Taskeen Wowie

Had this sitting for about 5 weeks and decided to wear this yesterday and this is what I’ll note. The projection is very strong for the first 2.5-3 hours then it becomes intimate. I’d say it stays modest for about 6 hours and after that point it’s a skin scent. I think this will improve the longer I have it but I’ll follow up in a few months. The scent its self is a creamy spicy orange, vanilla creation that kinda reminds you of an adult version of those Flintstones push pops we used to get from the ice cream truck as kids. Very nostalgic smell and I adore it. Can’t wait to see if this extends wear time because if it truly becomes beast mode, this will be one of my favorites. I think it’s not a safe blind buy some people are going to be very thrown off with how foodie this smells so keep that in mind I would say sample it first before you make any moves into buying it .This is a great addition to my collection because I have nothing like it and in the days of everyone having a delina DNA or an angel share DNA or a marshmallow blush DNA I’m glad that someone is branching out to give us something a little bit different.

This is a top 5 favorite scent of all times for me. It smells like a continental breakfast on a cold Christmas morning. Unique. I’m a citrus marshmallow girl (think Hufflepuff), so when I wear this, I feel very grown up because I’ve removed the fluffiness and added spice. The butter here is addictive. Butter done right. I’ve had mine for about 5 wks now. Stays 12+ hours on my clothes & booms the entire time. I have a 5ml spray of the other. The other opens w/ more of a sour orange juice (think the oj has gone bad) and settles way more buttery/bready with an orange essence in the background. This one is a bright fresh OJ, and the creaminess & butteriness pop up after and stay (the OJ remains prominent). I love the other better in the beginning, but this one wins the dry down and longevity test. As an aldehyde hater, I don’t detect them in Wowie. I can smell the difference between the 2–Wowie is brighter. So, by no means exact. Related vibes. Wowie is orange creamsicle halfway dipped in butter. The other is a medium brown buttery orange marmalade danish, then somebody quickly ate the orange part.

I love this so much Im so delighted I gave it a chance. From the reviews I was expecting a toilet cleaner harsh smell but it is so soft and smooth and blended. Its not even a harsh citrus as a person who is not the biggest citrus fan, this orange is such a gentle and non acidic orange, yet realistic and not synthetic. It is like a really reduced marmalade and pastry scent and it is probably one of the most flattering gourmand scents I have ever come across. Its not a sickening sweet cupcake cookie scent (which I am also here for) but that is what makes it gorgeous and grown up, a French bakery vibe. Its not spicy to me in a spicy middle eastern way or Christmas cookie way, the spice is not at the forefront but really like if you were adding a bit of nutmeg to your pastry, it grounds it. I'm obsessed from opening to drydown. 10/10...I just layered this with Cream Velvet and I am almost passing out how perfect it goes..absolutely gorgeous!

It smells like a tart citrus caramel, sometimes I love it, sometimes I don't like it. It is just a weird combination that works, but sometimes it's too weird. I compared with Roja and mine opened more citrus and Roja slightly more caramel, the dry down of wowie is a bit smoother and Roja you literally smell a caramel with a Clementine in the back, knowing middle Eastern fragrances, I bet it will macerate to be very similar. I believe influencers might get a macerated version and it is a lot more similar. I will update in a few weeks. Update 2 ww: I'm starting to get the name "lost in Paris" now, it is maturing very well, and showing up with the very creamy dry down. Update 3 after 3 months: It is now so good! Give it time to macerate! It smells like an orange freshly baked pie.

I’ve been here before with a worse opening at first sniff with Bryan Al Asrar (Guidance Dupe). I almost threw it out because it was so bad. Instead I reboxed it and threw it in my closet for 6 months. I then got it out to give it away and I sprayed it again and Dammmmm !!! It was so different , 92% on skin and 98 in the air. Just know the depth is on skin is not comparable to guidance but it’s so close I switch it out to save my bottle of guidance 46 and I can’t tell the difference To My Nose. I have smelled LIP and this is miles from that but I still smell the connection. So again I’ll give it a few months and look forward to a surprise

Fun & uplifting. A photorealistic image of a mandarin appears on your face within the first few seconds of opening it. It’s unfair to expect a 15-dollar fragrance to be a perfect match for a 1,300-dollar niche fragrance. That said, my decision to buy it is for my own enjoyment rather than to receive compliments from others. That laconic touch, which for some may clash with the citrus notes, is what sets it apart from the mass of citrus clones that come out every week. It has an unusual quality: in cold weather it gives you a warmth like rays of sunshine, and in hot weather it’s refreshing.

