Strawberry Pound Cake

I've been on the hunt for the perfect strawberry fragrance. I've bought dozens so when I saw Paris Corner had released Strawberry Pound Cake, it was an easy blind buy. This isn't exactly what I was looking for, but I'm so glad I bought it. I was looking for a marshmallowy fresh strawberry, something sweet and nostalgic and fluffy. This is definitely fluffy and its definitely marshmallow, but in a much more grown-up way. The strawberry is a syrupy jammy yumminess and it's got a nuanced musk note that elevates the experience. I don't typically love musk, but in this it works really well. I love that this doesn't smell like anything else I own. The projection is arms length and the staying power is 4-5 hours.

very much photorealistic pound cake with creamy strawberry icing. does not smell like bbw at all, and in comparison, that one is a lot more synthetic smelling than this one. i was a little nervous seeing the coffee note tbqh, but you don't get any of it at all. mature and elegant, but still with that playful strawberry sweetness.

I am smelling all the notes above in the same order. This is fabulous.Creation. No dupe. Just open it, but pretty sure she is going to bloom and to be stronger especially on the milky drydown. Just wait if the longevity is missing 🩷

Probably the worst longevity I have ever had in a fragrance. The opening is wonderful but it literally disappears so fast and dries down into nothing. Update: I've had it for 2 months now and it is far better in longevity and projection, though not a beast, I can significantly smell it much more for much longer. Also the smell has blended much better and I really love it. It has this light biscuity smell to it with strawberry jam layered between. It is cakey but more like an angel food cake, very soft and airy. Its not buttery or yeasty. I do get the milk as well though its not very standout but blended in. Its also not extremely sweet but it is sweet. Perhaps it would have helped to be a little sweeter, to give off the icing vibes the bottle conjures. I really like it anyway and Im glad I waited on it. I got the BBW strawberry poundcake in the meantime to scratch the itch and that one is definitely more synthetic and overwhelming. I also get way more strawberry here than there, the BBW emphasis is on the creaminess and sweetness but here I think they wanted to more accurately capture strawberry and cake, though I think they could have made it slightly more ultra dessert like the name implies, but its still cute and definitely a nice smelling perfume. Probably wont repurchase though as I like to be blown away. Further update: Wait a minute this has come together! It actually is far more full bodied, sweeter and ultra gourmand yummy strawberry jammy icing lickable now. I wish I hadn't sprayed about half of the bottle before it got to this stage! Now it is fully poundcake not angel cake. Wow guys keep it macerating for at least 3 months it will completely transform into deliciousness. Unfortunately these middle eastern brands are shooting themselves in the foot by releasing them when they dont smell nearly close to what they are actually designed to smell, cos a lot of people may write it off when it smells so piss poor in the beginning months. Anyway now I really love it, I can definitely see myself repurchasing this now.

I really wanted to like this one. I have done a paper test and it's definitely synthetic strawberry, which I don't mind, but the opening notes are a bit jarring. I can't pick out any specific notes immediately aside from strawberry. After a few minutes I'm starting to get the pound cake buttery creaminess. Hang on, I might maybe be getting some coffee notes? I think maybe I like this one after all. This was produced in January 2025 and it's October 2025 now so I don't think it needs to macerate, really. I'll have to do a skin test and report back. I do LOVE the box and bottle design, super cute. UPDATE: It was strongly strawberry at first, but there was kind of a strange undertone. I didn't like the dry down in the end, had a very old-lady smell to me. Was a bummer. On an upside, it doesn't last too long on my skin, maybe 4-5 hours?

I think people are mistaking what this is. It’s no fresh strawberry and it definitely doesn’t resemble bbw strawberry poundcake. I get a very realistic strawberry reduction, like the jelly you put on top of a strawberry cheesecake or shortcake. It’s not that fresh strawberry. If you ever made a strawberry reduction you know the smell I’m talking about. Strawberries in the pot, a cup of sugar, a squeeze of lemon... it’s super sweet, zingy and a tad sour and the thought of tasting it makes your jaw lock in anticipation. The added creamy notes really help balance it. When I first sprayed it I could swear there was some kind of Spice in there but that’s gone now after a few weeks., If you like gourmands and don’t necessarily care about smelling grown, you’ll love this. Fun, flirty, carefree, sweet. It’s strawberry done in a unique way.

ive really wanted this for a long time since im type of person who deeply enjoys gourmand parfumes, desserts, cakes, bakery , pastry etc. For the first 5 minutes, it really has this specific same strawberry cream smell every other product has. after that more creamy, vanillin and warm smell really came out. i liked the feeling, but still doesnt satisfies me with the bakery smell. it doesnt have artificial vibes but still doesnt give the cakey smell but more like a sweet shower gel.

