Charuto Tobacco Vanille

Brand new bottle. Testing on a blotter. Way back when I was a student, I lived above a fairly fancy tobbaconist for a few years. Every few weeks, as a little treat for studying/surviving, I would get myself a half ounce of their house blend clove rolling tobacco. On paper, this perfume smells exactly how I remember a freshly opened pouch of that stuff smelling. The tobacco here is fantastic. It's the most prominent note and smells very freshly cured, like almost too juicy still to be smokable. Spices are mostly cloves but there's a fair bit of cinnamon bark too, think that floral cinnamon not the sweet stuff. Dried fruits wise there's a prune note that's really nicely blended in with the tobacco, and I'm not getting any other fruits. I'm not getting any vanilla, cocoa, tonka or wood either, but that may just be as it's a new bottle sprayed on blotter paper. Man though, I really want one of those fancy clove rollies right now. I've been holding the blotter paper to my nose and smelling it this whole time and the back of my throat even tastes like smoking one of those now. Edit: it's a few minutes after I posted the review, I just picked up this blotter again and there's a fair bit of vanilla and some cocoa in the scent trail, just not right up close like I was holding it earlier. Really looking forward to wearing this when the weather gets cold.

From Tobacco-Vanilla to Vanilla-Tobacco... This is a dupe of Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford and Amber Oud Tobacco Edition Al Haramain with good approximation and well above average performance. Tested this a couple times. First test, the juice hadn't come alive yet but I could recognize the signature DNA of Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford and Amber Oud Tobacco Edition Al Haramain. Second test, the juice had come alive and had me wondering how they could make this for the price. The opening and into the heart has that fantasy sweet tobacco signature, but the longer it dries down, it takes a slightly different path and the tobacco fades to where it becomes more about vanilla. I find this more vanilla forward than the other two, but it could also be that there are fewer diverse notes as it's drying down. In other words, it goes from tobacco-vanilla to vanilla-tobacco. The performance is there, but it isn't as rich as the other two, and might be easier to wear year-round. Having said that, I really love it. 10/10. Enjoy! Upate 09/19/24: Performance has gotten a lot stronger, and the scent profile is much closer to Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford, with other nuances of tobacco coming out now, including dried fruit, wood & spices. Love it still.

I wouldn't say this is a dupe/clone of TF's TV, this is its own fragrance and in turn has it's own character. It may borrow from TV, but in no way is a dupe. *I* personally would buy this any day over TF, I'm not a TF fan in any way shape or form, so read from that as you will. I'd prefer to spend my money on Initio, Creed, Penhaligon, PdM or some of the Middle Eastern frag houses like Rasasi, Swiss Arabian's top end frags, so Paris Corner has a lot of different, gorgeous and highly affordable alternatives to the likes of MFK, TF, or even a couple of Louis Vuitton and Roja frags. The only downside to this frag, and others from Paris Corner are longevity, some of their frags are beast mode but still their longevity doesn't match their Sillage, nonetheless I love their frags, and this one is no exception. For £25-£30 you really are no going to go wrong, and in my books, it doesn't smell synthetic or cheap. I have about 10-12 frags from PC, and love about 90% of them :) Enjoy, and God bless.

Really just sweet tobacco! I don't get the clove as mentioned in other reviews but there is definitely an undercurrent of something like a stewed fruit, so that could be clove. I don't get vanilla either, just sweet. It has (three if I remember rightly) UV blockers/stabilisers in the ingredients which seem to help lengthen this fragrances longevity. It will easily last eight hours on your skin on a cool day. It will also project quite enthusiastically for the first three hours so don't over spray. Three, in my opinion, is the sweet spot. Not a youngsters fragrance. I think if you're under 40 it maybe hard to pull off but if your like me and as old as dirt then this is a lovely calming, warming, winter, scent that dad or grandad could rock. Just make sure you like the tobacco scent because this is unapologetically linear and strong to begin with before settling down. 8/10 for me as I think it's easier to wear than the original and a steal at the price.

It's been a month since I received it, and I kinda like it. I'm really not a fan of the opening, the top notes say "tobacco leaves" and oh boy, they didn't lie. I wouldn't go out wearing this right after spraying it. I get like 90% tobacco and 10% vanilla, and it stays like that for nearly an hour on my skin. I'm a big fan of the dry down though. When the tobacco note finally fades away and the vanilla joins the party, it's a very pleasant, non-offensive scent, very different from the opening. The dry-down is more unisex, leaning masculine, but the opening is for psychopaths only. That's a 4/5 for me, I wish the tobacco note wasn't so "in your face" in the opening. Update: I have to update this to a 5/5 because the opening is A LOT smoother now, and I get the vanilla straight away. In fact, it's more vanilla than tobacco now. The evolution of that fragrance in time was crazy, but it was worth the wait. This is so good now !

its identical to TF in the air, which really surprised me considering i paid like 13 bucks for it. mine didnt need much maceration. it was ready to go from the start. in the air, it smells identical to the og, but as you sniff it close up, it gets different. it reminds me of an arabic coffee (gahva) with cardamom which has gone cold. thats exactly what this smells like up close, to me. it isnt too strong either. do not expect al haramain amber oud tobacco edition strong. that thing is in a different stratosphere in terms of performance. i get like 5 to 6 hours on skin, and lasts 7 to 8 hours on my clothes. not the strongest thing in the world but for the price i cannot complain at all. its a great scent and i would recommend it to anyone who loves the og. it does the job pretty well for such a cheap price.

