my favourite perfume all the time, im a man and live in madrid, tried this in every season, but in summer is when its best performance comes out, this smells of old money on me, its very intimate its for those close to you, if you are a guy that is fashionable and attractive its perfect for you, youll smell like and expensive lacoste kintted sweater, like a country club kid that goes golfing on the weekend with vanilla caramel and tobacco, here in spain or countries like venezuela where you greet people with a kiss on the cheek, you will definitely cause a reaction, once a girl smells it on you she will want to sniff you out whenever she can, cons it needs to be reaplied maybe take it with you if you want to smell like this all day, youll find smelling yourself in the spot where you sprayed every 10 minutes throughout the day, definitely unisex, dont be afraid to overspray this is not invasive at all you will not bother anyone, as if this fragrance could bother anyone, but that said if you have the means spray as much as you want, this perfume excudes confidence, serenity and maturity, also nobody else will smell as good as you, unless you work in wall street and everyone in the office floors is wearing super strong blue fragrances, UPDATE: my sister wants to steal my bottle, she wore it to a couple of dates and says guys wouldnt get away from her neck, they couldnt stop going for a sniff, i guess thats why they made it some kind of a skin scent, so you could see the people getting closer to you to smell you, once they catch a whiff they cant get enough, best scent ive ever smelled in my 21 years, definitely a perfume for yourself or your partner to smell on each other, not something that a room will notice on you, they need to hug you, trust me use this only at times when you know you will have physical contact with the other person, you will have them hooked, can attest from my experience aswell, ive been told i smell divine when i wear this

I have had this perfume for about 4 years, and never thought to write a review. But as I'm coming to the end of my bottle, I feel I need to write it a love letter. This is one of my favourite scents, if not my all time one and only. I'm far too fickle to have a signature scent, but if I were to choose one, it would be this one. Though, as someone who prefers to stay at home in joggers, I could never do it justice. This perfume is a warm hug in a bottle. Specifically, it smells like a perfume you would smell while recieving a hug from a rich aunt, whose come to visit after months of travelling. She's a bit quirky, she's elegant, she's does whatever she wants because she can, and she's probably wearing a cashmere jumper worth an entire month's rent (as someone who knits, I would happily infuse this into all my handmade jumpers). It's sweet and spicy. Despite being caramel and vanilla, it doesn't lean too gourmand. You're not walking around smelling like a chai latte. It is an intimate scent, it's not a powerhouse you wear to get people to smell you before they see you. My husband loves it, but he has to be close to smell it. I can't really speak for longevity because I go noseblind very quickly, especially with this scent. One night I had thought it had worn off, only to get a comment from a friend, so it was clearly still there. That being said, it is disappointing to have a perfume so expensive that you need to reapply regularly to enjoy. I will be heartbroken when this finally runs out. I have an ever growing list of other full bottles I want to buy, and I just don't know if I can justify buying another. But I think I will always have a travel size to hand.

A stunning grown-up caramel gourmand dream! It actually smells so well-blended that the notes are hard to single out when you don't look at the list, it just smells so warm, spicy and beautiful. But when you read the notes it all makes sense: An ultra creamy, milky salt caramel note with absolutely no hints of the burnt, crunchy tones other caramels have, with cashmeran blended in to amp the creaminess further up. Vanilla adds even more coziness, but it doesn't turn cloying. The spicy notes of cardamom and pimento are a great choice. The cardamom is dry and warm and smells just like it does in Swedish pastries, while the pimento is really hot and spicy, especially in the opening. A little bit like a ginger note, but even more fiery. It's uncommon to get this sensation from perfumes and I love it. I don't really smell tobacco here though, instead I get some booziness in the opening and a slight woodsy vibe behind the spiced gourmand goodness. To me this is strictly a fall/winter scent. It's warming, cozy and sexy, feminine and sweet without being overly girly. Admittedly I ignored Penhaligons for a long time because the traditional "old English" image is a little bland to me, I just never found it appealing. If you think like this, please go out and try Constance (or whatever sounds good to you from the Portraits collection), they're not boring at all and very well-made.

