Qissa Gala

Blind buying this was a big risk for someone like me who lives in constant love/hate with both violet and powdery fragrances, but I had faith. Qissa Gala has the most beautiful drydown I have smelled in a very long time and it was so worth it! Every single flower here is creamy and sweet without getting cloying thanks to the powdery musky touch. I can clearly smell the almond and coconut without any of them getting overpowering, and I believe this is a well-rounded fragrance thanks to the moss note kind of wrapping it all up. Not an 'old lady' flower fragrance at all, just sweet creamy flowers with violet as the main character where every note has its voice and moment but none of them are louder than the rest. I get compliments every time I wear this and a friend even bought it after smelling it on me. It is so good, powerful and projecting yet kind enough to be worn to the gym. I could easily wear this every day!!

I love white florals so I’m happy with this. The violet and creaminess from the coconut makes it almost Candy-like, but not quite. I went in blind with no point of reference with Easy Bake, so I really didn’t know what to expect. Actually, the violet gives it a cosmetic powdery note like lipstick from the 80s, but not so strong that it has that waxy throat sting lipstick notes carry. It starts sweet but dries down on the floral-powdery side. Because of that note I wouldn’t be surprised if I see the cliche “grandma” descriptor in the comments, but I think it’s quite pretty. I see this as an all season fragrance , save for autumn( just my personal tastes, but wear when you want, of course). A winter and spring daytime scent and a summer night time scent.

When I first got my bottle and sprayed it out, it smelled like one of my dad's colognes from the mid 80s... I think it was Grey Flannel - and it was a big no. But after a few days of letting it bloom, Gala turned out to be a pretty and unique fragrance. I have never smelled Easy Bake so I can't compare it, but this reminds me of Brookside dark chocolate acai blueberries. Creamy with mild sweetness and the perfect amount of fruitiness. From the notes listed, I get tuberose, coconut, almond, sweetnotes, and the violet leaf adds a touch of greenness. I can see this becoming one of my lifers.

I had given up on liking this fragrance. When I first received it, it was too quiet. Too subtle. Too nothing. Fast forward a year, I pulled it out and now I finally get it. This Is Her, Mont Blanc Signature, it's in that category of fragrance and then add violet (I know they say Violet leaf but I get straight violet) and a pinch of plum. This is beautiful. This is much louder now than when I bought it. Definitely a keeper for me. So so glad I didn't declutter it... Cuz it was a gonner a few times.

Qissa Gala is such a beautiful soft, smooth, fluffy white floral fragrance. As it dries down the heart & warm soft base notes are more evident: tuberose, coconut, lily of the valley, and plum along with creamy florals, vanilla, sweet notes, musk, and moss. This scent reminds me of a soft, smooth, well blended Lactea Divina & soft (not spicey) Petra mixed together. Would be great for everyday wear in any setting.

I must be one of the very few that genuinely loves this. I guess a lot of people went into this thinking it would be a gourmand and were disappointed by the strong florals, but for me personally its what I love about it. It reminds me of a more sweetened version of Amarige. 80s/90s white/yellow floral bomb with a modern creamy gourmand twist. Great longevity and silage. I adore this one.

This is such a stunning flormand. You know when a fragrance is crafted so beautifully that all the notes just melt seamlessly into each other? That’s exactly what happens here. I was a bit hesitant at first, since florals can sometimes feel too heavy for me, but not in this case. I ended up loving it far more than I expected. In my opinion, it’s absolutely a must-try.

These negative reviews are wild! I loveeee this fragrance. I’m sooooo over all the viral bakery gourmand fragrances. This is a lovelllyyyy floral perfume. Immediately a win for me right out of the box. So feminine and flirty. The notes remind me just a bit of the yellow Gucci Bloom but less screechy. 🌺

I absolutely love this fragrance. I loved it straight out of the box. It has beautiful soft florals, creamy almond and coconut all being rounded out with the musk and vanilla. To me it has a vintage pressed powder vibe, like what Marilyn Monroe's compact would smell like. In the best way possible.

Gorgeous all year round cozy white flower scent. Harsh opening due to ylang+gardenia combo, but the chaos start to settle after 5minutes and dries down beautifully on skin to a creamy sweet white flower heaven. If you like white flower and sweet scents like me, this is absolutely for you!

Wow. I am deeply impressed. This reminds me of two combined from my collection: Apres l'ondee and Insolence both Guerlain. A beautiful carnation, (I smell carnation, but not listed) violet with a lot of sugar. Just as beautiful and long lasting as Guerlain.

