Zodiac Solmaris

This smells like a brother to Bois Imperial, like an aquatic take on it and more potent, both are potent. I dare say Zodiac Solmaris is certified nuclear. My 2 month old bottle is straight gas. I've had many people compliment this scent. I've also tried the OG Le Sel D'Issey on paper at Macy's, which lead me to bline buying this at a TJ Maxx one fateful day. It's definitely a strong like to love scent for me. I feel like it shares a lot of similarity to Bois Imperial and I don't own that one yet, but I tested it on skin one day and immediately thought of Zodiac Solmaris. So yeah if you think a aquatic version of Bois Imperial sounds good, it pretty much is, and it's a loud boy. You could easily use 3 sprays tops every single wearing and probably still smell it after a full work shift while getting compliments up the wazoo. I'm going to have to give this a strong 9/10 for smell, and a 9.5/10 for performance.

Randomly blind purchased this for my wife today, at T.J. Maxx, while looking for men’s fragrances. Got back to the condo, tested all my new purchases on torn shreds of the boxes for test strips (also scored Oud for Glory). This was around 2:15pm. We both liked them, then the youngin’s started waking up from their naps and we just forgot about the fragrances and went about the rest of our day. Myself being hyper fixated on fragrances right now I sprayed down with the oud and we took off to the beach. Fast forward a bit, back in the room, getting ready for dinner, I changed shirts, hit a couple more sprays of oud and headed out. I say all that to say this: When we got back from dinner around 7:30pm, we walked back in the condo and I could still smell the 2 test sprays of Zodiac Solmaris 5 hours later throughout the whole room while the oud was struggling on both skin and clothes.

Its so good. I really loved this one so much. Its airy and delicate but potent at the same time. Got a compliment 8h into the fragrance. Its salty yet refined. Also a bit polarizing as most salty frags are but....its so good I ordered 2 more bottles. No seaweed nor funky saltyness here. Its well blended and airy. Also this will shine in summer months, but could be worn all year round. Smell 9/10 Longevity 10/10 Sillage all day long Projects for 4+ hours New Odyssey Ba Ha Mas is same DNA but more fruity (melon) less salty. Also pretty good but not as airy, more sweet fruity.

Cercavo un dupe di "le sel d'issey" ed ho acquistato alla cieca questo gioiellino per 19,50€ su un noto sito. Ragazzi questo è più buono e longevo dell'originale a cui si ispira. Dategli un paio di settimane di maturazione e vi sbalordirà. Credo sia il mio migliore acquisto per qualità/prezzo. Se ne parlassero gli influencer potrebbe costare tranquillamente il doppio.

Many reviews claimed this is a dupe of Le Sel d’Issey by Issey Miyake, which I do own and love. Thought I would get this to have a cheapie to overspray. Well, scent wise this is extremely close! Solmaris longevity and projection are above average but weaker than Le Sel. This could change over time with maturation but cannot tell yet, since I have this only for a couple of days

This fragrance is a must buy! It's at Marshall's and TJ Max as we speak so go get it. The DNA that is in this fragrance is something that I haven't experienced before and i instantly i became addicted. Supposedly the DNA in this was created by Quinton B. who is the nose behind many beloved fragrances. If this was in a Island by Khadlaj bottle this might be their best seller.

this is definitly a clone of le sel d'issey with a twist, it has a fruity sweetness which is less prominent in the OG, and less salty than the OG but still a salty marine fragrance. it is a safe and inoffensif fragrance for everyday life. logevity and sillage are above average. overall this is a great value for money if you're looking for a daily scent.

Owing both Le Sel d'Issey and Solimaris, I have to admit they are really close, especially the first minutes after spraying. Le Sel is more refined and sophisticated, you can tell the difference in quality. If Le Sel is 9/10, Solimaris would be 7.5/10. I really hate the bottle. Yes, heavy and solid, but this gold - mint combo makes it more feminine.

Super fresh, aquatic scent. The salty water is what you smell on the initial spray but as it dries down it smells like your standing in an old shack that has algae and vetiver hung from the ceilings to dry. Super salty & delicious, the algae us especially prominent and smells super briney, so much so its almost metallic in a photorealistic way.

