Vellichor

This really is one of my favorite scents of all time. IMO this smells better than Layton. I have the Vellichor Supreme version which is more potent. Yes, it's linear but I don't care as it just smells better to me, and I get that awesome open throughout the life of the smell. I have asked a few other people what they think of Vellichor vs. the Layton OG and they feel that it smells better than Layton as well. I have also tried Alexandria's version and out of the three. They are all good but for me, this is the winner by a bit. I will be buying another bottle JIC they discontinue it. The cost nucking futz for a clone though, especially one that is priced similarly as the original visa discounters. It kind of defeats the purpose and that is why other than the PFV Pour Homme Intense (Gucci Envy and also awesome), I won't be getting any more fragrances from PFV. There are too many other clone houses with quality products with better longevity that are still reasonable. I don't find the performance of any of the 16 or so fragrances from them to be stellar at all either, especially the price. At least the real Layton with you get a cool bottle, not so with PFV. The smell is pretty damn good though.

Never smelled Layton but this smells amazing

Taken as a stand alone fragrance it is very nice, it is incredibly similar to the Layton (the fragrance it is inspired by) for the first few minutes then Layton develops while vellachor stays quite linear. With that in mind if you like the opening of Layton then 100% you will like this however if your looking for something very similar to Layton throughout the life of the scent then this may not be for you. Also was able to get a 125ml bottle of Layton from a discounter for £30 more then a 100ml bottle of vellachor costs so given that it's only a fraction more expensive to get the real thing I would recommend buying that instead. I don't regret the purchase because it is a nice fragrance but I do think it's priced very high relative to what Layton costs from discounters.

The PV company's perfumes have a unique character. The maceration process will likely take place at home. Sillage and longevity aren't very noticeable at first. I have 23 of their perfumes, including ones not listed on Fragrantica. I've experienced the same issue with many of their perfumes. They approach the original while maintaining their spicy flavor.
