Thumri

It's true to it's name. A wonderful musical/dance/ambiance experience though perfumery where all the notes/movements play in perfect harmony to create a melody which wears light (Flowers) but has a lot of depth, warmth ( resin/tobacco/animalic) and complexity just as Thumri is. For those who does not know what Thumri is, as a perfume it is a beautiful floral chypre in the veins of Franchesca Bianchi, Bogue etc with wonderful exotic touch. Top notch quality, but don't expect a beast. However lasts for 10+ hours but projection is soft.

Uff, I just can't stop sniffing it. I have put 3 new acquisitions on myself right now - H24, Platinum Egoiste and Thumri.. Of all 3 this one is piercing through them and stands out boldly making its presence felt. Feels a lot more similar to Royal Incense as per the initial first hour performance. A must have from Indian perfumery. To me this one is one Rosy, Ambery, Incensy, Patchouliesque, Animalic goodness. WOW :-)

My wife absolutely loves it and is actively trying to steal it from me. She loves Rose based fragrances. Every time I wear it, she gives me compliments, which says a lot about how alluring it smells. It feels very intimate, warm, and incredibly wearable. Perfect for Date Night.

It’s very rare, it doesn’t make me nose-blind. Beautifully blended roses with a powdery whiff — I love it throughout the day. I had a sample and I’ll get the full bottle soon

Hi, my name is Joe. I'm a 6ft 240lb brick wall of a man and I like floral perfumes. I helps that Thumri is nicely balanced. The listed notes will show at least 3 different types and it's extremely hard to pick them out, but to me what I found special was smelling what was obviously an herbal note and then recognizing it's something I've never in my life smelled before. It starts out for me with wild picked roses, bergamot, and a nutty woodiness before transporting me into the my favorite part of the fragrance, the heart notes. More roses, Indian spices of turmeric and ginger coming into play as though I'm acquiring these wild picked flowers in an open market on a far off adventure. I get the sense of freshly picked tobacco leaves nearby where I detect that earthy herbal note I've never smelled before -- it is the jatamansi, and something I must now seek out like a hidden door in a market tent that has been obscured, showcasing a Diagon Alley secret I never knew existed. With some research I see it exists in many attainable potions of nostril teasing elixir, so I will smell it once again. Returning from my side quest to the market I'm greeted with the base, a softly sweet mixture of tonka and vanilla cutting through growing waves of leathery ambery funky (hello animalics) musk; late into the dry down the oud woodiness incense lends itself as structure to hold it all together.

thick sharp and syrupy Indian rose with a huge amount of resins. A leathery animalic oudwith not too much skank. There comes a sweetness that pierces through much later. More of a winter scent. A different rose oud

If you like animalics and you also want a rose perfume, this is your juice. I place it on top of all amouage rose scents I have.