Wore this today in 38C heat - had to run errands and for several hours was outside, sweating and this held up! Honestly I am so impressed! I’ve put it on around 9 in the morning and even though it’s not beast mode I could smell it on me all day and now it’s 7 pm and I can still smell it on my clothes and skin. Considering that it’s too hot outside it’s not easy to pick out specific notes - but under the circumstances it smells like fresh, sweet tangerine juice but it’s not cloying or juvenile.

After this fragrance sat for a few weeks, It became a pure compliment magnet. I genuinely don't know how to describe this fragrance because it is so well blended. If anything, it reminds me of a perfume version of an "orangy" cinnamon crescent roll. I know that sounds weird but IT WORKS. Every time I have worn it, multiple people have complimented me and asked what I was wearing. As a man, I don't like the name or the bottle design, but the fragrance is simply amazing.

Such a unique fragrance! Wowie definitely smells niche, regardles of whether she was inspired by Lost in Paris, or not. She smells creamy and orange and like a fancy almond breakfast pastry. The juice does need time to sit though... or at least my bottle did (sometimes I wonder about these 1st impressions I watch on YT). Spray her out. Let her bloom for at least five days... and then indulge. Wowie is delightful. 10/10!

@dcoleman.1 It’s very obvious, by your review, that you judged this fragrance on the initial first spray (since you were going to return it in “seconds”). It opens with a gorgeous burst of orange. Shortly thereafter, the cinnamon comes through... then a bit of rum, and the tonka bean. Unlike MOST of the reviews below me, I wore this for a few full days. I believe it will only get better as it macerates. Love this one.

This perfume is one of if not my absolute favorite out of my 200 plus perfume collection. Smelling this perfume makes me so happy, I would even go so far as to say euphoric! There's so many elements to it, so beautiful and so well blended and I honestly feel like I can wear this all year round! It smells like the most delicious and warming cup of hot fruit tea with spices! Just amazing 😍

It is very similar to Lost in Paris. I'd say it is a simplified version of it which I like here. The opening is definitely less sophisticated, less complex, less sweet but the dry down is surprisingly similar. It is not scratchy or too artificial. It doesn't last long on me - maybe 2-3 hrs. Still a very decent dupe for a fraction of the price.

Taskeen Wowie Is gorgeous it’s a citrus spicy gourmand it’s beautiful the caramel, butter and tonka bean with that juicy orange liquor opening this is very unique it’s like a orange creamy cake with caramel and spice. Wowie is strong too the projection is pretty good! Finally a Lost In Paris Inspired fragrance

Don't let the naysayers fool you, this is absolutely gorgeous. Just pull the trigger on it and you won't regret. I blind-bought my bottle after many of the key influencers I respect glazed it - and they were right. Already eyeing a back-up bottle. Such a beautiful and rich scent - I cannot get enough.

a boozier take on portokalopita (greek dessert), with a touch of cinnamon very addictive, very complex I believe this could be worn in any season, although due to the cinnamon’s spiciness and caramel’s sweetness I would say it’s a better fit for autumn/spring an amazing scent that lasts. all. day!!!

Yeah...I actually love this, despite other's opinions! I love the unique citrus, cinnamon, butter combo! I find it addictive and super distinctive from any other citrus forward scent! This is not based at all on the comparison, because I clearly have never smelled this coveted $1K+ fragrance..haha!

Wow, just wow, this is the first Summer Gourmand I've found that doesn't give me a headache. Words can't describe how good this smells. The best way I can describe it is that you're walking down a baking store and they just cooked some inviting orange that you just have to try.

Just bought and tested. Smells synthetic in the beginning but gets better as it dries down. Strong projection and good longevity. At the moment I will let it macerate hoping it starts smelling more natural and blended. At the moment it is unbalanced.

I don't have any fragrance like this. I received it today and it's an instant love for me. It's a dreamy orange cream perfume and transitions to an orange cookie. It's an all year fragrance. I expect it to perform better as time goes.

Love, love, LOVE! A sweet and yummy scent that isn’t nauseating. I find that I wear it to bed after an everything shower. I usually pair wowie with Super milk products from lush. I think it’s comforting and wearable for most ages.

Now this is GOOD!! I don't know why it took me so long to buy it. I thought I wasn't a fan of orange, but I can say I am no longer an orange hater! This is incredible! Out of 200+ bottles this is easily now in my top 20!

