Taskeen Lactéa Divina

Never smelled the OG but I have Milkylicious by The Dua. I loved Milkylicious at firs, it smelled divine, milky with the intoxicating indolic white florals, so pure similar league as VS Love Me (my eternal love lol). After macerating a year and a half it's gotten so so powdery-floral pungent and heady - the musk-milk by The Dua probably intensify that. The bubblegummy tuberose becomes too powdery and obnoxious, it gives me a headache and the same issue I had with Cotton Candy Milk by The Dua. Cotton Candy Milk has turned more powdery, heady and pungent and has no tuberose or powdery cacao but maybe the candy note mimics the bubblegummy tuberose in Milkylicious. It's prolly due to the musk-milk overload too, idk. Let me list the Milkylicious notes for reference: Ambrette Seed, Milk Accord, Mystikal, Jasmine Vintage, Tuberose Petals, Mahonial, Incense, Tonka, Cacao, & Musky Vanilla. Heavy loaded. So I took a chance with Lactea Divina also because I love Zara's Feminine Spell (milk incense tonka vanilla) so I figured the base structure is the same but Lactea Divina has the flowers, jasmine tuberose, plus cacao added to it. It's what I expected it to be, lighter than Milkylicious yet pretty identical with the candy-like bubblegum quality of the tuberose. A cold intense almond effect in the opening is beautiful and Milkylicious doesn't have it at least so intense and nicely done. The milk is deep and somewhat watery reminiscent of the milk note in BBW Milk. Yes it likewise becomes powdery somewhat dusty floral as in heady, not as in stale dusty and it gets musky powdery too but much lighter. I mean the indolic bubblegummy tuberose in these scents works overtime but the other notes are balanced so it's more wearable. I'm a tuberose lover with my absolute love being Jimmy Choo Flash - the London Club too. The tuberose here is so indolic, cold, fresh, milky and then powdery, warmer, just as in the JC Flash tuberose. I find them to be very similar given that both have the almondy effect (Flash has heliotrope at the base). They have some differences (Flash is fresher, fruity) but they're sister scents. Despite tuberose's powdery indolic quality at the drydown, I still love that note. The opening's almondy scent is heliotrope-like, waxy, similar to Kenzo Amour's almondy milky vibe, minus the heady cherry scent - common notes: incense, vanilla, and the heliotrope giving that same almondy freshness I perceive from this. Milk and tonka create the almondy impression here just as in Feminine Spell by Zara but the tonka is more dominant there - (different scents tho) no florals there, however the incense is rich resinous in both, so beautiful and the milk is deep watery in both. Along with that cold, deep incense-milk and almondy effect (the almond nuance stays in the background more subtle at the drydown accompanying the rest of the notes) I smell a balsamic accord from the cacao along with the flowers. Its first 30 mins smell like blooming indolic Greek night flower, the white flower that only blooms at night in Greece during the summer. If you haven't been to Greece you prolly never experienced it. The white night flower is like a siren that can hypnotize you. No joke I walked my dogs at 1am here in Attica in a somewhat rural town that I live where the lemon blossoms and night flower smell so intoxicating at night and this stuff on my skin matched the scent in the air! Prolly the jasmine being more high pitched mimicked the dewy lemon blossoms. After that 30 min mark it got more dense, a tad warm, more fluffy powdery and heady but still lighter than Milkylicious. Like a cousin of JC Flash at this point (similar vibe). The milk, incense tonka still offer the cool-toned, calming cloud for the florals to rest upon. It can be overwhelming so don't overspray. My bottle's sprayer leaked at its base at first so I got completely drenched in it. This scent has a pure divine essence indeed. I loved Milkylicious so much that I bought 2 bottles when I lived in the States, oh well. This is better. Now I wanna try Her Confession.