This fragrance is incredible. Im a 38 yr old woman, and I LOVE unisex, marine, salty and fresh frags for the spring and summer. This is crisp, and watery, and clean smelling. I also get a lot of the ginger in here, and its just so well balanced. Definitely will purchase again when I run out.

My, my, my this is brilliant. Fresh, aquatic and salty. All summer long. Definitely has Issey dna. This is very good. If og Issey and Bulgari Aqua had a love child, take away the seaweed and presto, this is what you have. Love it

this stuff lasts a long time for a freshie. its nice and fairly unisex. there's a bit of sweetness in this and the algae note comes off like honeydew melon. its fairly non offensive and probably would work for just about anyone.

This is beautiful. I can pick up some Megamare and Ganymede and maybe a bit of Nautica Voyage ex the cucumber. Retaining all the all best parts with a nice creamy drydown.

Algae leaves in a bottle. Never compared to Le Sel d'Issey or Megamare, but Solmaris is salty and very aquatic. Definately can recommend it if you like such accords

Did not expect this to be this potent. Thought it would be light so did 6-8 spays and got suffocated 🤣 its nuclear. Very nice, airy and smooth.

Aquatic, ginger and algae prominent. The dry down is awesome with the oakmoss. Close to Issy Miyake Le Sel. Happy i bought more than 1 bottle.

I don't know why I like it. Being so unnatural and strange, it really reminds Le Sel d’Issey and Megamare.

I've had a bottle of Le Sel D'Issey (EDT) for close to 2 years and this is quite a well made clone, not perfect, but if you want to see what all the hype is about this is worth at least checking out. I usually show friends or family members the real Issey Miyake - Le Sel D'Issey (EDT) and everyone seems to love it until I tell them the price tag, even from discounters. I must know an awful lot of cheapskates as this isn't Roja Dove or Clive Christian expensive! The opening is at least 80% accurate. With a brand new bottle. This is nowhere near as loud. Perhaps the original is a bit spicier. People are going to know what you've got on. By the dry down it starts to become less accurate, if you're familiar with the real Le Sel D'Issey you'll know that the dry down is the best part. I can't put my finger on what it is exactly, but it's missing something important. Maybe in a few months it'll become more accurate because as usual Fragrance World claims that yet another one of their fragrances is an EDP concentration. Is this overly fishy? No, this is far from Nori seaweed paper or splashing yourself with a bucket of sea water Does the ginger ruin the fragrance? No it's a great supporting note and the salt absolutely adds to the fragrance. This is an every day sort of fragrance that is extremely easy to wear, there isn't anything challenging in this. men or women could pull this off. Ask yourself this, do you want to smell like a fun day at the beach where the sun is shining? This is it. This is office safe as it's not going to fill up the room like the real Le Sel D'Issey (so far) with a moderate amount of sprays. I'd reach for something different for First dates, before or after the McDonald's, I mean fine dining, or anything formal where you'll need a suit and tie or clubbing. I usually do 5 sprays of the original. I remember doing 7 one day and I had people coughing around me. That was a good day! However, I've tried close to 10 fragrance world products that I've either bought for myself or others and you'll need to double the amount of sprays to get a full day out of this. Under $30 (Canadian) I'd be fine bathing in this and I'll save the real fragrance for those more significant days.

This is an inoffensive, aquatic freshie suitable for any occasion or season. To my nose, it smells like a cousin of Eau de Lacoste L.12 White, though that one is creamier and more floral. Zodiac Solmaris is definitely in the wheelhouse of those type of fragrances though. Sillage is initially very strong, but longevity is an issue, as it fades to a skin scent within 1-2 hours. Maceration may help this. Nothing new or groundbreaking here, as we've smelled these type of notes before. If you can pick up a bottle cheaply, go for it. But I wouldn't break the bank to buy a bottle. 7/10

Dont know about Le Sel Dissey but this smells like the OG 2005 formulation of Bvlgari Aqva with twice the longevity. Matter of fact, this smells like what a Bvlgari Aqva Eau Fraiche would smell like, as it is lighter and a little bit brigther, but its the same scent. If Bvlgari Aqva is the deep ocean, green and sharp, this would be the shallow part of that same ocean but saltier and more fresh. Amazing value for what it does.

