Suede

An original and inventive, musky green-yellow-white floral that summons the thickened, fuzzy texture and feel of suede rather than its scent. Suede opens fresh and cucumbery, the violet leaf coming through sharp giving an interesting green tinge as it heads into the main accord where a soft, chalky mimosa entwines with juicy ylang ylang and an almost incense-like, dry neroli. Orange blossom and soft musk lift and soothe. A rich, enveloping dream of a scent, full of wistfulness and calm introspection. From there the mimosa, ylang ylang, musk and benzoin notes continue to develop and dominate the gentlest of dry-downs. One of this house's finest and most unique creations.

Reviewing a sample from 2025. Suede was launched in 2018. Suede is a soft musky floral with unexpected brightness. Suede opens with creamy neroli. The creaminess coming from tamed Ylang-Ylang and a touch of orange blossom. Cucumber and violet leaf add astringency and balance. The base is musky vanilla. The finish is a light powdery clean musk. Not leathery as one might expect. The "suede" effect is the totality of the delicate florals over the musky base. Nicely blended. Quality- very good Unisex- leans feminine Performance-average; stays close, lasts 4-6 hours Overall Suede is a soft, smooth musky fresh floral that, like most Perfumer H fragrances, does not shout. It is discrete, modern and light-hearted. I like it but don't love it due to my personal difficulty with neroli which is prominent here. 7.5/10

From a distance it's a nice honeyed flower scent but if I smell it up close to my wrist I can definitely smell suede note. I don't get any cucumber smell. It's not a full a bottle worthy for me but anyone should give a shot since it's a definitely an interesting smell and quite unique.
