Room No.

I have stayed at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood which the scent was created after - I purchased this blindly when I read up on the brand and immediately bought it from Violet Grey. This smells like the Chateau Marmont. It smells like the lobby there. There are candles burning there made for the hotel that smell vaguely of this scent combined with leathers, old woods, bar stools, musk, all together mysterious, warm-with a bit of debauchery. Think late nights locked in a hotel room sitting on the veranda, wearing 70s musk, drinking dark wine. burning a black candle and listening to Stevie Nicks while naked. It's a hard one to explain but this smells private and I love how it warms on the skin. Lasts for hours on me. Love it. I will try Canadian Tuxedo next but this one I love all by itself.

Horse saddles & diesel, yes.. Diesel, amazing trust me. With a nuttiness to it. Warming up to a hot cup of black tea, wearing a cozy cashmere sweater and burning Palo Santo for the VIBES. That settle into a leather, vanilla, milky concoction, with heavy musk. It's like staying in a cabin on the countryside of Tennessee. In the winter time. Taking the horses for a quick run, to later come back and sip on warm vanilla lattes near the fireplace. Is exactly what this smells like to me. I absolutely love it. Leans more towards being masculine but can also be feminine. I like to layer it with more vanilla. Last all day, a little goes a long way. Perfect for cold weather. BISOUS

Easily one of the most cozy and luxurious scents in my collection. Room No is a wearable London Fog complete with a soft and enveloping layer of froth. Although this perfume reminds me of the beverage, it's not a gourmand. This fragrance is classy and versatile enough to wear in any occasion. The scent is warm, rich, and comforting. Orris and cashmeran are most noticeable on my skin, but I can detect virtually every note. A very well-blended perfume. My one criticism is the OUTRAGEOUS price point. It's ludicrous and prohibitive. Even the small rollerball is priced exorbitantly high.

I recently purchased Room No. at Bergdorf Goodman and immediately fell in love. The story of the Chateau Marmont spoke to me as a native of LA. I love that it is an extrait and the wearability is beautiful. Room No., is a woody/spicy scent. The combo of the orris butter, vanilla and musk juxtaposed with palo santo makes you want to curl up next to a fireplace. I get tones of compliments and the wearability is excellent. The sales associate told me to layer Room No. with Reine des Anges. Experimenting with that now. The packaging and branding is exquisite.

one of the most “feel good” fragrances ive ever smelt. Imagine riding through los angeles in a nice car with a w fit and the sun is out on a winter day. But, the animalic notes are just bad and its has a very peculiar leather and milk note. the price is abosolutley appalling being 400 dollars for a 1.7 oz.

It’s a similar vibe as Santa's 33 but smoother with no pickle note. I got 3 compliments the first day I wore it.. This stuff is classy, inoffensive, smooth, creamy, leather, sandalwood, and up lifting. Understated but you will be noticed close up. Excellent performance and sillage.

Leather & Palo Santo with a creamy undertone. It's so good. Versatile enough to wear casually but also in a formal setting (how they managed to this, I have no idea). I'd classify this as a badass fragrance. Be careful with the sprayer. This stuff is potent! If you like Santal 33, the leathers from Tom Ford and in general heavier sandalwoods then you'll definitely like this. It would be a great addition to the ones you already have. 😏 My favorite from the house. 10/10 11/15/2023: I'm so in love with this fragrance. The more I wear it the more I love it. It's a banger in cold weather 🤩 I'll be purchasing it before the year ends.

This smells like riding on the back of a motorcycle, the person you have your arms around is wearing a leather jacket, and you're really into them. If you're overwhelmed with other leather scents, this might be for you, as the sweetness tapers it down. This is lovely and creamy and masculine without being too macho. With that said, once it wears a while, all I can smell is straight leather, which can be done by many other scents. It also doesn't last as long as other leather scents, which was surprising considering how powerfully it started. Overall, I enjoy this, but it probably won't go into my permanent collection. (7/10)

Got the sample set, and I've had it on for an hour or two. I really like the leather scent in this one. It's the most prominent part of the fragrance and makes me picture an old burgundy-colored low-back leather chair, somewhat darkened and discolored from decades of use, and holding up extremely well besides. However, the creaminess is something of a turn-off in this kind of scent, for me. I also tend to agree with francog382 from the reviews below, at least so far. I am not sure if it's just so potent I've become nose-blind (this has happened to me before) and I need to give it more time or another couple tries. But this is my impression so far. I love parts of it but the creaminess just ruins it for me. I'll come back and update this review if my mind changes.

Your average leather fragrance with a touch of creaminess. Smells almost identical to Byredo Sellier. I can think of 4 different fragrances in my collection that smell similar. I smell absolutely no tea, nutmeg, or orris. Projection is super weak and have to bury my nose on my wrist to smell it after 10 mins. Overall, not impressed especially for the price. Bonus points for packaging tho - quite gorgeous.

Imagine Santal 33 without the “pickle” note (I never get that pickle bite in me but I get what they are saying) and instead with an exquisite creamy luxe powder note. Santal has always given me sporty vibes and this one is a more refined and classical version. It’s rare when a similar fragrance surpasses the original but this one does it just right. An classier version.
