I also believe the notes are incorrect, or at least incomplete as there is definitely licorice in there. The Paris Corner website has a picture that lists the complete Amouage notes, but the text list below the picture are the same as here on Fragrantica. I find discrepancies like this all the time and it makes it confusing as hell trying to figure out the truth. In this case I lean more towards the Amouage list with the prominent licorice, spices and amber notes. I really like licorice scents and it's a great combo with the tobacco and amber.

Out of the box this was a bit chemical and I thought it was a waste of money. About 6 months later and it smells outstanding. All of the chemical opening has completely disappeared. I'm getting a very green, resinous tobacco from this in the opening. In the drydown, I get the same with some licorice and Smoky incense. This was worth the wait. Also, the longevity and potency is perfectly balanced.

Tobacco and ash, reminds me of Amouage Tobacco or Opus Magnum. Evening formal, cold weather. 4 stars, long lasting with heavy projection. The cheaper and more accesible Opus Magnum I bought it for $10 !!! Best purchase in 2026 so far ... It didn;y get any love ,,, it truly deserves

This definitely improved over several months. I hated it at first, chemical mess, but has gotten very wearable, perhaps on date nights. Changed from hate to like. Give it some time.

It has two dominant accords: one is fine — some kind of herb, like mint — and the other is bitter in an unpleasant way. I don't remember anything like that in Royal Tobacco.

Bought this for under 10€ just out of curiosity. I got the surprise I asked for. To me this is gingerbread and bar soap. With a hint of church. Clearly evoking gingerbread while smelling better than the actual thing, no dusty fennel vibes but creamy woody elegant tones instead. Noticable hints of churchy incense peeking through. And a very solid dose of white bar soap. All of these notes smell super well made actually, smooth and rather authentic, surprisingly good. The combination is.. interesting. Very niche for sure, lol. Strength and lasting power are medium. I don't know the original but I cannot imagine it smelling like gingerbread and bar soap. No tobacco here at all, which I appreciate. Not like any licorice scents I own. Or like any scent for that matter. This is weird but definitely not bad at all! Will revisit it in fall.

Perhaps it needs time, like the reviewer below me stated. As of now, the first spray creates a horrible mess, nowhere near its inspiration. While I adore the addictive Royal Tobacco, this one I don't even "like" at the moment. I'm not even indifferent or meh-ish about it; it's that awful.
