Emir Smoky Leather

Here is my take on smoky leather by Paris Corner First spray hits with a fleeting resemblance to Tom Ford Ombre Leather probably sharing some of the same chemical structures, though that similarity is gone within seconds. About 30 seconds in, then the smoke begins to emerge. For me, it's mild. I’m used to stronger, denser smoke notes in Perfumes, so this feels underwhelming and way too industrial for my taste. My main issue with Smokey Leather is its industrial character. The smoke here smells synthetic and flat, rather than organic or realistic. When I compare it to something like Cuoium, the difference is clear. Cuoium’s smoke blends seamlessly with its animalic and leathery aspects. It feels raw yet refined basically the smoke travels through the warm leather Cuoium also carry this odd Funk that I like. Smokey leather on the other hand is lacking that. Cuoium is like an avant garde fashion piece that challenges norms. Smokey Leather, on the other hand, feels like a watered down, polished, safer version of that. Think Zara’s interpretation of experimental couture... It also doesn’t evolve much. Cuoium is dynamic, shifting and revealing layers as it dries down. Smokey Leather stays linear and predictable. On its own, it’s... fine. I don’t like it, but I’ve smelled far worse. At its price point, it’s passable maybe even respectable as a thing on its own just don’t expect complexity or artistry here. I definitely disagree with the person that was claiming that Smokey Leather smells “ten times better than Cuoium.” That’s an overstatement. Cuoium is complex, textured, and Experimental. Smokey Leather is an affordable imitation that lacks character. But ultimately, if you enjoy it, that’s what matters. Not everything needs to be at a niche level experimental. Just be aware of what you’re getting : a simplified, safer take on a much deeper concept.... Update smoky leather is better than it was after the maceration.. definitely worth the money.

When i first got this fragrance I didn’t know what to make of it, the smell straight of the bottle is super strong, almost making you gasp for oxygen, its really strong, but at the same time very unique, i never smelled nothing like this, not mass appealing but very distinguished! When i later went to actually try it i found 5 spray was waayyyy too much, it was so strong that i couldn’t even get nose blind i was just smelling it left and right (I was in a car for most of the day so it was quite annoying). Later at night when the fragrance dried down it became a beautiful smoky almost balsamic smell that warmed my body almost like a coat, very pleasing, i got compliments but not as in “oh you smell really good” but instead very interested compliments like “wow thats so nice” surprise positive compliments. What i took from it is dont wear this if youre gonna be in a closed space, only in the street and open air spaces, and please never in day time, strictly night time scent. Very good, for the price (22€) its okay blind buy but you may not like it beware. 8/10 (price in consideration)

Emir Smoky Leather by Paris Corner 🇦🇪 is a true beast mode! I mean I can't emphasize enough how strong it is, and I like that in a fragrance, otherwise what's the point of having a weak fragrance? It defeats the whole purpose. 📈 It is inspired by Cuoium, but it smells ten times better as it has animalic notes, saffron, leather and that smokey powerhouse 🌫️ 🌫️ I tried Cuoium and it was just smoke to me, with nothing else! The smoke in Cuoium mutes everything else, which is too bad as you expect an animalic leather from it. (I found out later on that Hard Leather by Laurent Mazzone is the true animalic leather beast of all time 🐆, it's what Cuoium & Nishane Afrika Olifant aspire to be 🐆 ). Emir definitely doesn't disappoint at all, and for the price and the performance of it, it's a hidden gem 💎 A video review is also available on my YT ▶️

In my opinion amazing fragrance. Performance is well above average, the smell is pretty intense. Very dominant leather scent, but sweet background with the vanilla, and a little powdery as well. The opening is a bit harsh imo, but overall the fragrance reminds me of Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. Im planning to let it macerate. For now 7.5/10, great for cold nights and very mature. Edit: The longevity of this is insane. I sprayed it last night at around 11pm, one spray on my wrist. Right now its 12:45, i didnt even have to check if it still smells, i smelled it off my wrist as the fan was blowing. Insane longevity, and the projection is really good too.

On the dry down it takes me back to a night by the fireplace in an old hunters' chalet. Unfortunately, before that it's impossible to smell anything other than the alcohol. I'll let it rest for a few months hoping some of it evaporates. As it is, it's almost like spraying straight ethanol. I do see the similarities with Cuoium, though this is inspired by and not a copy of it.
