Ophidian Black Cherry

Ophidian Black Cherry opens with a vibrant burst of cherry, YES. There's CHERRY. Thick boozy cherry with raspberry, and bergamot—an inviting trio that instantly awakens the senses. As the fragrance unfolds, the heart reveals a soft swirl of praline, Damask rose, heliotrope, and jasmine, adding richness and a touch of floral sweetness. The base brings warmth and depth with guaiac wood, palo santo, ambrettolide, tonka bean, patchouli, vetiver, and a hint of pear, creating a woody finish that’s both smooth and grounded. It's a heavy perfume and longevity is about 7 hours. It projects nicely and leaves a nice trail within the first few hours. Someone said, "it's a Vampyre perfume". Lol. I have to agree. It does really give off the dark and mysterious gothic vibe. It's very similar to a combination of the Burning Cherry perfume and TF lost cherry. The bottle is very cool and absolutely gorgeous.

I have been wanting this but hesitated bc of the oud. After just finding an oud fragrance that agreed with my chemistry, I bit. Very glad I did bc umm, this is the dark, sultry, cherry I have craved. The opening is a lil boozy cherry blast mixed with the other fruit. Then the praline smooths the slight bite from the raspberry & bergamot. The heliotrope adds a sweet yet subtle powdery essence which smoothly blend to the rose as it comes in. The rose is not dark, it’s more like a pink rose bud. The oud welcomes the base notes which are a lil spicy on my skin. The dry down maintains the spice blended flawlessly with a cherry oud. I have edited bc this has changed, it is sweeter, still everything above, just a touch softer. Lasted 8 on skin, gotta wash the clothing. I layer over Cherry Kiss oil, perfect together. 50/10

This is very unisex. There's a dark black cherry opening that sticks around, theres also florals, lots of woods, you can make out the guaiac and Palo Santo .. with maceration the woodiness of this fragrance got stronger.. and it's not too sweet to be Feminine and not too woody to be masculine either.. either view it as a sweet masculine fragrance or a darker sexy feminine fragrance depending on your perspective. If you're looking for something more sweet and feminine (also lasting) that still has a nice juicy cherry note and florals but less woods, try afnan cherry bouquet. To me that is more cherry in the dry down. The Woods in this are not too super-ambery thankfully so it's not sharp, it's relatively smooth which is nice. It smells complex and perfect for fall and winter. Great scent.

I don't get why Cherry is not listed as a note here on fragrantica because Cherry is very prominent to me in this fragrance.. it has a very juicy black cherry that is prominent throughout and stays on your skin unlike the kayali version which fades away. This is a very boozy woody fragrance though with a bit of florals so you have to like all those notes in combination, but it doesn't have any strong ambry-base notes though unlike some middle Eastern fragrances it's still quite smooth in the base. I don't know why on some people it doesn't last to me it lasts a long time I've sprayed it the night before and still smell it in the morning. Do we have the same fragrance? Cherry is the main note here just confused why it's raspberry because I don't get raspberry.

This scent is everything i wanted in a perfume. its dark, on me i smell it very smoky (something that i love). At first i can feel the cherry but in a few minutes, i can really smell the oud (not the biggest fan), but when its all set, gives the perfect dark, elegant, mature perfume. But my problem is the bottle. im not a fan of extra bottles, even tho this one i kinda like, is still very unpractical. i got this perfume TODAY...and the cap comes of so hard, that when i tried to open the bottle...the snake literally fell of. and the leaf is hurting my hand when i try to open the cap. based on the scent only...this perfume is 100% worth it.
