Rosarine

Rosarine is like pure blissful heaven to me! It starts as a fresh garden of roses with bergamot and slightly tart, mouthwatering sweet red fruit...but it’s not “too” sweet because of the freshness and slight tartness and the base notes that give it a bit of heft...but there is still an almost gourmand feeling about it without actually being “gourmand”. Rosarine is basically a dream rose scent to me and what so many rose perfumes have “almost” achieved for me. They are often too sweet, not sweet enough, too dark, too pink, too green...etc., etc., etc. It’s hard to explain...but I have MANY favorite red rose perfumes that I truly love, along with pink rose perfumes...and fresh roses and dark roses...spring roses and winter roses....and this is like a combination of all of them. It’s the Goldilocks rose scent that ticks all the boxes and can be worn all year long, day or night and by any gender. In my opinion at least! The roses here are like a bouquet of red, pink and yellow roses...so the color to me feels somewhat orange with red edges if you can imagine that as a scent. I often smell fragrances as colors and this is how I smell it. There is just the right amount of powderiness vs juiciness so it’s neither overly “juicy” or full on “powdery” but more a perfect combo of both. There is an earthiness in the base and a warm, smooth patchouli that isn’t overpowering as patchouli can sometimes be. And there is a fantastic incense that comes out in the base and everything just blends together so harmoniously that no one supporting note seems to stand out more than the other. The roses are the star of the show here but the supporting cast is equally important because of the beautiful balancing act created. This perfume is exceptionally well blended and balanced and I could go on and on for days here. I used to basically beg Pissara Umavijani to take the beautiful rose and sandalwood that she uses in Oudh Infini and make a separate stand alone “rose infini” type perfume that is nothing but rose splendor....and I guess she got tired of the begging and just decided to make it to shut me up! 🤣 Because that’s exactly how it feels to me...like an infinite garden of roses and the stuff of rose dreams.

I've been pretty tough on this brand. Not the biggest fan. Although I did enjoy Issra, and Splendris a lot but not enough to buy. I got an excellent deal on a FB of Rosarine in an after holiday sale, basically 1/2 off regular price. So, I decided since so many of the editors that I respect here loved this so much and raved about it last year I would blind buy it. And I am glad I did. With Rosarine I can tell Prissra is starting to come into her own and this is a very beautiful creation. The first spray is quite tart, bergamot and litchi battle for dominance but the raspberry tells them both to quiet down. All 3 blend together to make a very bright purple jam and I agree with the below review it is boysenberry. The rose is dominant, she is the star. I get the jammy sweetness of damask rose but may rose shines here with leather nuances. Jasmine and orris come in and out, but the rose keeps them in check. This is a rose perfume. The patchouli here is a bit earthy but blended beautifully to mimic the kind of feeling of a bit of sentiment in the bottle of very expensive and old wine. I get grassy nuances of vetiver. The dusting Cocoa is slight and very bitter. Don't think this is a gourmand, it isn't. This is a post modern take on classic perfumery. Rosarine is a year round fragrance, like all good classic fragrances always should be but this for me would really shine in autumn. I will still wear this year round. It is just my style, it has a very natural feeling to it. This is an excellent perfume and I would have paid full price but I'm glad I didn't. Now I'm excited to try her new releases. Rosarine reminds me of Jean Patou Joy, not in style of smell but in The way the rose and jasmine do battle. Just when I think it is really all about the rose the jasmine tried to convince me otherwise. The best perfumes give you different facets of themselves while you wear them. Absolutely stunning.

