Mawj Cognac Blaze

Straight of the bat. I have to say this because this parfum should be recognised more. PLEASE! Stop comparing this to Killian Angel Share. And stop calling it a Angel Share dupe/copy. It is not. It is much more closer to Killian Old Fashioned and this is what It's resembles very closely. Price to performamce on Cognac Blaze is insane. Two 100ml bottles less than $155 AUD! 200ML!!!! Considering Killian Old Fashioned goes for around $600 AUD and that's one 100ml. Want two? $1200 AUD..... I easily find that Cognac Blaze is the better peformer and more complex parfum. It smells closer to a Cognac/Rum Old Fashioned made with mandarin and has the mandarin peel as garnish, that bitter sweet oil in the rind lingers adding a citrus freshness. While no booze is in Cognac Blaze, is certainly has a nice quality of booziness. Smelling like a good quality cognac or a rum that has a strong scent of mollasses. Then coffee beans, fresh coffee beans comes to mind. There also is a slight smokiness coming through... Smoked mandarin old fashioned? Could be... This is sounding more like a very good cocktail now hahaha. I could go on and on about this fragrance.. But there is enough reviews and impressions. Tonka and vanilla also come through with a touch of sandalwood and black pepper. On the dry down, it becomes a little less sweet compared to Killian Old Fashioned, but I prefer this as it also does smell a little smoother and more relaxed. I find it lasts on my skin for 8 hours maybe 9. And on clothes, easily can go for a whole day. Absolutely love this stuff. Easy to over spray though, but It's high up there with some very nice boozy fragrances. Right next to Lubin Idole, Bentley Intense, Killian Black Phantom, Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin, Frapin 1697, Atkinsons Pirates Grand Reserve and many others. As in, It's boozey, warm and perfect for cold days & nights. As always, your nose is the ultimate judge. But for me. This gets a 50 outta 10. Especially when comparing it to Killian Old Fashioned. No they are not 100% identical. But judging the two as separate colognes and both trying to be something similar... Aka represent a smoked mandarin old fashioned.... Cognac Blaze does it better. It has more citrus and air, the booze isn't as heavy as to Killian Old Fashioned but it is better in how it compliments every other note. Think of it as a more refined Killian Old Fashioned. Great stuff !!

First impressions on this after 2 wearings: This is a richer, darker, more balsamic version of Rich/Warm/Addictive from Zara... It is basically an improvement to that as far as I see it... I will let this sit and see if it changes, but I like this a lot at first sniff... And it performs better than that one Will get back with thoughts after a few more wearings.. EDIT So, I've worn this a few times... It is fairly linear, with a bit more freshness in the opening... The main theme of the scent is a coconut-y, balsamic vanilla with coffee and a boozy feel to it with a smooth sandalwood note underneath... I don't feel like there is a boozy note to it, rather the boozyness coming from the way the vanilla is used.. It is very mass-appealing , rich, a bit playful, but also has an elegant edge to it.. As for performance, this is where this shines a lot.. It screams off my skin quite a lot, lasts till I wash it off (on clothes can last over 1 week), but it never becomes overwhelming... It has an airyness to it that makes it so attractive.. I paid a little over 20$ for this and at that price that's a steal! Hope this helps! Take care!

FRESH OUT OF BOX EXPERIENCE: just received today at 14:45 Applied at 1500hrs 2 sprays one at back of my hand and other on inner side of elbow. No messed up alcohlic blast, but slightly confused opening for me which settled very quickly within minutes and became boozy caramel latte coffee vibe. Kept getting whafts of that beautiful mellow yet rich coffee/latte smell for atleast 6 hours and now at 22:30hrs its skin scent still strong enough to last unless washed off. All in all if you like this kind of scent profile, its not going to disappoint you, outstanding performance which is going to get better with maceration, moderate projection, not too intense and sweet to cause a headache like khamrah qahwa, rather soft and toned down which works perfectly for someone who is not looking for headache inducing intense experience. 9/10 for me

I've had a decant of this for a while, and after months of convincing myself I didn't need it, I ended up picking it up regardless. It's less dense and syrupy than Khamrah, Royal Blend and the other fragrances it often gets compared to, but I think it actually works to its benefit. Its airy presence and citrus top note make it significantly more versatile in the spring and fall, while Khamrah and friends can be very overwhelming in comparison. It's also quite nice for layering, to add boozy depth without interfering with whatever you apply on top of it. If you don't care much for nuance in syrupy boozy scents, this will likely feel redundant to you, but I'm personally quite pleased to have this in my rotation.

This stuff is great, very very nice pleasant smell. Not overpowering in any of the notes, and just a perfect interpretation of this line of dupes for angels share, but also may I add, don’t buy this if you are looking for a carbon copy for Angels share, it is not that, out of the two I prefer this fragrance, it is wayy more wearable. But if I were to describe it, its a blend of khamrah qahwa, angel share, and then somehow add in freshness and citrus, in best subtle way.

Silky smooth. This is a fantastic scent (all 3 in this line are). Zero maceration on first wear. I wonder what it will grow into, if it's this great right out of the box. I know the scent profile is every where right now, but this is definitely worth having. Add Moscow mule and the Appletini to your collection as well.