AAAAh, another classic always in my collection since years. Elegant , bold, aromatic, gourmand with a strong character. This fragrance is luxury in a bottle, screams "old money". It's seductive, timeless, unisex and classic. She's spicy ! That pepper and tobacco do not play they around, they don't hide. Sillage is actually pretty strong, on clothes it lasts forever and ever until your next wash. Best believe if you own this bottle the moment you touch it and pick it up to get ready for your day or evening, you absorb it's power and relentlessness. You can definitely understand why even the animal chosen for the bottle has horns... the fragrance is determined, square, yet full of layers, but she knows where's she's going from the very first instant. It's Thor's hammer, you must be worthy. It's heavy and light at the same time, it can give you immeasurable strength, but to carry it with lightness, you must be magic yourself. A powerful tool, the key weapon of every thunder god in the everyday life. A divine instrument to provide blessings and cast a spell on others around you. Do not over-use. As a movie it would be the Gladiator but in modern era, or a contemporary Iliad or Song of Achilles. A woman who wears this can literally hold the world on her shoulders, Xena the warrior princess style. A man who wears this has any woman at his feet.

I was blown over by the opening of this scent which was pure cardamom. I would have been happy for it to stay there, but it quickly turned into warm vanilla and apple pie with the cardamom notes starting to disappear. Soon, it started reminding me of La Vie Est Belle. However, it's softer and less cloying and replaces sweet tobacco notes for LVEB's patchouli, so it's not going to make you sick of it by the end of the day. Unfortunately, it doesn't last a long time. When a perfume costs over $300 per bottle, you don't want it to fade into the background so quickly. Edit: So, now I understand why it's called Changing Constance. I tried this again on a cold, rainy day, and the cardamom note stays much longer, and it doesn't remind me of LVEB at all. It starts off mainly as a warm, cozy cardamom cookie gourmand. Oddly, at about the hour mark, the scent bubble around me smells more like Light Blue, and when I get closer to sniff it on my wrist, my wrists just smell sweet, but it has almost completely evaporated. I don't understand the shift between smelling like a warm and toasty gourmand and a summertime airy fragrance.

The best spicy caramel. It’s warm, slightly salty, perfectly spicy from the pimento and cardamom (do not attack the nostril nor make the scent dry). A gourmand that is not sickening or juvenile. Deliciously put together. So well blended and perfectly rounded. Sadly the performance is quite underwhelming projection-wise. Longevity is very acceptable on warm clothings, I sprayed 3 times and I can still smell it 24+ hours later. Now the projection however is very intimate and quiet most of the time. It’s not undetectable, even 7 hours post application, I catch adequate whiffs now and then (when being at home). I just wish it was more consistently noticeable given the price. I think this is a good cozy up, snuggle up, stay at home, comforting fragrance — if you can afford it. It’s not a beast or attention grabbing one, but for what it is, I’m in love because it smells so good to me! I find Prada Candy quite similar although a bit more powdery. Check it out if you’re interested: it’s cheaper and has better performance (it’s not a beast either but the projection is better).

Lattafa does a very high quality twist of this DNA(Armani Magenta Tanzanite, Navitus Raised Spirits, FDB Minuit Et Demi, Penhaligon Changing Constance). It's called Niche Emarati Mughal Fort(It's not on this site yet, but since 'Niche Emarati Khalid' is now on the database, Mughal Fort isn't far behind.). The performance is astronomical. Burnt caramel goodness! The dry down smells like a warm blanket of wool, while in a room filled with clean woods. Leans slightly feminine to me, but it's still pretty much unisex. DO NOT spray more than 3 sprays of Lattafa Niche Emarati Mughal Fort!!!!!!!! Mughal Fort Notes: TOP NOTES: Cardamom, Pimento; MID NOTES: Cedar, Caramel; BASE NOTES: Vanilla, Musk, Amber. Edit: Sadly, my bottle broke recently—it fell with its head/atomizer—but I managed to savage at least 65ml. I had to temporarily leave my room for 1 week after I couldn't sleep the first 2 nights I tried, due to how brutal my room smelled of caramel. Jeez! The smell lasted 2 months+ because the juice got to the curtain and some chairs. Holy!!! Mughal Fort is a beast!!!!!

