Addictive Indulgence for Him

If this fragrance had been released 6-7 years earlier, the online fragrance community would be singing it’s praises as one of the great rack store cheapie gems. Alas, those days are long gone, with the middle eastern fragrance houses/clones getting in everybody's pockets. Plus, it doesn't help now that rack stores have really fallen off when it comes to stocking much of anything worth searching for. That leads me to the fun fact that I did find this great little 1.7oz bottle at Burlington for a mere $14.00! It was a nice return to that old nostalgic feeling when I would take a small gamble on something like this, bring it home, and feel immediately pleased with my first initial sprays! It reminded me of the fun we all used to have when we first got into collecting/trading/swapping fragrances before the online influencer culture shilled it to death and accelerated buying the next new thing mentality/addiction. But enough with the nostalgia talk, back to the actual review lol! For the price you can't go wrong. I would describe this as a lighter and slightly gourmand leaning hybrid of Carolina Herrera BB Extreme mixed with JPG Le Male Elixir. While this displays a powdery coco backbone through the life of the scent, I pick up some of the familiar sweetness from Le Male Elixir. However, despite the olfactory similarities to those two fragrances, this scent delivers the profile in a more subdued manner. This will not project super loud and fill rooms like BB Extreme or Le Male Elixir. I would describe this as a more "work friendly" combined version of the two. I would also consider this more of a fall and winter fragrance that you can wear for either work, or daytime casual uses. If you have a smaller collection and limited budget, this could also pass as an evening going out scent. The only thing to keep in mind is that this won't project if you are hoping to create a more noticeable effect as an evening out on the town fragrance. But that's not to say the performance is lacking. I have gotten no less than 8 hours worth of noticeable wear with this fragrance. I'd say the projection reaches out to about an arm's length for the first 3-4 hours, but you will still catch a whiff of it as you progress towards the last 4 hours, so you know it's still there and noticeable. So, for $14.00, it's honestly really hard to complain about that type of performance. You can really do much worse at this price point. If this stays in production for many years to come, it could easily become a cheapie mount Rushmore candidate with the likes of CK One Shock, Nautica Voyage, BB Touch, Azzaro Chrome, etc.

Yes, I love this. Every note is detectable as listed. Love the drydown, a bit heavy with the leather though.. Quite literally smells like the colour brown. It's really airy and it has a gourmand cupcake smell. If you don't want to risk with arab perfumes, you should get this asap. Personally would wear this for colder summer days, makes me feel amazing

Accidentally bought the men's version instead of femme but let me tell yah what a happy accident. Such a cozy, sweet vanillic hot cocoa with a nutty nuance. This will be an amazing fall winter staple with a moderate longevity to boot. Love.

Armani's Stronger with you and CH Bad Boy blend that is affordable, comes in a great, collectible presentation and performs the way it should. The Pepe Jeans men's shaker line has delivered nothing but consistent wins for me, paid 20-25€ the 100ml for these and I keep buying them blind and getting very interesting perfumes that are appealing and perform well beyond their class and with none of the arab-clone cheap funk fillers.

Enticing, fun, sophisticated, this smells like swy leather mixed with asad bourbon. It’s sweet, leathery, resinous, and has a lovely cacao note, it has a lot to like, including price, got the 1.7 for 12 bucks, there’s not a lot you can buy for that price thats this good.

#1667 in my “Tour de Fragrance” My first Pepe Jeans and might well be my only. This has a better rating than I would have expected. It’s a cheap, very mediocre performer. Chestnut and cocoa is an uncommon mixture of notes. I have a few nutty fragrances like JPG “Scandal”, all the Armani “SWY” fragrances and a half dozen SWY clones like Rayhaan “Corium.” But no cocoa in those scents. The only thing I can think of that has this chestnut and cocoa combination, the only one I’ve smelled anyway, is a scent I bought for a girlfriend who wanted it, Bond No 9 “New Bond Street”, which she likes but I really don’t smell why. This is having the similar effect on me in that it’s not repellant but not attractive either. I would say if this is your price point, buy an SWY clone or a “Scandal” clone instead. This doesn’t project and no one would know what they’re smelling if it did. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

The top is almost instantly overpowered by the powerful vanilla and cacao. After a few minutes, the woodiness, leather and chestnut start showing through. It's still fairly linear though. A polite gourmand. I hoped for a little more masculinity from it, but there's a cheapish amber note being synthesized in the way the notes play together that isn't really my favorite thing. It gives a JPG vibe that is part of why I'm typically weary of gourmands. I don't dislike it. Just hoped for something a little more interesting. Update: after intentionally over spraying by quite a bit, to see if I could get more out of it, the cacao finally busted through the haze. Specifically hot cocoa. Which is kinda nice.

This reminds me of something, but for the life of me, I cannot place it. Asad Bourbon by Lattafa came to mind, the cacao is similar, but Asad B is much more aromatic - I'm also comparing the drydown of Addictive Indulgence to the opening of Asad Bourbon, but the lavender is definitely the differentiator here. There is, however, a familiarity between the two, but I'm leaning towards Armani's SWY as a more similar sibling. Anyway, this is a pleasant, well-made sweet cacao vanilla chestnut scent. MIght be the best from Pepe Jeans so far. Edit: I can see Khamrah as being the closest association, good job.

Compared to the previous version of Addictive, this one is more gourmand. The previous one was also sweet, but this one makes you want to eat it. This one is softer and more delicate. It's unisex. It now has wild berries and cocoa—those are the main differences. It's just as strong in terms of scent duration, but not as strong for those around you. It's quieter. The overall quality is surprising for the price. It won't disappoint if you like Akro Awake. It's also more youthful than the previous one.

I wasn't expecting that ,but it's good. I'm only familiar with the "shaker" flankers from Pepe Jeans but price wise there is nothing else you can ask for. Addictive Indulgence is terrible name to pronounce if you're not native speaker but you can go with "the chocolate shaker". Scandal/Bad boy/ SWY alternative for good price and on my skin it stays as long as Dior Elixir -12h , not projecting like crazy but staying power is very good. *Women's version with the martini glass was NO for me.

First PJ that I deside to add in my collection, on me, vanilla, chestnut and cocoa are dominate. Wish leather notes are litlle bit stronger, it have nice combination of sweetnes and woody notes.. Longevity is quite good, after 6h its still on my skin, projection on moderate side.. Love this one..