I'm really enjoying Taskeen Lactea Divina both for its actual smell and for the journey it's taking me on in thinking about musks. First of all, I really enjoyed Marketa Rybinova's review, which definitely made me want to check it out. Truthfully, like so many of you here, I both LOVE perfumes but equally love great fragrance writing! Rybinova's rapturous response piqued my curiosity ("I'll have what she's having!") and reminded me of the amazing experiences particular fragrances create for us all because of the way they smell -- truly a marvelous and remarkable thing! So, because it was pretty inexpensive ($30), I decided to give it a try. What interested me especially was that Rybinova noted that LD has a special something that Blanche Bete lacks and, while I liked the sample of BB that I tried, I just didn't love it. So I wanted to see if I, too, noted something different in LD that BB was lacking. Secondly, I love milk (I'm lucky I'm not lactose-intolerant). Back 25 years or so ago, when I used to buy dried milk powder, I would occasionally eat a spoonful of the stuff without even adding water. :D The lactose, which is a kind of natural sugar, gives it a sweetness that I found very yummy without being too sweet. Somehow, LD's smell is reminiscent of dried milk powder. I think you really have to really enjoy milk to enjoy LD. The fragrance itself is interesting! It reminds me of the taste and smell of the aforementioned dried milk powder, of course. But it also reminds me somehow of the smell of my babies heads -- my babies are now 21 and 24 years old, so it's been a while since I actually smelled a baby's head! But from what I remember, babies' heads have an absolutely yummy, sweet, delicious, milky, musky smell. Aside from the sweet milky note, I also get the vanilla and cacao (or maybe it's more the white chocolate note of Raffaello's candies that Marketa Rybinova mentioned in her review). Thus far, I haven't noted any florals (jasmine and tuberose) or incense that some people have noted. But then "incense" to me is the very dark smell of Lush Sikkim Girls, Joop Femme, or Comme des Garcons Avignon or Kyoto so, thus far, no incense here. Taskeen Lactea Divina really makes me think about certain other musks that I enjoy. Even though they don't really smell the same at all, Lactea Divina shares what I'll call a "sweet baby's head musky note" with Issey Miyake A Drop d'Issey. That's another one that inspires rapturous reviews from some folks but definite "Icks" from others. But where LD has vanilla & cacao, AD d'Issey has lilac & almond milk. Both of these scents are, to my nose, lovely, sweet, and innocent musks. On the other end of the spectrum of musks I love are things like ELDO Putain des Palaces, an elegant, powdery, sexy, grown-ass female musk. Or the more unisex Kiehl's Original Musk or Paul Sebastian PS Fine Cologne. So, if you like milk, musks, or the smell of babies' heads, you may very well enjoy Taskeen Lactea Divina. :)))

Lactea Divina is hard to describe because its like trying to explain how oxytocin feels. This is one of the most beautiful perfumes I have ever smelled, and it is the scent that made me fall in love with milk perfumes. I'm about to describe it to you as an ethereal, dreamy baby's head. It opens with the softest breath of cocoa and incense, but gentle, not smoky, just warm. Then the florals: jasmin and tuberose, not loud or overly white, but weightless and tender, like (super delicate) petals drifting through cream. And then, the base of milk, vanilla, and tonka bean creates the ethereal comfort that smells like a baby’s head. But not just any baby, this one’s angelic. You smell it, and your brain clicks into love and safety. You’re bonded. You’re calm. You’re safe. You’re home. You're comforted (I would underline this a whole bunch of times if I could). I reach for this when I need softness. Before bed, after a long day. I also wear it when I want to be the angel for my friend. It's now my funeral perfume. It’s the scent equivalent of the world’s best hug - offered freely, without fixing anything, but making it all a little more bearable. It’s beautiful and kind so that you can be beautiful and kind. And of course, angels don’t just comfort. They enchant. (The name refers to a unicorn after all.) Notes: -the baby's head thing is maybe out of context if you've never smelt one, and might put people off, but I think it's one of the most powerful human experiences you can experience. I'm trying to evoke how your brain feels. -I prefer this perfume to the original. I like the original, but I love this (cue *pocketbook sighing with relief*). To my nose, this is a bit sweeter, less musky, subtler jasmine. -This perfume lasts a full 24 hours on me. It’s ethereal, angelic, intoxicating, and an absolute beast. A floating, glowing, otherworldly powerhouse. -I like layering this with eclair; it somehow it makes Lactea Divina bloom even more. Adding soft light to already perfect lighting. -I often wear this to bed, and since it lasts forever, I wake up in it, so I’ve also sprayed other perfumes over it (lazy wake-up and go mode), and it plays well with nearly everything. It’s versatile.

