Limon Cicegi Kolonyasi

I wouldn't have guessed there are woody notes here, only natural-smelling lemon and lemon blossom. (I have the Pereja--I've read that Duru's version has a bit of musk or tonka in the base, but I haven't tried that one yet.) Multi-purpose refresher for your body and your home. Use as a pick-me-up, after-bath splash, hand sanitizer, or room spray--wipe down counters, scent your clothes and linen, etc. Most appreciated in hot, sweaty weather. Simple, satisfying.

Starts out like sweet lemon-drop candy which quickly fades to lemon blossoms smoothed out with a bit of dry cedar. It's drier and less floral than Jean Nate (splash cologne). Very nice for hot and sticky weather.

A straight ahead eau de cologne here, and a very good one at that. The lemon is definitely there, but there's more to it than just lemon. This is a smooth, herbal citrus cologne with some soft floral notes, and very well blended. No strong alcohol smell either. It smells a lot like Acqua di Parma but with less staying power. On my skin the longevity is good for an EDC, about 2 or 3 hours, but I also like to splash it on, which is what you are supposed to do with this. Pour a puddle of it in your hand and run it through your hair to make it last longer. I use it as an aftershave, and I splash it on before I go to bed. This stuff is so cheap, you can keep a bottle in your office an keep applying more every couple of hours. You'll always smell good wearing this. I paid only $5 for a big 450 ml bottle. They sell it at some of the Middle Eastern grocery stores in my area.

This is a review for Duru lemon traditional Turkish kolonyasi: This is a traditional cologne used in Turkey by mostly everyone, and in fact even passed around on the buses and after dinners and such. It basically smells like pure natural lemon and lasts about an hour. It's more for refreshment and sanitization than as a proper perfume. It smells very similar to Pinaud's Citrus Musk but without the musk part. I like it but prefer the Pinaud to be quite honest due to its slightly better complexity. This is great to use as an aftershave though, and incredibly cheap. 4/5

This is a light lemon cologne for sanitizing hands, as a refresher, to wipe down surfaces, etc. I will try anything that is said to smell like lemon, since Love’s Fresh Lemon was one of my first perfume loves in the 80s. This one is not quite as fresh and natural smelling to me as Duru’s, though, and I don’t enjoy the addition of woody notes. Duru’s is a fresh, natural smelling lemon with some lemon blossom, no other notes, so I prefer that one.

Bought 800mL for around 20USD on Amazon. Intense lemon followed by a quick walk through a flower shop. Lingering lemon drop, and a hint of honey. It stays on the skin for a short time, and it is great as an aftershave splash. 80% alcohol content makes it great for cleaning as well as for hand hygiene. The two 400mL bottles are gonna be with me for a while haha

My favorite Turkish lemon cologne. Eyüp Sabri Tuncer's Çeşme Lİmonu is more natural and flowery, but i like this one because of its memoirs. :)
