Looking for Vanilla

This one. This one smells really special to me. I feel like I have been looking for something very unique in perfumes lately, my taste has become more critical and I've been noticing a lot of patterns in between new perfume releases, niche and designers alike. I wanted to be surprised again. When I smelled this, I was struck by a very clear image : The gummy candy called "QQ Tang" that I ate throughout my childhood in China, and specifically the blueberry flavour. This is the perfect rendition of that candy's smell, spot on. I was misled by this perfume's name : "Looking for Vanilla". To me this doesn't smell like "vanilla" at all (maybe that's why I was "looking for it"), it has the warm and sweet facets of it but to my nose the profile leans toward a very sweet industrial candy, without being too sugary if it makes sense. It's made in a way that the sweetness is warm and embracing, and works perfectly when the weather is cold. The longevity is insane, it lasts easily a day on my skin. It's also very unisex. I'm a dude and I bought it for myself, but boy oh boy would I go feral if my gf wore this. Great job, you did it again, Mr. Almairac !

I was definitely surprised by this one. I was expecting an airy vanilla but was instead hit with a strong whiff of some sort of sweet, thick very creamy vanilla. It’s very pungent for sure. To me, this is very photorealistic to food grade vanilla extract, in the best way possible. It reads as sticky, syrupy. Surprisingly has a lot of depth and we can thank the jasmine note for bringing down the sweetness a notch. It breaks the linearity of the vanilla and helps add a very sexy, indolic note. It’s definitely up there with Vanilla Powder and Vanille Caviar on my favorite vanilla-heavy fragrances list.

Marzipan! This definitely pulls almondy for me, which I adore. This is also one of those mythical compliment getters for me. I did have a waiter tell me he smelled me as soon as I walked through door. Does that sound like a lie? Sure. Do I have any reason to lie? Not really, no.

on paper this smells sensual and so so addictive. i've been putting my nose to paper for an hour now and it's going through a journey lol haven't tested on skin but looking forward to

It's not just sweet vanilla, but a clean, pure vanilla. I was hooked by the scent and immediately decided to buy it.Perfect for cold weather and long-lasting enjoyment.

Had a sample. Love!!! Have a bottle. Addicted!!! Definitely more going on than what the notes listed here suggest. Working on finding a backup bottle.

I wish I got the coconut or cherry or creaminess or sweetness that everyone is getting. To me this is mostly playdoughy and plasticky. It’s almost exactly the same as Liis celestial objects. I think the tonka bean in both perfumes is what’s giving that plastic play dough thing going on. It also almost veers into icy hot or some other medicated skin ointment as it’s almost a little menthol-y, but not minty. I’ll need to let this sit for a while but may be a busy blind buy :(

Picking up a cherry almond vibe, although those notes aren’t listed. Sweet and creamy like marzipan, not for everyone or every day. More like a dessert treat you indulge in occasionally. Long lasting, the vanilla dry down is pure, delicious and potent, less is more!

I've only smelled this on paper so far, but was very surprised by mix of notes. To me it smells like a mix of a Dr. Pepper or a cola with, distinctively, cherry chapstick. There's definitely something almond, cherry and powdery in there for me coming from the tonka. Less vanilla. It's very playful but not my personal style.

My husband picked this out at scent bar for me since the day he went they were putting it out as a new release! It’s only been sprayed once and it’s a bit to strong for me! Message me if you are interested! I have to say this fragrance does have a cherry note even though I hadn’t seen it listed. I definitely get cherry! It’s beautiful and strong so if you like those type of fragrances please reach out!

Something about this feels very masculine to me, perhaps the patchouli is giving me men's "cologne" vibes... I like smelling it fine, but I can't stand wearing it.

FINALLY!!! I thought this was some hoax, as I've got this fragrance in one of the Parle Moi boutiques in Paris mid August. In the meantime, no info online, not even a word, no reviews, no influ posting, no PR videos. Nothing. This went silent. They told me at the boutique that it's brand new and only available in this and in the other boutique in Paris for now and that's it. Because I was debating should I go full trotille and buy a 100ml after wearing it for only 30 minutes.... as I fell deeply in love with this scent, but I settled for a 50ml. Knowing I'll be buying more perfume on my trip and hoarding them in my cabin bag (spoiler alert: I managed to get through security with 4 different bottles 50ml, 75ml, 50ml and a 100ml lol). Anyway! I have around 400 frags in my collection and half of them are vanillas. And I wouldn't say this one is absolutely unique, but it somehow is. Yes, it has *a bit* of this playdough'y thing going on. So if you like Dior Hypnotic Poison, you'll dig this. Yes, it has a slight cherry lingering in the opening, but only because it's the almond playing with you. If you like Joop! Le Bain you'll dig this. Yes, if you like Phlur Cashmere Skin...oh you're going to love this. The most resemblance it has to Jovoy Fire at Will, but still not quite it. I'd say it has a dash of Lait de Biscuit Chabaud Maison de Parfum in it too. It doesn't necessarily resemble Delight from Maison Margiela, but it's exactly what I would expect that botched fragrance should be! (I dislike TF S*x) This should've been MMM delight. Fullstop haha. This is a deep, almondy, custardy vanilla, vanilla cake baking sugar. Not too bourbon, not dirty, it's deep and creamy. And at the same time it's not overly heavy. It's not the Babycat or Kayali 28 type. I tested and bought this fragrance in August in around 30C heat. Knowing I will not be wearing this in such heat, somehow I managed haha. It was still captivating and made me fall in love with itself very quickly. I left the boutique and came back in around 30 mins to get a bottle. There's a light, slightly madeleine pastry and powdered sugar quality to this. Reminds me of pastel de nata pastry! I've been wearing it few times in past months and I can say the quality and longevity is BEAST. No joke. Maybe the 50ml I got will actually last me longer than anticipated. I was doing laundry and the clothes I sprayed 3 WEEKS AGO were still literally reeking this fragrance bold AF, like I just sprayed them minutes ago. Mindblown. Even if I take the cap off the bottle to sniff:intoxicate myself, it lingers around my nose for another 30mins or so. Beautiful fragrance. I hope it's nlt going to remain boutique exclusive and I will be able to repurchase it if I need. If no, I'll just have to book another flight to Paris.

