I have now sampled all the Dusita collection and this is my personal favorite. It is linear after the brief opening fades, but I don’t care. I simply love it. I’m going to go on record and say that’s it’s the best fragrance with a mint dominant opening I’ve ever experienced. Extremely high quality, and very natural. In Seattle this is a Spring and Summer scent (most other places I would say Spring only). Our weather is so mild it’s perfect right now. I can’t stop sniffing my arm.

This is Amouage's Reflection Man but -- and this is very strange to say when comparing with Amouage -- the resins in it, olibanum from the notes' list and maybe more, makes it especially interesting version of it. It's strange to compare with Amouage because usually the resins make Amouage scents so special. Le Pavillon D'Or has exactly the same overwhelming, luxurious and amazing sweetness in it. And the resins make it smell like something from the past, even a bit like old house perhaps, old furniture. Very interesting creation. It made me curious how would Reflection Man smell together (mixed or layered) with some of my benzoin-heavy or why not even musty-vetiver or strong-oud scents.

The most beautiful perfume. It is suitable for any person, at any time of day, any time of year. It is a perfume of the eternal, of things that remain truthful always. It is quiet and serene. It’s the beauty of a quiet lake at sunset, or a mossy forest glade with the first golden rays of sunrise glowing through the leaves of the trees. It’s not dramatic florals that are so lovely in their own way, partially because they’re temporary. This, as I said, is eternal. Quiet. Meditative. They say it’s very hard to describe a perfume you truly love, and I agree with that. To me this perfume is nearly perfect.

A bright, spicy, vivacious scent, complex and impeccably blended. There’s a green freshness here, open and airy, with woods that ground the scent without burying it in the dirt. A fragrance that lilts. A natural openness, the mint infusing life into a bright honeysuckle with orris root whispering in the background. There’s a quiet, complex beauty here, effervescent yet serene. The colorful eruption of spring set against new grass and warmed by the sun. Not the plants themselves but the air around them, a world rinsed clean and emerging anew, everything in its right place.

Very original and lovable. It reminds me of turmeric. It is exotic, warm, intense yet soothing. Arabia, spices on the market, sunshine, tropical environment. Possibly India. Asia in general. A scent of another continent and culture. Pavillon D'Or. I think the scent fulfills the promise. Might be orris root and herbs at play, but to me it plays on turmeric facets - it is a multifaceted jewel that will surprise many times, there is a lot going on in it. Made a great impression on me - originality and wearability-wise. Not quite a love yet more than like.

This fragrance feels like an Amouage to me! It’s got that sweet/sour friction that keeps me coming back for another sniff. Green, aromatic, woody, with just a little sweetness in the back of my nose. I ordered the sample set from Luckyscent and am now almost wishing I hadn’t because while some scents definitely didn’t work for me, quite a few certainly have! This one has a more grown up tone to it- I get a chypre vibe as well as a fougere - it depends on what stage I’m in. Very nice.

Oh what magic this is. A sharp minty green and earthy opening melts into some mixture of things I can't fully identify. Soft and aromatic woodsy with flowers here and there. Herbal for sure. But yes the fig. A green wooded garden with a powdery airiness to it, but only just barely. Only slightly sweet. Not a set of notes I'm fully familiar with or have seen before. Something new everytime I smell my wrist... Unusual and addictive and wonderful.

It's a beautiful scent. Very elegant and very unisex. You immediately get the leafy green of the fig leaf. It is also powdery, floral and woody. It is quite a stimulating scent (the herbs) but also calming (oak and boronia). Quite an achievement. I can't pick out the honeysuckle but I guess it provides a little sweet nectar element. It's a clean and perhaps a modern scent. I don't get much development. Pretty much linear.

I quite like this. To me it is unisex and very easy to wear. The opening is just so nice and I love it. However the drydown is a powdery green herbal wood and while really nice its not wowing me. I think if the sandalwood was a little more prominent than I would be in love. Very casual inoffensive. Maybe 40+. Like a couple sitting outside in their adirondack chairs in the shade on a nice spring day.

This is an unusual powdery scent. It's such an interesting combination of mostly orris, fig leaf, mint, thyme and oak. It kind of smells like drinking mint tea in a magical forest. First stage is more orris and wood, then it gains more of these herbal, green, minty qualities. Very beautiful, I love this. A unique take on orris, an artistic creation. +

This is my new favorite fragrance to wear before and after doing yoga. It is herbal and floral with some autumn grass but at the same time not too cloying or heavy. Fresh and green with some resins. Makes me feel so refreshed and refined during the day even when I am sweating.