Creamy orange caramel, loud and weirdly addictive. Not elegant, not subtle, but oddly comforting if you like chaos in your gourmands.

After being in time out for a couple months, this is fabulous. I love the smell of sherbet with extra zest. Yum!

I have come to know the Taskeen perfumes quite well and before writing anything else, please please please understand that ALL Taskeen perfumes need time to develop after the bottle is first opened and you spray 2-3 times, so a bit of an air space is formed inside. This is not a myth, so it is better to judge their perfumes after at least 2-3 months have passed. This being said, my 2 cents: - SCENT: this perfume is literally like taking a bit of butter, rubbing it on skin, then taking a real mandarin and spritzing the juice on top of the butter. Photo-realistic mandarin. If you like smelling like a walking fresh juicy mandarin, this is the right perfume for you. - PERFORMANCE: for the price? Spectacular! I can feel it on my skin after 8 hours and on clothes it lasts for days. It leaves a trail behind and I've even had colleagues at work asking who brought mandarins or oranges and where are they :))) - PRICE to QUALITY RATIO: very good. I got 100 ml for about 26 euro, so that's quite good. Overall, if photo-realistic mandarin is your thing, go for it. Otherwise, I would recommend getting a sample first as this is not necessarily to everyone's taste.

Does Paris Corner Taskeen Wowie capture the signature blood orange peel and rum accord that defines the opening of Roja’s Lost in Paris? Absolutely. It beautifully renders those bright, boozy top notes alongside a delicious pairing of buttery caramel sugar. However, it lacks that distinct, buttery "bakery" accord that makes the Roja so special. The citrus in Wowie is a bit more pronounced than LIP. While Taskeen Wowie is a lovely fragrance that stands strong on its own merit, wearing it ultimately makes me crave the complexity and subtlety of the original. It’s a keeper for the collection, but I’m categorizing it as a standalone scent rather than a true dupe. This fragrance lasted an entire day on my skin.

So, initially I was disappointed by Wowie as I found the Orange note disappeared really quickly leaving behind a linear lactonic smell, but after this has been sat for a few weeks it has changed a lot and now the orange note remains. Its a beautiful Crêpes Suzette, orange, caramelised sauce scent. I sprayed this on in the morning and its now 9hrs later and still going strong. This is not a beast mode perfume, its more of an intimate to moderate projecting fragrance but it does have longevity. If you purchase this, spray it a few times, then put it away for a few weeks to mature.

I blind bought this on the advice of a well-known tin-tok perfume influencer and it took a moment to grow on me. The initial notes, that last 30-40 minutes after spraying, have a plastic or artificial smell but the dry down is a very unique, light and sweet fruity desert smell. The artificial smell lingers in the back so faintly but it actually reminds me of a brand-new Strawberry Shortcake doll smell from the 80s... that nostalgia is somewhere in the dry down for me. It's a nice smell but totally unlike anything else I've smelled.

Simpler version of Lost in Paris and a little more wearable. Although initially when I bought it, it smelled really off putting, something about the opening made me not wear it. Now that it’s kinda grown on me I feel like it really smells amazing right after 5 minutes on skin. The orange comes off a little less screechy, more like a fresh cut orange but slightly artificial. Dry down kinda smells like butter cookies with caramel or a croissant .

Just opened the box two days ago. So far, not getting boozy or gourmand/patisserie vibes. It’s a powdery orange that reminds me of children’s aspirin... but surprisingly it actually works as a fragrance. I like it, but not quite what I was expecting. Let’s see how this matures over time. Also, definitely unisex and seems like it would work year-round.

🍊Update🥐: 23.4.26 Yes❣️ok, this has changed drastically....i am so happy. It is a cool day....7 Celsius....but this gives me sunshine vibes...in a fruity gourmand way. Good things come to those who wait. 🩵 First try: Someone please tell me this gets better. I have had this for two months and it still smells like baby aspirin from the 70's 🤮

ambroxan forward with aldehydes - not very vanillic either so its just an airy and dense musk. It also gives a photorealistic mandarin peel with the tart zest and pith You can genuinely find these scents in your everyday bathroom cleaners or scented rubbish bags

I mostly get the citrus and a touch of cinnamon on my skin, and after it has sat for a while a bit of butter. On me there's no caramel sweetness at all but I'm not sad about that. I love it- even if the bottle doesn't have the same vibe as the juice inside

Any men who like and wear SWY intensely can wear this parfume. It’s a unisex perfume for me leaning a bit feminine. Sprayed back of my hand at 13:00 after moisturising now it’s 22:15 I can still smell it on my skin.

