Pepe Jeans for Him

Best Cheapie out there. Bought a 100ml tester bottle for 20€ and it’s the best for the price. Smells like a much more sweeter take on Versace Eros without the intense opening. The main notes are vanilla, Coffee and pineapple which very dominate in this fragrance. Very nice and versatile long lasting for EDT. I owned this bottle for about 6-8 months already and I get a solid 8-10 hours of performance and then after becoming a skin scent for another 4-6+ hours. Even after coming out of the shower I can still smell it. If you are on a budget I recommend buying this for the price. Absolutely love this cheapie! That pineapple is such a good time man...To me, this is a spring/summer scent all the way! The sweetness here is light and juicy, the lavender is fresh and joyful. Has a somewhat tropical, poolside vibe. Casual sunny day or party night, this fits the bill. Granted, it's on the synthetic side, but it's far from being obnoxious. Youthful without being silly. My only gripe is the duration. 4-5 hours but projects very nicely for about 1 hour. Honestly, this is so cheap though that i can't really complain about it considering everything else. Bottle looks cool too so if you hate the scent, at least looks cool on your shelf

I feel this EDT is like a mix between Le Male and Eros, with a very strong hint of citrus and pineapple in it's output. I adore it, so I give it an 8.5/10 scent-wise. Performance is weak. The first time I used it, it stayed as a skin scent from about the second hour. The second time, I tried applying some moisturizing cream first to see if it would enhance it, but didn't improve it at all. Third time, I did that AND also sprayed the scent in my clothes. Nothing. Such a shame since it's a delicious scent.

Pineapple and coffee? Let's blind buy! Result is pretty sweet and balanced. I can't pick out the pineapple but there's definitely a good balance between fruit, coffee and Vanilla. It's better blended than Halloween X while being less sweet than Uomo by Ferragamo. Performance wise, this cannot compete though. More in line with the polo red series in that regard. I really like it for an everyday wear and can't wait to try Celebrate from Pepe as well.

soon as i sprayed this on. i did a double take to see if i accidentally grabbed JPG Le Beau by mistake. not exact but its pretty dang close, and overall a really nice smelling fragrance. which makes it a great value at the 20 bucks i paid in comparison to JPG prices. was pleasantly surprised at how much i like it. awesome Spring, Summer, early Fall easy reach fresh fragrance. can't believe i'm sayin this but it's a solid 8/10 for me.

finally a nice juice from the inside of a fantastically crafted bottle.....very loud and strong at initial spraying...Loads of vanilla, fruity, mild amount of leather coffee and suede in the backround and it is quite scrumptious...its def a tribute to the modern sweetness and heaviness of many current fragrances...glad i own it now!! and IL give the scent 8.3/10.....strength 7.2 ...... Ciao

This was a blind buy, but like almost anything containing vanilla, it's a safe bet. Very aromatic and sweet. Strong as well, which surprised me as usually modern scents are watered down and weak however this stays on clothing even after being washed. I'd wear this to casual family/friend occasions. The bottle is a very nice design as well.

Nice sweet, lavender powdery scent, opens with a creamy fruity citrus. Doesn't really project a lot and lasts for maybe an hour before it sits closer and becomes a skin scent. At this price it's not a problem to regularly reapply. I can't really smell any coffee in this which is a shame. If your a fan of sweet scents this is for you.

Really like it's inherent similarity to Eros DNA. But the added juiciness from pineapple and warmth from that coffee accord is delicious and gives that freshness some alluring seductive character :-) Price/quality ratio pretty nice. Longevity not so amazing but it's affordable so you can just respray :-P