Surprisingly totally unisex! First impressions, a full-depth review coming later. Finally I got in my hands this beautiful new Rosarine! I was happy to have a possibility to test it already a couple of months ago and that sample finished so quickly. It’s so lovely, captivating and sensual Rose on my skin and the rose is there all the time which I love a lot. First it’s slightly more green and fresh but in the same time it’s voluptuous and soft. It gets a little bit creamy during the day and I can notice Vanilla but it never gets too sweet or too obvious Vanilla. Despite of the “gourmand note” this is not too gourmand on my skin which is good. Straight away I knew that there is something which differentiates this from all Rose Vanilla scents and that is the reason why I love this so much. Now as I see the notes I understand this scent more clearly. I’m really surprised now about those, especially about Patchouli and Cocoa but it’s Patchouli which maintain nice airiness in the scent. I was already almost to test this on my man but I wanted to save that juice in the sample so now I was curious to see how this differs on his skin. There is always differences because of the warmth of the skin. That is of course normal in all perfumes but Dusitas has incredible ability to perform more masculine on men and more feminine on women. On my man’s skin only after 10 minutes after spraying this has a darker nuances than on my skin. It’s more green and somehow more fresh and Patchouli is more distinctive. I adore Rosarine in a way I don't with many other fragrances. I was skeptical at first because of all the heavy rose notes- I love rose, although only in a certain way. But this is just gorgeous! Initial blast is off-putting and loud but unsettles me less and less the more I wear it. Then it softens into this beautiful, cool rose scent... a breeze blowing softly through a garden, the scent of the flowers wafting in the air, rather than a forceful plunge of your nose to petals. The incense note is brief for me, but so stunning. I had sprayed this thinking it would be a spring/summer scent, but I wore it tonight while I was out with a friend, and it was simply magical. The air was cold, the sky was a dark blue, and it wasn't drizzling but the air was nearly glittering with rain drops. Rosarine came alive in a different and unexpected way: roses sparkling with snowflakes, a fur-lined hood, rosy cheeks. Truly magical. The winter is my favorite season and I'm so thoroughly enchanted by Rosarine, I can't find the words. 2/16/24 edit: As my nose has adjusted it's definitely taking on a much sweeter, jammier note. Still beautiful to be sure! But not the bright, cool roses I fell in love with.

The longer I wear Rosarine, the more I like it. The rose notes don’t stand too far apart from the others in the mix as I’m not picking them up individually. A very nice blend of feelings so to speak. I get this overall soft rose, fermented fruit, and a dirty but natural musk “feeling” when I’m wearing this perfume. (I understand this doesn’t run parallel to the listed notes.) This perfume takes me on a different Dusita path. This is so much more than a rose perfume, and I don’t think I can really describe it. I’m still pining for the tropical rose in Le Douceur de Siam... that will be my next Dusita. But one thing I know, Dusita made an interesting rose musk brew that heats up perfectly on my skin. Unusual, It’s one of the most persistent scents I’ve worn from the brand, and it’s another love.

I am not exactly a rose enthusiast but this is absolutely stunning. The rose is sweet and a bit tart at the top which I expect is from the fruity notes which I cannot exactly pick out but blend beautifully. The I get the orris and musk mallow stage and it becomes a bit powdery and creamy as the vanilla and sandalwood appear. Throughout, there is a transition of roses, dancing throughout the other notes. I am really loving my sample and plan to purchase a bottle once it's available. This one really surprised me quite a bit because I never get this excited about a rose dominant fragrance but OMG the combination of notes and the playfulness of how they interplay is just gorgeous. I can see wearing this all year round. Love.

I have a collection full of rose perfumes, but this one is FBW, worthy of keeping in my collection of other strong rose contenders. I live in a warm climate and don't often wear my cool-weather leaning rose perfumes, the ones with amber and spice. But this one--the rose is particularly beautiful, and the opening is a bit mature from the patch, sweetly leaning into amber and spices. It's very wearable and unique somehow, with hints of berry softening the overall effect. Projection is solid from 1 spray, and performance is decent at maybe 6 hours. Holds up well in 85 degree heat without being cloying. Gorgeous.

Wow this is stunning! I got oud in the beginning....I suspect it’s the incense. But then a few hours later it turned into this dreamy scent and I can’t stop thinking about how it changed. It gave me MFK Satin Oud vibes and I think it’s a classic scent that people will be talking about for years. Much like the older scents back in the day. Pissara knows how to create a classic yet modern scent and I can’t wait to try more of her creations. Think 80’s powerhouse scent but more modern and tantalizing. It’s too heavy for daytime, I will use this as a date/night time gem. Breathtaking!

This pulled EXTREMELY tart on me, which I enjoyed immensely. I mostly got a tart, almost pucker-inducing raspberry jam and everything I love most about rose as a fragrance note. It starts out with the intensely jammy rose/raspberry/bergamot mixture I mentioned before turning somewhat soapy. Later on, the dry-down has a cozy powdery vibe that I really enjoy. It lasts for more than twelve hours, although it becomes a skin scent after about nine hours. It reminds me of a more jammy version of Delina minus the incense note.

