Taskeen Marina

It was a blind purchase and has become one of my favorite summer scents. For me/on me, it's a perfect vacation scent 😊 It evokes this mood for me: Morning/afternoon bright sunlight, a cool, wet-salty breeze coming from the sea, which brings the scent of the surrounding plants with it, you walk carefree on the seaside promenade, the wind catches your clothes, you look at the bright sun, the cool mist rises from the sea. My other summer favorite is Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort Collection 2017, it's also a real happy summer scent, but it's fruitier, sweeter, more tropical, more playful, maybe even more youthful because it's main character is rather tropical fruitiness, Teskeen Marina is somehow more ageless, more reserved, cooler, fresher, the slight scratchiness of the grapefruit evokes the cool-salty sea mist in the scent. For me, it's an instant love, I even ordered an extra one, just in case it becomes unavailable. 😊 It's really hard to find a true summer happiness scent that lasts at least somewhat, I don't like coconut or particularly watery scents, and most summer scents fade from my skin in seconds. This scent performs quite well, I would say it has medium longevity and sillage if I spray it a lot, which I do with peace of mind due to its great price 😊 I'm very glad I found it, it will definitely remain one of my favorites for many summers.

First of all, let me copy the notes I find on other websites because I am smelling more than what is listed here. Top Notes - tropical orange and grapefruit, pear Heart Notes - bergamot, jasmine and peach Base Notes - musk, black currant and amber, watermelon This is a very summery scent. You may not like it, but I don't see anyone hating it. It can smell a little soapy for some. Also, this feels a little synthetic, but nothing to be concerned about. It feels so fresh. The watermelon is definitely there. The fragrance has a fruity feel to it, but more like a fresh squeezed mixed juice, where the fruits are picked just when they are ripe; nothing over-ripe or tart. Last around 5 hours on skin. Both male & female will enjoy this scent. Blind buy safe.

This fragrance is a fresh, fruity lovers dream! This smells like an ice cold orange, grapefruit, and peach LaCroix! It is bright citrus that doesn't lean too sweet or too masculine with a super fresh, aquatic quality that also doesn't come off like men's cologne like aquatic often does. This is a summer scent you can actually wear outside without fear of becoming a bee magnet! I'm in love with this!

One of my new favorite summer scents. Its light, refreshing and clean. You can easily layer it with a stronger fruity scent as this one does not last very long. (Maybe 3hrs before skin scent when worn alone.) I have paired it with EOS Strawberry lotion and LOOOOOOVE IT! Indomitable is good to layer under it as well. I will be getting a back up of this.

A citrusy, juicy fresh fragrance for those summer days! I'm loving it nowadays, light me up instantly after wearing this fragrance! lasts for about 4 to 5 hours on me!

I wear this all day any day... love it. Its a lady freshie and usually grapefruit and blackcurrant goes armpit on me. But not this one. Its perfection.

This is my favorite casual summer daytime fragrance - it is so light, citrusy and beautiful! I only wish it lasted a little longer. Still love it.

**Thank you—whoever added this page on Fragrantica—I can finally review it.** I am getting juicy. I’m getting fresh. I’m definitely getting summer in a bottle. The mood of the fragrance couldn’t have been reflected any better by the bottle. It’s something that you would want to spray on to feel light and uplifted, and it gives off a feeling like you’re swimming in the ocean during sunset, and the water is infused with sliced grapefruits and ice cubes. If this were a Starbucks drink, it would be a refresher. However, it’s dense in a way, and it reminds me of a car freshener. The dry down has vintage male cologne vibes. I’m not in love with it, but it’s that cooling sensation that keeps pulling me back to this fragrance. The bottle is verging gaudy, but then it’s not? I was about to sell it, but I just loving holding it in my hands. It makes me so happy.

I can say I like the smell of its dna. Definitely comes off aromatic, very fresh, a little green & I can tell it has those florals in it. Although I don’t get that citrus & grapefruit necessarily. I can only tell you what I smell. Yet a very nice unisex fragrance that isn’t feminine leaning. Perfect for the gentlemen if he wants to wear it. Now I haven’t really pushed this fragrance to get longevity & performance, but I can say the test I did do on skin, it lasted less than an hour. Might need maceration. 🤷🏾♂️(I know) I need to spray it more than (twice) on skin and put it on my clothes as well as (8-10) sprays and see how it holds up then. Then I will truly know of its performance and longevity. I’ll update later.