I’ve been considering selling my bottle of Armani Stronger With You for a couple of months now, but I hadn’t found a suitable replacement for it so I’ve been holding on to it. Pepe Jeans for Him has eliminated my dillema entirely. Disregard its note pyramid—the listed notes are hardly there, save for maybe lavender, which is fairly abundant in the composition. But what Pepe Jeans really smells like, aside from Stronger With You, is a sweet, powdery-fresh, modern men’s tonka fragrance. It begins with fresh top notes—no pineapple or tangerine or identifiable fruit of any kind—just a vague, fresh/fruity sort of smell. You can interpret it for whichever fruit you please as it’s clearly not anything specific. But that’s not to say it’s bad or unpleasant, just undefined to some degree. Very quickly the top notes are met by the powdery, sweet, lavender/tonka accord. This is a smell that has been smelled many times before, just as I said when reviewing the Armani. However, just like the Armani, it’s very well done. Look, if it’s the kind of smell you hate—if you’re totally averse to all these sweet, modern men’s fragrances with heavy Tonka components and “mall” lavender—you won’t like this either. But if you enjoy that kind of thing, this one isn’t bad at all. To begin, there’s nothing “bad” about it. There’s no out of place or discordant notes, there aren’t any moments or parts of it which come off harshly chemical or irritating, and it performs very well. For a fragrance in Pepe’s price bracket, those are three major hurdles to have conquered right there. I was quite skeptical of this one at first, looking at the tacky spiky blue bottle with one eyebrow raised and recalling the brief, but horrendous Pepe Jeans fad that infiltrated certain social circles of my high school. But this one defied my lowly expectations. I’m surprised by it! And while it might not be the most original composition to hit the market, and although it could probably smell a bit teenage and obnoxious if over-applied, it’s actually a completely competent and good smelling men’s fragrance, especially when you consider its context—the low-end drug store designer variety, where fragrances often suffer from at least one major deficiency or another. Pepe Jeans projects well. Three or Four sprays should envelope and surround its subject in a substantial bubble of sweet, cloud-like tonka and fresh, aromatic synthetic lavender. Longevity is equally solid, as I find It lasts me all day, a consistent 8 to 10 hours with good projection for an impressive 6 or 7. Linear, its heart accord lasts for pretty much the entire duration and though some slight woodiness appears in the base, it’s nothing significant. Quite a bit of vanilla shows up later on, but it’s a seamless transition as it appears in natural progression with the tonka. As for coffee, good luck finding it. It might appear more as an abstract notion of a sweet coffee beverage than any actual coffee note. Theappropriate age range for this seems about 18–50, with its sweet spot probably falling between 20 and 35. (I’m not big on suggesting ages for scents, and I don’t believe people need to adhere to them, but I know that some of you wonder about that, and I think it can also be useful at times when trying to describe a scent). Jeans is a casual/sensual fragrance, well suited for general evening wear (or day) and when heading out on a date. Considering I paid $18 for a new 100ml bottle, it’s more than a fair value. Though it doesn’t break any new ground, and some of you may be all “tonka’ed out” at this point, Pepe Jeans for Him executes its theme well and provides a very good low-price option in this style and popular category of scent. Final rating: 8/10 Side note: I’m going to do a direct, side by side comparison of this and Stronger With You, as I find them strikingly similar. I believe the Armani might provide a little bit more of an uplifting, fresh quality whereas Pepe possibly has more of a tendency to become cloyingly sweet, but I’m not even sure about that. They’re both fairly sweet and each also possesses a degree of freshness. And don’t take my unproven belief as a knock against Pepe either, as I could easily be mistaken there. Both frags are similar, and both are good.

