Rush Of Unicorns Intense

I am VERY surprised since my first impression over how close this is to MI. I usually don’t gravitate to clones but heard this house uses good materials. I still want to do a side by side. But, I sprayed it, and I had that look of, “seriously?!? This is that close?” Side by side update within the next few days. Update later: Did side by side. They are like 98% the same to start? As it dries down they start to become slightly more different. I think MI is retains it’s blend of notes while RoUI has notes that stand out more. Im SUCH a Creed fanboy but is RoUI better???? Maybe it is. I mean I admit to liking Morning Chess by Vilhelm Parfumeries better than Aventus so maybe this IS better too? This is so good.

Whereas the original, was reminiscent of sweeter, muskier batches of Millisime Imperial, the Intense version recreates those saltier and much airier batches of MI, with amped-up salt and ambergris. Sweetness is still there just toned down, and the overall scent feels more balanced and breezy. With that being said, this is still a freshie and performance is moderate, I get about 4-6 hours. Much more refined and luxurious, than the horrible Armaf which is harsh, synthetic, and riddled with rusty smelling ambroxan. This one has class and quality to it.

I started my enthusiasm of men’s scents with Creed Millesime Imperial (it was a gift). I still have it, but I sought an inexpensive alternative and sampled all of RoU line before settling on Intense. It may be similar to MI, especially the older batches, but it’s no full copy or clone. It’s more spicy, robust and masculine, but not overbearing; last longer too. Compared to Club de Nuit Milestone, RoU has no harsh synthetic opening, probably due to premium ingredients. RoU stands on its own and comparisons to MI serve it poorly.

Absolutely incredible, mindblowing even. This absolutely shits on the current version of Millesime imperial, which is essentially just water with a few drops of perfume oil. Longevity is fantastic, 7+ hours and sillage is good at arms length for the first couple hours. Buy this, don’t give GREED your money.

This one is the best ROU. Lasts the longest and projects the most. This is my wife’s favorite as well. Never smelled the older batches of MI, but to me this smells better than the current batches. Also, smells quite better than Milestone... smoother and overall more pleasant.

I wholeheartedly agree with a previous review, this just blows Creed MI right out of the game, period. I have an older batch of CMI, and this smells EXACTLY like it. But with much better performance in every aspect. I will no longer buy CMI again.

Opens with a hard to describe synthetic notes but that’s usually the case with many Parfums Vintage. Thankfully , slowly it starts to develop into a smooth and clean fragrance. It’s a really nice perfume, easy to wear and good for any season.

A little bit saltier and muskier than Creed MI, but still an excellent dupe. A great value for the price. A winner.

I much prefer the original Rush of Unicorns. The original is closer to MI, even if it isn't a 1:1 clone by any means, but it gets you into the same space when applied. Intense is different and way more unisex, I gave the bottle to my sister as she liked it quite a bit. It lasts longer than the original though, so that's something.

Loved Millesime Imperiale, hated the longevity/sillage. Went with Rush of Unicorns Intense. The melon note is very prominent, and I’m not getting that melon with Millesime Imperiale. I assume the sample of MI that I have is a newer batch, but I could be wrong. I’m just not seeing the closeness too much here. To be fair, the liquid in my bottle is very clear, versus the liquid shown in fragrantica’s photo. I’ll let it sit and report back if it’s improved. Great scent, nonetheless, but was hoping for a close interpretation.
