Just Me for Men

It's weird that when we talk about clones this isn't brought up more. If you like original Acqua di Gio then this is literally exactly the same and in some cases it has a note that is just a little sharper and better imo than original AdG so to me it's just a tad bit more sexy because of that note that I can't pick out what it is exactly because YSL - Y has something similar and it reminds me so much of that really sensual note that I liked in AdG, this (Just Me) has that note but more precise. This is just a more sexy AdG but done in a way that almost makes this seem like it's own scent (to be clear though this is a very very well done clone of AdG that just had a little science done on it to make it a tad more sexy and sensual but it's still a clone just amp'd up on a few notes) Anyways this is like 20 bucks or less; it has good performance and sillage and yeah women like it because duh its AdG! If you are wanting to build up your collection or just want something that smells great and isn't going to break the bank then this is (imo) King of Clones and Cheapies! It's 99% AdG with just a slight bit more sensual/sexy sharpness which is btw a good thing! I wear this and yeah women like it a lot and it's just a great value. Actually I don't even care if you don't like AdG, you should still prolly have this clone in your lineup in times where wearing AdG would be appropriate. I don't wear this as much anymore because i have a bigger collection but when I was just getting into frags I don't know how I found out about this but I blind bought it for 15 bucks + shipping and boy oh boy I wish all clones had this quality because you check out some other clones and there are some really bad traits that some of them have (Looking at that opening of CDNIM and some other Armaf scents) this one start to finish is fantastic. The only truly negative thing you could put out about this fragrance is that it's a clone but personally I don't care about all the clone hate; my money is more important to me than supporting a brand, sorry but that's real. Blind buy worthy, signature scent worthy and perfect for any man regardless of age, who's looking to put their foot in the door when it comes to fragrance or just looking for some of that old AdG magic but don't want to pay Armani prices.

This was the third fragrance I ever bought myself. I remember being put off by its super alcoholic opening and my brother-in-law tried to buy it off me. I gave Just Me for Men a few more wearings and fell in love! The "alcoholic opening" happens to be an effervescence accord. The fragrance opens with an identical fizziness that I found in Perry Ellis 360 Red. However, the opening in Just Me happens to be sweeter than PE 360 Red. The marketing statement of "A playful breeze ... with sparkling notes ... refreshes us..." is spot on. However, I don't detect black currant or blueberries or other fruits. The only fruits detectable are sharp citrus fruits. I will admit that there is something narcotic about the opening. It's so sexy and addicting that I don't mind spraying it over and over again for the top notes. After a few minutes, the effervescence of Just Me for Men dies down and sharp, fruity citric accords continues to reign king. I would say mandarin and lemon are the centerpieces while the lime provides a sharp texture Eventually a mild spice and earthy accords join the citrus. I would guess these accords to be some sort of variation of nutmeg, cloves, and patchouli. Besides the fizzy citrus opening, the fragrance is rather linear. I do venture to say it's an earthier and darker version of Aqua Di Gio. I prefer it a lot more than ADG. I also think it's very similar to Perry Ellis 360 Red. After all, the perfumer for 360 Red and Just Me for Men are the same. 360 Red is spicier and has better longevity and projection. If you're looking to fill a room, go with 360 Red. However, part of me prefers Just Me. While most people know of ADG and PE 360 Red, most don't know about Just Me for Men by Paris Hilton. That's part of its charm, for me. Also, people do ask if you're wearing ADG, so be prepared to go along or coyly admit it's Just Me for Men by Paris Hilton... ahahaha! This used to be my "clubbing scent" because I find it too seductive and almost inappropriate for work or casual settings. I wish the fizzy opening lasted longer because it's so amazing. I have a lot of scent memories attached to this fragrance. I remember over-spraying the hell out of it on my nights out to the bars and dancing. Ahhhhhhh :)

This could easily be my signature scent. It's not the best fragrance I've smelled but there's something here... This is not a fragrance that makes you smell yourself nose to skin — this is more like your favourite jacket that works just like it should and fits you just perfectly. Resemblance to Acqua di Gio is noticeable but Just Me for Men is sweeter. It also lasts longer than AdG. If you want that AdG masculinity just choose Acqua di Gio Profumo over AdG — smells even better than the original and lasts forever. But enough of AdG. Just Me for Men is very '90s. I'm pretty sure you will have an even stronger opinion if you were born between let's say 1977 and 1987. I'm pretty sure my generation (I'm 1978) generally smells like this. At least in my country where Axe (also known as Lynx) was a big thing in the late 1990s. This takes me back to big outdoor festivals or just a Friday night out. Smell of hair gel, booze mixed with sharp smelling fruity softdrinks, cigarette butts, hair spray, smoke... It's mouth-watering, refreshing like just opened grape soda can, shamelessly synthetic, and at times the sweetnes makes my teeth hurt... in a good way. :D It's funny but somehow the smell reminds me of Wella High Hair spraying gel that I had in ~1997. Speaking of that, I don't know what's wrong with the sprayer of my bottle. It's like it's stuck and sprays just little bursts. But it doesn't leak past the cap so maybe it's supposed to be that way? What more can I say... Jean-Louis Grauby delivers! If you are older generation with Tabac and Old Spice with you, this might smell too "youthful" to you. If you are younger generation with 1 Million and Invictus this might smell dated to you, like something only your dad wears. :D Hot days of summer or gym and I'll be pumping heavy on the trigger! Edit 2018: This is my signature scent. For sure.

I finally got this, and for 15.oo USD for a 30 ml bottle it was quite the value. As stated before I initially wrote this off as an AdG clone, and at first it is, but it becomes something else entirely... This begins with a very lush fruity blend of green grass, black currants,(not blueberries),tangerine, lime and citrus-this is where the similarity to Gio ends for me. The next phase is slightly spiced with cloves and clary sage and hints at licorice but this too fades as the "sea breeze" blows in with a soft lotus and incense aroma that is heavenly.The subtle and sexy drydown is a little darker than that found in most aquatics and consists of musk, amber and patchouli 'lite';this together with the Amazon moss and white woods makes it just a bit exotic but clean and smooth. I prefer this to Heir but find it less unique than Man... Sillage: good Longevity: decent Overall: 3.75/5 AdG is in my top 5 scents, JM is not, but it is still quite good and very sexy. Although I dislike her insipid TV show and excessive debutante lifestyle, I try not to let my perceptions of her color my opinion of a nice frag that happens to be released by her. While I may not be able to keep an open mind concerning the woman herself, I try to keep an open "nostril" when it comes to celeb-scents in general...and I'm glad I did,I really enjoy this!

Like most other reviewers, I do pick up the strong similarities to Acqua de Gio, but as rickyfreaky13 has already mentioned, this also bears more than a passing resemblance to Sunset Heat. This combination makes for a really fresh, but interesting scent. This isn't boring fresh, in fact I love this and there isn't anything quite like it out at the moment. I'm still very impressed with Paris Hilton's men's line. It opens with some nice refreshing, juicy citrus notes, but at the same time it doesn't come off as being too airy and light, and the berry notes keep it from feeling too bright and sharp. The middle and base notes are lovely, green and mossy but remain undeniably modern and come out as a perfect 50/50 blend of AdG and Sunset Heat. Projection appears to be pretty good and you should catch wafts of this on yourself for quite some time. I've not had this long but the longevity seems to hold up, maybe not quite as long as Paris Hilton For Men, but it's still more than respectable. This is definitely a spring/summer fragrance, and whilst it'd be suited for a sweltering, sunny day, it'd also go down well in the club, especially on those hot, summer nights. This will definitely be coming with me on holiday this year!