Gold is what I think about when I smell this on my wrist. Golden leaf on the ground, golden glint on a faraway temple roof, golden sunlight and golden sweetness of honeysuckle. What a beautiful scent, what a joy to wear. When the wind turns cold, this scent sparkles.

truly bright as the morning sun. dewy and of the natural world. fizzy and sheer but somehow has body, wears like a fond memory from childhood an absolute fav. been wearing to bed this winter to ward away the chill; the golden pavilion is up to the task

This is lovely. I mostly smell the iris and frankincense, every other note seems to just lift up these two scents. The powdery heliotrope creates a golden hour energy. This is what human kindness would smell like.

I can’t even begin to describe the unique perfection that is Le Pavillon D'Or. It requires far too sophisticated a set of words than my brain has the allowance for. So I won’t bother. 10/10.

Le Pavillon d'Or is warmed skin, ozonic feel of blue skies, the lightest spiciness, leaves rustling in the cool breeze. This is the autumn of my youth.

Unlit sweet Asian incense sticks! Lovely fresh spicy woody and green with a tinge of sweetness. Invigorating but also zen.

I wasn’t sure I’d like this, but I do. So fresh and green but with sweetness from the flower notes.

Really grew on me over time, wood dust powdery fruity green, super unique.

I have a personal love-hate relationship with this sent. From the first second I've sprayed on my skin, the only though that was crossing my mind is incredible, magical, fairy tale notes that have potential to turn me into perfume monogamy. It starts very sweet, citrusy and minty all of that at once. To my mind it is a firework of pleasure. After half an hour it unfolds into beautiful dance of pine and citrus, with a relatively strong reference to Figolo from Lengling. However, Pavilion is way more sophisticated, elegant and beautiful, and is still definitely on my must have list. Once it settles to the base notes, this is when the disappointment of unmet expectations, kicking in. The promises of paradise with singing angels tuning into bitter unremarkable musk, and to be fair not the best ending.... If it would be a nice soft floral finish like the one that Issara offers, I could potentially sell my soul for that. I certainly will get a bottle because of the beauty of the opening part, but will shush down that simple base with some jasmine notes. So far I've tested about 7 Dusita sent from the official test box and have a quite mix feeling. Almost all of them are nicely done. The artistic individual touch and the brand's story telling makes this house to stand out and being noticeable. That concern's me personally, is that I wont remember any of them in just a couple of weeks time. With exception of La Pavillon

Le Pavillon d'Or is an unusual herbal-floral scent. Green, powdery, woody, balsamic and camphorous at different times, it is somewhat enigmatic and is hard to categorise. I haven't smelled anything quite like this. Unisex and likeable, it is creative but wearable - a quiet scent overall. LPO opens with bright, herbal mint, slightly camphorous but restrained. A prominent honeysuckle note, sweet and polleny is evident here, and it quickly becomes powdery thanks to the orris. There is a balsamic sweetness that permeates this scent, underscoring the herbal/floral notes nicely. As it develops, the mint gives way to a bright, green fig note. Hazy, almond-esque heliotrope emerges in the background, and herbal nuances remain. Soft woody notes follow, complementing the balsamic amber accord in the base. The amber becomes more honeyed as it fades, balanced beautifully by the herbal woodiness. It fades to a sweet amber skin scent with some woodiness lingering. Sillage and longevity are moderate. To be worn in warm weather. Perfectly unisex despite its sweetness, LPO is pleasant throughout and surprisingly restorative. Reasonably subtle and inoffensive, this is creatively composed with high-quality ingredients on close inspection. Too timid to truly wow me, but a nice example of understated artistry. 4/5.