I wore this recently and disagree with the comment about it being like Djarum Cherry cigarillos. This is, in every way, far, far more like the Djarum Vanilla cigarettes. There's no cherry here and the prune/dried fruits is no where close to being cherry like. The Djarum cherry cigarillos and cigarettes both used the same flavouring (admittedly tho it's been nearly 15 years since I last smoked either) and it was a sweet and juicy, fantasy red cherry to smoke, with a sweet and slightly sour cherry on the lips from the flavoured paper. And there is none of that in this scent. Then again I also get no cherry note in Tonka Cola, despite many people reporting it strongly. So idk, maybe I'm just naturally nose blind to the cherry chemical used in perfume these days?

Charuto T.V. finds the middle ground between Ford T.V. and Amber Oud T.E., a little spicier, little more synthetic but still an outstanding bargain and the closest dupe. I love all 3, but dont feel TF is 10x better to justify the cost even with its better longevity and smother more realistic notes. This one is consistently sold out for a reason! On a side note: Fragrantica if you want people to leave these reviews how about you put the ads in the background, like they are in the already posted ones? Or maybe not the constant assault? Takes 3x longer to do this because of stupid pop ups! Could be part of reason behind growing amount of gatekeeping & fake reviews?😡

Wow. This was a surprise. Blind bought for 11€. I saw all these reviews and tought why not. I may be in this alone, but for the people who havent had a tobacco fragrance, it doesnt smell like cigarretes or cigars. Not many people know this one, but to me it smells like christmas punch with a little whiskey and an apple-cinnamon pie. I tought it would be very bitter and dark. But its christmasy-sweet, and very sexy. I dont reccomend blind buying tho. I can smell a little sourness which maybe not pleasent to some people. Im still in shock, but i love it. 9/10.

Just got this and so far I am loving it..Top notes are intoxicating..(Tobacco leaf, Spices.) I can`t tell what the spices are, but in a while tobacco comes forward..The middle notes are Tonka bean, tobacco flower, vanilla and cocoa. So I am expecting it to get even better..Recently I have felt drawn to fragrances with tonka bean and this one is just yammy..I have always liked the smell of pipe tobacco, so that being prominent in this fragrance is not a problem to me. This is not for everybody, but for me it was a good blind buy.

Charuto Tobacco Vanille What a quality of a fragrance..for what you're paying it's absurd! I've never had Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford and therefore cannot compare the two. I get alot of Vanilla and Honey with tobacco..bear in mind the Vanilla is extremely potent and creamy, but it's backed up with this sticky honey sweetness, nonetheless i'ts a wonderful scent with beast mode performance. Scent: 9/10 Sillage: 9:10 Longevity: 10/10 One hell of scent! 🧊❄️

There are plenty of clones of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, which is an incredible fragrance. What a creation. Charuto Tobacco is one of the best clones I've smelled. I would rank it above Tobacco Touch and Warm Black, to name a few. Of course the quality is not the same as Tom Ford. But overall, including the scent and performance, it's among the best clones out there. Especially if you get this for $20 or less like I did. I'd say it's worth up to $30.

Wow! I have 400 perfumes and not afraid to spend money if I have to, however TF TV which I love has such relative poor performance for the price I could never feel good about parting the money. I heard about this and found a local importer. Wow! Amazing, absolute killer - don’t take any negative reviews to heart - they are misleading you. One of the rare definitive occasions where the cheap dupe is significantly better than the original.

