An absolutely lovely fragrance! I was really taken aback by just how nice it is. I am an amber and spice kind of guy rather than aquatic (I loathe Nautica blue). My preferred scents tend to be heavier. However, Pecksniff's Professional is an amber that behaves like an aquatic, so it can be worn on occasions when a lighter touch is called for, like enclosed spaces and summer heat. The only issue with it is the longevity, but as the review above says, it's a small caliber office scent. It also works as a personal pick-me-up. I haven't tried dousing myself with it yet to see if it has a beast mode side. But I may just have to accept this as a "small" cologne. Keep it in you bag or your glovebox and apply as needed. Just know it's not gonna last.

Great classic scent. The breakdown on the front of the box is pretty accurate. My wife found ot for $10 and brought it home for me. I love finding nice scents at great deals. This is good for a blind grab when you dont have anyone to wow, but want to smell, as the box suggests, professional

I'm adicted to the smell. It's either the lemon like scented or the very heavy amber and leather. For a perfume for men, definely one of my favorites. If anyone says this smeels bad they don't like sweet or deep intense perfumes.

A beautiful, dry, cozy cedar cologne: lemon, cedar, amber, as the package suggests, with lovely touches of bergamot, lavender, sea, hey, orange, clove, and an elegant patchouli.

I sprayed this on at Marshalls fully expecting a generic scent with a sweet base like 90% of the the stuff out there but what I got surprised me. It smells like a classic that I can't put my finger on. The guy a few spots below me said a summer flanker to opium ph, and he might be right. The bottle was literally falling apart with cologne leaking everywhere so I wasn't going to buy it, but the fragrance itself wasn't bad. Longevity was poor and lasted 2-3 hours before it was pretty much gone. Projection was very strong initially giving the impression of an eau de cologne.I wouldn't mind using this one as an aftershave or a refreshing edc when I'm in the mood for wearing something with a vintage vibe. Great value for 10 bucks at the discount stores, especially for a juice that was apparently made in England. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scent 65/100 Performance 20/100

This is a very woody chyphre perfume, but inoffensive. It is a woody chyphre perfume that definitely goes through its phases. The final drydown is very pleasant. This one does lean very masculine. I had thought it would be along the lines of Zara's S4ND4LW00D. But, what I get is a fresh whiff of pencil shaving like scent. It is a grower if you aren't used to wearing woody chyphre perfumes. Parfumo website has these notes: Top Notes: Bergamot, Lavender, Marine notes. Heart Notes: Leather, Black pepper. Base Notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Amber. These seem more in line with what I have observed.

This is the best scent out of all Pecksniff’s fragrances, a perfect blend of citrus, leather, and wood that feels distinct, unique, and far from generic. I haven’t smelled anything quite like it, and I absolutely love it. However, their bottles are awful. The atomizers are the worst I’ve ever seen, and I have no idea how they just stop working. Do atomizers expire? I own several Pecksniff’s fragrances, and every single one has failed. The scent itself is a solid 7 out of 10, but the bottle is a disastrous 0 out of 10.

Simple Review: Look I bought this fragrance for $6 (discounted) at the local Marshall’s, so at that price point it has to smell like dung for me to dislike it. This isn’t a sophisticated fragrance and at $12-$15 I don’t think it’s meant to be. To me its a classic smell perhaps even a barbershop vibe that I’m really digging. Again for a few bucks you can’t go wrong...

Got mine for $7.99 at Marshall's. You don't expect much at this price point. The bottle is complete crap... mine leaks and the atomizer will stop working. The fragrance itself is far above what you expect. Reminiscent of classic fougere colognes and perfect for the office. Inoffensive and but not memorable either. 4/5. If you're on a budget, this stuff is perfect.

Great cheapy. Everyday scent that you can wear without breaking the bank and always smell nice. Very inoffensive yet manly. The woody and resinous smell with citrus undertones are nice.. a bit of pepper rounds out this affordable oriental.

A light amber fragrance dominated by dry cedarwood. Opens with citrus and lavender. The cedar is there almost from the start. The base has patchouli and warm amber. Pecksniff’s website calls it a chypre leather fragrance. The cedar, patchouli and pepper do create something similar to a leather accord. The bottle lists lemon, cedar and amber. That’s what I primarily experience with Professional. Very masculine but with subtlety. Works year-round. Lasts 3-4 hours. Descent casual option.

I wanted so much to like this purely because I thought that their Active was lovely. All I'm getting from Professional is a lot of Iso E. At least after half an hour when it's pretty much settled. Thin, weak and redolent of pencil shavings. Reminds me of a diluted Montana Graphite. Shame. The Active is really nice, though. That suits me a lot more. Having said this, there's nothing inoffensive about it. If you want a light woody scent with just a little bit of citrus for the first half hour then it's fine. An inobtrusive office scent, if you like. I think that was the point. There's no question about the quality of this one either.

A focused study of cedar, like the smell of an 18th century cedar closet in an old New England house. Cedar up front, with a curl of lemon behind the wood, discreet and not really noticeable unless you look for it. The amber is the "woody" kind, which makes sense here. Rather one note and linear, but the cedar is realistic enough to remind me of Krizia Uomo, making this a go-to for autumn shaves. Pairs nicely with Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla.

This smells as if someone tried to create a summer version of YSL L'Opium pour Homme. It is well executed and the performance is not bad at all. A light oriental that smells very classy and is an absolute bargain at TK Maxx.
