Emperor Aurelius Noir

I must say that this compared to Galerius, and Tiberius for 2021 releases is truly the darker of the few batches. There is much more incense, or anise going on that mutes and creates a longer lasting middle performance, or accelerates from the opening into the middle more quickly. As far as the Parfums Vintage fragrances line goes, with regards to Aventus, Emperor Aurelius Noir stands out to be more of a 15y11, 16M01-esque take with a darker batch variant vibe going on. Their 50ml bottles are cuties, but you guys know there is another level of allure going on with the 100ml bottles. In my opinion, Parfums Vintage has knocked it out of the park again with this item. I've been having a good time through the fall with this item, and am still not done with it for this winter -- straight banger. Edit: I threw up a bottle on Fragram for you guys to see the depth of the color in the juice. Edit 2: Purchased another few bottles, and added pictures. Up top, very fruity, woody, and licorice. You could argue that Parfums Vintage took the best elements of 16 batches and combined them with the smokiness of a 2011 or 2013 batch. this could be considered a balanced "smoky" batch. The smoke is present but its also balanced and not overpowering like Beyond Noir. The problem is, a lot of people don't get smoke from this iteration. I do, I get hints of that Beyond Noir smoke, but it's very subtle and mixed really well with the fruity woods. If not smoky, definitely very dark and peppery. With Maceration, this could become even smokier, or maybe I just don't have enough experience with vintage batches so I think the smoke smell is really just woods mixed with anise. This & Tiberius are my favorites so far.

You all know what Parfums Vintage is about. So this is a darker, smokier iteration of Aventus, very close to the smokier batches at a good price too. Emporer edp is still the king for me, but this is a good choice for those who like the extra birch and musk.

Nice Aventus clone. Better than modern batches. Pineapple sitting on a bed of blond wood and mild patchouli. Very chemical and aromatic. Causes anosmia. Smells good! I prefer Maximus or some of the Vintage Pineapple blends.

I got this as part of their 5 piece sample set, and this one is not a bad Aventus dupe. According to the Parfums Vintage website, this is supposed to be the second smokiest of their twenty (dear baby jeebus help us all) Aventus dupes. This starts with the trademark pineapple smell of Aventus, but that quickly swaps out for the lemon-pinesol smell you get from some Aventus dupes. But this lemon note is smooth, not at all harsh or screechy. There's a soapy note to it, like you've just stepped out of the shower, and then there's... black licorice, like NewFragCity pointed out. This is an interesting take on the Aventus DNA, not at all what I was expecting, but DAMN is it nice anyway. Edit/Update, 3/2/2024 I came back to this fragrance to try it on today, and I think letting this sample age for a few months did something odd to it, because now it smells like someone tried to blend Spicebomb Infrared with Aventus in a 3 to 1 mix. I got compliments on it today when I wore it out, but it's a headache inducing MESS. It's gonna be a big no for me on this one.

I acquired this fragrance as part of the Inventus Inspired Sample Set, which also includes Emperor, Extrait, Tiberius, and Galerius. These fragrances vary in their levels of smokiness, with Aurelius standing out as the smokiest to me. Initially, I detect a hint of mint in the opening, but as it dries down, the fruity notes become more prominent. During one of my wearings of the smokey batches (Galerius), I received an immediate compliment, despite my fondness for the fruitier ones. Regardless, if you have an affinity for the smokier scents, I would highly recommend trying Parfums Vintage and Aurelius Noir in particular.

Imagine the muted smell of black ice air freshener (the pine tree you hang in your car) with the addition of ambergris/sweet musk . Does not really smell like Creed aventus other than a noticeable dark depth that aventus has. It has sort of the deep blue "fog"? of chanel (but it isnt actually "smoky") so, I sort of see why someone put that. Much closer to aventus than chanel. The thing is it has sort of a peppermint in here somewhere. Smells good though!

This stuff is actually really good, I go nose blind but receive many compliments after few hours. I can smell this on others after hours also. The smell is more mature and would suit anyone 25 plus but this is a great Smokey alternative and very well balanced to aventus. Longevity is great projection is average but wish this would be beast mode . Tiberius was also very nice, gallerius was below par and seemed like a scented cream with no character