I tried this one today for the first time... omg, its strong and I did just 3 sprays. Its definetly for the autumn and winter time, nights which are cold. Its not boozy, but its spicy, coffee type of fragrance. Tonka is coming out in drydown and I love that. Generally, a good fragrance.

My new Favorite and I love it! It's not a straight up clone of Angel Share. Can't compare it to Khamrah either and Yes have some similarities maybe 20% It's his own thing and that's for good.

my first impression off initial smell is that this is really good. Its not overly sweet like khamra I've never smelled angel share but for the price I would give this a shot forsure!

This stuff is damn good. Think I like it better than both khamrah's. 10/10.

Mawj Cognac Blaze is airy and sweet at the opening, with a bit of a bubblegum-y thing. A suave reinterpretation of coffee in Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa. There's something reminiscent of another Paris Corner's creation, Khair — likely the davana note gives that bright and green similarity. Interestingly, I discovered that the coffee note in Cognac Blaze is surprisingly similar to another bottle — Linn Young Silver Light Man — offering the same impressions regarding 'coffeeness'. The scent unfolds in a fairly linear fashion; after a while, a strongly peppery-spicy layer emerges. It feels very well balanced. When sniffed up close, it presents coffee-fruity-green facets, while in the air it forms a bubble of dark vanilla smoke with spices. There's an alcohol note hiding somewhere deep in the mix, but it's so well integrated, you'd never guess it was there unless you were actively hunting for it. What sets it apart from others in the genre (and I own quite a few) and really gives Cognac Blaze its character is the undercurrent of myrrh smoke. The sweetness that typically tips the balance toward the feminine side is diminished, making this composition decidedly masculine — more suited to an older wearer during evenings and cooler weather. Perfect for someone who leads espresso-fueled negotiations in a wood-paneled lounge. The projection is somewhat weak, trailing behind other Khamrah-like scents, but the longevity is very good. Ultimately, it's a simple and fun twist on Khamrah Qahwa. It doesn't seem sensible to buy it when you already have one of this type unless you're a fan of the Khamrah motif. As overhyped as any other TikTok-shilled fragrance. For the rest of us, it's a solid, honest offering in any case, just enough nuance to keep things interesting. I get the rest of the dupes of angel's share but, this is definitely a game changer. I have Khamrah (travel size) and had Khamrah Qahwa (bottle), which I've noticed that it gives me headaches whenever I smell them for an extended period of time on myself due to some synthetic, headache inducing note hidden within. However, this one is very smooth, balanced, less sweet, with a hint of myrrh (balsamic raisins) in the drydown, and has good enough sillage. These are the exact qualities most clones don't have, and I'm so here for it. I found this at a very unexpected moment, it was a free sample that came with other samples. Edit: doesn't work on skin, but does a great job on clothes.

I'm not sure what it is about my particular unit, but this smells like a spiced black coffee with a minute dose of sugar and vanilla to me. A bit too dark of a fragrance for me personally. Doesn't smell like Angels Share or Khamrah Qahwa to me or even Old Fashioned. The first and second are much brighter and effervescent gourmand fragrances, and the third gives a classy fresh and well groomed gentleman vibe. This gives me Turkish black coffee with a hint of sugar and spice.

I bought and loved Moscow Mule, but Appletini and this have just not been for me. This smells too old-manish for my taste. Something about the Myrrh or some other unknown accord gives it this damp leather smell that the sweetness is covered in. I couldn't find a decant of this but was curious, so I blind bought it on sale. Never blind buy. Edit: I came back to this and it has grown a little bit on me. Still not something I like much, but it's better than before.

Bought this as a blind buy at Burlington because I like new finds. Sounded very interesting with the notes. It is similar to Khamrah and is an Angels' Share clone. The vanilla, tonka, musk is well done. It projects well and lasts all day long. Took a bit for the cognac to mellow out but now it's pretty amazing and definitely as good as Lattafa Khamrah if not better.

I tried this for over a month. Whilst I like the initial opening. The pepper notes as it settles is not for me. I feel like this would have been gorgeous if the dry down turned into a more sweeter one than the spicy peppery smell. It’s ok, I genuinely like Sharaf blend better compared to this.

#1358 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This smells like a half-hearted attempt to copy Lataffa "Khamrah Qahwah." Freshly applied, this smells like it's 2PM in the afternoon and you applied Khamrah at 6AM. Khamrah Qawah watered down. And since the price differential is niggling, why bother with this?

Absolutely love this. I get mandarin in the top with a hint of black pepper, but its the smooth blend of myrrh, sandalwood and tonka that knocks my socks off. So smooth and mellow. This stays close is not a stong projector, but I can smell in my personal scent bubble. Perfect for hugs. I even sometimes get a dry coconut whiff even though there is no coconut listed. It is NOT A.S. it is maybe a more refined cousin of Khamrah, still not the same. I think you can have both in your collection.

Quite sweet so may not be for everybody. Extremely long lasting - can't get it out of my hands even after shower. Don't think to long about it and just buy it. You won't be disappointed

I see mostly men here, but I love this fragrance. I love all of it's layers. It's a well blended fragrance. I like it much better thank the Khamrahs. No super spicy cinnamon notes...it's smooth.
