Isla Tropical Prive

Incredibly, incredibly similar to VIW. This is nitpicking, because it really is very close, but the lime is the TINIEST touch more synthetic smelling. Like lime juice vs an actual lime. But I don’t think I can't stress enough how much I have to laser focus to find any difference at all. Like 99% the same smell in the opening. Maybe only the perfumer that created this could tell this wasn’t the real thing if blind tested. This one also has a bit of an advantage over VIW. It’s got about 2 hours more longevity. So, in my opinion, I can think of very few reasons not to get this if you are wanting a better performing exact replica.

This is better than Virgin Island Water, I would say it's about 90 percent similar but leans more masculine. The coconut is toned down, and lime and bergamot are amped up. It's the smell of a mouth-watering mojito. I genuinely love this scent profile. It's chic, refreshing, and evokes tranquility. It's hard to wear on a casual basis as it is very coastal and tropical, but I love the scent nonetheless. I hardly ever go for clones and am not really a fan of the rest of the house, but this one and Rush of Unicorns Intense were a huge surprise for me. Well done.

Very comparable to Creed's Virgin Island Water but with a little more lime, a little less coconut but a lot more longevity. A better imitation than the 20 different spins on Aventus that PV puts out. A little pricey for a dupe but it may be worth it.

First of all, I don’t consider Virgin Island Water such a great perfume. There, my opinion. If you ever had a Cuba Libre with lime then that’s how Isla Tropical Prive smells. Like Syrupy fizzy Coca Cola, sugary rum and lime. Lots of lime. Afterwards the sun tan lotion arrives in the form of a sticky coconut. Coconut is way more prominent in the Prive version than on Isla Tropical. Surprisingly the citrus notes are persistent well past the middle notes. The drydown is more refreshing, a good scent for warm weather. It turns into a skin scent quickly, although it last longer than the original Isla Tropical.

This perfume smells like a tropical drink. Not my vibe but I will say this if you love beach perfumes w/ lots of tropical fruits, rum, coconut, lime etc.. you will love this. It smells like a vacation at a fancy resort, all the smells that would be there, the drinks, the suntan lotion, the rum. It has all of that. I'm just not into perfumes like this but my baby sister will love this sample!