This one needs to sit for a while. Right now I can only smell the orange and some creaminess, but there is no depth to it.

I tried every trick to make this scent work for me. Applied in cold weather, matured it, tried it in the springtime, matured it more, and now tried in the summer, and I gave up.😒 It's still a juvenile, slightly boozy linear sweet orange fragrance, and there's nothing more. I don't feel the luxury bakery tones, the buttery part, or tonka. Maturation didn't help, just made the chemical orange undertone go away. If Wowie really is that similar to Lost in Paris, then that perfume definitely isn't worth what it costs. Maybe I will use Wowie from autumn for layering, but we don't have a bright future ahead us.😕

I can’t compare this to the Roja fragrance it’s inspired by because I don’t own that one, but to my nose this smells very marmalade like sweet, citrusy, and a little jammy. It’s not a personal favorite for me scent-wise, but it’s definitely not a bad fragrance at all. The blend is actually really well done. Everything feels smooth, balanced, and professionally put together. It’s just that the orange-marmalade vibe isn’t something I typically reach for. Overall: well-made, just not my style.

Wouldnt wear this personally... I was excited by the idea of an orange gourmand for the summer, but this one didn't work out for me. I really tried to gaslight myself into liking this and I WOULD if the orange notes weren't so synthetic and heavy, cause the butter and other sweet notes in the background are so well blended and smooth. The orange notes overtake the entire thing.

I get sweet tarts candy LOUD at first. Sometimes I think I like it, sometimes I find it irritating. Going to see how this develops. I’ve only let it sit a week so far.

So I typed up a review, walked away for 4 hours and came back to complete the review realizing I may have been as harsh as this perfume is on first impression. I purchased Wowie because of influence hype (iykyk) and I can safely say on first spritz.... this is gross. I get a very strong, cheap, nasty orange dishwashing soap scent. It's almost reminiscent of children's orange flavoured pamol - but with a creamyness in there. BUT I'll give her this - after 4 hours, the dry down is a very soft feminine creamy orange... much like the creamsicle I see being described in other reviews. Will I be wearing it... probably not, unless I know I'm not going out 4 hours before hand. This one is NOT a safe blind buy, definitely test before purchase. Buy at your own risk 😄 I'd rate 3/10

This is apparently an inspiration for lost in Paris. That one is a masterpiece, this one definitely falls short. The orange and mandarin in the opening absolutely hit you over the head and assault your senses. This is orange floor cleaner in the worst way possible. The sharp citrus sticks around for hours before (after about 4-5hours) it finally mellows into something mildly resembling Lost in Paris. Hopefully as it matures it gets smoother, but to call this one a Lost in Paris dupe is absolutely criminal.

Got a decant to test out. I've never smelled the original and probably never will given its price point 😂 The opening truly is orange and mandarin, it doesn't give cleaner vibes on paper but on my skin it becomes more sour and unfortunately does give off cleaning product. I didn't end up liking it even as it settled. The dominant citruses mixed with with a bit of cinnamon and I didn't quite like that combo.

I don’t know what it is about this fragrance that I don’t like. I initially smell the sharp citrus smell like lemony fresh pledge with caramel sweet. To my nose, it does not go together. I don’t really get any butter or Tonka bean-that’s probably a good thing

Blegh! Yuck. Should be called Owie, it burns my skin. Not to mention it smells like toilet bowl cleaner and is IMPOSSIBLE to scrub off the skin. I can only recommend this as a room spray for cleaning purposes. These influencers on the clock app need to quit lying!

Great fragrance let down by awful presentation. I'm not sure why they duped such an incredibly expensive fragrance and then put it in the cheapest looking bottle imaginable. The paint on it is a bit uneven and rough in spots, the matte gradient is ugly, the font is ugly, the cap is metal but isn't magnetic and doesn't click or sit in place very well. The box also wasn't folded very precisely and there were some bent corners on the inside. I guess Paris Corner isn't really known for presentation compared to other dupes houses but man, it really brings the experience down. It looks like something you would buy for $10 in a clothing store for tweens or in the beauty aisle at Kmart. I wonder if it's possible to remove the paint - I feel like it would be greatly improved with a clear bottle. In terms of the scent itself, I usually try to at least smell the original before reviewing a dupe, but in this case it's almost impossible. So absent such a comparison, it's really good. The citrus is a bit sharp in the opening, almost nostril stinging, but it mellows out fairly quickly and blends beautifully with the butter and cinnamon. It smells like a pastry or a cinnamon doughnut with bitter marmalade. It's far from identical but the buttery/bready aspect with the sharp citrus reminds me a lot of Panettone by Milano Fragranze. Lasting power is great, probably a bit too strong if anything. I can imagine it giving me a headache if I wore it on my neck, but I don't really want to try as it's plenty strong at arm's length.