Aphrodite is taking a milk bath with flower petals and a warm vanilla candle is wafting through the milky steam 🌬 🛁🌸🕯 It's dreamy and ethereal. Creamy and sophisticated. The opening and heart were an olfactory journey - I wasnt sure what to expect. The floral notes open without being cloying, like they are blooming in a haze of soft, warm, milky vanilla clouds. The dry down is where this is at for me. Utter coziness. Clean girl - no - Clean Goddess with a warm, creamy aspect and soft pillowy florals. Serene. Captivating. Divine ✨️ Honestly this description from Taskeen captures it perfectly: Lactea Divina is more than a perfume; it’s an experience of serene beauty and timeless grace, crafted for those who cherish the gentle and the divine. I've never understood wearing scents to bed until smelling this, this is a perfect bedtime or cozy day in scent. It's gentle and comforting. I feel its a personal fragrance, a skin scent. Not so much for an audience. It's to feel good. To feel in your body. An act of Self care in a bottle 🥰 This is my first experience with the Blanche Bete DNA. And honestly I'm in love. I'm about 8 hours in and its still radiating from my skin in soft whispers 🌬 The only thing I don't like is the bottle - it doesnt reflect the ethereal perfume inside (Blanche Bête captures this well) so I may decant it into something else to enjoy it more 🤍

This is an incredible Blanche Bête twist once it’s had some time to mature. To those who love the original but don’t like the price tag, my suggestion is to buy this one a few months in advance and trust that it will get so much better. There’s an intensely sweet/baby milk thing going on initially which firmly plants this into cloying territory (for me). Thankfully these qualities dissipate over time and the result is very sweet and smooth. While lovely as a twist that captures that unique Blanche Bête DNA, this one amplifies the more dense and gourmand facets of the original, like vanilla, cream and tonka, and lacks that “elevated”, suspended-in-air quality that mystikal provides. There is no ambrette in this version so it’s a bit less nuanced but still beautifully complex in its own right, and the florals still peek through nicely but are not centre stage. Also, this stuff is nuclear, both in terms of projection and longevity. While it’s not quite as strong a performer as the original (which translates to “White Beast” and truly lives up to its name), I still easily get a full day of wear from it. It’s also incredibly soothing and nice for nighttime; my four-year-old daughter will occasionally fall asleep with her face pressed against my inner elbow where I’ve sprayed this.

Two words: Clean & Creamy. I know it's a polarizing scent and when some people say it smells like baby puke, they are not wrong (as in I can see what they mean) but is baby puke such a bad thing? That's what it makes me think of and i'm not ashamed to say it. This is the most lactonic scent that I own and it smells like the color off-white. It's an extremely unique scent profile that stays linear to my nose. The cacao & incense that is apparently in there, never makes an appearance to my nose. It makes me realize that a powdery smell and the creamy smell are on opposite ends of a scent spectrum. This is not powdery it is creamy/milky and clean; not sweet, not remotely juicy or fruity or even all that gourmand in the true sense of the word. To me, gourmand means you want to eat it because it's so photorealistic smelling. I don't want to eat the milky/creamy/vanilla tuberose/jasmine that I pick up but I do want to keep smelling it. The projection and scent bubble is quite obvious and the longevity is easily 4+ and I can see how some people get 6-8 hours. Overall I liked it so much that I bought a backup bottle just in case I can never get my hands on it for one reason or another.

I love this scent SO MUCH. So much that I figured the scent it was duping must be absolute divinity. Spoiler alert: it's gorgeous but mostly the same. Lactea Divina is so similar that there's really no reason to buy Blanche Bete. Do I feel fancy spraying it on? Yes! However it's so close I really didn't need to buy it when I have Lactea Divina. The differences are negligible, so minute that no one would ever know you're not wearing BB if you had on LD. Both are milky creamy fuzzy soft with maybe a hint of florals. I'm really wondering if it's just skin chemistry that cause people to say they're not similar. It's the only thing I can think of when they're so close. So, if you want to smell like goddess of sweet innocence with soft creamy skin, just buy Lactea Divina and call it a day. Sillage is very impressive for a lactonic fragrance, so if you wanted something with intimate sillage this may not be it. I'm kinda mad now though because I could have saved the BB money for a Guerlain perfume that I've been dying for that unfortunately has no dupes. It's taught me a valuable lesson though,. If more people than not are saying it's a dupe, it most likely is.