Wow...this is pretty darn nice... It's like a less powerful, more socially acceptable and wearable version of "PR - Phantom" and I guess that works fine, but I predict that this will not last all day and will require reapplication...unlike "Phantom". But given all that it does...I'm okay with that. This is sooooo much better actually! There's no "Dirt" note...which is actually the "Rhubarb"...that sour earthy note in Phantom that everyone hates. I haven't even gotten to the drydown yet with the "coffee" note and it's already pretty awesome. NEXT DAY EDIT: Okay...I was wrong...the coffee note is REALLY REAL!!! (You just have to REALLY lay on the sprays to get it to appear. I had to use like 11 sprays total just to get the coffee note to show up....see story below) I came back in the house from mowing, weeding and seeding the front lawn and washed up. Decided I wanted to put on a new frag before running with the wife to the store. So I grabbed the "For Him" shaker and sprayed myself liberally...like 8 sprays on my chest and 3 on my shirt. The beautiful pineapple scent hitting my nose and making me smile. We got in the truck, I'd rolled down the windows and drove off. I kept getting whiffs of coffee...a familiar coffee...the same coffee note in my "Authenticity Fragrances - Coffee Lush" frag. I asked her if she had put on some of my "Coffee Lush" and she said she wasn't wearing any perfume at all. Confused...I wondered where in the heck this coffee smell was coming from!? Then it hit me..."FOR HIM" HAS A COFFEE NOTE!!!! The whooooole ride I kept getting whiffs of this BEAUTIFUL roasted coffee scent wafting in and out of the juicy pineapple notes...it was AMAZING!! And not only that...on the ride back home the frag was in deep drydown phase...the most woody and foresty wood notes were just boosting off my chest!!! I kept puffing up my shirt to get whiffs of the coffee mixed with this amazing wood fragrance and it was HEAVENLY!!! EDIT: I wish that they had swapped the coffee note in "For Him" with the Cacao note in Celebrate. Both fragrances would have been completely and unbelievably awesomely perfect that way. 09SEP22 Welp...if "For Him" was the finger..."Qaed al Fursan" is the elbow. After wearing that one and experiencing Juicy Pineapple-Vanilla , "For Him" feels...and smells...like childs play. Not sure if i'll be wearing this one, may pass it on to my son. 22JUL23 Took this out to see how it's come along...two sprays on my right forearm. It's sour...almost bitter...still pickup the pineapple note and fruits too...the amberwood appears much MUCH sooner now...almost immediately, lending to an enhancement of the sourness that has developed. Strangely...now it DOES smell like "Versace - Eros" minus the mint note!!! It smells more like the EDP for Eros. However, it lacks the thick creamy vanilla of Eros EDP and the deep red-apple fruity note. I don't need a weaker shorter-lasting version of my Eros. I have the original of all 4 of them and they get the job done without fading away through the workday. This one, however, definitely stays in the "Donation Bin" category.

Well, well, well. If this isn't a nice surprise! The opening of Pepe Jeans for Him is unexpectedly aromatic and fruity; maybe the pineapple is not exactly realistic (i.e. I challenge you to describe that as pineapple...), but there is juiciness and sweetness supported by the fresh citrusy notes. All in all, the opening somehow reminds me of a suntan lotion. The aromatic side that you would expect in the mid tends to show up fairly quickly, and I think the lavender here has a certain herbal quality to it - it reminds me of the newer batches of Gucci Guilty EdT or the sharp herbal lavender opening of Fragonard Lavande. Again, I would challenge anyone to specifically smell nutmeg, but you may say the aromatic side is present in the blend. Overall, the first 5/10 minutes are not groundbreaking but certainly pleasant and project quite distinctively around you. Now, the twist comes within 15 minutes of spraying - coffee. It's not an espresso, more like freshly roasted beans made into a powder, and then sweetened by ambroxan or something similar. Touches of vanilla come through as the scent warms up with skin contact. I get whiffs constantly for 5-hour-ish, though sometimes I can get it for longer, but on average it doesn't last that long for a sweet scent; fun fact, the performance on clothes is only minimally better. For being a cheapie (from the onset: the retail price is a very good bargain to start with), I think small flaws like abrupt transition between accords and poor longevity are all forgettable. It smell great, people like it, and the bottle is simply fantastic (with a nice atomiser too). The fresh opening makes it more wearable than some other clubbing staples and I use it more casually during the cold months without chocking people around me. Batch of my 30ml bottle is 210344E, made in February 2021. Decent like for me.