I love this and am on my second bottle! Oddly enough, I didn't like it at first, at all. However, I went back after a while tried and fell in love with it!

This is a very thick, warm and cozy fragrance. Very strong!! For me this is a go to winter fragrance ❤️

This smells like a beginner level floral for anyone that wants to try it. Smells great to me 8.5/10

I bought this after hearing that it was a dupe of Easy Bake from Huda Beauty and never got a chance to try Easy Bake when it was still available. I really like Easy Bake Intense and figured I'd give Qissa Gala a try. It definitely has that powdery white flower DNA present in the Intense version but is much more fruity and sweet in the opening. There is a mossy green pop at the beginning that fades rather fast, which is nice because it is a lot of fruity floral notes all at once and is a bit busy. Once it dries down, it becomes a creamy, warm, and powdery feminine scent that lingers softly. I like Qissa Gala layered with Cherry Crush from Good Chemistry and then either a touch of Eclair from Lattafa or just the tiniest drop of Angel's Share from Kilian. It is an excellent layering scent I don't find this to be an old lady scent but I can see the strong floral notes coming off that way to some. I agree with other reviewers that say if you don't like white florals then go ahead and skip this one. Overall, chances are if you enjoy the Easy Bake Intense you might like this, especially layered with sweet or spicy gourmands.

First spray on paper: I want to love this, but I get this very sour, pickled sweet cucumber scent. Can’t stop smelling it though, it has promise of the florals and most importantly for me, the almond. On skin: the pickles are still there initially, but they quickly fade. The initial vibe is orange blossom water & almond cookies, with that feeling you’re gonna regret eating one, because someone got a bit overenthusiastic at the expense of your tastebuds. Lucky, on my skin, the dry down deepens into a more sweet, musky and dry soapy warmth that is very cosy and quite mature. It smells like Nivea’s older sister. So for now it is a firm “like”, we need to get to know each other better before I can fully commit.

It is nice. A clean, almost soapy fresh white florals. If you’re not fan of white florals that are listed on here, don’t bother. But if you love white florals & want an everyday clean, almost powdery & soapy white florals, that is also fresh & has some elegance to it, you might really like it. It’s new to me so I’ll update later maybe but so far it’s a successful blindbuy. I love these notes tho, so it was fairly safe blindbuy to me, if you don’t like these notes, don’t bother please & save us the “too white floral” negative reviews. Thank you!💕

I loved Easy Bake and was bummed I didn't get a back-up before it was discontinued, so I was pretty excited to see someone finally did an 'inspired by'. I will say it's not identical,but very similar, especially in the drydown. To me, Gala leans more coconut and almond heavy. Still very powdery floral with a touch of the candy sweetness,but the coconut is more dominate than I'd prefer. The initial spray/ first 10 minutes or so are very much 'powdery cosmetics'...the drydown is where the creamy sweetness happens and it's lovely.

Sparkling candied (mostly white) florals. It kinda smells like the metallic purple color of bottle. 🤓 ‘Gala’ is very good right out the box, especially considering this is not at all my usual gourmand scent profile. Without a doubt the best constructed and longest lasting flanker in the line up so far! I got a good 3 hours of real performative wear, when I get no more than an hour with the other Qissas. Miss ‘Gala’ will be an easy grab this spring, I will likely only be wearing this after showers until then. 😇💜

I just got her and to keep it 💯 i can’t say I’m so excited about her. But I am used to middle eastern perfumes and sometimes they need to sit. So I’m willing to wait it out . I will say as of now it’s very green and old lady white floral. .... It does dry down to a pretty soft easy bake scent .. but you have to be so patient ... which I am not lol 😂

damn , this was a wonderful blnd buy . i dont know the perfume this is supposed to be a dupe for but this is good . its the perfect mix of sweet and green and the leaf and almond notes are very strong when you first spray it , i really love it , i ll update on the longivity but all in all its a 7/10 for sure lovely everyday spring/summer scent .

Beautiful soft candied violet scent. Very feminine and reminds me of expensive makeup. If you are a fan of geurlain insolence, you could enjoy this as well. They are not the same but of the same family. First spray of this was a little scary but the dry down is gorgeous. After maturing I think this will be even better.

I was nervous to get this because of all of the negative reviews but I actually really like this. Is it a love ...no but it's a very pretty creamy sweet fragrance on my skin chemistry. Glad I bought this. I think this will be so pretty on a date night in the spring.

Very strong white floral notes and powderiness. Almost a cozy floral to my nose. I do not get the sweet notes.

