The Hour of Dusk & Gold

First of all there's no perfume I can compare this to. This is a different path I've followed in regards to scent, for me it is unisex, but not knowing personally any frag heads, nobody I know would be wearing this, it's leans to more masculine imo. In scents that are masculine, that I've tried they tend to go aquatic,or lavender finish, they smell similar to me in the end. But not this one, I really like this, I've made my sample last for a while, as a little does go a long way. Now I wore it before bed last night, it's not a cosy scent, but I get the feeling when you've had a great day, you're relaxed,it's warm quiet evening, suns gone down and you smell the air, that's what it reminds me of, very rarely a scent for me describes the memory of being abroad, but this does. So it's warm and spicy, it's not harsh either, there is a sweetness, but not gourmand, so that's where I see unisex comes in. It seemed to disappear after an hour but when I woke up a few hours later I smelt this scent. Sometimes it's nose to wrist, sometimes wafts come up when I'm relaxing, it's not a beast on me. I get the spicy hit, but on the base notes, the liquid amber, vanilla, black pepper, for me don't stand out individually, just merge together just nicely. Now it's not cheap. But you can buy samples, which I advise. But they do sell travel sizes too in 15 ml if the purse strings doesn't stretch that far. Which I'm going to be doing soon. It's lovely, a bit unusual, and any sex can wear this. I'd recommend trying this. Edit May 2022. I'll be getting married in 2023 in June and I think this will be the perfume I'll wear. My partner likes Molten Browns black pepper so I'll get him a spray of that because if iirc it's the same perfumers work which will compliment mine. Edit 20th August 2023 well I married on a beautiful day in June and both my husband and myself wore this and it was lovely.

Mmmmmm an overdose of spices!!! Love it! It’s simple (just spices and some sandalwood), but it’s very nice. It has a soft waxy base with a lovely aromatic finish. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

The sun is going down. It's cold outside, but you're safely wrapped in the warmth of your favorite secondhand bookshop. You open your newest purchase, reapply your lipstick, and take a sip from your cup of spiced black tea. Old books, makeup powder, and spice. The spice gets heavier as it dries down. It's warm, but not sweet. A great scent for fall or winter.