I’ve had mine for about 2 weeks and so far all I am detecting is sour (milk), yogurt with a faint hint of strawberry (and can’t even say a fresh or compote jam-like strawberry bc the sour aspect of it is front and center and takes over) 😩...I REALLY hope she evolves and develops from the sour milk yogurt w/a tinge of strawberry she’s giving now into something reminiscent of strawberry pound cake or short cake 🥺. She seriously smells like you have a yogurt in the fridge that’s been in there for a minute and you’re not certain if it’s still okay to eat, so you take a whiff to gauge things bc you can’t tell visually and that whiff slaps you in the face bc she’s teetering on the verge of going bad—where you’d wisely decide to play it safe and just chuck her in the trash and not risk it. I’ve read several ppl say her longevity sucks, but if she’s going to stay w/her current funkiness, she can keep that smell short-lived bc right now, she’s giving me “hell nah” and “hard pass” vibes...Believed in her potential, but so far she doesn’t want to be all that she can or should be and that’s disappointing bummer. I am hopeful she still might evolve into a yummy strawberry pound cake fragrance—especially reading a few of the reviews who sound as though she living up to her name, but doesn’t last long. I would be happily content if she smelled like her name and it was an issue of longevity bc I could layer her at least. I’ll keep her in a dark, dry and cool spot and keep checking her weekly to see where things stand over the next couple of weeks or so. I am happy for those who are enjoying her and aren’t experiencing the same things! Not the end of the world, but was looking forward to what I imagined she smelled like and wearing her.

To my nose, this is a very strong lactonic fragrance. The strawberry scent is quite tart especially in the opening but does not overstay its welcome. It becomes soft and stays in the background as the milk note becomes the star. Unfortunately, this was a scrubber. Whenever I get a waft of this, I get nauseous. At first I thought this was down to my skin chemistry but nope. Sprayed this on a paper towel and clean shirt, the screechy lactonic scent is still there (it has been 2 days since) Can't smell the coffee note and the florals. There's a slightly spicy, maybe aldehydic note?, that my nose detects with the sweet milky scent. I was expecting this to be a creamy and fluffy milk. But it's a perfumey(?) and mature take on that scent profile. Will let this rest hoping that the notes will blend together nicely, perhaps the strawberry and the other listed notes might come through more. For now, it's just an okay fragrance but it's not for me 😊

This is okay. Not great, just okay. 😅 ‘Strawberry Pound Cake’ must be Paris Corner’s take on Oakcha’s PaulReacts collaboration, ‘Strawberry Sensation.’ They both focus heavily on Strawberry frosting/icing notes and so thats likely why they closely resemble each other. What differentiates them most is that this has a very cake-y baked good’s quality, it must be from the coffee as there are no actual cake type notes. I think for the most part its pretty well done and accurately reflects the namesake, offering a true Strawberry baked dessert experience. The worst offense this fragrance makes is longevity. 30 full minutes and this is gone, undetectable. Its a freshly produced bottle that hasnt had proper time to blend and maturate, but regardless the performance has been pitiful. Im sure in 6+ months I’ll see improvement like most of these new releases. 😇

The opening of this is very synthetic strawberry that was cloying, but the dry down on my skin started smelling like a strawberry butter cake, almost photorealistic. I can't smell any of the florals or the coffee. It's okay when you can still smell it-------- which isn't very long. I feel like this lasted a whole 10 minutes on my skin. I won't be getting a full bottle as I already have other strawberry scents that are better.

Smelled this in a local mall. It was just ok.

Got this at Burlington $40. It smells very strongly at first like strawberry yogurt. Kinda like rancid milk. Then it dries down very, very quick...it disappears almost. Then you're left with like a musky-coffee smell. I'm going to set it aside for a couple of months to see if it gets any better. 😖

Artificial smell of strawberries and somewhat lactonic. I get some of the cake odor but no white florals. Tries to be too literal for me and seems more syrupy sweet. Doesn't seem like a perfume. Have to pass.

smells fine, but longevity and sillage are almost non-existent. this is basically a very overpriced body spray. you might as well get the B&BW one because it lasts longer.

Not what I was expecting. Not getting that pound cake and sadly the strawberry is very strange. Not quite the plastic doll strawberry and not the scent oil kind either. Just weird, weak, and unbalanced. Not sure where they were going with this one but I couldn't even gift it away since the sprayer was really wonky. Just pass on this one.

Screechy, fetid and foul. Even the cashier at Burlington said it was too strong.

Stick to the original bath and bodyworks strawberry pound cake body spray. It's the perfect scent in my humble opinion , for this category. It's not synthetic chemical smelling, it's an innocent and pleasant scent. Lasts decently for being body spray. These middle eastern brands are consistently disappointing to me when it comes to longevity, they seem to water down the smell so most last very very short, less than 1 hour. That's okay for the price I suppose

Very disappointed in this one. I sprayed and got an opening of Strawberry Quick milk powder, not a horrible scent but certainly no coffee or lemon. And after that? Absolutely nothing at all. Nose to flesh ten minutes later and nothing. Oversprayed then, like crazy, and again fifteen seconds of strawberry milk and then zilch. Complete and total waste of money and expectations.

Nothing special. I'm getting sick of all these "influencers" raving about these scents just because they want to secure their free supply. Just a chemically sweet concoction with a bit of violet and musk. Just skip it. Edit: after a few tries, I fell in love. The opening is kinda strawberry yoghurt but after that goes its a lovely sweet and powdery scent!

Strawberry milk. This will be popular with girly girlies for sure! If you like Yara (the first one), this is part of the family. I do find that the performance is way weaker than the Cheesecake or Biscuit from this line (monster performance).

this is vile. the coffee is super prominent and bitter. it's like if you took gas station black coffee and sprinkled the crumbs of your strawberry poundcake into it.

I had high hopes but found this to be very disappointing. Beautiful packaging but that's it. The longevity is maybe 10 seconds. I'm done with this brand.

Cute and subtle. It wasn't quite what I was looking for in a strawberry fragrance. I gave it to my niece.