Grapefruit and black currant did not sound very promising notes to me; I often smell something.. unpleasant when these notes are strong. Yet I bought this fragrance without testing first. I was happy to discover, that Taskeen Marina smells very pleasantly fruity and floral, all notes in harmony. This is nothing unique but for an easy reach summer and holiday fragrance it is very pretty. Happy, sunny, no bad vibes. Affordable. The bottle is heavy and very pretty. Longevity is bad, lasts about 30 minutes on my skin.

This is a fresh and citrusy summer scent, which is really refreshing and bright. I don’t think it smells like any of the other lemon-forward fresh scents I own - the grapefruit is sharp and zingy. I can definitely smell watermelon and musk in here too. Because it’s so citrusy, it doesn’t last for an eternity, but that’s fine. It’s not my favourite kind of scent profile but I’ll take it on my next holiday and spray it with abandon!

This is pretty good. Regardless of the notes listed here, the grapefruit is the main thing you will smell. A zingy, delicious, fresh grapefruit, accompanied by watermelon, a bit of peach and what seems to me as salt. This is literally the perfect little thing to spray while sitting at the beach, fresh out of the salty water. Unpretentious, simple, fresh, likable, safe blind buy.

This is simple, cute, playful and an easy grab scent. It is like a fresh, citrusy shampoo scent turned perfume. Light and airy and cute. Any age could wear this but it's not kiddie if that makes sense. I've worn this to bed a few times to get some air in the bottle to mature this a bit if possible. I would love if it got more floral and fruitier by summer.

while i agree with everyone that this has a “cheap” smell adjacent to a body care product like shampoo or body wash, i really enjoy this. this is the perfect summer scent to wear to the beach when you just want to smell super clean and girly. i’d picture mermaid barbie merliah wearing this before she turned into a mermaid. super y2k surfer.

On a paper test I get immediate citrus, and kind of a sweet soapiness? It does remind me of the water for some reason, might be considered an aquatic. I find it to be feminine and inoffensive but I don't know that it's going to be anyone's signature scent.

I am still testing, but I do wish it lasted longer. Grapefruit is one of my favorite notes and I really want this one to work. It starts off strong with a fresh citrus, but it does fade rather fast. I'm still deciding if it's full bottle worthy.

Finally picked this up. It's good but very fruity, synthetic sweet. Reminds me of hair gel or a body wash scent. I will layer it anyways like I always do with something to contrast it.

Crisp clean juicy Grapefruit. A little salty, a little floral. I like it.

This one is ok. Marshall’s had an open box travel size so I sampled it. If you can get it for a good deal (the price tag at Marshall’s was unreadable) and you like fresh/shampoo like perfumes, this may be worth a buy. I just have too many perfumes and it doesn’t wow me. Taskeen Marina is fresh, breezy and heavy grapefruit. It’s a pretty, happy, youthful scent, but nothing that stands out.

I don’t see grapefruit in the notes but I definitely smell it in the opening. The opening is pretty, citrusy, grapefruit. But then as it dries down it turns sour woody to my nose. Definitely not something I can wear because they pretty opening only lasts 5 minutes on me before it goes off.

I usually love fragrances with grapefruit in it but here there is something that bothers me.. it smells like they added some sort of melon note too that I sadly can't stand. I will try this on skin nevertheless, but so far I am a bit disappointed.

I really wanted to enjoy this because the concept sounded beautiful to me: fruity, tropical, fresh, feminine. Unfortunately, on my skin this turned much more into “clean fruity shampoo” than creamy tropical warmth. The opening is very bright and citrusy with a strong fresh feminine projection. I also get a lot of airy white floral and green freshness, which together create a salon-shampoo / body mist effect on my skin chemistry. It smells clean, youthful, and energetic, but not emotionally warm or comforting. What I personally missed was a creamy anchor. I kept waiting for coconut milk, soft vanilla warmth, or a humid tropical creaminess to appear, but the fragrance stayed mostly bright, fresh, and sparkling from beginning to end. I think people who enjoy fruity-clean feminine perfumes or fresh vacation-style scents may really like this. It’s not a bad fragrance at all. It just leaned too “fresh pretty” and not enough “warm creamy tropical” for my taste. On me, the fresh citrus + white floral structure became slightly detergent-adjacent, especially compared to coconut fragrances that have more lactonic or amber warmth underneath.