Very interesting take on the fig leaf genre, paired in this case not only with sandalwood, but also oakwood, which is definitely present here together with a very recognizable thyme note and a massive array of heliotropic buttery waxy soapy powder notes, mostly a dense orris accord, but also what smells to me like some carrot seed mixed in there, both rich in smooth powdery ionones. I get the mildest touch of olibanum in there, smoke-free, just resonating in there. Definitely one of the smoothest experiences I have smelled in general. A happy bright creamy scent with a hefty robust presence, the fig leaf is grand in there, green, minty, milky, with the picture perfect oak and a realistic greener sappier sandalwood variety underneath, no wood-grain in sight. This is my second favorite Dusita so far, after Erawan, simply out of personal preference, but PdO does seem to perform better. Equally of an effective feel-good fragrance, dense, jovial, luminous and uplifting. Slightly feminine leaning perhaps, but not by much. It may be a bit too vegetal and green for some, so definitely sample first. Excellent and artistic, just like every offering I have sampled from this house so far. Superb quality scents, quite eccentric perhaps, not easy to wear, but definitely worth the money.

Notice in the reviews how many people are using natural imagery to describe this one. I agree--it's quiet, subdued, natural somehow. This bottle is green and aromatic--spa vibes, a bit soapy, gentle, cold, aloof vibes, some herbaceous woodiness, some fig leaf spiciness. The overall effect is chic, distant--you are a woodland nymph with excellent taste and you are separate from the rest of the modern world. You are the trees, the woodland grasses, a fragrant wind--you do not work late, you do not care about the memo from HR, you do not care that Brenda's need to hear herself talk has taken over the 3 o'clock meeting, yet again. I can see this on a man or a woman, but you are likely someone with refined sensibilities and a love of gentle, green-leaning perfumery. Testing on a mild, cool day in Texas. It's about 65 degrees. My only concern is that the soapy aspect isn't always my friend, but I'll wear it for a while and see how things go.

Le Pavillon d’Or opens with a fine, pale-beige civet and plush iris. Then there’s a dewy, juicy leaf-greenness and a marvelous floral like the first breath of June. the fig and honeysuckle. Next, it’s dry and herbal (the thyme) with the faintest lingering softness from a fluffy iris-heliotrope mousse. It stays in that white-cream-gray-green, herbal and fluffy cream space for the next three hours or so. And then the thyme deepens, and its slight pepperiness blends with the crackle of sandalwood and olibanum. Beautiful, light green-gold, aromatic woody base. Le Pavillon d’Or feels like a riff on Germaine Cellier’s classic study in pastels La Fuite Des Heures, with thyme and fig leaf in place of lavender and anise. The two scents share a pale, creamy, seamless blend of iris, heliotrope, and herbs. This is one of my favorite Dusitas, I think. The unusual blend of cream-and-green is a subtle, peaceful delight.

On paper: Very pleasant and different. The way the fig blends in with the herbs and wood is quite refreshing. Very subtle and classy. It's always a delight to discover something so original! On skin: Big fig :) I also think the Boronia is pretty strong. I haven't smelled it in real life but from the description "an airy fresh and fruity sweet floral note." it makes sense. The Thyme, the almondy Heliotrope. Together they make a slightly sweet almondy figgy floral blend. That much seems obvious. Maybe it's the oak that's throwing me off. I will keep the sample and try it some more later to see what happens... I like how Dusita's perfumes each pose a small challenge to the wearer. There may be an accord that strikes different, an unusual edge to a possibly familiar scent. Personally I am more attracted to Montri and will definitely start with a bottle of that, after which we'll see :)

What a ride Le Pavillon d'Or is!! It starts one way and then morphs and develops into something completely different. I don't like the opening, there's a weird accord there, but the dry down is very very good, it smells clean and soapy. Then at the very very deep dry down (many hours after applying), I get the oak and sandalwood, really nice. This lasts forever on my skin, with moderate sillage. It's a like for me because I really do not like the opening, which fortunately doesn't last long. Would I buy a full bottle? Nope. But I'm glad I tried it, as this is the most non-linear perfume I've ever smelled.

I was doubtful about trying this given the hype on certain blogs - including a lady who said it was "Shalimar, but better". To me it's not really similar to Shalimar, which is a good thing for me. But it is VERY good, in fact kind of wonderful... I can't keep my nose out of my shirt collar. It evolves quickly (and all the phases are great), and then the drydown is the definition of unisex for me. A little heliotrope, a little herbal/bitter, a vintage glow, airy but persistent. I will happily get myself a full bottle.

I ordered a sample of this due to the positive experience with Erawan. When I first smelled it, I was in awe and thought it was amazing and I needed a bottle. This fragrance is pretty linear in my opinion was the smell was constant. I kept asking myself, what does this smell like? Finally it came to me; old school hair products my mom used on my sister... specifically Lustre’s Pink Oil Moisturizer and Ultra Sheen Hair Dressing (grease IYKYK). Due to this association, I could not wear this.