A stunning rose in the style of pink Turkish delight with vintage pink soaps and tangy bramble jam. It’s soft, elegant and delicate. I wasn’t a fan of Meliora but Rosarine refines what Meliora should have been. There is a similarity to Rose Jam, but again this isn’t as brash or unrelenting. There’s a blackcurrant/rose combo in this which reminds me of the dark velvety-petal smoothness of Rose D’Arabe but the longevity with Rosarine isn’t as good. Perfume perfection, crafted by a truly beautiful soul.

Its a beautiful rose with a sugar tone and a fruity base that folds the aroma into it. In the same vain as Rose Omeyyade, the aroma is almost the same but here is more toned up and with more depth, the wood, the fruit, the rose is all dancing together. if you like rose fragrances you are going to enjoy this one. If you like the DNA of Radical Rose this is a good version. I do pick up the natural side of the rose here and more during the opening.

It's like a walk in a cloudy Baltic forest, drinking a cool compote of cold raspberries, other wild berries and rose petals. I come across patchouli-scented plant thorns and tree roots. There is a lot of air and a restrained aroma of Rosaceae that grow among the shady trunks. This perfume is not particularly flashy, but it gradually creeps into the heart like a snake. The slightly sweet, non-cloying sillage is good. Unisex, wearable for two.

Saturated, immodest, lusty and sweet, Rosarine is a celebration of ripeness and fecundity. This is the garden that is bursting with fruit at the height of ripeness— nearly, but not yet overrun by summer’s bounty. The fruit facets of lychee and raspberry contribute to the vision of the large red rose fully opened: lush, brazen and inviting. Rosarine would be Anna Karenina’s perfume. It has catapulted into my top five favourite perfumes.

Rosarine is one of my 5 favourite fragrances. However, in the UK there is a very limited choice of Dusita fragrances available to purchase. I wish Dusita would arrange more stockists in the UK who carry the full range as it is a big market and I’m sure they would do well. I would love to sample other fragrances by Dusita but I’m not prepared to risk buying from outside the UK with all the costs that involves.

I sprayed a sample on my Best friends mother for easter, at first the most beautiful blast of roses and bergamot, later the roses kind of battle for positions, then a mild soapy vintage jammy roses surprised me down memory lane about that beautiful vintage feel about it, happy and festive. We had a great pairing with a lambrusco bubbly wine and mimosas, fantastical and festive.

I dabbed a sample on as I got dressed and found it a bit heavy for my taste. It's a fruity, rosey chypre and was a little sweet for liking when I first put in on. Once I hit the cold air other notes came through! I the incense mixed with the rose is beautiful! After a little while the sweet/fruity part fades and bit and it's perfect for winter 🩷❄️

This ended up being the fragrance I gifted my now-husband for our summer wedding. He'd made it clear he wanted to wear a rose scent. This is gorgeous. Slightly soapy and vintage in the opening. The cocoa, vetiver, patchouli, and benzoin provide warmth and roundness in the base. Surprisingly addictive on any gender.

I have a love-hate relationship with rose scents as many of them feel just toilet air freshener for me, but this has the layers and slight complexity i miss from a lot of rose fragrances. Very much LOVE!

Just when I was positive I could not tolerate yet another rose and patch perfume, Pissara comes around and shows me how unique it can be if conceived and executed by an artist. Okay, perhaps that's a little effusive, but this is hitting all the right spots for me. It's a rose that seems perfectly poised between fresh green and jammy, as well as fruity from supporting notes of raspberry and litchee. The patch gives it a slight woody edge, that meshes well with the sandalwood as a base. The two types of roses make a powerful combo, and one could be deceived into thinking it was a soliflore, specifically in the opening. The roses endure throughout the life of the perfume, but the other notes seem to ebb and flow, changing the nature of the experience at various times, depending upon what note - orris and incense mostly for me - comes forward throughout. So far, it's the most potent Dusita I've owned or tried, with the possible exception of Melodie de L'Amour, which is an extrait. It projects beautifully for the first hour or so, slowly softening to a skin scent, or rather a "few inches above skin" scent. I still want full bottles of Melodie de L'Amour as well as Douceur de Siam, but this is now added to my want list. I have two 2.5 ml samples, and I think that will last me through fall. MdA is pretty pricey, so it may have to go on my Xmas list. As for DdS, I will find a way to work it in as well. It's not that often that I am blown away by rose as a primary note, though there are a few. Rosarine now belongs to that small group. 3/2/24 - FYI, I purchased Douceur de Siam a while ago. Quite beautiful. Still haven't gotten Rosarine. 11/27/24 - I accidentally purchased this in my sleep! I was on the Dusita site and put it my cart for some reason I now forget. I then fell asleep, and inadvertently must have hit the order button. It wasn't a planned purchase at this time, but since I planned to purchase it someday, I'm just going to say that fate intervened!