GAH DAMNNNN. This just has to be the nicest smelling fragrance I have ever laid my nose upon. I originally smelt this in Macau on holidays as this fragrance appears as king of discontinued in Australia. My first impressions of this fragrance were this extremely sweet yet comforting Caramel and Salt mixture. Notice how I didn't say "Salted Caramel". That's because this fragrance combines and somehow separates the two ingredients. Fast Forward like 11 months I bought this alongside Nishane Ani to fulfill my Winter Fragrances before the start of the season. I first sprayed this upon my skin and my gosh my opinion on this fragrance has changed. A warm Pimento opening to what I can only perceive to be the aroma of a Cinnamon Donut. All though the performance is lackluster, I entirely believe that the smell makes up for it. The whiffs I get from the Cinnamon Donut smell is amazing. I also didnt mention that I'm a guy and to be honest I believe that this fragrance is totally unisex. Smell: 10/10 Performance: 6/10 Longevity: 6.5/10 Love for this fragrance: 100/10

I love this perfume. When I wear Changing Constance, I imagine myself in a charming, rustic cabin, snow gently falling outside. I’m curled up by a crackling fireplace, the warmth of the flames wrapping around me like a soft embrace. In my hands is a steaming mug of spiced caramel latte, its sweetness mingling with a pinch of salt, each sip as indulgent as the scent on my skin. The air around me is filled with the creamy comfort of vanilla and the smoky allure of tobacco, adding an irresistible depth to the moment. It feels like a secret escape—a quiet evening where time slows and every detail is rich with warmth and indulgence. Every time I wear it, I receive the loveliest compliments. When people walk into my office, they pause and say, “What is that divine scent?” Changing Constance has a way of leaving an unforgettable impression—a cozy, gourmand embrace that others can’t help but notice. Though it doesn’t last long, I don’t mind. I love the pleasure of reapplying, reliving this cozy fantasy, and basking in the compliments it brings.

I just wanted to offer my opinion that this fragrance is completely unisex. I am an adult man. I have a large fragrance collection. About 1% are fragrances marketed toward women, meaning I don't prefer or have a lot of fragrances marketed toward women. I say that only to make it clear that this fragrance can be enjoyed by anyone. Don't hesitate to buy a sample or even a bottle if it sounds good to you. It smells fantastic. A slightly spicy, sharp almost metallic tone with strong notes of cardamom, caramel, salt, tobacco and vanilla. The only criticism I have, as do most, is that longevity is below average ... not horrible, but definitely not good. Even though Changing Constance does not have a listed sandalwood note, I definitely pick up sandalwood. If Constance's below average longevity is a deal-breaker for you, consider one of my favorite sandalwood fragrances, Sana Jardin's Sandalwood Temple. It has a similar scent profile to Changing Constance, better projection and longevity, and a slightly better price tag.

I loved with this scent the minute we met at Harrod's in Heathrow. As several of my fragrance love-affairs, this one started as a test spray before a flight. The spicy top note lingered through airport security and the sweet middle note made me smile at the gate. For my entire flight to Singapore, the vanilla spicy base note stayed with me during the dry down. The vanilla is light and not artificial smelling. The cardamom is almost peppery, if that makes sense. I have come to realize that the Portraits series perfumes have low silage and they are very personal. One could easily mistake that they have poor longevity but it is a very close fragrance that doesn't announce itself to everyone around you... which I really respect about it. If you want something that smells rich with a symphony of notes but don't need everyone around you to know about it - this one is perfect as it is for the person wearing and only shared with others when you get close enough to whisper in their ear or go in for a cuddle.

This is a caramel and vanilla perfume at a different level! It’s absolutely gorgeous and in the same vein with Magenta Tanzanite by Armani, which I bought recently, but more sweet and I’d say more feminine. Super delectable, warm, spicy, creamy, tobacco based gourmand! I have purchased a couple of weeks ago a discovery set for Penhaligons, The Portraits Scent Library and I was curious about Changing Constance, since it’s supposed to be similar to Armani’s MT. It is but I think I could have both in my collection... It’s not the most intense fragrance or very diffusive in the air, but it seems to hold onto the skin for about six hours before fading to nothing more than a delicious skin scent! Magenta Tanzanite is stronger and more radiant, but Changing Constance is sweeter and cozier. I don’t know when, but whenever I can get a decent deal on this, I will purchase a bottle! I think I prefer it over Armani, which is a bummer, cause it’s an expensive scent...

WHY OH WHY is this so spectacular and such a let down at the same time??? I really wonder what the design brief was when Penhaligon’s decided to release this the way it is. On one hand this is one of the best caramel based, grown up gourmand fragrances I’ve ever gotten my nose on. On the other hand, no amount of sprays can amplify its TERRIBLE performance. It lasts almost as long as a fart. 40 sprays deep, with a top up 30 minutes later, and I still really have to concentrate to find the scent on my skin and clothes. I managed to score this second hand at less than half the retail price. And I am still going to on-sell it because it is such a pointless bottle of juice. Even wearing it to bed is not bringing me any joy after the first 5 minutes. EDIT - I blind bought Navitus Raised Spirits and my itch for this fragrance has now been satisfied!!! Do yourself a favour and find a sample.