A pleasant floral woody green scent from Dusita. The scent opens with a prominent orris surrounded by hints of mint and honeysuckle. The heart has a prominent heliotrope surrounded by fig leaf, thyme, boronia and slight olibanum. The perfume settles on a woody base of oak and sandalwood. Feminine leaning scent with moderate sillage and fair longevity. Not the best from this line but enjoyable and distinct. Enjoy!

Not sure what to make of this one, but it's definitely unique within what I've tried so I'd recommend sampling it for that alone. It's almost got a savoury smell for me (the mint and thyme maybe?), reminds me of a thai curry dish I've had - not a bad smell, but not what I'm looking for in a perfume. As an aside, I see no relation to Shalimar whatsoever in any form I've tried.

More floral, powdery, and balsamic than I anticipated, but this is absolutely a green springtime scent. A bit old-fashioned, but not in an obnoxious way - remains close to the skin. This is a very interesting and complex one, and I had to test it a few times to even wrap my mind around it. Enjoyable, but I wouldn't buy a full bottle.

You're a mortar and pestle working on herbs. The crunch of dead leaves on concrete. The crisp, cool air passing through the night, carrying memories from distant coal fires. You're the dusted keepsakes uncovered in the attic. The skipping stones dancing across a stream. Le Pavillon D'Or by Dusita.

Elegant and well blended, soft, powdery wood scent. With well woven aromatic, fresh spice and mint notes. Unique and beautiful, not a safe blind buy IMO. I am enjoying the samples from this house.

I like it - it is fully compatible. Since I am a thyme fan, I would personally have wished for a small thyme corner .. Something that arouses my desire to use it again and again.

This is a very powdery, green, fig scent on my skin, bordering on soapy, but in the best way. If you want to smell fresh, clean, and green, this would be a great choice. Unisex.

This is what forest fairies and elves and gnomes smell like. Earthy, aromatic but dainty and sparkling, just magical. Perfect for spring and the awakining of green in nature.

Cinderella driving a 2nd hand Toyota Camry. I love mint and enjoy fig leaf a lot so I had high hope going in but this fell flat. Outside of the fig leaf every other note is either super weak or blended heavily with something different (for better and for worse). First off the mint here is so weak it might as well not exist. The orris and frankincense give this what I'd best describe as "worn out 2nd hand car interior" -- It's warm, worn out, dank, almost leathery and oddly comforting? Lastly the honeysuckle (and something else?) create some floral aquatic lily pond that's very sweet and gentle (It's almost starchy. It reminds me of a Zoologist's original Dragonfly). But sadly it's accompanied with this vile animalic note (very reminiscent of Erawan's dirty note from the same house but less green). Something in this picture is wrong. This scent is certainly unique (as all Dusita perfumes are) but the main aquatic doesn't gel with the heavier notes and the animalic here AT ALL. The honeysuckle is soft, cutesy a little sweet and brittle but the animalic is quite very warm brooding. They're at total odds with each other. The notes here smell great individually but on the whole something feels very wrong here.

I find Le Pavillon D’Or to be quite a strange and conflicting perfume on my skin, I’m battling between dislike and tolerance, but I know for certain it’s not a love. This woody aromatic is a little too sharp and abrasive for my taste, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad fragrance - it’s simply not for me. The problem is I’m not keen on mint, there are very few mint fragrances I enjoy, and unfortunately the mint here is too much - sharp and scratchy, but made quite bitter and dry through the use of fig leaf, an array of herbs, and frankincense. The soft woods and orris is the only redeeming factor, but it cannot overcome the sheer aggression of the mint. This simply isn’t for me, which is fine. For those that enjoy mint it might be fantastic. Whilst it does improve as it settles, it’s not something I can get along with.

This perfume confuses me. In the opening the honeysuckle is very dominate and I thought wow what a feminine floral fragrance. I also thought I would be wearing the whole sample but as it developed the herbal and woody characteristics took over the sweet honeysuckle and the fragrance became masculine. While I think this perfumer is very creative and this is a creative perfume it just didn't win me over because the fragrance couldn't decide what it wanted to be. Is is a floral? or is it an herbal? or is it woody? It was all over the place. I'm not a fan of being confused by fragrances but if you like something that will keep you guessing give this one a try.