Love at first snif! This smells exactly like Blanch Bete (I have a full bottle , love the scent so much but it don’t want to splurge on another back up) I had given up hope on dupe brads , like Lattafa. I’m glad I gave Paris Corner a chance. It smells like a hot arroz con leche without the rice. So pretty much like a hot horchata, but using the powdered packet kind because it’s a bit powdery like powdered milk but make it horchata powder lol anything that smells like that is just a love for me, as I have always drank and ate these things since a kid . So powdery yet hot milk with cinnamon that is gentle . Super sweet yet creamy dense vanilla that smells like sweet condensed milk to me . The florals here is very gentle and in the background, compared to BB where it’s more pronounced. So it’s just a milkier version of BB. I’ve never tried her confessions but I don’t like Lattafa so I don’t think I ever will try it so this for me is the perfect dupe . I would seriously pay $50 extra for this fragrance. That’s how much I love it. Stays forever on clothes medium projection and maybe 6 hours on skin.

I have a travel sprayer of Blanche Bête, and they are indeed extremely similar. I usually wait to review Middle Eastern fragrances after they have had a chance to settle and mature a bit, but this bottle of Taskeen Lactéa Divina seems to be performing well on the first day. In retrospect, trying it on a hot and humid day might have been a mistake--milk, tuberose, and incense can be nauseating when it's a hundred degrees outside--but the drydown is soft, sweet, and vanillic. Yes, there is a distinct milk smell that might seem sour on certain skin tones; on mine it's more milkshake-tuberose forward, a bit like Amouage Love Tuberose, only with more incense. My husband was reminded of a piña colada. If you already know you like BB, this might be a safe blind buy, but otherwise I think it might be a bit too polarizing. The bottle is very nice, too, an ombré pale-green heavy ceramic that looks much more expensive than you might expect. I found a deal and scored this for around $25, but I would call it a value at twice the price, especially considering what BB goes for.

OH MY GOD WHY HAVENT I TRIED THIS SOONER? I instantly fell in love with this, and now I want ALL of the lactonic perfumes if they're done half as well as this. I get the milk, vanilla, cacao. The floral is in the background boosting everything up, but it not poop white floral in your face. It just makes it more fuzzy and cozy. I dont get incense at all thankfully. It's got shockingly good sillage and the wear time is decent. It's just like milky sweet fuzzy coziness and now I'll probably have to buy a backup or even get a decant of BB. Maybe I'll do both? I dont know why I'm having such a visceral reaction to this stuff, but I really do love it. I feel like it could be layered with something tropical fruity in the summer, and by itself any other season. I might be a bit biased though because I absolutely love it. If milky fuzzy sweet vanilla is up your alley, this is something you should check out. I can see how people whose skin doesn't play nice with milky lactonic scents may want to steer clear though. Thankfully my skin loves it!

This was shockingly bad when I first got it. Just milk and nothing else. It has taken about 4-5 months for this perfume to mature, and I am stunned! It’s blooming! If I close my eyes, I can sense each of the notes and in the correct sequence. Some notes are barely present as if only to foil the spoilt milk facets, but they're doing their job well. The rubbery note everyone is talking about turns into a spicy sweetness of incense and cacao, which flows into the slightly brighter jasmine > tuberose > milk and other base notes smoothly. You will need to love the smell of warm milk with a drop of vanilla essence and subtle spices to like this, but I think most people will. The only problem is that they may not wait very long for this to bloom. It smells like purity. An ethereal angel. Lactea divina does justice to its name. Also, I don’t find it cloying in Mumbai winter, which is basically summer elsewhere.

The first day it was a vanilla powdery scent, not too sweet and distinctly tuberose with a milky background. The tuberose was completely dominant. That is, the scent of white flowers. There was no cocoa at all. The second day, omg, what a transformation: Suddenly the scent of burnt tires! I hope it will somehow settle down and the scent will "mature" into that wonderful milky scent that everyone here is talking about. Update after a month: the burnt rubber undertone has completely disappeared without a trace. The scent has changed to an incredibly divine scent of a fresh spring milky morning. It's not a sweet scent, it's not heavy. Creamy and light. It has a certain amount of nobility. Beautiful. It's a shame that the projection isn't more intense, I wish it could be felt more intensely from me at every step. An unbelievable scent experience for such a ridiculous price.

Updated Review: I had to update after two months of wear. I LOVE this! This is not a floral scent, yes I smell the tuberose in a very muted way or shall I say the tuberose is milk. I don’t smell jasmine? But I get the incense always there in the background like a room that recently burned some incense but not currently burning...just the residual and it’s lovely . What a mix! This perfume is literally so ethereal. Nothing is curdled !! Nothing smells of formula or rubber as some have said! It’s creamy, carnal almost yet so innocent! It’s a bunch of contradictions and I’ve never had a hard time describing a perfume I love but it’s magical! A calming perfume that performs well? Wow. I’m in love!! To me it’s almost the creamy version of a skin scent. If some girls smell like wood chips, others smell creamy, this is for us others it’s a must have!