Rosarine by Dusita is bold, elegant, and mature. The rose in this leans vintage, romantic, and a little mysterious. It feels earthy, almost dusty, paired with deep aromatics and a faint hint of that classic lipstick vibe. It reminds me of a woman in her 40s or 50s — radiant, confident, and graceful, but with stories to tell. She’s not trying to act young or hide her age; instead, she leans into it, walking and talking with elegance, experience, and seduction. She knows she's still the winning prize and willing to entertain anyone who's ready for a thrill and excitement. The scent feels rich, feminine, and a little old-school. It’s edgy and dark in a way that sets it apart from the modern rose fragrances I’ve smelled — no sugar, no sparkle, just confidence and allure. That said, I was expecting something different based on the note breakdown. I don't know why but something in here gives me Polo Green vibes and I really can't stand that fragrance. I can’t see myself reaching for it often because that old-school vibe I'm getting doesn't really pull me in — but I still respect the artistry and uniqueness of it. This is for someone who wants to make a serious statement with their rose scent.

A gorgeous dark boysenberry colored rose emerges up off the skin in a cloud of jammy spicy velvet right after spraying this. It has pretty enormous sillage, although maybe I sprayed a little more than I normally would knowing the subtlety of some other Dusita fragrances. This is a dense, gorgeous, hefty 3-d rose. To my nose the other notes either just add to rose’s essential floralcy or give it a woody dark base to emerge from. This is really about rose. The only issue that I had with this perfume and what prevented it from being an absolute love is the slightly pungent almost animalic undertone I got in the first couple hours during both of my test wearings of this. I’m not sure what it was. I don’t see any clear suspects in the notes. I almost suspected a drop of oud, but no... maybe it’s the ambrette combined with patchouli? I don’t know. I don’t smell it in the cloud of intense rosy sillage rising around me but only on my skin and only for the first hour or two. Maybe it’s just a skin chemistry thing. Other than that I absolutely fell for this glorious full bodied rose that embraces its own extravagant nature so enthusiastically and shouts “I am Rose, hear me roar” to the world.

This wasn’t what I expected at all. The opening is incredibly strong and immediately strikes me as vintage. Instead of a bright fruity rose, I get dense rose, smoky woods and incense, creating the impression of wood and fruit slowly burning together. It’s quite overwhelming, and my first reaction was simply: no. Fortunately, the fragrance changes quite a bit after about 30 minutes. The smoky, old-fashioned character settles down, allowing the fruit and florals to come through. What’s left is a much softer, feminine scent that sits somewhere between fruity and floral, with smooth woods in the background. While the opening was a miss for me, the drydown is far more wearable and enjoyable than the first impression suggested. In a matter of two hours I went from an immediate rejection to being curious about giving it another chance. Will definitely continue testing it.

At the heart of this is fragrance is the most gorgeous, jammy rose. Everything else, the fruits, the ambrette, the woods, the resins, revolve around it to enhance its beauty, without ever distracting from it. This is the kind of rose I would absolutely crave in the fall or early winter. It is a heavier scent, with substance, and a hint of darkness. It's not as thick as POAL or Porpora, but trends in that direction while still retaining its fruity brightness. As summer is right around the corner, I'll put away my sample for now and revisit it later this year. For spring/summer I prefer Dusita's La Douceur de Siam, but Rosarine is without a doubt a stunning rose!