I absolutely can’t. I am having deep regret for purchasing this fragrance. I was on vacation in Paris and decided to check out fragrances that I can’t find in the US. I spent quite a bit of time in this boutique and couldn’t find anything that I really loved. Spent about 45 minutes before I asked for a vanilla (my favorite note) and the sales associate suggested this one. She was lovely, but the way. Maybe I was desperate to find something and, perhaps, this was the best of all the options I smelled, so I quickly purchased and ran out of the store as we had an appointment at another fragrance boutique. I didn’t open the box until I got back to the states and after the first spray I immediately wanted to vomit. I wasn’t feeling great and blamed it on being ill (as a few of the other fragrances I purchased smelled “off”). I sniffed the bottle a few weeks later and had the same reaction. It’s now been 3 months and I decided to spray it on my arm (same reaction) but wanted to give it a chance to dry down. I waited 30 minutes before I frantically began scrubbing it off my arm. I don’t know what it is about this fragrance, but it’s just not for me. I’m really bummed about it. It’s very sharp and almost metallic? While I’m a collector, I don’t claim to know much about notes and blends, so forgive me for the lack of a better description. Something smells pungent, almost as if the fragrance went “off”? If anyone is looking for this fragrance (after my great review 😂), I’m willing to part for a great price.

Still playing around with this one because I just received. It took me by surprise, almost like a cherry milk shake to begin with, then slowly dries down to very familiar smell I can’t quite put my finger on. This is a bright happy vanilla that has had a joyful week at work. I will say this is a more commercial fragrance from the brand, leans fem but men can definitely rock this with ease. Will return and update once I can fully wear test and understand it a bit more. Just wanted others who were curious to get somewhat of an impression Edit: I plan to wear this on Valentine’s Day, this smells like Valentine’s Day in the best way possible. To me it’s a constantly shifting cherry note, so red that you almost catch hints of other red fruits as well. It’s as if you have the ingredients for the pie on the counter, then you have the pie in the oven briefly, and finally you have the baked heart shaped cherry almond vanilla pie with a jasmine infused crust. It rotates through this cycle constantly for me. It will SHOUT for the first 10-20 minutes but soon after will start to cozy up and make an all day home on your clothes and skin. Hidden Gem

This is sexy material. It has a punch of Jasmine surrounded by a very beautiful vanilla note and a clean patchouli drydown, I perceive something like almond? probably it is the type of Tonka that they used. This is strong, projects like crazy! it has something slightly harsh on my sinuses...some sort of synthetic aromachemical is annoying my nose... Oh well... I like it a lot. Not sure I can buy a full bottle and risk heavy migraines. Whatever aromachemical they put in here that is burning my nose is ruinning the scent for me. I really wish I could tolerate these things better, but I am made of flesh...with sensitive sinuses.... I love the scent. How annoying! Will keep my sample and try again another day...

Divine. This is just so lovely. Complex, sultry, slightly gourmand. A sophisticated, beautifully balanced composition. It is indeed what I've been looking for. My only criticism is the intimate silage. This is where the lack of options for ingredients to vote for in the fragrance composition is a downfall of fragrantica. Honestly, I almost didn't buy the sample because the fragrance pyramid above looked so simple. In reality, its far from simple. Notes from the perfume house website include orange and jasmine as top notes, almond, cherry and tonka bean heart notes, and a base of vanilla and patchouli. I think this will very quickly become my daily wear.

This fragrance caught me off guard in the best way. I sprayed it once in store and knew I had to take a bottle home. Opens up like a cherry/almond vanilla. Then as time goes on It smells like a vanilla coconut milkshake with vanilla wafers on the side. Boozy on the opening & biscuity creamy smooth on the drydown. As it settles, you get light woody and caramel notes. So you end up with a Vanilla-heavy coconut milkshake vibe with caramel and slight creamy milk chocolate nuances. I plan to wear this one on windy & Snowy winter days. It’s relaxing, cozy & sensational. Overall rating: 9/10.

I was not expecting this fragrance to smell like this. On me, it’s like a syrupy blue coconut shaved ice, nothing similar to the notes listed. So strange but really nice. The patchouli and jasmin are extremely faint and they almost give a slight freshness near the dry down; like watchers from afar. The dry down has a balmy vanilla lipgloss vibe. This fragrance also makes you feel good somehow. Odd but love it.

Whatever this is, is super sweet for sure. I get sugar, vanilla, yellow pollen or possibly a dusty floral note. It’s not just sugared vanilla, there’s something else in here. Way too sweet for me, like a facefull of cotton candy.

I guess tonka bean smells like medicine to me. This smells like a boozy vanilla (it's so boozy it leans cough syrup). I think the tonka also gives it a air freshner quality.