I got this as a gift from my older sibling, it actually reminds me a little of Victoria's Secret Midnight Bloom, except this one is much stronger and more overpowering. On the dry down, I get a really prominent sweet white floral scent. I can't smell any gourmand in this, just pure strong floral def smell the ylang ylang. Personally, it's not my favorite because it's just a bit too intense for my taste. It projects really well, lasts a long time, and can even feel a little overwhelming if I spray too much. That said, I actually wore it to work and the office quite often, and I've gotten a few compliments while wearing it bcs people can smell it. For me, this is more of a mature fragrance. The dry down is honestly pretty, but the opening and overall strength can be a little headache-inducing for me.

Yep. I did it again - I fell for the hype. Officially the least sexy perfume in my collection. Zero sex appeal, a big no for date night, zero connection... But I’m trying, so... My fix is a combo: one spray of Noble Blush and three sprays of this one. The creaminess of Noble Blush smooths out that overly powdery violet gloom - that “’70s auntie at a Christmas visit - with the red lipstick and forced kisses” vibe. Even then, this combo gives more of an “after-shower, alone on the couch with your emotional support snacks” vibe. No sex appeal here. Alone on the couch. I dread being in the mood to reach for it. Edit: Another combo is one spray of this and one spray of Nafais Sharq. Surprisingly good, since I don’t like either of them on their own.

First impressions, reminds me of toilet freshener when I was a kid when they had those round fragrance crystals you’d suspend in a swan 🦢 shaped hanger. I loved those things so there’s a bit of nostalgia collecting those air freshener swans. I have Qissa delicious (which is so beautiful it’s in my top 5 fav scents), I have the blue one as well, which is still growing on me but has potential in the heat. But this one I’m not loving the scent atm. I think I will put it away for a few months and hope it improves 🤞. Will review again after it settles in.

I love white florals and occasional yellow florals, in this one however i can only smell the ylang ylang with a very green note which I suspect is from the violet leaves. It smells very "old" if you get what that means. Not offensive to my nose but nothing outstanding even with my love for ylang ylang. Also it reminds me of the smell of a burial wake. (a little macabre lol)

I had higher expectations! It’s not a bad scent but for me it’s just to powdery and heavy (in a bad way). I usually like old-school perfumes but they did not get this one right. I will let it macerate for a while though. For now, I’ll give this one a weak 5/10.

It’s an over powering floral, stronger than easy bake. It can be headache inducing for some, a good scent but sample first if you can. The strong floral starts to smooth out after an hour and leaves a soft dry down.

It’s kinda weird...the scent. I find myself occasionally spraying it on skin and then on a piece of cloth...going back and forth...trying to figure out the scent and trying to decide if I even actually like it. I mean, I don’t exactly dislike it...but I definitely don’t love it. I picked this one up from a return vault on TikTok and I can see why it was returned...because it’s kinda a weird scent. I’m no scent expert & I’m not sure exactly which note is trying to turn me off...but it’s there. I’m really trying to keep this one in my collection...but I don’t know...I don’t know...This is definitely NOT a safe blind buy...even for almost free.

Huh... No. It's a creamy and balsamic powdery floral. Usually, I love this kind of smell, but here there is no contrast, very linear, very "Maroussia" kind of smell, despite of a very well blending notes. If you love Maroussia (not a dupe, but same balsamic effect), you should like it.

I was really excited about this one, but it's one of by biggest disappointments. All I smell even if freshly applied or in dry down is a scent of boiled green beans. I waited to macerate but still the same only less screechy.

There’s an overpowering, sharp lili of the valley note that smells synthetic, cheap, & unblended. Ruins the fragrance. Nauseating. The OG, Easy Bake, didn’t have it.

Too heavy and strong,causing me nausea with over whelming floral notes . Dry down is a bit better but the initial memory lingers on. Definitely not a blind buy.

No, I don't like it.. there's too much conflicting notes going on . The almond and coconut and florals .. everything together just smells somehow like a strongly scented dish soap ? Or like an air freshener that's making an attempt to cover up bad smells.. It's quite plasticky and powdery and overwhelming synthetic florals .. and very unpleasant and cheap smelling, Shame though because people is my fav color and I love the bottle.. I'm no longer going to trust any of the reviewers that said this smells good.. I know you got a free bottle but shame on you .. but nobody will think you smell good wearing this I'm sorry.

I can definitely see how this smells like Gucci Bloom this smells awful it’s a very strong powdery floral I can’t believe they say this is close to Easy Bake I don’t see that I didn’t get any sweetness just a HEAVY White Floral

All you smell is violet and moss. it's a green but soft fragrance. and it smells exactly like a bathroom air freshner, which is why it is NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY. i regret buying it.