Very safe and linear scent. Nice daily driver especially for warmer months. I let mine sit for a month and it easily lasts an entire shift for me. Maybe a little too strong for small/closed offices IMO. I have no experience with the inspiration so I can't give any opinion on that but to me this great daily scent that's worth under $30

It is salty! It is marine! It is definitely not even close to Orto Parisi Megamare! Maybe has the Aqva pour Homme vibe, but it is not it either. For a feshy, the longevity is extremely surprising. Maybe not a safe blind buy, but the price is so low, that it is not a bad idea to have in the collection

Fresh cooling scent, very strong too, 3 sprays and it's already a lot. I wear men's fragrances sometimes but this may be too masculine leaning even for me.

It's kinda nice but they should have let the ginger and oakmoss be stronger than the musk.

A lukewarm like for me ! It is a good fragrance but for being a summer fragrance it's very thick and dense. Almost too dense ! To describe this scent it's fresh,airy,salty but with a lot of depth and richness to it as well. I like the scent profile and the scent but when I wear this I just wish I would have worn other scents that are in the aquatic/freshiecategory.(Club de nuit Milestone,D & G Light Blue, Nautical Voyage) Performance on this is amazing though !! It lasts me 24+ hours and very strong projection for 3 hours. Even when I wake up the next day I smell this strongly. Overall rating -6.5 out of 10 !

It smells like they mixed Le Sel d'Issey with Megamare. The problem is Megamare is a divisive but bold fragrance, and Le Sel d'Issey is a mass appealing freshie. This feels like an unsuccessful amalgamation of the two, combining the bad sides of both. 6,5/10

Is about as similar to the original as a tribute act. This is 70% there but has a horrible sour one on my skin, it is lacking any of the sweetness or depth from seaweed.

Scent is nice but there is no performance at all. 1-2hrs indoors and it's gone. Cheap but not worth even that. Waste of money.

They nail the aquatic saltwater life here. Its just not for me. Decent performance as well.

I'm once again convinced that perfume bloggers are phony and can't be trusted! I watched a YouTube blogger claim that Paris Corner Zodiac Solmaris is a longer-lasting version than Issey Miyake Le Sel d'Issey. In fact, it turned out to be the exact opposite! Zodiac Solmaris lasts 2-3 hours at best indoors at 24°C (75°F). In the hot weather outside, it wears off in 5 minutes. As for the scent, it's salty at first, then transitions to a white musk, becoming similar to Nautica Voyage. Is it worth buying as a replacement for Issey Miyake Le Sel d'Issey? Of course not! It's better to buy the original Issey Miyake Le Sel d'Issey!

Blue, musky, slightly sweet and fresh aquatic scent. It retains some of the musky quality of the other 'Zodiac' flankers but puts a heavy emphasis on the salt and algae accords. I'm happy to say that the musk is pleasantly balanced with the subtle ginger. Very unique and definitely takes a certain type of wearer to appreciate it -- but I love it. It evokes the feeling of a wrinkled but freshly washed loose fitting french linen shirt blowing in the wind while standing at top of the mountains of a shoreline by the ocean with waves crashing against the rocks underneath in the blazing heat. I absolutely despised 'Zodiac Stratos' -- the worst fragrance from Paris Corner i've smelled so far -- but 'Zodiac Solmaris' is a certified banger for the warmer months or in the wintertime when you want to be reminded of the ocean's salty and breezy embrace. I have sampled 'Le Sel D'Issey EDP' by Issey Miyake but I prefer this.

clean oceanic salty vibes totally unisex, very classy clean girl on a woman nearly 1:1 with Le Sel Issey Miake, except Solmaris is imo to my noise, more refine, more oceanic, more projecting and long lasting. if you like Le Sel but want something more unisex, more complex,. stronger, go for Solmaris

I like this very much. Agree with other reviews that this isn't invasive. While that means performance and projection are on the softer side as a result, but still it isnt too low. It’s a fantastic option if you're looking for a subtle, fresh, and slightly sweet scent that won't overpower a room.

almost one to one with le sel d'issey by issey miyake, just a lot weaker.

Such a gorgous scent, the dry down is cream, woody, and delicious.

Anyone compared it with Rasasi Rafan?