UPDATE: Despite my positive review, am not fond of a super-sweet fruity note (lychee?) that lingers on my skin into the next day. * * * Launched in 2023, the feminine eau de parfum Rosarine (meaning "queen of roses") is multifaceted, luxurious, ideal for spring-garden galas or formal candlelit evenings. I got a blind sample of Rosarine from Parfums Dusita. Thank you so much for letting me be part of the note-guessing contest, it was so much fun! This is a lovely, sweet, fruity, jammy, rose-dominant scent. I immediately guessed that it had Bulgarian rose and patchouli. The fruity note is also there, but I thought it was black currant. My grandma used to make a rose petal jam when I was little, it was extremely sweet and I could only eat a couple of teaspoons full at a time. Rosarine is not that sugary by any means, but it did remind me of my childhood and my granny.

This one is not at all linear and unfolds beautifully. The opening is initially a little strong/synthetic for me, but that doesn't last. And once this settles in, it is a beautiful woody, slightly creamy, edgy rose. It is a fantastic option for layering with other scents to make them a little more floral or feminine. I love adding this one to some heavy ambers. Or, I'll add a vanilla perfume to this to make it slightly creamier if I'm looking for something cozier. A great option to add to your collection because it is so versatile.

Fruity rose. A parade of roses, a cascade of roses. “It smells amazing. Is there a fairy in our house?” my mother asked me as I walked down the hallway toward her. Rosarine is as strong and sweet as sunshine. She’s tart like a squishy gummy drenched in sour sparkles, as fruity as a hot pink popsicle on a summer day. She is pursed rosy lips sucking on a raspberry.

The Bergamot along with Bulgarian Rose starts out as a bitter sharp blast on my skin, reminding me of Lush Rose Jam. Once the the initial sharp bitterness dries down and the May Rose makes it's appearance. Rosarine becomes much more pleasant and rounded. Love how Rosarine evolves on the skin. Longevity is eternal, sillage enormous, one spray lasts forever.

5 stars for the beautifully crafted rose scent, but there are many similar ones on the market, at least I wasn't as impressed by it as many other Dusita perfumes. Rose lovers should try it! 7/10 It reminds me a bit of Montri (the rose note), and better rose in here.

This is a very feminine rose fragrance. You have to love rose to love the scent. It is a bouquet of roses with different colours and different types. I like the scent but since I have too many rose fragrances, I probably wouldn't buy it.

Opens potently with jasmine, plum, and honey, ushers in rose and praline, eventually developing slightly mossy amber.

A beautiful, sweet, jammy rose !

It's a strange sort of rose perfume - I am mad about rose scents, and own quite a few, but this is very different, and to me it is not all that rosy. I get some quite unpleasant notes in the opening, and wanted to wash it straight off. There is something dirty there, really off-putting, and I hated it. But after about half an hour I began to smell the rose plus patchouli plus woody scents that everyone here raves about, and I started to enjoy it. It still isn't good enough for me to buy a bottle, though. I love Caron rose scents: their Rose, N'aimez Que Moi and Or et Noir (now discontinued, sadly) are my absolute favourites. I was looking for something to replace Or et Noir in my collection, but this is certainly not it. Still looking.

So not a blind buy, at least not for me. Since most of us are probably not near France and will have to buy a sample first, spring for one of those samples, not a whole bottle. I love Dusita's Montri, which I blind bought, but although the notes in Rosarine seem innocent enough, there is something off putting. Dusita tried too hard to bring out an unusual rose scent or something. I think it's maybe the ambrette and jasmine combo. It needs more incense to balance those off. I wonder what type of incense note they used; it seems pretty tame to me. But they probably didn't want to have yet another rose-incense-patchouli bomb, and they certainly don't have one here.

I got a sample of Rosarine hoping for a fresh rose forward scent, but on my skin it is more fruity than rose. Actually it reminds me of black currant jam rather than rose. It is not a bad scent per se. I get a realistic black current jam with a hint of pink rose. Not a bad spring and summer scent for those who are interested and like this scent profile. Definitely feminine, I do not see this on a man. The performance is average, moderate to intimate sillage.

I envy folks who smell lush dewy garden out of this. I get rather dry, spicy rose not so different from many rose-patchouli combos. It's very similar to Montri in the opening. I'd definitely prefer Le Douceur de Siam as an opulent rose frag over this.

It has a quite punchy opening, but after 30 minutes, it mellow into a pleasant, mature rose scent.