Taskeen Marina is a perfect "holiday in all inclusive beach resort" fragrance. It's safe, polite and forgiving - personally, I don't like either of these in perfumes so I ended up selling my bottle. I can't decipher the notes here, it's fruity-floral-fresh-something-something. Lasts long on clothes and skin. It's quite generic and lacks complexity, reminds me of dry shampoo/shower gel scent, but again, it's just me. It's not a bad perfume, I just have different expectations. Very easy to wear and won't stand out. You'll like this fragrance if you're into that vibe.

I really liked it in the store, on the test stripe. Seawater -like, yet slightly sweet. I ended up spraying it on my arm. In about 10 minutes it smelled like a cleaning product. Just straight up cleaning product.

It's a weird perfume, indeed smells like a household cleaner of some sorts. It is fresh, breezy, but as a cheap perfume so it brings out some stenchy notes, chemical-ish. Not good, not recommended.

A mix of many different types fruits, refreshing summer scent.

- Cheap cheap soapy smell, like the cheapest soap you can find or even an unscented soap at Dollar Tree (all love to DT but you know what I mean), but in a more potent perfume form. Super disappointed since I thought I would love this one!! I almost blind bought it after hearing reviews saying it's a good clean-fruity shampoo smell, but I would heavily beg to differ. I don't even get the floral note; it's literally just generic soap. Glad I got a decant to try first. Would not buy. - Seemed like moderate projection, but I had to scrub off immediately so unsure. - Please get a sample before committing to full size, or just pass on this one!

The hot steamy air wafting in the bathroom after a shower, intertwined with the smell of a photorealitic, slightly lemon, and predominantly grapefruit lingering between from an earlier shampoo. The way people describe this as shampoo (in addition to fresh, feminine, tropical drink descriptions), you would expect this to be a bubbly, sweet, or flirtatious Marc Jacobs-esque fragrance. Nope. Not shampoo in the bottle; shampoo in the air. This is not a light “freshie,” in the traditional sense, to my nose as everyone described it. The first two years with this bottle was a HEAVY musty, humid shower with a current of deep (realistic, almost bitter) grapefruit. Sometime into ownership, this bottle went subtly, but cloyingly synthetic. There was a weird plastic-plum quality that made it unwearable for a while. Only now do I get more of that photorealistic juicy “freshness,” it is still predominantly a musk fragrance. If you’re looking for a tropical fruity, girly beach frag this was once marketed as, keep searching. You will be disappointed. This is very unisex, but it is a good one. A very unconventional “clean” frag for all if you want to step away from blue or ambroxan skin-scents. 4 hour wear time. Moderate projection that becomes an intimate frag around hour 3.

Blind bought this because why not. The reviews that mention a shampoo-like quality are correct, I would even say it somewhat smells like a hairspray. Very fruity, fresh, and 'young', but unfortunately also a bit flat to me. This will probably be one of those scents that I grab very easily on a random summer day, but it is not remarkable enough to me to wear on a special occasion or when I want to feel sexy or beautiful. Just opened it yesterday, so I might revisit this review in a couple of months to see if the scent develops

Tuskeen Marina is a nice sweet, citrusy fragrance. It opens with syrupy-sweet grapefruit. It dies down to a lively, bright and "air-y" musk. It definitely opens as a feminine fragrance, but the drydown is comfortably unisex. I'm a man and I decanted 30mls of Tuskeen Marina into a travel spray and put it in my gym bag last summer. It was perfect to spray before working out, midworkout when I run to grab another caffeine drinkmix packet, or post workout/post shower. It's that nice and amicable.

This is a shampoo in a perfume form . A shampoo that recreates a perfume that is not unpleasant to the nose . It's spicy but summery spicy , fresh grape apple and melon scent that last all 8 hours on clothes. I liked it but to use during summer only not suitable for winter . Projects well but not beast mood . I will finish this bottle next summer. It's nice not offensive and perfect for office wear imo .

Yesssss!! This is summer in a bottle! Beach, boat, pool, margarita sunny days! It smells fresh, sweet and salty all at once! Like the salt of the ocean breeze combined with the smell of your fruit daiquiri! I’m not a big fan of this genre of perfumes but the reviews were so good i blind bought, so glad i did!

I feel like all the reviews are only touching on the opening, which is juicy and fruity. However, on the drydown, this smells *a lot* like Delina La Rose to me! Am I the only one getting this, or is everybody writing their reviews based on the opening?

Got a 10 ml as a freebie with an order from Notino. Zesty grapefruit, watery notes, and a bit of sweetness from the lily of the valley. Cute scent. Not for me. Exactly opposite what I like on me.

I smelled this at a Marshalls store. It smells really nice, reminded me of peach rings. V summery.