Bought one four days ago and I wore it two straight days under rather daunting conditions (higher than average temperature and humidity for the season, walking outside for long hours, using public transit). In spite of this it held up pretty well to keep the smell of sweat/body odor in check. At the end of the day - some 8 hours after initial application - I could still detect the fragrance. For Him opens with a strong smell of pineapple which lingers throughout, even as it tones itself down with time in favor of the middle and base notes. If you don't like pineapple you won't like this! Being from a tropical, pineapple-growing country myself I was not immensely impressed, but I don't mind either. It's a nice sweet smell to accompany you throughout the day and Pepe Jeans have recreated it fairly successfully. A surprising bonus I found: it can mix with other fragrances! I had some whiff of Bulgari Man In Black lingering on my clothes; when combined with For Him (something I had not planned to do), that turned into an unexpectedly nice-smelling combination. This is not a perfume that will have people smelling from miles away and asking about it. Very intimate, mostly detectible by the person wearing it alone and nobody else. Probably best applied for a night out/dinner, if you're planning to use it throughout the day you might need to respray. But considering the price paid for it I am more than happy with what I got. Interestingly, all bottles of this have sold out out my local store (I got the last one available!) while many bottles of Celebrate For Him remain unsold.

I wasn’t expecting great things from this blind buy but it was a pleasant surprise. To me it’s a winter version of Versace Eros; it’s a bit darker and heavier, slightly warmer and intimate. The citrus notes are detectable in the opening which makes it seem as though it’s going to be a fresh fragrance but then it dries down in to a masculine vanilla. If you mixed Eros with some D&G The One and added some mens deodorant this is what you’d get. It’s not as smooth and well blended as those more premium fragrances, you can tell it’s a cheapie but it smells good regardless. Performance not great but you get what you pay for, it lasts on the skin for 10+ hours but it doesn’t project very well past 4 hours. Price point fantastic. The bottle design is fantastic. If you’re one of those people that thinks Eros is too expensive for what it is then I’d recommend this one. Scent: 7.5/10 Longevity: 6.5/10 Projection: 6.5/10 Versatility: 8.5/10 Price: 10/10 Overall: 7.8/10

Citrus, vanilla, pineapple and just a hint of coffee. Smells a little bit like Stronger With You but not as spicy. I think it has below average longevity and sillage but it's not awful. Overall I enjoy it and can't wait to try it in the summer. I think the pineapple will do much better on my skin if it's warmer. For now, performance isn't it's strong suit. But honestly, I really like it! So many fragrances you have to wait for it to calm down or transition but this smells quite good from the get go. And, of course, that bottle! It is a gorgeous bottle that reminds me of a vintage glass drink shaker. It's a very good looking light blue hue with a metal cap. Might just have become the nicest bottle I own. Paid $22 for it on eBay and the bottle alone is worth that. The fact that the stuff inside smells good is just icing on the cake.

Nose Note #321 On the box it says "Life is Now" so I thought that was the name, but apparently it's not. "The new fragrances from Pepe Jeans London are dedicated to youngsters - the generation Z" oh my goodness... But to all's embarrassment they may have hit the nail on the head. Because right from the start I thought - damn, this smells familiar. And of course - it's Versace Eros. It's not quite there, but it's guessable. And don't be turned away by the votes here - the performance is actually solid, above average. Very sweet, fruity. The definition of a fragrance not suitable for a serious occasion

Pretty good scent with less than average performance. I get 4 hours and it’s gone even on clothes. It was 25 bucks so that’s what you get. I can still smell my Prada black from weeks ago on my jacket. Sprayed this on sleeve of same jacket 4 hours ago and can barely even tell it’s there. Smells much like Eros with a slight sweet coffee note added. Not worth a retail purchase but good for a discount purchase. Mass pleasing and blind buy safe . Works for short occasions like dinner out or a stop at the pub !

A great fruit basket with citrus and tropical flavors of pineapple. The pineapple emerges victorious, immediately with the juste pulvérisé, and then merges completely with the blend. When dry, the evolution becomes floral, clean, lavender imposes itself wrapped in a lively note of nutmeg. When dry down, the roasted coffee grains make it reassuring, the faint vanilla welcoming and sweet, the enveloping and sensual amber. A youthful, sweet, fruity, very pleasant fragrance.

This is a fruity fragrance with sweet coffee dry down. Very similar to Polo Red, change the Cranberry to Pineapple and add more sweet to the coffee notes then you got Pepe Jeans for Him. Performance wise also very good, around 10 hours on my skin and project very well. Definitely for younger crowd in 20's or high school. Mature crowd should go for Polo Red IMO. For the price this is a BIG steal.