This is a steal for the price point , yes same scent profile as TF TV and Amber Oud Tobacco AH but juice is not as rich as the other two. Both mentioned out class this in density and performance Like I said for the price point this is fantastic 👍 Update I got this for my brother months ago and he wore it recently. The sillage is fantastic, we were at a family party and whenever he walked by I could catch whiffs of it and it was lovely 👌

it's should be Called Charuto Tobacco, The Tobacco notes are soo Strong espacially at the the first spray you'll feel the tobacco and the Whiskey Notes first after couple of minutes the Vanilla note will appear and get mixed with the Tobacco you'll then get the Greatest Tobacco Vanille Parfum on the Planet, 9.5/10 recommend it for those who can buy TF (i tried it before and it was good but Charuto is slightly better)

More similar to the OG than Al Haramain one, I would say charuto is 88% similar to TF TV. I mean it’s VERY similar, I get the clove first minute after spraying but then it fades away very fast and you are left with just tobacco Vanille, I am obsessed, no need to buy Tom ford like actually. Al haramain is just this damn clove and spices , much less vanilla than in charuto. Just buy charuto fr

My favorite Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille dupe. The scent profile is 95% identical in the opening. As this scent dries down completely to a skin scent, it has its own twist. Definitely a very playful fragrance to have in your collection. I always get compliments with this fragrance. A real bad bwoy fragrance, big ups to Paris Corner's Pendora scent house for this fragrance.

As with everything else, spray it a few times, let it sit and you'll see the magic in this. Its very very close to TFTV but not as round or refined, but, it's got it's own signature and character that you can't go wrong with. I own both and I can honestly say this is close enough, but stands on its own with ease. For the money its more than worth it , a no brainer.

I'm very happy with this as an alternative to Tobacco Vanille! All the other dupes and alternatives I've tried before have let me down. This, so far, is the best! It's still not 1:1, but it smells soooo good!!! I'm actually rather surprised that all the other TF Private Blends are so easily copied, and yet Tobacco Vanille is just so hard to replicate!

Strong tobacco and dried fruits Tad bit of vanilla, which then is then made more apparent after 1h Compared to tobacco vanille it has more tobacco and spices, and less vanilla 10h longevity on my arm 9/10 This is just from the first day after unboxing, I’ll update my review if it changes after a month

This is my first fragrance as a collector. It’s a fantastic dupe of TF Tobacco Vannile. It’s sweeter and a bit more loud than TF. Less ginger than the OG. I will always love this and have in my collection. I say 85% similar to the OG. 8.5 out of ten. Long lasting but not beast mode. Worth the money.

The opening clove scent is very strong. Dies down into a much calmer scent. I daily use it and have had compliments. I don't have a ton of experience with TF TV but this does smell familiar but the vanilla aspect is weak. Longevity for me 3-6h but projection is skin scent after like 2h

Have you ever smelled swisher sweets cigars? This is that. I absolutely adore this perfume, gorgeous sweet tobacco, totally unisex. I layer this with vanilla 28 for added smokiness. Absolutely love, mine has a huge dent, major compliment getter

Not bad for the price, if you love sweet vanilla fragrances, surely you'll enjoy this one. Keep applying it and give it time, it will get better after few weeks. I would say this one is good for indoors because of the performance and sillage.

It smells like waxy honied tobacco with a hint of vanilla, cocoa, and cinnamon. I haven’t tried TFTV yet, but this is like a mature version of Spicebomb Extreme, less sweet, more tobacco, and honey instead of whiskey. Solid 7.75/10

I have two tobacco vanille clones. This and tobacco touch by alhambra. I prefer this one a bit more but the tobacco touch is about 10 bucks cheaper. Touch is smoother and more vanilla and this is more tobacco. 9.5/10

Great tobacco + vanilla combination. Smooth on the dry down, very pleasant. I am surprised it took this long for Charuti Tobacco Vanille to be on Fragrantica though...? 9/10 for me... get it, you won't regret it.

I bought this because the Tom Ford one smelled on me very liniar. Pur honey and nothing more. This smells like tabacco, spices, honey. It is a gorgeous perfum and I am tempted by the Mysterious Tabacco one.

I think recently Fragrantica show fragrance note too simple and incomplete, like they don't care to give right information anymore. This Charuto tobacco vanille must have dried fruit note and spicy note.

I have had this for one day, and with one spray on my fist, it has the whole room smelling spicy and LOUD. Whoever is saying you need to overspray this is INSANE. It's beast mode right out of the box!

This is a very sweet tobacco vanilla scent, beautifully done the opening is kinda synthetic but somehow it's a nice synthetic that one can overlook, because after the opening its just darn good

After one month of maceration, this shit is killing it. So good!!! I advice everybody to let it sit for 1 month and you will see the magic. Vanilla is crazy good here, better than CBM

Tobacco only exists in the opening. Dry down, you get Vanilla extract, chocolate, with slight warm spiciness. Smells sophisticated and yummy. Performance is insane. A no-brainer buy!

Just picked this up a few days ago and I must admit, I am ADDICTED. It's the only fragrance I've bothered putting on. Spicy and sweet, lasts forever, and projects well. 10/10.

Good ish right here. She started out kinda light but has built up sillage. This is an easy, enjoyable and agreeable scent. Vanilla lovers, get you one of these!

They got so close to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. If you are looking for something like that but cheaper I would easily recommend this.

Loved it BUT has a strong tobacco opening which smells like a cough syrup. Once the fragrance macerates, the vanilla come out.