An absolutely beautiful fragrance. Delicious cardamom which is my favourite spice note in perfumes, blended with the most gooey salted caramel. The salt isn't sharp here but just enough to add that special yumminess to the fragrance. This concoction lasts for a good 6 hours after which the vanilla starts peeking through. The drydown has that sweet vanilla but the cardamom is there too, albeit extremely light. I walk around in this yummy bubble of gourmand goodness- a little sweet, a little savory. Its divine. It smells special, warm and comforting. All weather perfume. It's beautiful even for cool summer nights. Not cloying at all. Its compared to Prada Candy but that's a straight up sweet perfume. It doesn't have the complexities of Changing Constance. It does not smell like Kilian Princess. Its unique, its happiness in a bottle and it's a big love for me ❤️

I bought it today and I already have so much to say. To begin with, to me the most accurate and spot on description of this perfume is that it’s the baby of Hypnotic poison EDT by Dior and Jazz club by Replica. If you wish Jazz club was more famine, definitely get this one. I wore it today for the first time and my boyfriend LOVED it. But wait, he was sick and wearing a face mask the whole time and the first thing he commented on was my perfume. He got so obsessed with it. He kept talking about it the entire night which he never does. This perfume had him under a spell. I’ll update my review when I get more wear out of it, but so far, I’m so in love with it. It’s so perfect. (Performance might not be great but I’m still testing that). Also, if you like the tobacco in this one but you want something more day-time, I recommend you try out Ma’Alaina by Nabeel.

I think I have just discovered my favourite caramel scent. It’s so unique, different type of caramel that I am used to smell in perfume! I attribute this uniqueness to the pimento note, because caramel mixed with cardamom, vanilla, cashmeran and tobacco is frequently used and I am sure I have got a few fragrances like that. I also have fragrances with vanilla and salt combined so don’t think it’s that either. Either way, this smells so delicious, gourmand and addictive that I can’t wait to get it to my collection. It’s not performing well and it’s super pricey, so I have to wait for a good deal. But I have to have Changing Constance. I have two decants of Minuit et Demi and these two scents are indeed similar.

I love this fragrance so much. It's sweet, caramel, a little spicy and I get vanilla. Everything I like, but...it just doesn't last very long. I bought a sample of the fragrance before a full bottle and this seemed to last on my skin much better, I don't know why though. I bought a full bottle because I love it so much but I'm going to save it for intimate moments when there is nose to skin contact because it really is a beautiful fragrance, and if I can't smell it then hopefully who I'm with will appreciate it! For a bigger hitting perfume I'll wear By The Fireplace. It's much more smoky at the start than Changing Constance but it develops to a similar base, just more lasting and projecting.

Wealth, luxury, power, money. This is how it smells like Like a bugatti drive in dubai or london The cardamom note gives it oriental vibes like the Saudi coffee if you ever tried it, and that’s what gives it money vibes, just like khaleji weddings and gatherings very royal. The caramel, vanilla and tobacco blended with cardamom is a work of art! I’ve never smelled something like this, it’s so unique and luxurious. The bottle design is absolutely relatable, it pictures a deer’s head up-posture resembling that ego and confidence. The only issue is the low projection and performance, for someone who enjoys scents as a self pleasure that’s not a big problem if you’re like me, go for it.

Compared to Minuit et Demi and Magenta Tanzanite, this is much sweeter, yummier, and has worse longevity. It is caramel forward and a sweet spicy fragrance without smelling juvenile. I’m not picky about longevity so I picked this one above the others for myself. But I do have to carry a travel spray to reapply during the day because it fades to a skin scent fast. It’s arguably not worth the money but I’m obsessed with the smell. All three fragrances are distinct but in my opinion close enough you only need one in a collection. This is the choice if you like something sweeter and more feminine and seriously don’t care about longevity.

Wow love at first sniff! I thought the opening was going to be a punch in the face with the cardamom and pepper but not at all! It was quite a mild cardamom and pepper. Then the salt caramel quickly comes thru and it dries down to a sweet vanilla smoothed out by the cashmeran. I can see why some say it is similar to Kilian Princess but I see maybe 10% similarity in that they are sweet. Princess is marshmallow-y green tea and a lighter, airier sweetness while this is a caramel heavy sweetness more suitable for fall/winter cold weather. And I must say I love the packaging. One of my favorite bottles in my collection!