Very Very sweet when I tried the sample

This fragrance is not for me... I was curious about it, so ordered a sample - I am happy I did it before buying it. This reminds me of a cheap easter perfume from my childhood, and it smells like an old lady. I can't understand the hype about it.

A beautiful fresh rose with a juicy tart jamminess that is so so lush. And yet. Something that is also holding hands with all that beauty and, for me, ruining it utterly: Cigarettes. 😭 Is this what is meant by 'crunchy' patchouli? I don't know. All I know is that the most lovely rose is right there and I can't enjoy her. I have never liked campfire, incense, or tobacco notes because I detest the smell of smoke and especially cigarettes, so sadly I have to pass. Although it's not smoky, it's definitely cigarette like. Imagine the most plush red rose blooming in the summer morning, dewy, fruity, but right beside it is a bowl of unsmoked cigarettes and as much as you try to focus on just the rose, you can't because the rose is so masterfully intertwined with the cigarettes. If you don't mind this note or even gravitate towards it, I think you'll really like this lovely 'dirty' rose.

Pink roses in the rose garden I really like the opening of Rosarine because you can feel those very young May morning roses at first, although here they are adorned with thick honeydrops. It's very morning-sleepy when the sun is just lazily rolling out from behind the horizon, but you already know it's going to be hot today. But the dawn comes as if in fast-forward, and here you are already plumping face into a bouquet of fat burgundy roses with fruit jam, or even a mix of fruit jam and rose petal jam (I have one in the fridge, beautiful madly, immensely sweet). On my skin, roses eventually begin to smell like dried, slightly dusty buds, but the fruity honey sweetness just stays forever. Rose lovers will definitely love it because there are so many of them lush and abundant here.

An explosion of roses 🌹 A beautiful gigantic bouquet of lush jammy roses and green dewy roses, laying on a bed of moist fertile soil. When I first tried this new fragrance last month, in cool weather, the incense and patchouli were predominant. Trying it again a few days ago in warm 30 °C weather, the heady sweet and fruity rose scent was all I could smell for several hours. Recent Dusita releases have been quite long lasting and Rosarine is no exception. Rosarine is a must for true rose lovers. I wouldn’t be surprised if this one too gets an award ❤️

I didn’t expect Rosarine to be so heavy! Rather than being light and rosey, Rosarine is quite old-school: spicy, dusty, incensey, powdery, fruity, sweet, cloying. It’s winter now, so it’s kinda tolerable, but in warm weather it would probably be absolutely suffocating! It smells like a mixture of two legendary Guerlain fragrances, namely Nahema and Mitsouko, so you get the idea. If you’re into that type of scent, then Rosarine is a good investment, because it is very strong and lasts for ages.

This starts super citric and juicy, I initially thought it was grapefruit. You can then kind of pick out the rose with something a bit dirty in the background that I thought might be civet but I guess it’s the patchouli. At first I wasn’t crazy about this but then I gave it a second try and did about 3 sprays on my sweater and was surrounded by the juiciest fruity rose, I really like it. It lasts like crazy too, still on that sweater from days ago.

At first spray, it smells like Tom Ford Rose Prick layered with Diptyque L’Ombre Dans L’Eau Eau de Parfum. As it dries down, the musks really start to come through...and it does have a bit of a resemblance to Oudh Infini. The final product smells like a more friendly version of Juliette Has a Gun Mad Madame. It's a nice scent, but basically what I am saying is that everything about it smells like other rose scents before it.

Don't like roses in general, just can't stand them. But Dusita has two unusual roses—one in Fleur de Lalita and one in La Douceur de Siam —fresh, young, cheerful May roses in exotic company. And I thought there might be a friendly rose in Rosarine too. But no—there's a different rose here - overwhelmingly heavy, mature, old-fashioned. I'll pass this one by.

I got sent a blind sample by Eau My Soul. This is a very sweet jammy rose with some citrus in the top and patchouli and ambrette which makes it very warm and a little bit dirty and somewhat screechy in the base. Honestly it’s not to my taste at all, it’s far too sweet, but I know some people like that sort of thing.

I really enjoyed wearing my sample all day and I agree with all of the positive reviews below. It is a beautiful fragrance but you have to enjoy rose. Probably not FBW for me as I am a liker of rose more than a lover of rose. If I was going to have a true rose perfume, this is one to have.
