Empressa Hair & Body Mist

A sweet fruity citrus fragrance, this lasts a long time on my hair. Lovely and refreshing, quite summery. My boyfriend loves this on me. It’s just a like for me though. Edit: I’m not sure about the fresh spicy dry down in my hair, it gives the feeling of having been cooking with spices and not washed my hair, then sprayed something citrusy and fruity over it. I’d say this is better as a perfume than specifically for hair. Sometimes I get a waft of the beautiful soft fruity citrus. Other times the fresh spices. Still like it though.

I received Empressa hair and body mist as a free gift for Penhaligon's march event. It's consistency is much different- as expected- from its perfume counterparts; it's a very oily spray that sometimes squirts instead of spraying. I really recommend only using this as a hair mist- on skin, I could barely smell any of the fruity scents and the spice scents come across- patchouli and cardamom being big players here. It might be the formula since I do have a sample of the EDP Empressa- it smells more peachy on skin, unlike the body mist. On hair? The mist transforms into a very pleasing peach scent- it's not a bright, fresh peach but more of an oven-baked peach with a balanced, spiced sweetness (not cinnamon, but cardamom, amber, and slight vanilla). It's a mild, pleasant scent that sits in the background. I do agree that it can give off a feeling of cooking with spices. I think the peach notes are, at least, stronger than the spice notes.