When I bought this fragrance almost 4 months ago the first spray was synthetic, sharp, orange windex cleaner type of scent mixed with other sharp chemicals. It was so repulsive and disgusting 🤢🤢 It was nothing like what the fragrantica and youtube reviews were describing such as bakery goods mixed with orange and warm buttery croissants. The fragrance in the beginning was a chemical destructive bomb for my nose. I sprayed 20 times to let air inside the bottle so the maceration process would start and I waited 5 weeks. After the initial 5 weeks I sprayed it again. It was the same chemical nauseating scent but stronger. So I sprayed 15 more times and let it macerate 6 more weeks. After the double maceration process, and 11 weeks later I can say that it changed COMPLETELY!!!! NOW it smelled like fresh baked butter croissants with orange custard and caramel drizzled on top. No more chemical scent, only gourmound goodness . BUT I shouldn't wait almost 3 months for the perfume to macerate to give me what it supposed to smell like even if its $35. Recently whatever fragrances ( Pinkling, Peach delulu, blue fayora, oravea and taskeen wowie) Paris Corner has released they needed a lot of time for maceration. I cannot enjoy the fragrance straight away because it smells like chemical garbage. I'm very disappointed. I dont recommend this fragrance.

So here comes the update 3 weeks after opening and using my Taskeen Wowie. The initial sharpness mellowed with a bit of oxidation, and I found this perfume smelling exactly like a crepe suzette, which I love and prepare myself when I need a bit of coziness. The performance is very good, and I received multiple compliments while wearing it. It is not a safe blind buy though, as it is very citrusy and quite loud, a bit like Lolitaland: they are NOT similar at all (and Wowie misses the ever present Lempicka's licorice note), but they are both "odd", loud and bold citrusy gourmand. I will use it a lot as layering tool with some vanillas and powdery scents in my collection. One spray is more than enough to add some magic :) Initial thoughts before receiving my bottle: Perfumes are one of my big passions, but not the only one. With that in mind, I refuse to even sample a fragrance with a retail price worth of a motorbike, so I won't try the OG. I am still a citrus gourmand lover though, and blind bought this one. As soon as it arrives, I will be happy to edit this post and turn it into an independent review without a comparison to the OG. I possess other Rojas, but they were presents. I stand my ground on not wanting to endorse such a marketing strategy, no matter how skilled the nose behind it.

Taskeen Wowie, based on its notes, seems clearly inspired by Roja Lost in Paris, but in my experience, the result is quite far from that profile. The intention to recreate that creamy, citrusy gourmand style is noticeable; however, the execution doesn’t quite work. In the opening, what stands out most on my skin is a very artificial orange, reminiscent of effervescent vitamin pills: an intense but chemical citrus, more like a flavored product than a natural fruit. As it develops, a milky accord appears, but it isn’t particularly pleasant either. Rather than evoking a creamy or gourmand sensation, it smells to me like raw milk with a slightly salty undertone, creating a strange contrast with the initial citrus. In short, while the intention to capture the olfactory DNA of Roja’s luxurious fragrance is evident, for my nose, as the owner of a bottle of the original, it fails to convey that idea and ends up with a rather unbalanced aroma. I don't recommend it.

I just got my bottle couple days ago. First thing is that you NEED to love citrus in your scent, this is a mandarin orange foward perfume, if you think any kind of citrus smells like cleaning products, you’re not gonna vibe with that sort of DNA (even tho it doesn’t give cleaning products at all imo). Second, as for the scent, it’s a zesty orange foward kinda powdery, soft and a tad bit spicy. It’s complex because it’s giving juicy/zesty citrus mixed with soft powdery musk and a hint of warm spices. Performs very well and lasts long. As for the comparison with Roja Lost in Paris, I smelled that fragrance in a niche store in India and loved it! The Roja is more buttery and bready to my nose, kinda like a soft warm flacky croissant with mandarin marmalade. It’s not a 1:1 dupe since it’s missing that aspect, but I’m not mad at it as I think it’s more wearable and the price difference is stellar.