I just excitedly purchased on a whim at Burlington for a good price. Because I love the smell of my Huda easy bake setting powder. I missed out on the limited fragrance launch. Honestly I don’t understand negative reviews and I don’t get old lady vibes. I’m trying to place my thoughts. Maybe 90s creamy coconut, almond white floral lotion or some rollerball scented floral oil or yes makeup as it originated from huda powder makeup. But that’s on first impressions and it does project nicely and last long on skin. Because i could smell it on my shirt and arm the next morning. Not to mention the really nice dry down is so nice. Imagine if they made this a candied violet instead of violet leaf. I need to let this sit out for a while and see what develops as with all middle eastern fragrances do. But this is not bad in any way. My teen son likes this on me so there’s that to the people thinking this is an old lady scent. :D

These negative reviews make me sad! This is the review you need to read. If you DON’T like yellow florals, creamy, or tropical scents... pass on this. But if you do like those, you’ll love this. It’s a modern take on classic floral perfumes from the 80s and 90s. A little creamier, a little sweeter, less offensive but in there you still have that grown powdery floral. You better like all the notes listed because you’re going to get all of them. It’s very well blended to the point where I really I have search for the specific note in my mind when I smell it. I can see this being a go to in spring and summer and actually plan on taking this on my beach vacation. I say this as a person who owns over 100 fragrances and plenty of designer and niche. This is an easy grab if it’s your vibe. Can’t speak on longevity yet BUT I can say after a few hours on my skin it’s still beautiful and is taking me on such a pretty journey.

When I first received this and smelled it out of the bottle, all I got was heavy white florals. But when I gave it a full wear... OMG sooo beautiful! This develops beautifully on me and lasts a great time too. I sprayed it heavily this morning and now 10 hours later I am still getting whiffs of it. Not sure about the projection but you can definitely smell it on yourself and it is so unique and pretty and powdery in the dry down. The plum, musk and vanilla shines the most on me about 1 hour after spraying it. I own the easy bake powder and I get the comparison to that scent although I have never tried the easy bake perfume. If you are hesitant about this scent, trusttt and try it on yourself! might just work wonders just as it did for me! It does smell slightly strong when you first spray it but it settles down rather quickly and beautifully. I'm so pleasantly surprised with this dreamy, angelic cloud like fragrance

Okay first off, yes the deep dry down is similar to easy bake. But the road getting there is nothing alike. This starts out as a very nostalgic floral from the 80s. The Gardenia, the tuberose, and the powdery musk could be straight out of a crowded mall in 1985, all that's missing is the smell of cigarettes. Then the heavy violet comes in the announce it's presence. To me this could be a distant cousin of the new playmate by mind games. After sitting on your skin for a few hours, it does smell similar to Easy Bake, but I think a lot of people will scrub it off before then.

This is done so well. The floral and sweetness and cosmetic powderiness. I've never smelled Easy Bake, but if it was anything like this, I get why there was such hype for it. Perfumes can be sexy even if they don't have "darker" notes like patchouli, etc. In fact, I usually find perfumes like this more sexy because they seem more natural. This is sexy to me. A freshly showered girl where you can still smell her bar soap and a faint breeze of her shampoo. She has just applied foundation and set it with some powder.

Qissa Gala is delicate, feminine, and perfectly balanced. It feels like a breath of fresh air in spring but would totally work all the way into late summer or early fall. When you first spray it, it’s all white florals, but let it settle for a minute. The mix of tuberose, coconut, lily of the valley, and plum adds a creamy sweetness that’s super fresh and vibrant. But the real magic happens as it dries down. The earthy moss, vanilla, and musk kick in, giving it this warm, smooth finish that feels just right.

I love it, so feminine, it smells white and yellow floral with a touch of green that fades away quickly, I interpret the green like fresh cut flower stems, and then it’s a violet floral with powdery sweetness, with a touch of vanilla in the drydown. The scent profile reminds me of ‘Don’t Get me Wrong Baby, Yes I Do’ from Libre d'Orange. Not a dupe of that, but like cousins.

I ignored the reviews and description and bought based on the notes. I was looking for a light floral violet, and this is on the money for my nose! Powdery violet with a hint of floral. Not at all gourmand. It’s a lovely fragrance!

It’s just not good. It has just something very harsh and bizarre about it. I’m not getting sweetness, kinda just a musty floral. If your a floral girl and think this would be a safe blind buy it is not!