This is my 2nd review. I just came to say the rubber/balloon smell goes away if you let this macerate for a long 2 months. I wrote this off initially thinking it was a horrible mixture of baby milk with a backdrop of rubber. Lactea Divina sat on my shelf for awhile before I went back to try it. I was thinking, all the good reviews really made me feel I was missing out on something special. I was envious. And to my surprise I love love love it. Everything is blended so smoothly after a couple of months of sitting, it's a creamy, musky, powder-y, tuberose vanilla milk. I always buy 3 bottles at once so each can have time to macerate, while I finish my first bottle. To me, it's one of those perfect every day fragrances, cozy & cuddly! YES, you are missing out (unless you generally don't like this scent profile) if you don't have any patience!🥛🥛🥛

A very comforting, sweet and great alternative to Blanche Bete! I had both on each of my arms for direct comparison, and while there are definitely clear differences, I think for the pricepoint Lactéa Divina definitely does its job well. In comparison to Blanche Bete, Lactéa Divina accentuates its milkiness a lot more and in general just smells like milk, but on first impression they smell really similar. One thing I don't fully enjoy about Lactéa Divina is how the white floral smells on my skin, it shows up as really synthetic, but that fades away after about thirty minutes. Also pretty nice longevity for the price, I can smell it even after 8 hours of wearing on myself. Fair warning though, I've heard this fragrance gets better with maturation and may smell different than at first. Personally can't comment since I bought mine second hand.

Well. At first I disliked this, as it reminded me of baby formula. But, I let it macerate for a month and the incense note really shines, makes it a powdery & musky safe haven for me. I love how unapologetically milky this is. This smells mostly of milk with subtle undercurrents of tuberose and jasmine. The florals seep through, and add some sophistication...a touch of elegance. Yes, after awhile it begins to smell like rice pudding, in the best possible way. I admit I love this. So much so, that I brought 3 bottles off Amazon. The atomizer sprays generous amounts too. After macerating the longevity is still eternal. This could easily be mistaken as a natural body scent to me. It literally smells like warms hugs, like an embrace full of love and they'll never let you go.

super love this scent, i got curious and searched this up thanks to claudies.diaries talking about bedtime scents and this was one i got off 2nd hand that they've kept in storage for awhile so it macerated well enough i think i don't get any of those weird chemical scent ppl talk about. this truly reminds me of warm milk before bed or when like it kind of spills and get absorbed into the fabric sort of? creamy florals and some slight cacao in there, really strong projection as well. my bf cant stop trying to snuggle me because of it lmao really cute of him to, 100% would layer with other fruity perfumes i have as if to give like im having tea time/ baking vibes. it lasts a whole day!! as in i already showered and i can still kind of smell it on me

Taskeen Lactea Divina by Paris Corner smells amazing to me, especially because of the milk note. It reminds me of the sweetened condensed milk aroma when I stir it into a hot cup of Milo. I think the Milo-like vibe comes from the cacao note in this fragrance. The white florals are also quite prominent, which I love. My son and husband enjoy it too. My son layers it with Taskeen Caramel Cascade (surprisingly he smells like a cotton candy), while my husband pairs it with Khamrah Qahwa. I haven’t found my perfect layering partner for it yet, though I’ve tried it with Nebras, Tiramisu Speculoos, and Qissa Pink, which were nice but not exactly what I’m looking for. Maybe I’ll try combining it with Reyna, Khair Pistachio, or Affection next.

This fragrance feels like a dreamscape, soft yet profound, sweet yet never cloying. It lingers close, like the memory of an embrace you never want to end. In Lactea Divina, I have found a hidden sanctuary - a scent that speaks not to the crowd, but to the heart.

I will have to update when I've had more time with this. It's the first day, so... What I want to say right now is that I understand what is meant by a "beast mode" fragrance. This one is not (as yet) loud or high sillage - but it stays and stays and stays on my skin. That is somewhat of a miracle. As I've aged, my skin almost repels perfume. Getting an hour is GREAT and 2 hours is almost unheard of. I put this one on this morning around 10 and it is now 9:12 as I write this. The scent is not only still here, it is still noticeable to my own nose. If I move at all, I get a waft of it. I just wanted to put this out there for all the folks who have perfume longevity issues.
